Always happy to come back, table reservations via WhatsApp work without any problems. The food was delicious and the staff was really on the ball. It's a shame that you can't pay by card, but if you know you can adapt to it.

I reserved a table for 8 p.m. It also worked great. But when I arrived the shop was closed and we found ourselves standing in front of a locked door. Because nothing was going on. Lukewarm, tasteless Schäufele, the same with the dumplings and sauce. Many guests were looking for salt and pepper, but these shakers were totally filthy, unclean toilets even when the restaurant opened. Lots of ants on our table in the beer garden, a waiter who was (mathematically) incompetent was to separate the invoice, although expressly requested beforehand.... P.S. If I had read beforehand how the restaurant manager reacts to low ratings or reviews, we would have saved ourselves the visit.

Very cozy restaurant. Very tasty food at more than reasonable prices. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. So if you ever visit the thermal baths or are in a hotel nearby, you should definitely go here to eat. Clearly recommended in every respect!

We had dinner here today on July 23rd, 2024 for my friend's birthday. I ate 3 dumplings with gravy, just tasteless and a very special consistency. We had a salad with turkey strips, which was breaded with a schnitzel (turkey meat). There was so little salad, the taste of the dressing was catastrophic. Rum steak with fries 15 pieces of fries, a disgrace for the price. All in all a failure. Baguette was old. We're definitely not coming back!

Delicious food, I had a tender ox breast, but the quantity was relatively small, so I wasn't completely full. The staff was friendly and could provide information about the food. The waiting time for the food to arrive was relatively long, as was the time from when I registered my payment request until I was able to pay. I can particularly recommend the Schupfnudeln with chanterelles including a small salad for €18 (as of July 2024). Directly behind the Obermaintherme parking lot. The prices are high, but a little cheaper than in the thermal baths themselves. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday is a day off.

We decided to spontaneously go out for dinner on Sunday evening and I called the salt room to reserve a table. When we arrived, we were greeted at the entrance: “We’ll show you your seat.” After a good 30 minutes, I went looking for the waitress. I found both waitresses behind the counter in the basement. When I pointed out that we had been waiting for over 30 minutes for someone to come to take the drinks, the lady reacted with surprise. A short time later the waitress visited us and we were able to place our order. This came a short time later. The food we ordered afterwards finally arrived after 1 hour and 15 minutes. Given the high prices and the modest service, that was probably the last time.

We came spontaneously and just got a table. Not hungry to eat but there was very strong heat and the cold draft beer was just what we needed! The beer from the old brewery was super nice. Yes it was a bit expensive like the other restaurant, but it was worth it. Recommended place. On the next visit we'll have something to eat, that's right!

We went there for dinner last Saturday. We really liked the atmosphere, unfortunately the chairs outside were very hard and there were no seat cushions. To eat: We each had a schnitzel with fried potatoes and egg. The fried potatoes were very oily and tasted like stale fat. However, the onions were well fried. The schnitzel had more breading than meat and was pretty bland in taste. We asked for pepper and salt and had to go downstairs and get it ourselves. The egg was fine again. The schnitzel costs 18 euros and is simply overpriced for the portion size. The still water was lukewarm and the hefeweizen had no foam. All in all, we wouldn't eat there again.

The food was very tasty, friendly staff outside and everything was nice, but you quickly had the whole smell of the schnitzel roast in the restaurant, your eyes burned and in the end you left there and felt as if you were sitting next to the stove would have.

Price and performance do not match. The service is friendly and not attentive and does not ask whether everything is or was OK. The fried potatoes had individual burnt potato slices and onions. The onions were just translucent and not fried. The schnitzel was a "Viennese style" schnitzel with a fried egg on top, which was then called farmer's schnitzel. It was pounded very thin. There was no side salad for €18.00. Everything will be more expensive, but €13.00 would have been justified. Finally, I can say that I won't eat there a second time.

Hello, yesterday we were passing through Bad Staffelstein and we wanted to check out the Saltz Stube restaurant. All I can say is delicious food and friendly service. A place worth recommending. The cook clearly knows his job and does it with passion, you can feel it in the taste of the dishes served. Awesome, if we're nearby we'll definitely come back for a delicious meal. I went here for dinner with my girlfriend on a Thursday evening. My girlfriend had a Black Forest Schnitzel and I had the Schäufele. The schnitzel tasted really good, but the Schäufele unfortunately lacked a bit of "spice" - I found it a bit bland. It was actually my first time here even though I'm from the area. Had the pierogies which tasted super delicious. My girlfriend had the Jägerbraten and it was also very tasty. We liked the atmosphere and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The price is a bit steep, but unfortunately this trend is spreading across the whole country. Nevertheless, I found the price-performance ratio to be appropriate. Top quality and very plentiful. Unfortunately, during the final schnapps, the waiter slipped the bottle and it was a real bedtime treat. Of course it was acknowledged with a decent tip 🙂✌🏻. Since we live right around the corner we will definitely come back. Thank you and see you soon.

Obwohl alles leer war und blieb, bis auf ein Ehepaar, konnte man sich nicht einen Platz aussuchen. Essenszubereitung eher befriedigend bis normal, Preise aber sehr hoch. Kurz, eine Halbierung der Preise wäre hier angemessen und der fränkischen Umgebung angepasst. Für uns wars das, das Umfeld ist wesentlich attraktiver.
