After only a short wait, the friendly waitress brought us our food. Everyone enjoyed it very much! The only complaint was that the interior was very noisy.

My wife and I are very satisfied! The staff, the location, and the food were all excellent. The prices were also completely reasonable. We'd be happy to come back anytime. Best regards.

We were at Salinas on Friday around 1:30 p.m. It wasn't crowded, and the view is very nice. There were four of us, and we all enjoyed ourselves. We took a few pictures of the food. A friendly welcome; we didn't have a reservation, which wasn't necessary at that time of day. Each of us had an appetizer, followed by the main course. Actually, too much. We'll be back soon. I went there twice a while ago, the first and last time. They "lure" you in with the online menu, and when you get the menu in the restaurant, you're better off reading it while sitting down. The menu prices there are mostly 2-4 euros more expensive. The drink prices are also considerably higher, but the absolute RUDENESS/RIP-OFF is the difference for the wheat beer, for example, from five euros to a whopping 6.90 euros. I've never paid that much for a 0.5 liter wheat beer in my entire life 😡🤢How can that be? I've repeatedly pointed out to the really friendly staff the blatant price differences between the online menu and the menu on site, but to this day they've been IGNORED. It's almost bordering on...

We were there for the first time today, but certainly not the last. Before we could find a table, I had to go to the bathroom. I was immediately asked if they could help. We were then given a place with our dogs. The service was quick and friendly. The food was excellent and the selection very good. I watched the terrace and every little request was dealt with immediately. It's good... there are always people who complain, but even these were dealt with immediately and in a friendly manner. The view of the lake was fantastic. And today we had boosters. They also serve breakfast here. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back. Oh yes... the prices are also quite reasonable for this quality.

I was there for the first time two weeks ago with friends. I enjoyed it so much that I came back today, August 31, 2025, with my husband for dinner. It was nice that we caught the rest of the open-air concert with the band Booster 😃. We live in Moers and came here especially because the food is delicious, the atmosphere is lovely, and the staff are all very friendly. What could be nicer than sitting outside, looking out at the lake and enjoying delicious food? It's really good and the price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable. We'll be back. It's definitely worth the trip. 😃

I invited friends and reserved a table 10 weeks ago. We were seated near the bar. I asked if we could have a table by the window overlooking the water. The answer was: "We're already taken; it was reserved before I called." Strange, that was the first entry in the calendar. Being lied to is a no-go. You can eat well elsewhere. It's a shame you can only post after clicking on at least one star. In my opinion, even that's undeserved.

Reserved a table for 8 outside, got a table for 6. Then we had to sweat it out inside. The food was generally okay, nothing more. The food contained ingredients that weren't listed on the menu, and the skewers were bone dry. The benches outside were old and rotten, and the sparse cushions made it impossible to stay longer. Excellent service, nothing to complain about.

The ambiance with its view of the lake and the beautifully decorated interior are always worth a visit. During my visit, they were also busy preparing the gardens for summer. The food was, as always, very delicious. Unfortunately, with the dessert (chocolate duet), it's always a gamble whether a fruity accompaniment will end up on the plate. In my opinion, something like that would be a must with this dish, as the acidity of the fruit (no matter which one you choose, something is always in season) would be a perfect counterpoint to the sweetness of the chocolate. This would perfectly round off the already wonderful dessert. I had already made this suggestion to the staff in the past, and on a subsequent visit, there was actually fruit on the plate. Unfortunately, not this time (again). As I said, it seems a bit of a gamble. But that's "complaining" at a high level. Even without the fruit acidity, the dessert is very delicious, and the other dishes I've tried on my visits there so far are in no way inferior. Therefore, I will certainly be happy to visit the restaurant again in the future.

It's okay that a restaurant is unavailable due to a private party. But not posting this notice in the parking lot is mean! My almost 90-year-old friend struggles to get there, only to find out that she can't play. Not particularly thoughtful.

My first time there, I was blown away by the ambiance, the friendliness of the staff, and the friendliness of each other. The manager was even there, and you wouldn't have noticed a thing. The food was excellent, exceptional, nothing ordinary, and the cleanliness. Prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity. Unbelievable, you live around the corner and miss this wonderful spot. 5 stars with 🌟 🤩

Yesterday, I was disappointed for the first time in all these years. Both the pinchos and the chicken skewers definitely had turkey on them—not chicken. The meat wasn't particularly good and had a strange texture. The rest was, as always, very tasty. The food came quickly despite the crowds.

The wonderful view from the terrace somewhat compensated for the poor food. Since we were there with friends, we didn't complain in detail so as not to disturb the gathering. 3 x Shrimp Pan for €22 each!: A wobbly pan on a wooden plate that was almost impossible to eat from. About 5 small, completely dry shrimp, a large amount of briefly fried potatoes that covered everything else, briefly fried vegetables, some of them cold, all unseasoned and bland in taste. 1 x "large salad plate" with shrimp for €18.50: a few leaves of frisee lettuce, some of them wilted, also about 5 mini shrimp, very dry, and the "crowning glory": the same bland grilled vegetables as in the shrimp pan. What does that have to do with a salad plate? Okay, there were still two very thick slices of cucumber and a quarter of a tomato, and two untoasted slices of white bread... A friendly reminder to the young wait staff that we weren't satisfied was met with: we'd have to tell the kitchen... On the plus side, the carafe of mineral water with lemon, mint, and berries was a good start, giving us hope for a flavorful Mediterranean meal, so we were very disappointed, a shame. If you like mostly fried side dishes, this is probably the place for you.

I recently ate there. The prices were way too high for what you get. The waitress was very friendly. I had bread with olives as a starter, and it was very burnt and not tasty! The pork loins were far too dry and not the best. I also saw mice outside. I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

The ideal place for lunch in this sweltering heat! We enjoyed huge portions of pasta with shrimp and green asparagus. I've never had so many shrimp on my plate as here. Simply fantastic! Plus, the service was fast and super friendly. Absolutely recommended!

A poor menu. I ordered a beef fillet. The waiter asked me how it was. I asked for it medium. When I ate it, it was bitter and tough. I turned it over and it was burnt. He had forgotten it on the grill. 🤣 I had another one prepared. But hunger and wasted time😁... It's a shame, the location is superb, the waiters are friendly, but the cuisine leaves something to be desired.

Salinas: Unique as a restaurant. The dishes vary in quality and uniqueness. The ambiance is beautiful. We recently discovered Salinas. Mistakes, whether made by the customer or simply happen, are corrected and undone without hesitation. The food varies in quality (as mentioned above). Some dishes, such as the unique burgers and sweet potato or steakhouse fries with garlic mayonnaise, are very good (4/5). However, we didn't like the pizza (1/5). There are certainly some yet-to-be-tried gems here that are worth trying. The service is also good, as mentioned earlier. But unfortunately, this too varies. Sometimes it's a 3/5, sometimes a 5/5. At Salinas in general (whether it's the kitchen or the service), it seems to depend heavily on the staff's performance. I debated for a while whether to give Salinas 3/5 or 4/5 stars overall. I chose four because it has more points to offer—not to mention the ambiance, which is truly unique. In general, I believe the entire motto here is "uniqueness": be it the location, the menu, or the drinks list. Hats off to the consistent implementation of this motto. We enjoy coming here regularly, and I sincerely hope that the coming season will see more of a manifestation of the quality and service, and that both will be more consistent.

Salinas is beautifully located in the Volksgarten park, right by the lake. It features a large outdoor terrace and an outdoor area with comfortable seating. A chilled atmosphere and an appealing menu.

This was our first time at Salinas and we were absolutely thrilled. We had a table with a direct view of the lake. The service was excellent and incredibly friendly. The food was also very much to our liking. The best part was the dessert, "The Chocolate Duet"...melt to die for 😀

You can have a good breakfast and drink coffee there, great food selection and also a very good selection, not to forget the delicious dessert. Snacks for in between, service also super friendly staff also child friendly. There is also a day ticket for children, a great selection. Price is good too. It's very cozy there. I can only highly recommend it. When I'm in the city again, I'll go there again, to Selina's restaurant in Mönchengladbach. All the best and best regards to all of you.

Most boring meal in a restaurant I've ever had. In order to avoid animals, we ordered veggie food for the group for Christmas: two peppers with a huge pile of couscous came😥 afterwards there was dark mousse au chocolat, which could have been vegetable, but there was milk in it - so we had other hard fruit salad for dessert.

Outdoor area could be a little more inviting. Of course it's still early in the season. We would have liked to have coffee and cake. The cake looked pretty sad in its display case, it was already a few days old. We then decided against it.

I would like to explicitly share MY personal experiences here. We were at the restaurant yesterday for the first time with four people. The restaurant was packed, and the acoustics were so loud that we could barely hold a conversation. A little more decoration or room dividers might help. The service was very friendly. I ordered the pork loin and asked if it came with a side salad. They said no, and I ordered a separate side salad. The food was served on a slightly larger breakfast plate. Therefore, the presentation of the dishes didn't look very appealing, and everything seemed to have been thrown together. I had three pork loins that were already overcooked on the outside and bone dry on the inside. They were accompanied by potato chunks and, lo and behold, a side salad, all on this small plate. As a result, the vinaigrette and the cream sauce crisscrossed in some places. I had to pay an additional €7.50 for the side salad I ordered separately. My friend had the pike-perch fillet with pasta and Mediterranean vegetables. The pike-perch fillet consisted of three small pieces of fish on a mountain of tasteless pasta. The Mediterranean vegetables were, quite frankly, a joke. Therefore, we will refrain from another visit in the near future.

There was a wide selection, from breakfast to various main courses, cakes, ice cream, and various snacks. The prices were reasonable. We had waffles with cherries and cream, apricot lattice cake, and steakhouse fries. Everything was delicious. The service was very friendly and quick. Even though all the tables were taken, we were served promptly and received our ordered food promptly. We'll definitely be back.

Sunday evening, a quarter to eight! We enter the restaurant and are turned away. The kitchen would have already closed. That's the biggest impudence you're allowing yourself to do. On the door it says kitchen until 9:30 p.m., open until 11 p.m.! NOT SO!!! In any case, I will seek a conversation with the managing director. If I could, I would add a few more points!!!

A beautiful little oasis in the Volksgarten in Mönchengladbach. I love it there in summer. It always reminds me of the island and is like a little short vacation.😊. There's great food and cool drinks. We always enjoy being here.

We were there on Saturday for breakfast with 6 people. We had reserved and it was well filled. I saw 2 waitresses and a counter worker. The service was great, we got our plates at the same time and kept asking if something was ordered or missing. Everything was plentiful and the leftovers were welcome to be packed up to avoid waste. Afterwards we sat together over coffee and walked through the snow-covered park, which could be seen beautifully through the terrace windows.

We love being here, be it for breakfast, dinner or just a cup of coffee. The service is great and very nice. We always like the food very well.

Unfortunately not the quality we expected. The choice of food is very limited and the taste is not appealing. Quality of the meat from the burger grilled with saddle of beef was poor. The price is clearly too high for this quality. The staff is friendly and helpful. By the way: a Salinas currywurst with steakhouse fries and a little salad - the sausage doesn't taste good at all - 12.9o euros. A dream... right?
