Tolles Thai-Restaurant mit riesiger Auswahl und vielen veganen Gerichten. Freundliches Personal. Schönes, individuelles Interieur. Wir haben es genossen, drinnen zu sitzen und zu essen. Es gibt einen schönen, offenen Hinterhof.

Ich hatte Pad Thai. Es hatte nicht genug Wok-Aroma und war nicht ausreichend gewürzt. In der Restaurantküche lief ein lauter Fernseher, was sehr störend war.

Sehr leckere & empfehlenswerte Speisen, Aufmerksamer Service, Trotz guter besuchten Restaurant mussten wir nicht lange auf unser Essen warten, Schön angerichtet, ordentliche Portionsgröße... Preis/ Leistung stimmt hier zu 100%! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Essen super aber 10 Euro teurer als Vorort, weil über Ubereats bestellt. Das ist ein heftiger Unterschied.

Wir waren heute spontan mit 4 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern dort. Die Atmosphäre war sehr herzlich, die Gastgeber sind toll auf die kleinen eingegangen und ein Hochstuhl und Spielzeug wurde auch gleich gebracht Das Essen war Klasse, große Portionen, top Preis und was soll ich sagen: Lecker! Der einzige Stern Abzug ist beim Ambiente, im Foyer saß ein Gast und hat genüsslich eine geraucht. Ist doof wenn man nach dem Essen raus will und erstmal durch ne Rauchschwade läuft.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Restaurant schön eingerichtet. Wir haben uns hier komplett wohl gefühlt. Hervorheben möchten wir außerdem, dass es eine komplett vegane Seite im Menü gab. Hier war von allem etwas dabei. Das Essen war sehr lecker, vor allem die Kokosmilchsuppe ist sehr zu empfehlen. Lediglich das Pad Thai, war für unseren Geschmack etwas zu ölig.

Ich hatte zum mitnehmen die M10: Reis war verkocht und hat nicht geschmeckt, Soße ist ausgelaufen.

Ich habe heute am To-Go-Fenster bestellt und muss leider sagen, dass ich nicht überzeugt bin. Der Geschmack von V13 war mir persönlich zu fettlastig. Der Tofu war aber okay. Meine Kritik richtet sich an die Art der Zubereitung. Wenn ich schon am offenen Fenster koche, dann sollte ich zumindest darauf achten, dass es etwas appetitlich vonstatten geht. Leider schniefte ein Koch mehrfach ins Taschentuch und schnitt dann ohne sich jeweils die Hände zu waschen (!) schmerzbefreit weiter Gemüsevorräte. Meine Begleitung hat das ebenfalls als sehr negativ wahrgenommen. Zum Glück war unser Gemüse/Tofu zu dem Zeitpunkt schon in der Pfanne. Leider war das Erlebnis insgesamt nicht so, dass ich wieder herkommen würde.

Sehr gutes Essen, frische Zutaten und freundlicher Service. Die Atmosphäre war angenehm und insgesamt war es eine sehr schöne Erfahrung. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Hier zu essen fühlt sich an wie bei den Besitzern zu Hause; sie sind so freundlich, der Service ist fantastisch und das Essen einfach köstlich ✨ Vielen Dank für alles! Bis bald!

Sehr nette Bedienung, sehr leckeres Essen und vor allem authentisch 🥰. Preise sind auch absolut angemessen, Portionen sehr groß und das Restaurant ist sehr tierfreundlich 🥰. Wir kommen definitiv wieder ☺️

Sehr gute Auswahl an leckeren Gerichten

In Summe durchschnittlich. Wirkte insgesamt etwas alles lieblos - Essen, Service, Einrichtung. Es schmeckt passabel, nicht aussergewöhnlich. Kann man machen. Geht man nicht, verpasst man aber auch nichts.

Ich kann nur für das Curry und das Phad Thai sprechen, aber meiner Meinung nach das beste in Erlangen. Die Preise sind besonders zur Mittagszeit mehr als in Ordnung und man wird immer schnell und freundlich bedient.

Super lecker und wirklich faire Preise.... Essen kam sehr schnell und für unsere Hunde würde sofort Wasser bereit gestellt. Toller Laden...

Auf die Wünsche von Kunde gehen die nicht ein. Es gibt für die Portion günstigere Asiaten in Erlangen.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Bedienung überaus freundlich. Ich hatte ein tolles Erlebnis und komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Es Befindet sich Staub auf Sachen. Ich komme seit Jahren hierher aber immer das gleiche hab sie drauf angesprochen aber würde immer noch nicht gemacht. Das Essen ist aber lecker.

I think the food is very good. However, the price-performance ratio has changed drastically over the years. A noodle box (Phase Thai vegetarian) now costs €12.50 and the portion is only moderately sized.

The food (red curry with duck) was really delicious. The server was very friendly. However, what we didn't like at all was that our glasses were empty long before we were asked if we wanted anything else.

A small and cozy restaurant with an inner courtyard. It's almost always full, so reservations are recommended, especially for larger groups. The food is delicious, and the selection of vegetarian dishes is particularly impressive. The service is very good, fast, and courteous. Due to the small size, it can be quite noisy when it's full, so keep that in mind. They also offer window sales and takeout. The value for money is definitely good here.

I love ordering their Pad Thai to go but also to eat. It tastes so authentic and delicious with a very generous portion. Fantastic!!

Despite only three tables being occupied, we had to wait an unusually long time for the menu. During this time, the waiters were more preoccupied with conversations or serving other guests than with promptly attending to our needs. We ordered two curries, two skewers, and a dessert of banana sticky rice. The skewers were unfortunately dry and, at €6.50, not recommended. The curries (€17 per portion, plus €2 for a small extra portion of rice) tasted okay, but the quantity wasn't sufficient, so the price of €19 wasn't enough to fill you up. The dessert seemed bland overall and flavorful. Other negative aspects were that the restrooms weren't clean and the ambiance in the dining room seemed cold, uncomfortable, and dated. Given this, we can't understand the numerous positive reviews.

Samui is the best Asian/Thai restaurant in Erlangen and the surrounding area! We love going here as a family, but also individually. Extremely delicious and authentic food and very friendly and attentive staff. We're always happy to come back, including today. 👍 See you next time.

Mundane Duck for a expensive price comparing to other restaurant. Normal size of the duck, less rice and a whole zoo of vegetables inside (I had potatoes carrots, symbol sprouts, green beens, broccoli and mushrooms ) sauce was watery.

It must be said that the dishes are generous and there's a very (too?) large selection...blessed are vegans! There are plenty of Thai flavors in the sauces and seasonings of the meats and shrimp, which are beautifully showcased. It's a shame that the chill in the room where I was sitting dampened my enthusiasm for Samui, especially when I went to pay my bill, which was refused by credit card. A quick stroll to the nearest ATM wasn't a welcome surprise.

Love this place! This is my must visit restaurant everytime I come to Erlangen, as it never fails to fix my Asian craving. Eventhough food is quite pricey, the portion is huge! Especially enjoyed their Pad Thai and red curry. Once we arrived 5mins before closing, and the staff were more than welcome, assuring us that it was still okay to order and dine in. Thank you!

We were there for the first time today but wouldn't come back. We ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and were unfortunately very disappointed. The Pad Thai was barely seasoned and was therefore pretty tasteless. What a shame! However, service was friendly.

We regularly pick up our Red Thai Curry with Chicken (M5) for lunch. The food is always fresh and tastes good. The quality has always been consistent so far. The portion sizes are very generous for lunch. For takeout, we call 15 minutes in advance and then pick it up at the window. The downside: Unfortunately, they only accept cash payments, which isn't up to date.

Extremely delicious vegan tempeh with vegetables and rice. I'll definitely come back for that.

I recently visited this Thai restaurant and was very satisfied. Even though I didn't have a reservation, a place was kindly found for me. The staff was extremely courteous and attentive. I particularly liked that they added additional shrimp to my soup at my request. The food was delicious and authentic, the atmosphere pleasant and relaxed. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good Thai food and friendly service.

Thai people with good food. But sometimes it's the little things. Food wasn't very warm (but there was a schnapps ;-) ) and the portions were quite small for the price. Service only came by if necessary. The table tipped. But I would go there again. I was told it wasn't always like this.

I went with a group of 10 to get food. The lady taking our order was very kind and efficient. The food was amazingly fast and came out all at once. I met the owner outside and had a lovely chat with him! Genuinely an establishment of good, kind people with great food and atmosphere. The place closed at 9:30 and we didn't know but there was no pressure or anything. They also offer small things like on your way out a fortune cookie or apple. I'll be back again :) !

Wir haben hier sehr gut zu Mittag gegessen. Die Portionen waren ausreichend, viel und super super lecker. Haben uns sehr wohl und gut bedient gefühlt, die Zeit verging wie im Flug.

Attention: Cash only The store is really nice and the service was very friendly and attentive! I had dish 82 and unfortunately the dish had no taste... the vegetables weren't freshly cut either but were bought 100% frozen and thawed. Unfortunately, the portion of rice wasn't particularly generous either. For the price you can ask for more. That's why I wouldn't come back but maybe I just ordered the wrong thing...

I can't say much about the atmosphere, I ordered Pad Thai (vegetarian) to take away. It was very tasty, it was also a lime, the portion was large and the waiting time was short.

I've been going there again and again for years and am thrilled by the special vegan menu.

Super good food. Very, very large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Service was very quick and attentive. For me, the small backyard is a real highlight. But if you're expecting a chic backyard, you're wrong! But that's exactly what makes it so charming. I would love to come back!

I've been eating here for over 10 years. The quality has always remained the same and very good. I can only recommend the Samui Asia Lounge. Super tasty and friendly staff.

According to the opening times, it is open all day - if you go there at 2:45 p.m., you will be told that you wanted to eat for 30 minutes and you will be sent away as a potential customer - where is that noted? A real no-go and says a lot!

Very tasty food, I would say there is little “Germanized”. Service was always friendly and accommodating.

No reservation was needed on this Sunday since there's plenty of tables in the back. I was excited to try this due to recommendation by a vegan friend and was surprised to find an entire vegan menu card. All the classic dishes are on there but without animal products, but I wanted to try one of the tempeh dishes. Nice nutty flavor and a great source of protein with vegetables and hearty sauce. Staff was very friendly and meal very spicy upon request! Prices are pretty much average for restaurants. Will definitely go there again to try the rest of the menu.

Luckily, while looking for an Asian restaurant for lunch on Good Friday, we came across Samui. The service is very friendly and prompt and the delicious food was served in no time. If we come to Erlangen again, we will definitely stop by again.

Another great stop while exploring restaurants in Erlangen! A thai restaurant with a big menu and good food. I had the Neu pad bai krapao, a beef dish with various veggies. Enjoyed the broth very much. The ambiance of the place is also great, suitable for conversations & meetings.

very tasty food! Some vegan dishes. I had fried rice, vegan with tofu, tempeh and coconut soup - all highly recommended - everything tasted very good. I was there 2 days in a row! Next time I'm in Erlangen I'll 100% be back :)

Food is freshly prepared. Top! For me personally, everything was a bit too al dente. I would have liked a little longer cooking time. Sauce was greasy, but it didn't bother me as I like to eat with plenty of oil.

Always super tasty. And there is always food available when other restaurants are already on break. Highly recommended, even if you are traveling in the Acarden, for example. The range of food available there is worlds away. Price-performance is unbeatable here, the quality is top.

Actually love the food there. I've been going there for years, picking up food or ordering something. Today I ordered a vegan Pad Thai from Lieferando and it was really at least. It contained a whole egg! That doesn't work at all! A friend who lives vegan said this seems to be happening more often there lately... Very disappointing, please change something there... Update: about 30 minutes later there was a call from the restaurant. The employee was very friendly and apologized for the inconvenience and even offered me a refund in the form of a voucher. I found that to be a very nice and professional approach! Therefore changed from 1 to 3 stars.

Oh well. It's just here, and fast and cheap.

Das mit Abstand beste Thai Restaurant in Erlangen. Ob vor Ort oder zum mitnehmen es wird frisch zubereitet. Das Gemüse ist knackig, die Saucen gut verträglich. Auf Wünsche wird Rücksicht genommen. Freundlicher Service. Es lohnt sich und wir sagen danke und kommen immer wieder gerne!

Super Ente, nette kompetente Bedienung. Ich war zum Mittagessen bei Samui Asia Lounge und hatte leckere Frühlingsrollen als Vorspeise und eine perfekte Ente als Hauptgericht. Leider mußte ich auf das Hauptgericht ca. 35 Minuten warten. Wer klasse thailändische Küche mag, sollte das Samui Asia besuchen.

Essen war gut, hätte aber würziger sein können, durchgehend geöffnet, Musik nach meinem Geschmack, nette Bedienung, aber leider nur Bargeld möglich.
