We've enjoyed going to Sandmann for many years and always looked forward to the amazing schnitzel creations (and the other dishes, of course). This was the first time we were a bit disappointed. The schnitzel my wife ate wasn't the schnitzel we were used to, especially since it was €2 more expensive. The "farmer's breakfast" had a cheese filling and took some getting used to. Unfortunately, the "Get Two" membership system has also been abolished, so we'll certainly be significantly reducing our visits to Sandmann. It's a shame, it doesn't taste as good anymore, everything on the memory card has become more expensive, and the Get Two incentive has also been abolished. But the staff is absolutely friendly

The restaurant "Zum Sandmann" is a real insider tip for anyone who loves schnitzel – and really good ones! Everything is just right here: The schnitzels are golden brown and crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside – just as they should be. The selection is huge, from classic to creative – there's something for every taste. The side dishes are also top-notch and perfectly matched. The portions are generous, so you're guaranteed to go home full and happy.

Ordered a buffet again, and it was incredibly delicious ;) Delivered super-punctually, more than enough, very nicely presented, and the value for money for the quantity, service, and top quality was absolutely spot on. Kudos, once again, to the entire team!!! We'll be back soon to enjoy the restaurant again and (in my opinion) the best schnitzel in Köpenick :D

Excellent schnitzel, truly generous portions, delicious Lübzer Pils from Mecklenburg, and friendly, attentive service. We recently moved to Köpenick, and the Sandmann has the potential to become our regular haunt.

We've been to Sandmann several times. The service was always fine, but the food got worse and worse. The schnitzel with mushrooms was my favorite. Unfortunately, the mushrooms and sauce are now poured over the schnitzel, which of course doesn't make it crispy. I couldn't detect any dressing on the salad either, neither visually nor in terms of taste. Well, for me, the Sandmann thing is over. (The second chance wasted; it's probably the standard there now.)

Aside from the ambiance, I found the waitress very pushy. Absolutely unacceptable. The vegetarian meal I had wasn't that great to my taste. The large rösti could have been cooked longer, even if it hadn't been cooked properly. The salad was too dry for me and lacked dressing. Unfortunately, I had a stomachache afterward.

We wanted to order food from Sandmann for our first day of school. The owner was really VERY rude and just told us, "You probably don't want to spend any money!" Totally unfriendly. We wanted to order schnitzel, meatballs, and side dishes for 30 people. The price quoted was €25-30 per person, with the comment, "You can't expect much for that!" Truly unfriendly to a potential customer! Absolutely unfriendly! A warm schnitzel with side dishes costs around €18 in a restaurant. It's no wonder people don't order food there. It's a shame, really, because we liked the place, but not anymore, and we'll let those around us know that.

After quite a while, we stopped by here to enjoy a good schnitzel again. If you like schnitzel in all its forms, this is the place for you. Everything was freshly prepared and very well seasoned. The service was attentive and friendly. The ambiance gave you the impression of sitting in a Berlin restaurant with a traditional flair. A clear thumbs up! We'll be back!

That's what I call top-notch! 👍 The portions are generous and the salad was super fresh. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos. I'll definitely do that on one of my next visits. Today I stopped by Sandmann's again for schnitzel. After a misunderstanding over the order, I initially ate the wrong schnitzel. After the owner noticed that it wasn't quite my taste, he promptly replaced it, even though I'd already eaten almost half the dish. I thought that was really nice.

Down-to-earth German cuisine, a varied menu, a good beer selection, and relaxed, friendly service. Always happy to return.

From the outside, it looks like a quaint corner pub, but inside, it's a rustic restaurant with extremely friendly staff and delicious food with generous portions. The menu is varied, but the highlight is the many schnitzel dishes, featuring real schnitzel cooked in a pan rather than a frozen platter from the deep fryer! It's worth a visit!

Simply the most delicious and extraordinary schnitzels you could ever wish for and eat.

Anyone who stops here is well served! The food is really tasty and rich. In comparison to other restaurants, the schnitzels here are not hammered thin until they are no longer possible and then covered in meter-high breading. The schnitzels are thick and juicy and no matter what type of schnitzel you choose, you will definitely be full. A full stomach and the urge to not want to move are guaranteed here in any case. A great restaurant. The fact that you can only eat here with a reservation speaks for itself. Be sure to try the big goose dinner at Christmas. This restaurant is fun and the service so far has been super friendly and attentive. A big compliment...keep it up! A little tip... if you arrive by car, you shouldn't park nearby in the Forum Köpenick car park. This saves you from being late and feeling unnecessarily hungry when looking for a parking space.

Very nice restaurant. Waitress humor full and Berlin snout meant in a positive sense :) Service very fast drinks as well as food :) Both schnitzels had a convincing taste. When it comes to the selection of schnitzel combinations, I think everyone will find something that suits them. Cocoa was also very tasty :) Price wise OK. Parking is almost impossible, but I think you can also park in a parking garage from the center during the week :)

Great ambience. Here the heart is also on the tongue of the cellars. That's what makes the Sandman Restaurant so quaint. The food is great. Schnitzel of any kind. Simply delicious. Price performance is great. There is a coloring menu and pens for children. It's nice that the kids are kept busy.

We loved the Sandmann restaurant in Berlin Köpenick! The service was excellent - the staff were friendly, attentive and always there for us. We particularly liked how child-friendly it was: there were coloring pictures and pens, so our little ones were kept very busy. The portions were generous and the taste was a real highlight. We felt completely comfortable and will definitely come back. Absolutely recommended!

I ordered the Herren Schnitzel and it was absolutely delicious. The bacon was nice and juicy with good spices and not a little present. The schnitzel is also great. It's the right size and because it's a little narrower but longer, you can easily cut it into pieces. I didn't notice anything negative about the fried potatoes either. The only thing I miss is the sauce because there wasn't much sauce on the plate but it tasted even better. I would definitely order the same thing here next time.

Borgmannstrasse, corner of Mandrella Platz 1. That was the location where we met for our class reunion. 48 years is pretty good. Fragrant mood. Food warm and cold. Yummy. The service was very attentive. The supplies just kept rolling in! 25 people fit in there easily. It was great fun and we will definitely meet there again.

Reservierung hat geklappt, das Lokal wurde schon mehrfach besucht. Wir wurden auch heute nicht enttäuscht. Unser Essen: Gänsekeule mit Klößen und Rotkraut war super lecker und hat uns prima geschmeckt. Das Lokal ist gemütlich eingerichtet und ich kann es nur empfehlen. Class reunion November 2nd, 2024 in the “Sandman” party room. Everything worked out great (as agreed)!! We had a class of service staff just for us! The buffet left nothing to be desired and the atmosphere was rustic and cozy! We felt “very comfortable” as if we were at home. The price per person was more than fair. Rustic restaurant with simple furnishings. The schnitzel with side dish was attractively presented and didn't take long to prepare. The staff was very friendly and individual requests were addressed and fulfilled perfectly. I was able to get a personal impression of the freshness of the salad and a conversation with the owner explained the freshness of the salad to me.

Great atmosphere, children's menu to color with colored pencils. Children's menu included nuggets, rice pudding and children's schnitzel. Service very friendly. The food was also very tasty and the portions were very generous. We'd love to come back!
