The food was OK, but we had to wait 2 hours for the food.

We went to San Calogero for dinner on Easter Monday with the family (5 people). First of all, it takes a lot of time! Service: Waiters were very friendly. Unfortunately, that doesn't help if you wait more than 2 hours for your food. Even the starter took over an hour. Therefore unfortunately only 1 star. Eat: The portions are very large, so if you're hungry you'll be well satisfied here. The price is great, you can't complain about Tortellini Alla Panna for €8.5. The taste is okay, you won't be overwhelmed. Ambience: The place is pretty rustic, and the beer garden in summer is certainly very pleasant

Will not recommend him, long waiting times, starts with the order. Drinks took about 15 minutes from ordering. There were 11 of us, the first ones were almost through with their food and the last person only got their food. One of the waitresses ignored us and instead of taking orders and clearing our table of dishes, he cleared another table.

The food didn't come even after 2 hours. So no rating for the food. We left the store without food. Shit.

The price is also very good. We had 2 pizzas, a children's portion of pasta and a bottle of water and paid around €33. Nice Italian restaurant in the heart of the Agnesviertel. The interior design wasn't to my taste, but the food was! The pizza was very well topped and really tasty! In summer you can also sit outside here! And the dishes are really cheap here!!

A pleasant meal alone, on a Monday lunchtime, in a quiet setting. Pizza, chocolate cake and coffee... it was perfect. I recommend this restaurant.

A very cozy restaurant that makes you feel at home as if you were in deepest Italy. For starters there were delicious, large pizza rolls with garlic butter on the house. Very fair prices for one of the best pizzas I've eaten so far. The pasta was also a very large portion and the salad was also impressively large. Good garlic oil available upon request and friendly staff. Already a little insider tip!

Wir waren am 11.11 da gewesen. Ein Abendessen in der Familie. Der Service ist sehr gut, leider war ich mit meiner Pizza überhaupt nicht zufrieden. Der Belag zu dünn und der Pizzateig war viel zu dick, an manchen Stellen bis 0.5 cm . Ich hatte es vom letzten Jahr besser in Erinnerung. Bitte beim nächsten Mal den Teig dünner machen.

Absolutely inappropriate waiting time, we were four adults and three kids, we waited for at least one and a half hours, food is just mediocre. Together with waiting time this place deserves one star at max.

Were there on a weekend. Nice atmosphere and the service was very accommodating. Pizza rolls are free and taste great. Unfortunately, the salmon noodles tasted almost exclusively of garlic and the salmon was very overcooked. The ham was missing from the tortellini. This may also have been due to the high capacity utilization. Still, it was tasty and after being pointed out the dishes, we didn't have to pay for it.

Very friendly staff, the food was excellent and the ambience is great too. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the toilets were. My wife was also able to confirm this for the women's toilet :)

The San Calogero is a little insider tip for lovers of Italian cuisine. In the Italian ambience and excellent service you can enjoy very tasty food here. The pizzas and pasta dishes are just great. I can highly recommend 👍👍👍👌👌👌!

Very relaxed atmosphere, very good food, with a quality that is unrivaled for the price.

Today we ordered 3 pizzas, 3 funghi, 1 spinaci. So I can say, the pizzas were so delicious. The floor is not too thin, just right. The edge is so airy and no expense was spared with the mushrooms either. The people there were also very nice and gave us two more limoncellos during the 20 minute wait. 😁 I'll definitely go there more often 👌🏻

I don't know if there is a pizza or pasta anywhere in Cologne that is tastier than here?! I don't think so :) And at reasonable prices! Only recommended!

A good Italian meal yesterday Whit Monday in a - I would say - trattoria. We used the waiting time on the cozy terrace to have good conversations with the Italian family, accompanied by small appetizers that we could share. And also with the knowledge that good food takes time to prepare: the eggplants on my Paccheri alla Nonna, for example, were freshly fried. And I know what I'm talking about: I'm a native Neapolitan. We'd love to come back. It was like southern Italy, only in Cologne

I cannot recommend the restaurant. Today we waited more than 1st for a pizza and a spaghetti carbonara. The food wasn't particularly tasty and the waiter was really stressed. Hands off! Never again ☹️

Highly recommended and great service

San Galogero in Cologne is a charming restaurant that I visited for lunch last Sunday. As a big fan of Italian food, I was excited to try the dishes on offer and for the most part I wasn't disappointed. The pizza I ordered was really delicious. The dough was nice and crispy and not too thin, the topping was rich and the combination of ingredients was simply perfect. I enjoyed every single bite and was really happy with my choice. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the lasagna my companion ordered. It wasn't particularly tasteful. It's a shame because I expected more. The service at San Galogero was very attentive and friendly. She took the time to answer our questions and also gave us some recommendations. We felt we were in good hands and the service was overall satisfactory. The restaurant's beautiful terrace is particularly worth mentioning. On a sunny day like this we were able to enjoy our meal outside and take in the pleasant atmosphere. It really was a highlight and made our visit even more enjoyable. Another plus point are the prices at San Galogero. They are really fair and remind me of the good old days 15 years ago. For the quality of the food and the service you receive here, the prices are more than reasonable. Overall, I had a positive experience at San Galogero. The pizza was excellent, the service was attentive and the terrace was beautiful. Only the lasagna was a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, I can happily recommend the restaurant, especially if you are looking for good prices and a cozy atmosphere.

Plenty of selection of dishes on the menu, good food preparation. Nice but unfortunately inattentive service, we would have liked to have ordered something more, drinks were also forgotten for our table. It's a shame, hence the point deduction.

One of the few restaurants still run by a truly Italian family. The service is very friendly and very flexible regarding the guests' wishes. The food is good and plentiful, the wines are tasty, you feel comfortable here.

Really very well balanced pizza and salads at fair prices and very nice service. The meat dishes are also good. That's how it has to be.

After eating pizza, diarrhea and indigestion 30 minutes after eating. I do not recommend. The peppers were full of mold and the ham was full of salt.

Today I ordered a pizza and I couldn't eat it, the ham on it was so salty that it was a disaster, the mushrooms were old, cut at least 3 days in advance, and apart from that, the service and atmosphere were perfect.

We were welcomed so warmly on Valentine's Day, even though it was full. We were immediately offered a limoncello by one of the 5 nice waiters. The ambience reflects the family tradition exactly and the food is incredibly delicious. I have rarely eaten so well and, above all, cheaply at an Italian restaurant. I have not experienced such a price-performance ratio for a long time. There's freshly tapped gaff for 2.50 for 0.3. I haven't had such a perfect restaurant visit for years and I will visit this restaurant again and again, even though it's 5 km away. I would like to thank every waiter, cook or accountant who was responsible for this completely perfect experience.

Leider irgendwie eine Enttäuschung von den Speisen her. Der Salat war mit günstigen Zutaten. Die Sauce des Salat hat überhaupt nicht überzeugt und war eher von wässriger Konsistenz. Die Nudeln waren leider nicht mit frischen Nudeln gemacht und die Sauce konnte den Vergleich zur anderen Restaurants nicht mithalten. Insgesamt leider drei Sterne nur.

Wir sind sehr spontan in dieses Restaurant eingekehrt, wurden freundlich empfangen und haben sehr gut gegessen! Typisch italienische Küche, sehr lecker! :) wir kommen gern wieder!

mein Lieblingsitaliener, das Essen ist wirklich gut und vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältniss mal davon abgesehen haben San Calogero den besten Service der noch ganz alte Schule ist. Die Terasse ist genial um da sein erstes Date zu haben, ich sprech da aus erfahrung, Probiert den Laden aus ihr werdet nicht enttäuscht ;D

Echt een pareltje, lekker Italiaans eten. Zeer gastvrij, lekkere wijn erbij, een aanrader ook qua prijs/qualiteit.

Wir waren zu viert und haben jeweils etwas anderes gegessen. Unserer Meinung nach ist das ein sehr gutes Lokal mit vorzüglichen Speisen, angemessenen Preisen und einem sehr freundlichen Personal. Da es in der Nähe der Flora liegt, bietet es sich an, den Besuch miteinander zu verbinden. Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier, aber sicher nicht zum letzten Mal.

Zu einem spontanen Abendessen haben wir uns fürs San Calogero entschieden. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, der Laden sehr gut besucht. Die Speisekarte bot selbst für mich als Vegetarier so viele Optionen, dass die Entscheidung schwer fiel. Als Entreé bekamen wir frische Pizzabrötchen mit schöner Kräuterbutter und nach dem Essen einen Limoncello. Die Außenterrasse ist groß und gemütlich und weil es so mild war konnten wir lange sitzen.

Authentisches Restaurant mit tollem Ambiente. Auf das Essen musste man nicht lange warten und es gab noch Brötchen mit Knoblauch als Vorspeise.

Wir waren mit vier Personen dort. Vorweg, das Essen war lecker! Allerdings haben wir ca. 1,5 Stunden (!) auf unser Essen (Nudelgericht) gewartet und das hat wirklich keinen Spaß gemacht. In der Zeit ist dreimal Lieferando an unserem Tisch vorbeigelaufen und man fragte sich, ob man vielleicht schneller bedient worden wäre, hätte man auf der Terrasse das Essen von Lieferando liefern lassen. Der Kellner fühlte sich auf den Schlips getreten, als ich nach ca. einer Stunde mal nachfragte, wann denn mit dem Essen zu rechnen sei. Ich möge mich gedulden, die Küche täte ja, was sie könnte, war die sinngemäße Antwort. Wenn man wenigstens unaufgefordert ein Kölsch auf's Haus bekommen hätte mit einer Entschuldigung, dass es solange dauern würde, hätte man ja ein Auge zudrücken können. So muss ich sagen: Zumindest abends werde ich da nicht mehr hingehen. Schade!

Ziemlich okayer Standard Italiener. Service bemüht und nett, man bekommt auch extra Olivenöl, finde ich wichtig. Essen nicht herausragend gut aber völlig in Ordnung. Dafür ist das Preisniveau auch mehr als fair. Nur die Zeit zwischen Vorspeise und Hauptgang ist viel zu kurz. Das kann man abfragen oder einfach besser timen. Ist Montag, ich hab nix mehr vor 😉🇮🇹

Klein Italië in Keulen. Vriendelijk personeel, op loopafstand van Aparthotel MyCologne. Sfeer was gezellig, prijs/kwaliteit verhouding was prima. De pizza die we over hadden konden we meenemen naar het hotel.

Für uns ist die vegetarische Pizza von San Calogero auch nach vielen Jahren noch immer unübertroffen. Quasi veg. Antipasti auf einer Pizza und sehr lecker mariniert. Als Familienblech haben wir sie nun für eine Party vorbestellt und alle waren total begeistert. Absolute Empfehlung!

Authentisches, leckeres Essen ohne Schnickschnack, total aufmerksame, freundliche Bedienung und alles zu ungewöhnlich fairen Preisen. Für Gourmets wahrscheinlich zu schlicht, eher das italienische Pendant zum deutschen "Gutbürgerlich". Unkomplizierte Weine zu unkomplizierten Preisen gibt es auch. Und am Ende 'nen Limoncello auf's Haus. Mille Grazie:)

Over 2 hours waiting for food 1 hour to get a bottle of wine, the starter was gone when the wine arrived. The carpaccio was borderline not fresh we were both sick we would definitely not return. One waiter was nice the other one was very unfriendly and annoyed when he had to serve us

Zufällig nach dem Besuch der Flora Köln sind wir im Restaurant/ Pizzeria San Calogero gelandet. Leckeres italienisches Essen und Getränke zu zivilen Preisen und ein aufmerksamer Chef, der sich um die Gäste kümmert. Die Pizzen und Nudelgerichte sollten auch hungrige Gäste satt machen. Zumal vorab kleine Brötchen und Kräuterbutter gereicht werden.

Gemütliche Außengastro mit sehr freundlichem, zugewandten Service. Die Pizzen waren lecker und absolut Top Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Top Essen zum guten Preis - hier kocht die nonna noch selbst

Ich war zum Mittagessen dort. Ich hatte eine leckere Pizza mit schön knusprigem Teig. Sehr gut 👍. Ich habe draußen gesessen. Trotzdem es in der Innenstadt liegt, ist es sehr ruhig.

Unsere Rettung mit Hunger um halb elf Abends. Noch komplett warme Küche, sehr leckere Pizza und Nudeln, schöner Rotwein, sehr freundlich - prima, sehr gerne wieder!

Kleiner Italiener in einer Seitenstraße vom Rhein. Ambiente war gut, wir haben draußen gesessen. Die Bestellung vom Essen wurde rasch aufgenommen, Getränke kamen auch zügig. Dazu wurden für jeden zwei kleine Brötchen und Knoblauch- Kräuterbutter gereicht. Brötchen waren aus Pizzateig, sehr kross gebacken, dass man etwas Schwierigkeiten beim Aufschneiden hatte, schmeckten aber lecker. Dann setzte die italienische Gemütlichkeit ein. Auf den Hauptgang mussten wir schon ne ganze Weile warten. Essen war lecker. Ich hatte Bandnudeln mit Lachs und war ein wenig traurig, da ich den Lachs zwischen den Nudeln echt suchen musste. Das al Forno meines Mannes war nach seinen Aussagen top. Und weiter ging es mit der italienischen Gemütlichkeit....als unsere Getränke leer waren, kam leider keiner mehr an unseren Tisch und fragte, ob wir noch was haben wollen. Erst als wir nach der Rechnung fragten, kam die Frage, ob wir zufrieden waren. Leider hatten wir dann auch keine Lust mehr, was zu bestellen. Auf die Rechnung haben wir auch lange warten müssen, aber es gab ja dann noch ein Likörchen auf Kosten des Hauses.
