First of all: the food is very tasty, although quite expensive. The service is very, very arrogant, leaving you standing at the entrance for 20 minutes (without being spoken to) and also overlooks you as a guest. There are other restaurants.

Very nice restaurant, very nicely located and great food. Everything fits here, nice service, really good fish at reasonable prices. We were on the terrace and had a view of the lake! I would recommend making a reservation, at least for the moment (summer holidays here) because everything was full, unfortunately the two ladies in front of us didn't make a reservation and didn't get a table.

If you want to enjoy fine food from our waters, this is definitely the right place for you. Attentive service accompanies the beautifully prepared dishes, which are truly a culinary delight... The herring fillet from the whitefish was hard to beat in terms of delicacy and the main course was fried char fillets... wonderful !

My daughter and I spent a few days at Lake Chiemsee. Finally, we wanted to treat ourselves to the Minholz Fishery restaurant. We have known the restaurant for years and actually enjoy coming here again and again. As soon as we were greeted, the lady in service examined us closely from top to bottom. I have no idea why we didn't fit the lady's image. We got a table by the open fireplace. The problem was that you couldn't lean on it and it wasn't really comfortable to sit on. We asked if we could move to another table. Unfortunately that wasn't possible. Other guests would have made reservations. We had that too. We were kindly given a cushion to lean on. That made the whole thing a little more convenient. We ordered. That wasn't so easy either. My daughter wanted to cancel a salad. It was just too much for her. We didn't want to pay less. We just didn't want the salad to have to be thrown away. After some discussion, this was finally possible. However, we still ask ourselves today why we, as the only guests, were not given double sets of cutlery. The service staff both had a pretty bad day. I ordered a glass of wine for the main course. I got this when I was almost finished. We also noticed how things weren't going well at other tables. I have no idea if any of the other guests will be honest enough to say something... The food was really delicious. That alone makes it possible for us to come back. The tip was also intended for the kitchen staff and was rather meager due to the service. My daughter and I have both worked in service and therefore know how things can actually work better.

Cozy location in the winter garden and very fine, good quality food. I had the dish of the day, which tasted great (whitefish with mushroom risotto). My parents were also very happy with their choice of fish, especially the baked brook trout. Attentive, friendly service. Not fake, but honest. Priced as usual in the area. It's nice that there's always hot food!

Dinner a few days ago with my partner in the Minholz restaurant after prior reservation. We decided on 2 rump steaks medium fried, trusting in good quality and quantity. Unfortunately, the rump steaks were not served medium rare but almost raw and were hardly visible on the plate due to their size. After a complaint, the eaten steaks were fried again and served again, after which they were still cold and raw on the inside. This process was repeated after another complaint. The steaks were also tough as leather. The service lady's entire handling of the complaint was completely wrong and just embarrassing. Not even an apology. Despite my partner's final refusal, the steaks were charged at full price. We have never experienced anything like this. The performance should be good for over 100 euros. The toilet situation is terribly bad. 1 toilet for women and one for men, although the urinal is in the cabin and is therefore not accessible when the cabin is occupied. A mini hand basin for men and women together in a very small space. This is not possible with over 100 guests. We have never been so disappointed by a visit to a restaurant, well, we were tourists too.. Things can certainly go wrong, but then the restaurant should be responsible for it and not arrogantly accuse the guests that the complaint was made out of thin air. We also found the fake and provocative friendliness of the mature, female waitress more than inappropriate and cheeky. In the "Badehaus" restaurant just a few meters away with a beautiful view of Lake Chiemsee, to our delight, we experienced exactly the opposite in every respect!

The ambience in this restaurant is fantastic. It is elegantly and minimalistically furnished and yet incredibly comfortable. The food was perfect! We had marinated salmon as a starter and char as a main course. The quality was excellent and everything was seasoned perfectly. Absolute recommendation

Traditional Bavarian food in a beautiful, rustic beer garden with ancient, shady chestnut trees, hearty snacks - you have to be able to get involved in this. Vegans (I'm not one) get ALMOST nothing here. Fast, very friendly service, no one seemed stressed. Where do they get the people from when there are complaints about a lack of skilled workers everywhere? I would happily sit here for half the summer if I were from Landshut. I still have to try out winter indoors :-)

A great fish 🐟 restaurant near Lake Chiemsee. We found it by chance and were thrilled 👏 We got a nice place without a reservation. There is a small and clear menu with, among other things, regional fish 🐟, a wine list and a daily menu. The food came very quickly and was really delicious 😋. Price/performance is completely ok. The service is nice and quick 🏃‍♀️😃 Conclusion: highly recommended 💪

I used to enjoy eating here before. The food was always good, especially the char. Since dogs are no longer allowed here, we no longer eat here. Luckily there are very good dog-friendly alternatives in the direction of Prien.

Eight of us had a casual dinner there (including two kids). All was good as was the service. They have a kids menu (not extensive choices but the fish and chips went down fast). Would have no qualms about eating there again.

Without a reservation there can be waiting times of up to 20 minutes. A tip: Arrive first and then buy the parking ticket as the parking fees are quite high. The taste of the food was okay, but the portions were more nicely prepared than sufficient. I wouldn't come here again.

By far the best fish restaurant in the area. All dishes are healthy and extremely well prepared. Only fresh ingredients are used. I asked the owner about the secret to success. She replied, “hire the good chef who cooks with love.”

Like every year, we come to the Minholz before our concert. Very good restaurant, freshly caught fish is excellently prepared. Nice ambience and very attentive service.

I went on a bike tour around Lake Chiemsee with my father. Shortly before we finished, we wanted to go for something to eat at the Fischer Minholz restaurant. We parked our mountain bikes at the restaurant's bike rack and walked up to the service table to be seated. At first we were completely ignored by the service staff for a full five minutes despite speaking to us. After a subsequent and uninterested “moment” from one of the waiters, we were left standing for another ten minutes and again completely unfriendly. An absolute disgrace. I guess we should have worn polo shirts and chinos and not functional clothing. People who don't smell like money from far away are likely to be turned away there. Unfortunately, even trained officers sometimes like to wear functional clothing casually. In this regard, I will spread the word in the officer corps of the Mountain Infantry Brigade that you should not eat in the Fischer Minholz restaurant. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the quality of the food. Kind regards

Nettes Lokal mit schönem Gastgarten in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Chiemsee. Essen sehr gut, toll angerichtet und auch Getränke innovativ und gschmackig. Auf dem Niveau ist es naturgemäß etwas teurer. Erfreulicherweise genügend und freundliche Mitarbeiter - heute leider nicht mehr selbstverständlich

Our second visit to Minholz. The first visit was 5 stars, unfortunately not this time. Upon arrival we were questioned as to why we didn't want to sit outside. Then when we ordered we were emphatically “asked” that we not only order the starter but also the main course at the same time. We waited 15 minutes for the bill. Hence the deduction in service. The food was very good but too expensive. Ambience great.

Very nice service, unfortunately the price-performance ratio has decreased significantly, food is served carelessly compared to before and is significantly smaller. As locals, we will consider coming again in the future - what a shame!👎

The restaurant is very nice, clean and well maintained, great view. The map is not too big. Everyone will find something, whether meat, fish or vegan. My lactose intolerance wasn't a problem. The portion size is good. The service was friendly and accommodating, very polite. We give it four out of five stars because it's a high priced eatery and you have to pay for parking

Coffee and cake after swimming. We came with no great expectations and wow! what a surprise - the cheesecake with raspberries and the apple fritters were heavenly! As a foody with demands, I was thrilled :) The menu offers all sorts of delicacies for every taste. So - big recommendation.

Discovered by chance on a bike tour around the lake. Here the service is served with hand and heart. A pleasure to eat freshly caught fish. The location is great. Service super friendly and accommodating. I thought the food was very nicely prepared but the taste wasn't really my thing. What I found very unpleasant was that you have to pay a parking fee in the parking lot, which also belongs to the Minholz fishery, even though you are there to eat.

We had trout with chanterelle risotto and it was very good. The consistency of the risotto could have been a bit creamier but really wasn't a problem, just a point to note. The service was very friendly.

We tested the restaurant based on a recommendation and right away, it didn't stop there. If you want to eat fish on Lake Chiemsee, then you should go to Minholz. I absolutely think that the price/performance ratio here is absolutely right. Yes, the dishes cost a little more - if you compare it to others in the area - but the quality here is good. Here too, a reservation is always recommended. Service is very friendly, well organized and on point. During our stays we always stuck to the fish dishes as the main course and we can recommend every dish. We can also highly recommend the tartare and goat cheese as starters. When we are back at Chiemsee, the Minholz restaurant will definitely be visited again. Thank you

Arriving there at random, I was pleasantly surprised by the tasteful atmosphere and the warm, brisk service. Chiemseerenke was very tasty. Decent wine list, the recommended Pinot Gris went well with it. Great view of the lake! Clear recommendation.

Das Restaurant ist für nicht ortskundige schwer zu finden. Das es in einem sogenannten Park liegt, ist gut, aber dass dort 24 Stunden Parkgebühren erhoben werden, sollte der Eigentümer der Parkflächen änder, Essen gut, hohe Qualität. Allerdings sollte man nicht den Eindruck erwecken, dass die Gäste schnell fertig werden, damit die Tische erneut belegt werden können. Wenn man das will, sollte man den Gästen sagen, dass man nur eine Stunde bleiben darf.

It's been a long time since I've eaten something so delicious. Fish perfectly prepared, sauces wonderfully seasoned, salad more original than usual, well dressed. I congratulate myself on my spontaneous decision to dine here. However, I was lucky to get a table without a reservation. Thank you for the lovely culinary experience.

We ate very tasty fish and a salad, everything was beautifully prepared and really tasty. There is a nice selection of wines, the waitresses are very friendly, and the atmosphere invites you to linger.

After a bike tour around Lake Chiemsee, hunger brought us to this restaurant. We were very impressed by the staff, especially the lady in service today. So much friendliness, and love of the job, always a saying on the lips.... Thank you very much for that Ms. (Unknown) The food was exceptional Müllerin style.... We have rarely eaten such delicious fish. Prepared with love and in a very surprising time... Hats off. Prices moderately upscale but not excessive. Thank you

Sehr leckere Fischgerichte, absolut zu empfehlen! Auch tolle Desserts und Vorspeisen. Für Vegetarier und Fleischesser gibt es auch Auswahl. Nachmittags gibt’s eine kleine Karte und tolle hausgemachte Kuchen. Wenn viel los ist sollte man reservieren und auch etwas Geduld mitbringen. Aber das lohnt sich! Preise sind absolut im Rahmen.

Tolle Lage mit schönem Blick auf den Chiemsee. Sehr gemütlich drinnen und draußen. Lediglich die grauen Plastik Bänke hinten im Restaurant könnten erneuert werden. Die sehen ungepflegt aus. Passt nicht zum Rest des tollen Restaurants. Essen top, Service schnell und aufmerksam. Wir kommen wieder!
