By far the best fish restaurant in the area. All dishes are healthy and extremely well prepared. Only fresh ingredients are used. I asked the owner about the secret of success. She replied, “hire the good chef who cooks with love.”

We had a lovely evening and the food was very tasty and of great quality. We had two types of yellow tuna and grilled goat cheese for starters, as well as Chiemseerenke and sea bass on saffron risotto for the main course. The service was very friendly. We'll be back!

We happened to be on Lake Chiemsee and noticed the restaurant while taking a walk and were able to get a table for the same evening. The service, the ambience and especially the food were very good. I can only recommend the restaurant and if you like, you can also take some (smoked) fish with you to take home.

Beautiful lakeside restaurant with delicious food and warm decor

We spontaneously went without a reservation and with a dog - we still got a table, although in the passage, but that didn't detract from the evening. The pumpkin soup and bouillabaisse as starters were really tasty, as was the salad with pumpkin. For me it was surf and turf, perfectly prepared meat, unfortunately the shrimp was a bit cold, but overall really great cooking! The beverage accompaniment: a cold beer and later a Grüner Veltliner - the price of 5.10 for an eighth surprised us a bit, but it went perfectly with both courses. At the end there was a fruit schnapps and apricot. Service was prompt and friendly, although we felt our casual clothing style of jeans and t-shirt didn't quite fit the bill. All in all: a great evening that we will definitely repeat!

Very nice, down-to-earth atmosphere with delicious food, a good wine list and attentive service. As a small group, we had made a reservation for Saturday evening. Although the table assigned to us had enough chairs for each of us, it was a bit cramped at the front of the table when eating. The homemade aperitifs were interestingly mixed together - something different than a classic Aperol. The “Fischerspritz” was particularly tasty. The starter “Whitefish fillets” was delicious, but the portion size was almost like a main course. The mussels in a really good broth were very well portioned. The bread that was served also offered a good variety. For the main course, we ordered the white wine “Lugana Santa Cristina” from the very extensive wine list, which goes perfectly with the fish. - Clear recommendation! The “Wiener Schnitzel”, the “Saibling Müllerin”, “Duett vom Char & Trout”, “Chiemseerenke” and the “Wild Shrimp” all tasted really good! Personally, I found the garlic-chilli mayo with the shrimp to be a bit lacking in spiciness. :) Overall, a great evening with attentive, friendly service, who independently refilled empty wine glasses and took good care of us. We'd love to come back! The prices are justified for the quality offered and the beautiful ambience.

We were there for a private party. Very nice and flexible service that also tries to fulfill special requests. Very good food but also “good” price range.

What you should know as a stranger is that the fish "from overseas" has not had a long journey. He comes from the neighboring town of Übersee ;)

A really great restaurant with a focus on fish right next to Lake Chiemsee. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny!

We had a nice visit on Saturday lunchtime. We were also able to spontaneously get a pond for 4. The waitress was super nice and kind to our children. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The portions were also absolutely sufficient.

Wir waren jetzt zum 2tem Mal hier. Diesmal extra aus München zu Omas 91, da ihr das Essen hier so gut geschmeckt hat. Uns natürlich auch. Wir hatten Glück bei herrlichen Wetter auf den See zu blicken. Unsere Bedienung war super und wir waren sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal hier. Empfehlen können wir alles von der Karte.

Great service and delicious food - we arrived there at lunchtime after our long journey and spontaneously got a table for 4 people right by the window with a view of the lake. We were served by a very nice lady; The drinks and food were served quickly. There were crayons and a coloring picture for the children. We'd love to come back :)

Wir waren schon öfter im Restsurant und such im Garten. Wir sind immer sehr zufrieden und der Fosch ist sehr lecker.

On the way back from vacation we decided to take a lunch break at the Fischer Minholz restaurant because the reviews were good. Three of us arrived first, while the remaining seven people followed a little later. Finally, when there were seven of us, we only received one menu from the waitress, even though she had two in her hand and briefly placed one on the table. When a friend tried to take the second menu, the waitress banged the table and rudely said that there weren't enough menus and she could only give out one. We explained to her in detail that this way of dealing with customers was unacceptable. The waitress took our orders quite chaotically. She skipped a few people, and when I realized I hadn't ordered anything and wanted to order, I was told that I had already ordered - which was definitely not true. It took a while before we were able to explain to the waitress that I hadn't actually ordered anything. At this point I was already disappointed and only ordered a salad. My friends ordered soup and fish. When the soup was brought I asked for my salad. The waitress's response was that salad is considered a main course and therefore will be served later. I found this particularly annoying because you don't want to wait 40 minutes for a salad when you're pregnant. When the salad finally arrived, there was great disappointment: the caramelized goat cheese looked very bad. This is one of my favorite dishes and I even learned it in a cooking class - but the chef didn't seem to have a handle on it here.

Nice restaurant in a best location, unfortunately I found the Chiemseerenke to be dry.

We treated ourselves to coffee and Aperol on the terrace. The last warm rays of sunshine and the excellent service made us happy. Thank you!

Kleineres und sehr feines Restaurant, liebevoll eingerichtet und gemütlich. Sehr liebe und fröhliche Bedienungen bzw. Angestellte. Das Essen war hervorragend. Kürbiscremesuppe (Tagesempfehlung) war extrem lecker, genau richtig vom Geschmack! Zum Hauptgang habe ich die Tagesempfehlung „Renkenfilet in Mandelkräuterkruste“ gegessen - ein absoluter Gaumenschmauss! Mein Mann hatte einen Backfisch- so muss ein Backfisch auch sein. Frischer Fisch im Teigmantel. Sogar die Haut war noch dran, man hat ganz klar das Filet erkannt. Super lecker! Normal mag er keinen Fisch- den fand er enorm lecker. Die Remoulade zu seinem Fisch war selbst gemacht - KEIN Fertigprodukt. So muss das sein. Leider haben wir keine Desserts mehr geschafft, es war zu lecker und zu viel - was wirklich positiv ist. Die Desserts der Tischnachbarn sahen sehr ansprechend aus. Einziger „Nachteil“ es ist etwas lauter da viele Personen in den vergleichbar kleinen Raum passen. Das macht es aber auch geselliger. Wir empfehlen dieses Restaurant guten Gewissens weiter und werden sicherlich nochmal hier essen - absolut lecker und qualitativ sehr gut!

A cozy german seafood restaurant by the beautiful Chiemsee lake. There are couple of vegetarian items all rest are seafood with some of the fish sourced from the nearby lake. Good place for seafood lovers and a nice break from driving. Waiting staff was very helpful to walk through the menu which was in German language only

Found them on accident! On our quick stop on our journey west. Amazing food and wonderful atmosphere, even though it was gloomy and raining outside! Had the specialty for the day. It was an amazing tasting fish, and I am particular on fish. Very relaxing lunch and was able to enjoy the lake view(with rain) as we ate. Highly recommend stopping here.

Be sure to reserve in advance! Delicious food, with fish from the region, everything freshly prepared and tasty. Fast, helpful, attentive and very friendly service. Everything fits together here and you feel really comfortable. All of this on the banks of Lake Chiemsee. What more do you want? Of course it's touristy. Yes, there are a lot of cyclists there too. So what? :-) There are plenty of paid parking spaces nearby, right next to the lido. There are also play options and a children's menu for the children. Payment possible by card.

We went to the restaurant with the whole family on a Sunday and it was pretty busy. Unfortunately, it took a long time before a waiter even came to ask us what we wanted. After we ordered, the drinks didn't arrive for about 15 minutes, which was quite a long time. The meal then took much longer to arrive and our children understandably became more and more restless. The quality of the food was more like a restaurant. We expected more. The fish was completely overcooked and tasted dry. What is positive, however, is that you can sit in the garden and there is a playground for children.

We were at the Fischer Minholz restaurant shortly after midday and enjoyed the fillets of Chiemseerenke fried in butter. The fillets were perfectly fried, juicy and incredibly tasty – a clear recommendation! The restaurant is also beautifully decorated and the staff is very friendly. The price is also super fair. We would love to come back to enjoy the fresh fish from Lake Chiemsee.

We have rarely eaten such good fish. The service and the staff were really great. Despite a huge workload, as it was always fully booked, the service was always friendly. The restaurant is absolutely recommended.

Sehr gepflegtes Restaurant in schöner Lage mit Seeblick. Schmackhafte Fischgerichte, z. B. Renke oder Bachsaibling. Auch das Wiener Schnitzel oder die Ochsenbäckchen sind zu empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Our expectations were very high after all the positive reviews. (Reservation is essential) Unfortunately, the staff was completely overwhelmed and unable to take criticism. I got my beef tartare cut so roughly that the pieces of meat formed lumps on the fork. After my friendly, quiet criticism, I had to hear from the waitress why I was upset in the first place. We received dirty glasses with the bottle of wine we ordered. (greasy fingerprints on the glasses; there was also lipstick residue on one glass) This complaint was also grumpily acknowledged with… “why do you want new glasses”. Just by the way, as can happen from time to time, another waiter unfortunately threw the juice from the main course at me. But this was done very professionally with an apology and a cleaning option. The rest of the food (fish with side dishes) was very good. My conclusion of the evening: Unfortunately not the expected highlight. p.s.: The management of the restaurant should train the staff that criticism from customers should be treated neutrally or courteously.

- Mass instead of class - We were at Fischer Minholz on Saturday evening at the beginning of September. The weather was good and the restaurant was packed. The service was curt, hectic, but not unfriendly. My wife had a salad which was OK. I had fish with risotto. My plate was cold, the fish was very dry, the risotto was overcooked and had no taste. The carelessly distributed lettuce leaves didn't make things any better either (see picture). My main course (around €25) was almost completely gone, which the waitress didn't care about. If you want to go out for a good meal in the evening after a beautiful day at the lake, we don't recommend it.

Very appealing selection of food, local products, great garden restaurant, service team seemed a bit stressed and disharmonious at times. We would have liked to order dessert, but the kitchen was already closed at 9 p.m., so a hint of this would have been helpful.

Actually the perfect place to rip off guests. Great location, lots of tourists, right on the lake... But the opposite is the case. Super tasty dishes, well presented, at a reasonable price. Exciting wine selection and skilful, friendly service. The MINHOLZ fishery is highly recommended.

Wir saßen im Aussenbereich mit Blick durch einen Park auf den Chiemsee. Unsere Vorspeise, Baby Calamari, mit Salat und Baguette war sehr gut. Als Hauptgang jeder dreierlei Fisch auf Salat hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Meine Gattin hat der gegrillte Fisch nicht so gut geschmeckt.

First of all: the food is very tasty, although quite expensive. The service is very, very arrogant, leaving you standing at the entrance for 20 minutes (without being spoken to) and also overlooks you as a guest. There are other restaurants.

Very nice restaurant, very nicely located and great food. Everything fits here, nice service, really good fish at reasonable prices. We were on the terrace and had a view of the lake! I would recommend making a reservation, at least for the moment (summer holidays here) because everything was full, unfortunately the two ladies in front of us didn't make a reservation and didn't get a table.

If you want to enjoy fine food from our waters, this is definitely the right place for you. Attentive service accompanies the beautifully prepared dishes, which are truly a culinary delight... The herring fillet from the whitefish was hard to beat in terms of delicacy and the main course was fried char fillets... wonderful !

My daughter and I spent a few days at Lake Chiemsee. Finally, we wanted to treat ourselves to the Minholz Fishery restaurant. We have known the restaurant for years and actually enjoy coming here again and again. As soon as we were greeted, the lady in service examined us closely from top to bottom. I have no idea why we didn't fit the lady's image. We got a table by the open fireplace. The problem was that you couldn't lean on it and it wasn't really comfortable to sit on. We asked if we could move to another table. Unfortunately that wasn't possible. Other guests would have made reservations. We had that too. We were kindly given a cushion to lean on. That made the whole thing a little more convenient. We ordered. That wasn't so easy either. My daughter wanted to cancel a salad. It was just too much for her. We didn't want to pay less. We just didn't want the salad to have to be thrown away. After some discussion, this was finally possible. However, we still ask ourselves today why we, as the only guests, were not given double sets of cutlery. The service staff both had a pretty bad day. I ordered a glass of wine for the main course. I got this when I was almost finished. We also noticed how things weren't going well at other tables. I have no idea if any of the other guests will be honest enough to say something... The food was really delicious. That alone makes it possible for us to come back. The tip was also intended for the kitchen staff and was rather meager due to the service. My daughter and I have both worked in service and therefore know how things can actually work better.

Cozy location in the winter garden and very fine, good quality food. I had the dish of the day, which tasted great (whitefish with mushroom risotto). My parents were also very happy with their choice of fish, especially the baked brook trout. Attentive, friendly service. Not fake, but honest. Priced as usual in the area. It's nice that there's always hot food!

Wir hatten als Einheimische den Eindruck, dass man hier aufgrund des Tourismus weniger Fokus auf das Wohlergehen der Gäste legt (bspw. Wartezeiten auf den Tisch trotz Reservierung) Auf den Hinweis eines zu durchkochten Risottos kam die Antwort des Servicepersonals, dass es mal passieren kann wenn den ganzen Tsg das Risotto im Topf ist. Das ist nicht unbedingt das was ich als Gast zur Begründung hören möchte.

Dinner a few days ago with my partner in the Minholz restaurant after prior reservation. We decided on 2 rump steaks medium fried, trusting in good quality and quantity. Unfortunately, the rump steaks were not served medium rare but almost raw and were hardly visible on the plate due to their size. After a complaint, the eaten steaks were fried again and served again, after which they were still cold and raw on the inside. This process was repeated after another complaint. The steaks were also tough as leather. The service lady's entire handling of the complaint was completely wrong and just embarrassing. Not even an apology. Despite my partner's final refusal, the steaks were charged at full price. We have never experienced anything like this. The performance should be good for over 100 euros. The toilet situation is terribly bad. 1 toilet for women and one for men, although the urinal is in the cabin and is therefore not accessible when the cabin is occupied. A mini hand basin for men and women together in a very small space. This is not possible with over 100 guests. We have never been so disappointed by a visit to a restaurant, well, we were tourists too.. Things can certainly go wrong, but then the restaurant should be responsible for it and not arrogantly accuse the guests that the complaint was made out of thin air. We also found the fake and provocative friendliness of the mature, female waitress more than inappropriate and cheeky. In the "Badehaus" restaurant just a few meters away with a beautiful view of Lake Chiemsee, to our delight, we experienced exactly the opposite in every respect!

Great restaurant, beautiful outdoor area, sensational fish, even the cappuccino afterwards was extremely tasty and the service from Petra rounded off the evening for us more than satisfied. So highly recommended!!! A big thank you to the whole team. Keep it up 👍

The ambience in this restaurant is fantastic. It is elegantly and minimalistically furnished and yet incredibly comfortable. The food was perfect! Traditional Bavarian food in a beautiful, rustic beer garden with ancient, shady chestnut trees, hearty snacks - you have to be able to get involved in this. Vegans (I'm not one) get ALMOST nothing here. Fast, very friendly service, no one seemed stressed. Where do they get the people from when there are complaints about a lack of skilled workers everywhere? I would happily sit here for half the summer if I were from Landshut. I still have to try out winter indoors :-)

A great fish 🐟 restaurant near Lake Chiemsee. We found it by chance and were thrilled 👏 We got a nice place without a reservation. There is a small and clear menu with, among other things, regional fish 🐟, a wine list and a daily menu. The food came very quickly and was really delicious 😋. Price/performance is completely ok. The service is nice and quick 🏃‍♀️😃 Conclusion: highly recommended 💪
