We were there yesterday as guests at a wedding and I was absolutely thrilled. Huge praise to the staff, I have never received such good, friendly and courteous service at a celebration. All processes went smoothly and smoothly. Glasses were never empty, dishes were always put away straight away and food was constantly and immediately refilled 👍Amazing, highly recommended.

The food was delicious! Fast and friendly service! Enough parking spaces. We also liked the atmosphere. Clean toilets :) We will recommend you.

We was with kids, and once with friends, and we are more than satisfied with Service and price. We was sitting on terrace and enjoying beautiful view. Price is correct and affordable 👌

It was our wedding anniversary and I had reserved a table outside. Puppy cake, we could only sit inside. The service was okay and then the food came... The potato rosti could only be eaten with a hammer and chisel. We were then offered to prepare a new portion to take away. It's just stupid that the potato rosti had the same consistency as the first portion. My husband is a master chef and we both know how things can and shouldn't be. Make a little effort. Then something could come of it.

Had breakfast there for the first time today, “breakfast for 2” 19.50.- without drinks. I can only say........ "MEGA delicious + GREAT" and it would easily be enough for three. From salmon, eggs to Nutella, nothing was missing!!!!!!!! Really great !!! gladly again

My wife and I went there for the first time. We had expected more from the ambience. This was not fulfilled by the retirement home and the public garden. The seating and tables in the outdoor area have also seen better days. Unfortunately, I caught a splinter straight away. Luckily the mosquitoes left us alone. One thing has to be said, the two ladies in service are really super nice and attentive. The young colleague can learn a lot from there. We had the Salinas plate as starters, the salmon fillet as main courses, and the Caesar salad. All in all, everything is quite good. The chicken with mushrooms in the sweet/spicy sauce was interesting; I had never eaten it like that before. What could be improved there would be fresh mushrooms instead of from the jar/can and you can taste the typical Asian sauce and maybe develop something there yourself. The tuna cream and sheep's cheese cream are very tasty. Salt's dressing is also very tasty, but could be a little more. The roasted bread has a rather boring taste, so you should switch to something more tasty. For the salmon fillet (large portion), a larger plate would be desirable so that there is space and the fish is not served on top of the vegetables. I would also like it if the salmon had a crispy skin side and was seasoned a little with salt/pepper and lemon zest. Otherwise the salmon, the grilled vegetables, the rosemary potatoes and the dried. Tomatoes Really delicious. The Caesar salad was a very large portion, unfortunately the chicken was not well seasoned and was rather bland but at least not dry. The salad wasn't dressed either, just dressing drizzled over it. I think it's better to mix the salad with the dressing in a bowl beforehand and then serve. The same boring toasted bread as the starter, and the tomato/cucumber slices and egg slices came unseasoned. There was also nice, coarsely grated Parmesan. All in all good but it could be improved a little.

Meine Frau und ich waren zum ersten Mal dort. Wir hatten uns vom Ambiente mehr versprochen. Durch das Altersheim und den öffentlichen Garten wurde diese nicht erfüllt. Die Sitzgarnituren und Tische im Außenbereich haben auch schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Leider habe ich mir direkt einen Splitter eingefangen. Von den Mücken wurden wir zum Glück in Ruhe gelassen. Eins muss man sagen, die beiden Damen im Service sind echt super nett auf aufmerksam. Der junge Kollege kann sich dort noch einiges abschauen. Wir hatten als Vorspeisen den Salinas Teller, als Hauptgerichte das Lachfilet, und den Caesar Salad. Alles im allem alles ganz gut. Interessant war das Hähnchenfleisch mit den Pilzen in der süß/scharfen Sauce, hatte ich so noch nie gegessen. Was man dort verbessern könnte wären frische Pilze statt aus dem Glas/Dose und man schmeckt die typisch Asia Sauce heraus dort eventuell selber etwas entwickeln. Die Thunfischcreme und Schafskäsecreme sind sehr lecker. Das Dressing vom Salt ist ebenfalls sehr lecker, könnte etwas mehr sein. Das geröstete Brot ist eher langweilig im Geschmack, dort sollte man auf ein etwas geschmackvolleres Brot wechseln. Beim Lachfilet (große Portion) würde ein größerer Teller wünschenswert, damit man Platz hat und der Fisch nicht auf dem Gemüse angerichtet wird. Ich fände es ebenfalls schön, wenn der Lachs eine knusprige Hautseite hätte und ein wenig mit Salz/Pfeffer und Zitronenabrieb gewürzt wäre. Ansonsten war der Lachs, das gegrillte Gemüse, die Rosmarinkartoffeln und das getr. Tomaten Rellisch lecker. Der Caesar Salad war eine sehr große Portion, leider war das Hähnchenfleisch nicht gut gewürzt und eher langweilig aber immer hin nicht trocken. Der Salat war auch nicht angemacht, nur Dressing darüber geträufelt, ich finde es besser den Salat vorher in eine Schüssel mit dem Dressing zu vermischen und dann zu Servieren. Dasselbe langweilige geröstete Brot wie bei der Vorspeise, und die Tomaten/Salatgurkenscheiben und Ei-Scheiben kamen ungewürzt. Des Weiteren gab es schönen grob gerieben Parmesan. Alles in allem gut aber man könnte es ein wenig verbessern.

Today for the first time in Salinas. Nice terrace. Super nice employees. The drinks and food arrived very quickly. The food was good. The pinchos could have been on the grill for a little less time. Poultry was very dry. But the beef was great. All in all a good restaurant. We'll be back ;)

We wanted to have a drink at Salinas on Saturday afternoon and also use the toilet. Closed society. No problem, but I found it very unfriendly that we were denied the toilet. The staff looked very bored.

Wow, that was great! We were here for the first time and were really excited. The restaurant is located on the edge of the Volksgarten directly on a lake. Very nice - you can also sit outside. The food was very tasty, the staff enjoys their job! You notice that, super attentive. Free parking is possible in a large parking lot nearby. We will be back!

Nice location, well attended. Attentive, friendly and fast service. Unfortunately, the prices on the website do not match the restaurant menu: almost all dishes are at least €2 more expensive (at least 15-20% 😎). Food was ok. - not overly ambitiously seasoned but decent portions.

The food was OK so far. Our waiter was very friendly and on the ball. There is still a clear need for improvement in terms of cleanliness. Cards and tables were stuck. Unfortunately it was also very loud (full restaurant), something that could be remedied.

Always my pleasure. Extremely friendly service. I had forgotten my wallet today and it wasn't entirely clear whether payment via mobile pay would work. Nevertheless, we were served food and drink and promised later payment. Certainly not a given in this day and age. Really great, human service.

The Salinas is a pearl in Mönchengladbach. We had a wonderful place outside with a wonderful view of the Weyer. The staff was very nice and accommodating and the food was great, the portions are huge. I had the halloumi citizen with steakhouse fries, aioli and barbecue sauce. Thank you very much for the lovely and delicious evening.

First of all, the service is good, very friendly and fast, the food: Greekburger, was not good at all! Bread rock hard and no taste, Pasta traditionale also only tasted like oil, we didn't eat ANYTHING of the food, only tried the pasta but we still had to pay, we got a beer and a soda WITHOUT ICE CUBES in 32 degree heat!! Very obliging!! I think it's cheeky. We definitely won't eat there again!

We had delicious fish, cooked to perfection with lots of vegetables, crunchy and fresh; a vegetable pizza where you certainly didn't have to look for the vegetables, on the contrary, they were plentiful. And everything was very well seasoned and super tasty. Then the service staff was attentive and very friendly. She immediately had a good suggestion for any decision uncertainty. We'd love to come back.

We spent our evening here. The food is simply indescribable, everything was very tasty, the taste of food and surprisingly indulgent. I don't have the words to describe our enjoyment. We will come back soon.

Had breakfast there today, the food was very, very tasty, and the service was generally good too. However, the ambience drops significantly, because even with just a few tables occupied it becomes far too loud, to the point of being tolerable... By installing sound-absorbing panels, this problem could be alleviated considerably with reasonable effort, because the panels are inexpensive and can also be easily installed by laypeople.

We hosted our wedding reception with 97 people at Salinas on Saturday. It was perfect. Everything was as discussed. Whether decoration, candy bar, coffee/cake, buffet, midnight snack and drinks - everything was very nice and tasty. The atmosphere was like being on holiday and there was consistently positive feedback from the guests. A big compliment to the staff and their service: attentive, quick and very nice. We can highly recommend it and will definitely celebrate our wedding anniversary at Salinas more often now.

I wouldn't eat here anymore. Dishes were not good and desserts use spray cream. If you just want a drink, the store is okay. But also just because of the beautiful location.

Shame they only accept the local issued cards. Won't accept Visa or Mastercard or debit cards.

The restaurant is located directly at the Volksgarten and has a large parking lot nearby. The service is good and courteous. Unfortunately the restaurant is a bit noisy even if not all tables are occupied. The food is great and the cake is high quality. Price performance is right. Dogs are allowed into the restaurant.

A bit crowded. When the weather is good in summer, all hell is bound to break loose.

Located directly in the park with a view of a small lake. There are seats outside on the terrace and inside in a beautifully decorated room. The menu was diverse. There was breakfast, various main courses, cakes, ice cream and various snacks. The prices are okay. We had waffles with cherries and cream, apricot lattice cake and steakhouse fries. Everything was delicious. The service was very friendly and quick. Even though all the seats were occupied, we were served quickly and received the food we ordered quickly. We'll definitely come back.

We have been to Salinas several times now and have always been thrilled by the great food, the super friendly and courteous service and the beautiful ambience! Both the breakfast and the dinner are of excellent quality and the price is absolutely ok for the quality offered. We would like to come again!

Very bad food after you let the steak and pizza go back the second time and mentioned that you only wanted to pay for what you actually ate, the service became unfriendly and kept you waiting for a very long time. I can definitely not recommend this restaurant!! The pond next to it was still very beautiful.

I've never eaten worse... Neither service nor the quality of the food was okay! We were also escorted out by the police because we wanted to pay for the food we didn't eat!!! Never ever again!! You can also burn your money there! You sh fo!!!!

Absolutely not recommended, service was so... Now we come to the food, which we couldn't eat at first because it was inedible. The pizza I ordered first arrived wrong and then it was totally hard on the outside and the entire middle wasn't baked through. On top of that, we were held back for an hour so that they could tell lies to the police🤦👍😅 We just wanted the bill for the 4 meals that were somewhat edible. We also wanted to pay for them, but we weren't allowed to pay until the nice police showed up ✌️ 🙃 thanks for nothing Anyone who eats there has no control over their life 😉

Great view of the Volksgarten. The waitresses are very attentive and friendly. Order requests are fulfilled immediately. You only have to wait a short time for the high-quality food.

Always friendly staff and everything from the tiramisu to the meat was delicious. The ambience also fits & the terrace is a great place....😋👍 And I can still sign that exactly the same way 3 years later 🤩

Were there for the first time on a Friday evening. It was packed and yet the service was top notch and eating there was a pleasure. We had 1x burger, 2x pasta mushrooms and spinach gorgonzola, 1x starter platter and sweet potato fries. Everything came to the table super fast and hot at the same time and the food was a dream. I can only recommend this restaurant and the ambience was totally harmonious, all in all a great evening.

Spontaneously had dinner there with 7 people. Got a seat at 9 p.m. Food was on the table for everyone at the same time and at short notice. All very tasty. Attentive service, what more could you want.

We celebrated my grandmother's 85th birthday here with a total of 4 generations. There was something suitable for everyone and the service team looked after young and old alike. The food is extremely cheap for the size of the portions; the little ones even get their food for free. We were able to take what was too much with us and the service even got creative with the packaging. Cheers! We would love to come back!

Food is really average. Everything looks great when prepared. “Burger” bread is not commonly found with a bun. Unfortunately it was difficult to cut. The beef patty was well done and dry. Dessert looked nice. But I didn't taste vanilla ice cream. I expected more from the chocolate cake. The house soda is too sweet with a syrup. 0.3 for just over €4.50 is not justified. The service is simple and friendly. The ambience and location is great, especially in summer. The guest room is a large room that was very loud. Conclusion. If you don't expect much and are satisfied with average, you will be able to dine there. An unforgettable experience simply looks different for me.

We reserved a table for 6 people at 7 p.m. There was enough staff on site, but the service left a lot to be desired. It wasn't well heated there. Everyone was freezing. At 9pm we were asked to place the last drink order. At 9:15 p.m. we were asked to pay. The evening there was over for us at 9:30 p.m. We were looking forward to the evening together and would have liked to stay, but all the guests then left the restaurant. It's a shame, because the food was good and, apart from the cold, it was very comfortable there.

Es ist eine absolute Sauerei. Geburtstag mit über 20 Personen dort mit zwei Kegelbahnen geplant und gebucht und 2 Tage vorher wird gesagt, dass wir nur eine Kegelbahn zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen. So verliert man Gäste.

Sehr nett Geburtstag gefeiert meiner Mama leckeres Frühstück,super Service dazu noch sehr ansehnlich .Für jeden zu empfehlen;)

Da würde ich wieder gerne essen gehen

Wir hatten im September einen Tisch für 5 Personen reserviert. Die Mitarbeiterinnen empfingen uns freundlich und führten uns zum Tisch in der Mitte des Restaurants. Zügig wurden wir dann auch bedient und auf die Getränke mussten wir nicht lange warten. Anschließend bestellten wir Schweinelendchen und unterschiedliche Burger. Hier ist zu erwähnen, dass die Burger nicht mit den üblichen Pattys sondern mit gegrilltem Rinderrücken zubereitet werden. Es ist eine gelungene Variante die uns schmeckte. Das Außenambiente mit der Terrasse direkt am Volksgartenweiher ist einfach nur schön. Das Innenambiente nun leider nicht so. Es lag wohl daran, dass wir in der Mitte des Raumes saßen und dort der Geräuschpegel sehr hoch war. Beim nächsten Besuch sitzen wir dann draußen.
