This is the best, most beautiful and most atmospheric restaurant I have ever been to – and I could keep listing positive things. It was simply breathtaking. My family and I were traveling over the weekend and we stopped here to eat. It was the best decision we could have made, and I recommend it to everyone passing by. If I could, I would give it 10 stars. The atmosphere is incredible, the place is stunning – especially in the evening when it’s all lit up – and I’m sure it’s just as beautiful during the day with the lake. The food was plentiful, not overpriced, and unbelievably delicious and authentic. I honestly can’t even put into words how much I loved it. I can only recommend it. Damn! This is definitely one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. The quantity, the quality, and even the presentation of the food are perfect! The waiters are friendly, and the time spent there by the lake was simply wonderful.

Lovely restaurant with delicious fine food and super friendly staff members. We were passing by the lake when returning from Salzburg to Switzerland and it was my mother’s birthday. It was the perfect choice to celebrate this special moment together.

No, absolutely not. The outdoor seating is nice, but the staff, especially the tattooed man with the ponytail, are arrogant and unfriendly. When the food is being carried out, they tend to quickly nibble off the plate with their fingers. The prices are outrageous. Locals don't go there, and that says it all! Master J.H.P.

Hello Sallersbadehaus team, we recently visited you twice. The second time, we were invited to a beautiful wedding. The photographer described everything truthfully in her review. It's absolutely true. But the exterior condition of the property, including the supposed main entrance, can't be what you're looking for. Brown, dead thuja, some of it fallen over, weeds everywhere, etc. The view of the lake is beautiful, but the area around your restaurant looks terrible. We hope this review helps you a little.

This summer, I had the pleasure of photographing a dream wedding at Sallers Badehaus on Lake Chiemsee – fittingly fitting the theme of "clean chic." The unique location directly on the water makes the venue truly special. The sunsets there are especially spectacular and provide the perfect backdrop for a short, intimate bridal shoot in the evening. The stylish decor and floral arrangements by ninananu, the delicious cake by Sonja (Zuckeralm), and an incredibly relaxed bride and groom perfectly rounded off the day. In the evening, crope DJed, creating a fantastic atmosphere and a packed dance floor. A thoroughly successful celebration in an extraordinary location – highly recommended!

Excellent food with a lake view

I was last here in May 2013 and again three weeks ago. Nothing has changed...great food, very friendly staff, and a pleasant atmosphere...I'd love to come back.

Four of us, including two children, came spontaneously without a reservation and were seated right away. The food was excellent: my roast beef with onions was delicious, the cheese spaetzle was creamy and flavorful, and the burger was a real highlight – super juicy and flavorful. Service was friendly, the restrooms were very clean, and the atmosphere was cozy. The value for money was absolutely spot on, and the portions were just right. Highly recommended!

A sure bet: View, food, service. Beautiful sunsets. Always. And when you have Attila in service or on the phone, it's even more perfect.

It was a great restaurant with a lake view and good parking. The roast pork was of poor quality (gritty/stringy). The chicken in the chicken salad was also gritty and marbled. For the high price, you should expect more. The large bottle of sparkling water was bottled. I always prefer branded, original bottled water.

Right on the beautiful Chiemsee. The food was excellent. For the price, we would have expected a bit more on the plate. The service was very friendly and attentive. What we found particularly negative, however, was the gentleman at the front desk. As we entered the restaurant, he yelled at us because we apparently used the "wrong entrance" (the main entrance). So, when we left, we wanted to exit via the terrace. The same gentleman yelled at us again, telling us to use the main entrance, as is proper. So, WHAT NOW!!!!!! There were four of us and we spent a lot of money. But with that kind of greeting and farewell, we won't be coming back. Very rude

Super friendly staff and delicious food

We went there for coffee on a Sunday. There weren't many tables occupied, but the waiter was overwhelmed. He was more interested in chatting with his colleagues, but then he was fussy when there was no tip. We had to wait 20 minutes for our order to be taken.

I've been a frequent guest at Sallers Badehaus over the past few years and have enjoyed the friendly service, the delicious food, and the beautiful ambiance. But recently, especially today, August 25, the service has been very arrogant, and I won't be going there again.

The location is really nice, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The food was just average, nothing special. The older waiter was quite aggressive, which made us feel uncomfortable. Because of this, I wouldn’t recommend the place despite its great location.

I've never experienced such excellent and attentive service. We spontaneously visited on two afternoons as beach tourists. Different staff were on site on both days, and both provided excellent service and were attentive without being intrusive, despite our casual, beachy outfits. This will be our first stop on our next stay here.

Kicked out of the bar for missing shoes!

During my rehab stay next door, I cheated on my partner several times for dinner, including twice visiting the bathhouse. Sitting outside on a beautiful summer evening, almost directly on the lake, is naturally a hit from the start. The service was professional, very friendly, and attentive both times. Many thanks to Attila and Edina. I had the roasted Chiemsee whitefish and the ox-fed burger, which I would happily recommend. My companions were also very satisfied with their choices—and the appetizers and desserts. The recommended bottle of Sauvignon Blanc from the Gaul winery pairs perfectly with various dishes. The bathhouse is certainly not a budget-friendly place, but the quality and overall experience are worth the price.

It feels like you're only paying for the location. The service is okay, but the food is completely overpriced. Edit: At €22 for a salad with four pieces of chicken, there's definitely something wrong with the value for money.

While we were waiting for our rental bikes, we spontaneously stopped here for lunch. The restaurant is very nice and the staff is super friendly. An open kitchen invites you to watch the cooking. The kids had spaetzle with sauce, which was delicious. The main course was goat cheese and cheese spaetzle. Everything was also very tasty, but the cheese spaetzle tasted more like cream and less like cheese. The prices are also quite high due to the location.

We celebrated our wedding with around 50 guests at Saller's Badehaus – and it was simply perfect! The location directly on the lake is truly unbeatable and provided a dreamlike backdrop. We were thrilled from the very first visit: The ambiance is stylish yet relaxed, and you immediately feel the special atmosphere of this place. The food was excellent – from the rehearsal dinner to the wedding menu, our wishes were perfectly implemented. A huge thank you to Anke and the entire team, who guided us through the entire planning process and on the wedding evening with heart, professionalism, and friendliness. We felt in good hands from the very first moment. Thanks also to owner Christian Saller, who runs the Badehaus with palpable dedication – you can see it in every detail. After viewing over 20 locations, we knew: This is the right place. And we couldn't have made a better decision. Thanks to Saller's Badehaus, we were able to celebrate our most beautiful day with family and friends in a dreamlike setting – just as we had always dreamed of. We decided at short notice on the way home from our vacation to eat at Sallers Badehaus, and we were not disappointed. The food, the view of the lake, and the chef were excellent. The star deducted for the other waiters (food was forgotten, mixed up, and mislabeled). Nevertheless, we'll definitely be back.

The best things are the ones you do on short notice! A last-minute decision, no waiting time, great weather, a magnificent view of the lake with a fantastic, authentic fish restaurant in the summer! If we come by again, it'll be fantastic given the motorway and accessibility...

We only had one drink here, but it was great. The view was equally amazing, and the staff was attentive. We'll come back again and try the food.

Very mixed feelings. On the one hand, the food and drinks were really good. Some of the waiters were also super friendly – ​​kudos to them! On the other hand, the waiter with the tattoos on his arms was unfortunately extremely unfriendly. We wanted to order something, he came to our table, said in a really snippy tone that he wasn't our waiter – and just left again. No "I'll tell my colleague" or anything else. Just pure disinterest. This was particularly annoying because another waiter reacted super friendly in exactly the same situation – he apologized, explained why he wasn't in charge, and immediately informed his colleague. That's okay, too. I have no idea if the waiter with the tattoos just doesn't enjoy his job or if we weren't welcome there – but behavior like that really ruins your day.

We had an unforgettable evening at Saller's Badehaus. The restaurant has a prime location, right on the lake. The service left nothing to be desired. The food was a solid 10/10. We can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant.

What can I say? Shown to my table by the receptionist, beautiful view, BUT: 10 minutes of being ignored by waiters milling around and the receptionist. When I approached her or called out "hello" loudly, she realized we weren't served and called the waiter in charge. When we told him, with a bit of a smirk, that we were actually about to leave, he replied, quite annoyed: literally! "There are other restaurants, you're not the only guests here." Well, sorry, with prices starting at €30 and up, I want a waiter who's happy to welcome guests and doesn't tell me I'm annoying him 🙈. By the way, the restaurant wasn't packed. We immediately got up and walked to the next fish restaurant 350 meters away. And lo and behold, we were served immediately and provided with cold drinks after 5 minutes. It was about as full as the other one. Who can still afford something like that today, without me 💁🏼‍♀️

A truly wonderful restaurant on nice days. The view of the lake is breathtaking. Combined with the very attentive and friendly staff and delicious food, it was like relaxing. Definitely worth a visit.

Very poor service. We were shown to our seats. The lady didn't think it necessary to give us the menu straight away. After 15 minutes and several waiters walking past us, we politely asked for the menu. "Oh, did they forget it?" was the reply: "Your waiter is over there." When the waiter finally came and we said we were almost ready to leave, he gave a rude reply: "We're not the only ones, there are other restaurants." The restaurant really wasn't full. We got up and will now take our money somewhere else. What a shame. The atmosphere was nice, but we can't say anything about the food.

It’s such a lovely restaurant! We went there with my husband to celebrate his birthday and everything exceeded our expectations. The place itself is really pretty, great for casual dinner but also for a special occasion. The view at the lake is obviously a great bonus. :) the staff is super friendly and helpful, especially the waiter who was serving us - such a great and friendly guy! As for food - soooo delicious. We tried 2 dishes - Schweinebraten and some truffle pasta with mushroom and beef. Both dishes were very tasty and the portions were huge, especially in comparison to prices. All in all I highly recommend stopping by :)

The restaurant offers a nice ambiance and a pleasant atmosphere. The fries could have used a little less salt—perhaps a little saliva from the nearby salt mine. The burger patty was also too soft and unconvincing for me personally. With a little fine-tuning in the kitchen, the experience could be significantly improved. Currently, the value for money isn't right for me, so I wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

Das Ambiente in dem Glashaus ist absolut fantastisch. Der Empfang war freundlich, das Essen sehr gut. Der Service war nicht immer ganz sattelfest, und der als Aperitif bestellte Champagner war zu warm und nicht frisch. Nach unserer Reklamation wurde das aber behoben. Sonst gibt es aber nichts zu meckern, und einem erneuten Besuch steht nichts im Wege.

The service, the cuisine, the cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff are top notch and as the textbook suggests. The response to the reservation request was prompt. We originally made a reservation in the winter garden. The weather was so good that we wanted to sit outside on the day of the visit. Upon arrival we revealed our wish. The extremely friendly owner apparently suspected our wish and assigned us a beautifully set table with a fantastic view of Lake Chiemsee. The service shone with professional competence, friendliness and courteousness. Despite a high number of guests, the food came very quickly and of outstanding quality. I am a master chef myself and an examiner for the final exam for chefs. For me, as an expert, it's hard to do better. And because it was so excellent, we made a reservation for Mother's Day next year. And we're really looking forward to it. I would give ten out of five stars.

Today we had dinner at the Sallers Badehaus and sat outside when the weather was nice. Even though we didn't make a reservation, we got a table. We wanted something small and light to eat and ordered César salad and Thai curry. Both dishes were delicious, fresh and beautifully served. The condition was nice and accommodating. We can fully recommend Sallers Badehaus!

We were guests here for an aperitif and were served very well by Zsolti! He brings life here and knows his guests very well! I really like his open and direct nature and we look forward to next year.

Our day in Saller's bathhouse will remain unforgettable. A family celebration couldn't be more beautiful. The location on the Chiemsee beach is like something out of a Bavarian picture book. Price-performance ratio is absolutely fine in this location. The children could play on the beach. Die Atmosphäre war ebenso besonders wie das Ambiente, das modernes Design mit gemütlicher Eleganz verbindet und abgerundet mit dem wunderbaren Blick auf den Chiemsee. Doch das wahre Highlight war die Küche: Jeder Gang war ein kleines Kunstwerk, geschmacklich ebenso wie optisch. Die Zutaten frisch, die Zubereitung kreativ und raffiniert – man schmeckt die Leidenschaft des Küchenteams in jedem Bissen. Auch der Service war hervorragend: aufmerksam, freundlich und dennoch unaufdringlich. Ein Ort, an den wir mit Sicherheit zurückkehren werden. Absolute Empfehlung!

Bei bestem Wetter, mit bestem Blick auf den See konnten wir den Aufenthalt genießen. Nach einem freundlichen Empfang wurde wir zum Tisch geführt und wir wurden nach unserem Getränkewunsch gefragt. Später gaben wir dann unsere Speisenwünsche auf. Der Gästeverzauberer war sehr nett. Unsere Speisen, Bruschetta, Ochsenfetzburger und Zwiebelrostbraten…. Und DreierleiSorbet haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Tolle Lokation, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Totally rude waiter who served us arrogantly

The welcome was warm, and the service was extremely professional, attentive, and yet pleasantly unobtrusive. You immediately feel welcome and well looked after. The drinks selection is also excellent, with fine wines and creative cocktails that round off the evening in style.

We got married on April 12th in the Sallers Badehaus in wonderful weather - and it was simply perfect! The location is beautifully located directly on the lake, with an incredibly atmospheric light in the evening - simply magical. Anke and Christian were always there for us during our planning, patiently answered all of our (sometimes very detailed) questions and made us feel like we were in good hands. Our wishes weren't a problem either. The final coordination with our decorator and the other service providers went smoothly. The food and drinks were also great from the champagne reception to the midnight snack! Everything was very high quality. We would choose the Sallers Badehaus again at any time - an absolute recommendation for anyone looking for a special, professional and lovingly managed wedding location!

Disgraceful Staff : Totally unacceptable! I usually don't write any negative reviews, but our experience at Sallers Badehaus was truly unacceptable and needs to be addressed. We were shocked by the unprofessional and disrespectful behavior of one of the waiters during our visit on 13.04.2025 Every time we visit Bernau am Chiemsee, this was our go to spot a place we trusted for good food and a pleasant atmosphere. That’s why, this time, we brought along our family friends, hoping to give them the same great experience we’ve always had. Instead, we were left completely humiliated by a waiter. From the moment we were seated, one particular waiter treated us with shocking rudeness and hostility. He was visibly irritated, spoke to us with complete disrespect, and made us feel like we were not at all welcome. Things escalated to the point where unbelievably he told us to leave. Imagine his arrogance!! We were stunned. Never in our lives have we been spoken to that way by a staff member in any restaurant. To the management: if this is the level of service you now consider acceptable, it’s a serious downfall from what you once were. We left with no intention of ever returning.

Herausragend ist natürlich die tolle Lage und der traumhafte Blick auf den See. Das man dafür ein paar Euro mehr bezahlt ist nachvollziehbar. Tipp: Bei geplantem Besuch auf jeden Fall im Wintergarten reservieren.

Absolutely not recommended. We wanted to sit in the garden and took a seat on a lounge. We weren't even seated and were spoken to directly by the waiter, so that the whole beer garden could hear it. The wording was: I don't even have it open and then they ash on the floor, great, great There's no ashtray here." Normally you first say hello and politely point out that you're apparently not allowed to sit there. Simply impossible!

Very pretty restaurant, on the edge of the lake with a very beautiful winter terrace. Decent meal but could do better in terms of value for money. Wiener schnizle for 30€ for example (and which was nothing exceptional either in quality or quantity). €70 for 2 people with just 2 dishes, 2 beers and sparkling water. Impeccable service and friendly staff.
