I don't really want to recommend the place, as I always like to have a free table. The schnitzels simply deserve the rating: delicious. Thanks to the team at Sandmann.

From the outside, it looks like a quaint corner pub, but inside, it's a rustic restaurant with extremely friendly staff and delicious food with generous portions. The menu is varied, but the highlight is the many schnitzel dishes, featuring real schnitzel cooked in the pan rather than a frozen schnitzel from the deep fryer! It's worth a visit!

Simply the most delicious and extraordinary schnitzels you could ever wish for and eat.

Anyone who stops here is well served! The food is really tasty and rich. In comparison to other restaurants, the schnitzels here are not hammered thin until they are no longer possible and then covered in meter-high breading. The schnitzels are thick and juicy and no matter what type of schnitzel you choose, you will definitely be full. A full stomach and the urge to not want to move are guaranteed here in any case. A great restaurant. The fact that you can only eat here with a reservation speaks for itself. Be sure to try the big goose dinner at Christmas. This restaurant is fun and the service so far has been super friendly and attentive. A big compliment...keep it up! A little tip... if you arrive by car, you shouldn't park nearby in the Forum Köpenick car park. This saves you from being late and feeling unnecessarily hungry when looking for a parking space.

Very nice restaurant. Waitress humor full and Berlin snout meant in a positive sense :) Service very fast drinks as well as food :) Both schnitzels had a convincing taste. When it comes to the selection of schnitzel combinations, I think everyone will find something that suits them. Cocoa was also very tasty :) Price wise OK. Parking is almost impossible, but I think you can also park in a parking garage from the center during the week :)

Great ambience. Here the heart is also on the tongue of the cellars. That's what makes the Sandman Restaurant so quaint. The food is great. Schnitzel of any kind. Simply delicious. Price performance is great. There is a coloring menu and pens for children. It's nice that the kids are kept busy.

German cuisine with friendly and fast service. The service is served with Berlin charm and special requests are also fulfilled. When I visited in the middle of the week it was surprisingly well attended. Speaks for the Sandman.

We loved the Sandmann restaurant in Berlin Köpenick! The service was excellent - the staff were friendly, attentive and always there for us. We particularly liked how child-friendly it was: there were coloring pictures and pens, so our little ones were kept very busy. The portions were generous and the taste was a real highlight. We felt completely comfortable and will definitely come back. Absolutely recommended!

The Sandmann restaurant impresses with its rustic atmosphere and top service. Special requests are no problem and will be fulfilled immediately. The service is super friendly and committed. The food is freshly prepared, comes to the table hot and is beautifully arranged on the plates. I was there with a larger group and all guests were served their food at the same time. I call that great! 👍 The portions are generous and the salad is super fresh. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos. I'll do that on one of my future visits. Thanks for the lovely evening to the entire team!

I ordered the Herren Schnitzel and it was absolutely delicious. The bacon was nice and juicy with good spices and not a little present. The schnitzel is also great. It's the right size and because it's a little narrower but longer, you can easily cut it into pieces. I didn't notice anything negative about the fried potatoes either. The only thing I miss is the sauce because there wasn't much sauce on the plate but it tasted even better. I would definitely order the same thing here next time.

Everything was just right: from the rustic little room where we all felt at home; from the buffet, balanced, delicious and something for everyone to our great service fairy, who did a great job the whole time. Reservierung hat geklappt, das Lokal wurde schon mehrfach besucht. Wir wurden auch heute nicht enttäuscht. Unser Essen: Gänsekeule mit Klößen und Rotkraut war super lecker und hat uns prima geschmeckt. Das Lokal ist gemütlich eingerichtet und ich kann es nur empfehlen. Vielen Dank für die schnelle und sehr freundliche Bedienung in der Gaststätte.

Borgmannstrasse, corner of Mandrella Platz 1. That was the location where we met for our class reunion. 48 years is pretty good. Fragrant mood. Food warm and cold. Yummy. The service was very attentive. The supplies just kept rolling in! 25 people fit in there easily. It was great fun and we will definitely meet there again.

Class reunion November 2nd, 2024 in the “Sandman” party room. Everything worked out great (as agreed)!! We had a class of service staff just for us! The buffet left nothing to be desired and the atmosphere was rustic and cozy! We felt “very comfortable” as if we were at home. The price per person was more than fair. Great atmosphere, children's menu to color with colored pencils. Children's menu included nuggets, rice pudding and children's schnitzel. Service very friendly. The food was also very tasty and the portions were very generous. We'd love to come back!

Rustic restaurant with simple furnishings. The schnitzel with side dish was attractively presented and didn't take long to prepare. The staff was very friendly and individual requests were addressed and fulfilled perfectly. I was able to get a personal impression of the freshness of the salad and a conversation with the owner explained the freshness of the salad to me.

We were there as part of a family celebration. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The menu was diverse and requests for changes were addressed immediately. The food was very tasty and enough even for our teenagers. Gladly again 😊

Schnitzel lovers will have a treat here

As a former Köpenicker, I regularly drove past this restaurant, but never managed to stop there. On Saturday the time had come. My companion and I went there for dinner. The restaurant was well attended. We took a seat outside and the friendly waitress immediately brought the cards. This restaurant focuses on schnitzel variations of all kinds and home-style cooking. For me the decision was not easy. I could have ordered anything there, but then decided on the farmer's breakfast and my companion the Wiener-style schnitzel. Both portions were really huge and delicious. The farmer's breakfast with salad was particularly difficult to cope with. I really enjoyed it and I think the chef knows his craft. Unfortunately, such good restaurants are becoming increasingly rare. The price-performance ratio was completely fine or almost too cheap. The staff was quick, friendly and on the ball. In short, it was a successful evening and we are guaranteed to visit again. To the head of the house: Keep it up.........exactly like this.......

We had dinner today with 4 people. We come from Lower Saxony and visited our son and his girlfriend in Berlin. It tasted delicious, the price was perfect. Nice and friendly service.

Great restaurant, super delicious cuisine, especially the different types of schnitzel and the farmer's breakfast is a dream... super tasty, but the prices are really fair. Several types of beer on tap Budweiser, Carlsberg, Lübzer etc... Top. You can have a really delicious meal here. The owner is also a great guy.

Super leckere Schnitzel. Schneller Service. Immer nen lockeren Spruch auf den Lippen. Die Schnitzel auf den Bildern haben wir am ersten Tag dort verspeist. Sehr knusprig. Pommes lecker und kross. Am nächsten Tag sind wir gegen 21.00 noch hin und haben noch ein Schnitzel bekommen obwohl die Küche eigentlich schon zu hatte. Der Chef selbst kam raus und sagte welche Varianten er noch anbieten könnte. Super! Dit is Berlin. 👍🏻

A small restaurant in the middle of a residential area. The staff was super nice. Even though it was fully booked, we were still able to eat. German cuisine where you can taste the joy of cooking. I thought it was really great to have a separate children's card that could also be used for coloring. The portions were really big, so you'll definitely be full.

Today we went to the Sandman based on a recommendation. We did not regret it. We ate pork knuckle, which was really delicious. The service was great. We'd love to go there again.
