The food was delicious, but we had to wait a very long time. Overall, I was still satisfied. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. I would still come back, hoping the service would be faster.

We happened upon it by chance during the award ceremony for the Monte Menden Rally, so it was quite busy outside. Nevertheless, the service was friendly, and the drinks and food arrived quickly and were delicious. Highly recommended; we'll be back! 👍

A very run-down restaurant. The ambiance didn't impress us. The service is good. The food, unfortunately, isn't. It has nothing to do with Mexican.

Unfortunately, the salsa has declined dramatically over the years. They're only benefiting from their good reputation and their prime location in downtown Menden. The food leaves a lot to be desired. Wedges taste like they've been fried multiple times, and some were green in places and inedible. Sauces in small bowls seem to have been sitting in the kitchen for days. Unfortunately, they've never been able to mix Aperol. It's good enough for a cold beer in the sun and in a great downtown location, but unfortunately, nothing more.

Friendly staff, prices are perfectly reasonable, and the food was delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, we were disappointed... not a pleasant environment, very noisy, narrow aisles, small tables, hardly any conversation possible. The appetizer was quite okay, although the culinary "aha" moments were definitely missing here. Our main courses were either cold or bland, and the sauce on the baked dish was really cold. The tortillas were soggy and definitely not up to the usual standards. The dishes were chipped with broken corners... It's a shame, but we won't be coming back anytime soon.

I was at the Menden Summer Salsa outside. They only had tokens, which was actually fine, but suddenly both outdoor beer stands closed. Then I wanted to get beer inside with my tokens, and they just said there's no beer for tokens here. That's outrageous. Selling tokens but not giving out drinks for them. Never again 🤮🤮🤬🤬

A disaster at special events in the city. Despite reservations, there was hardly anything left in the kitchen. The normal menu was swapped for a mini version and even that was only half of it. Apparently there were no more burgers...after we ordered and received the dishes, burgers were delivered to the neighboring tables. Something was missing from my dish, but the price was NOT reduced. There is another way. If something isn't there, you can't bill for it. The side dish also costs a little extra on the menu. The starter plate was also rather mediocre, the large version only has more wedges than the normal version. Unfortunately, completely wrong people. The taste was okay, so I can't fault it.

Actually it was quite okay. The Aperol was definitely not 0.2 as it was served in a small white wine glass. When asked, this was of course denied. Then we asked whether we could get the percentage for employees without the obo card, as we unfortunately didn't have it with us. But we had all the information that was on the card plus our ID card. This was also denied, which was incomprehensible to us as there is nothing more on the map. Already a bit poor.

There were four of us at Salsa and we all really enjoyed it. The prices for the drinks are normal, I found the food to be good value for money. We were very happy with everything.

We waited forever for food. Then first the wrong food came, later the right one with the wrong dip. All of this without explanation or apology. Two drinks that we ordered never arrived. We wouldn't even be asked for drinks.

Aufgrund der zahlreichen guten Bewertungen und“ Mexikofans“ hatten wir uns entschlossen, das Salsa am 16.03.25 zu besuchen. Es fing an, dass, meine Frau einen Margarita bestellte, der ohne den üblich Salzrand am Glas serviert wurde. Auf Rückfrage hierzu bekamen wir als Antwort: “Ich habe heute zum ersten Mal einen Margarita gemacht und der Salzrand stand nicht in unserem Rezeptbuch!“ Als Starter hatten wir eine Chili-Käse Suppe und Nachos de la Casa bestellt. Die Chili-Käse Suppe sah aus/schmeckte wie geschmolzener Cheddar mit Wasser verdünnt, von Chili keine Spur. Die Nachos de la Casa waren ok, der dazu bestellte Chili-Jam-Dip für 2 € hatte nie Chili gesehen, schmeckte einfach nur süß, nix scharfes. Als Hauptgericht hatten wir Fajita con Pollo und Burrito con Pollo bestellt, beides absolut ohne jeglichen Geschmack. Als wir nach etwas Scharfem, einer Salsa picante fragten, konnte man lediglich Tabasco anbieten. Wir hatten max. die hälfte aller Gerichte gegessen, der Rest ging zurück, da völlig geschmacklos. Hier kennt der Koch leider keine Gewürze wie Chili und Kräuter wie Koriander, welche halt nun mal zur mexikanischen Küche gehören. Schlechtester Mexikaner ever, das Mineralwasser war aber gut. Wenn man es nicht kann, sollte man es lassen!

Yesterday evening we visited Salsa for the first time. CERTAINLY not for the last time! Because here, everything is right... The service is quick, but unobtrusive and friendly. The cocktails (split and caipirinha) were simply fantastic. The food, whether Mexican or Spanish (we had 6 different dishes) was consistently great. And all of this was available at a very fair price! Also worth highlighting are the fruity, fresh Guacamole a la casa, the tasty, hearty Cole Slaw and the pulled pork, which plays in a league of its own. The portions were also significantly more than sufficient. We are really looking forward to our next visit to Menden!

I ordered salmon but the portion was quite small. There was also a large piece of plastic in the tiny bowl of lettuce that I almost swallowed. Because no one from the service came after dinner in the almost empty restaurant, I brought my plate to the counter myself. I also presented the plastic part here, there was no comment, let alone an apology. For the price of over 19 euros I expect a lot more - eat here again? NO THANKS!

Cozy restaurant on two floors, entrance is at ground level so also suitable for wheelchair users. The menu is huge, there's something for every taste and everything I've eaten so far has been made with a lot of love and beautifully seasoned. On this visit we had the enchiladas and chimichanga with vegan filling and also nachos con queso as a starter. Nothing is left to be desired here and the staff is also very friendly and attentive. I'll definitely come back.

A Mexican restaurant in Menden City. Since we were there early in the evening on a Sunday, it wasn't too busy and the reservation we made just to be on the safe side wouldn't have been necessary. Wrap half raw 1 chips 1 cola I paid 50 euros I don't think it's a big deal if the food was ok I could still handle it but it was raw I'll just let the customs office take care of it There are no normal prizes and normal winnings. I don't recommend this store...

We were there for lunch with the family. 2 adults and 3 children. A huge compliment to “Bernd”. The man must have a memory for names, that's crazy. Was pleasantly surprised. Drinks came first and then the food. The waiting time was limited and normal. Not fast, but not slow either. The food was, as always, very tasty. You get something different here than in the surrounding snack bars/restaurants. Very pleasant. The food was enough and we had to have some packed up. The price was reasonable and we were happy to give tips. If you can recommend something special, it would be the baked ice cream. “Bake yourself an ice cream” - takes on a completely different meaning. The service was good. Not very good, but good. In the middle there was a quick question asking if everything was okay, that's enough. If there was anything to complain about, it would be the choice of words used by the employees behind the counter when they were joking around. Our children have asked us several times about various “forbidden” words. I don't want to go into it any further. Have fun, but please also keep an eye on the guests around you. The ambience reminds me of a kind of Café Extrablatt or Cafe del Sol. Not bad, but just right for the area.

Probably the last visit to Salsa Menden for me. Too bad!

You can feel the sour taste and a delicate, hardly noticeable note of alcohol, which I am satisfied with. Unfortunately, when it comes to food, I ordered grilled vegetables marinated in olive oil and herbs. I don't know if it was supposed to be like that, but the vegetables were cold and not tasty. When ordering this dish, I expected that since the vegetables were grilled, they would be hot or warm, but I had the impression that these vegetables were made 2 hours in advance and put in the fridge. Cold vegetables lose their flavor, which made me feel like I was going to vomit when I ate them. Unfortunately, the menu didn't say anything about them being cold, so here they get 2 stars less. As for the calamari with aoli ​​dop sauce, they were ok. The best of all was the aoili sauce and that's it.
