Salento Classico in Bremen

A lovely restaurant with delicious food, served by a friendly, attentive waiter. I highly recommend it! I'd be happy to return anytime.

Unfortunately, the menu has been significantly reduced (a lot of pizza), and dishes I used to enjoy there are no longer available. The service is unfriendly.

Friday evening, almost nothing going on. Guests at the next table were dissatisfied with their food, and they started shouting at each other, which was extremely unprofessional. Then our order was forgotten. We both ate pizza that tasted strangely of nothing. Paying also took too long in the almost empty restaurant. Not recommended.

Long wait times, pizza tastes bland and kind of weird. Won't be back.

We were last at Salento Classico a few years ago, and we were all very satisfied. Now, after such a long time, we returned with a larger group. We were really looking forward to our visit, but unfortunately, we were quite disappointed... the two waiters were friendly and competent. Unfortunately, the food we had was mostly not good. Someone had the pasta carbonara as a starter; the dish had a good flavor, but the sauce was a bit watery. Then, someone else at our table had the carbonara as a main course, and unfortunately, the pasta wasn't cooked all the way through. There was no sauce, so the pasta was incredibly dry, and the dish tasted very bland. Several people at the table had the entrecot, and each plate was portioned differently. Unfortunately, my entrecot wasn't well prepared—there was no roasted flavor, and it was very stringy, making it difficult to eat. The pizza was also bland. I don't need to go into the rest of the details here; I think this says enough for now. All that remains to say is that we hope the owners might reconsider. We'd love to come back, but not to this standard. It's a shame. Hopefully, they'll take the criticism to heart.

We were there a few weeks ago, with a total of five people. The wait for our order was reasonable. The food itself was disappointing: The pizza was too stiff, and the toppings tasted bland. The pasta was overcooked and served in a watery sauce that tasted neither of tomatoes nor herbs – no trace of "authentic Italian." Unfortunately, none of us had a culinary experience, and the prices were definitely not appropriate. I think there are better Italian restaurants in the area.

We were completely embraced by the new family concept and felt like part of the family. All the dishes made us happy; from the "forbidden pasta" gnocchi to the beetroot risotto with liver and pizza, we had everything on the table. Unfortunately, dessert wasn't possible because we were all too full. We'd love to come back to our Italian family!

A lovely, family-friendly atmosphere. The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable. Authentic Italian cuisine; the chefs are happy to accommodate special requests/allergies. Very friendly staff. The portions are significantly larger after the change in management. Highly recommended!

The pasta was abysmally bad, but the chef claimed otherwise. I had green tagliatelle with white Bolognese sauce from the "kitchen's recommendations." There was no salt in the cooking water, it wasn't even half-cooked, and it wasn't stirred. As a result, the "nests" were still halfway there, hard and lumpy. The sauce was bland. I immediately sent it back, but they were back in front of me after 10 seconds, saying there was nothing to complain about. I then took the plate to the kitchen. The chef then actually tried to tell me (from a distance of 4 meters) that she had tasted it, and that tagliatelle was just like that, "done" and good. I asked several times to come over with a fork and take a sample, but she didn't dare. By then, my anger had wiped me out of my appetite, and my evening with friends was ruined. On top of that, she insisted on paying for my drinks while I waited.

We came here after the cardboard boat regatta, with a reservation and full of anticipation. Unfortunately, the good food also went with Luigi. Starters were served with lots of salad under the carpaccio and vitello, and the salad (not fresh) was probably used for extra flavor. We asked the waiter three times how the main course (octopus and prawns) was presented, and the result was a disaster. You could have skipped the pizza; all the dishes we ordered were poor value for money. The crowning glory was two grappas on the house in different glasses. A shame - but you'd get more for the money here.

Discutiblemente la peor experiencia en restaurantes que he tenido! Éramos un grupo de 4. El servicio era bastante lento. Traté de pedir un plato. Después de unos minutos vino otro camarero a informarme que el plato estaba fuera. Así que comprobé el menú para una nueva selección solo para saber que también se habían quedado sin masa de pizza (lo que significa que la mitad de su menú no estaba disponible después de todo). Finalmente encontró un plato y pidió intercambiar espinacas por calabresas. Se pidieron 4 platos de pasta. Hemos estado esperando mucho tiempo, al menos 45 minutos después del pedido final. Finalmente nos dieron los platos. Excepto la mía. No han sido capaces de procesar mi ajuste por ninguna espinaca. Además, ya no podían hacer el plato, ya que ahora estaban sin el queso necesario para eso (y otros platos). Ridículamente, el camarero quería que pagara el plato que no había pedido. Ni siquiera una disculpa apropiada.

Salento dreary... The reception and the entire table service was professional and attentive. The restaurant is simply but authentically furnished. You can certainly feel comfortable here. The food was served after a little over an hour and unfortunately was not very convincing. The pizza is just about satisfying, but the pasta is a real disappointment. What we particularly notice about all the dishes is the bland seasoning - unfortunately it's not Italian at all. The images here on Google obviously come from earlier times. We cannot recommend a visit to Salento classico.

The service staff was very friendly and professional - that deserves special praise. Unfortunately the food was a bitter disappointment. The antipasti starter consisted mainly of randomly selected vegetables, completely unseasoned. After 1.5 hours of waiting, the main course arrived, which was again completely tasteless. Everything just seemed cooked and carelessly placed on the plate - it had nothing to do with cooking. None of us finished our dish (even close to it) because unfortunately there was no enjoyment at all. What was particularly annoying was that the food was also very expensive for this really underground performance. The price-performance ratio is unacceptable.

Food was mediocre. Orders were only partially served correctly. From other tables it was clear that plates were completely returned. As of today, I can no longer recommend Salento Classico

Very disappointing for the money, hardly anything on the plate on the pizza, one and a half cherry tomatoes, if I just want to eat pizza dough then the pizza is good but for almost 15 euros I expected something decent. I'll never go there again

We were there as a group of 6 people. Unfortunately we left hungry. The portions are small, but the prices are very high. I had three calamaris with souse on the plate for just under €30. There was also a single plate with potatoes and vegetables for three people, the potatoes weren't all cooked through and the vegetables were very, very watery. There was also a basket of bread for the whole group. The bread was tasty but far too little. Conclusion of the evening, if you want to be full you have to go somewhere else. Our conditions were very friendly and helpful, a very likeable young woman.

New Year's Eve 2024 The four of us had already taken part in the New Year's Eve menu at Salento Classico several times and so far we were always satisfied and were always surprised with different, interesting culinary delights. How good that we still had photos of the prepared plates from New Year's Eve 2023 for comparison. But even without photos it quickly became clear to us: the price has risen considerably and the offer has been significantly reduced. There were hardly any changes to the food in the individual courses compared to the previous year, the plates were arranged carelessly, even carelessly. Only the fish was hot - everything else came to the table lukewarm. Some of it was tasty, but overall we didn't enjoy the food. The kitchen's time management was a disaster, so we couldn't leave the restaurant until 11:45 p.m., which meant we were right in the middle of the bangs. By the way, my friend found a piece of wire in her food. That was acknowledged, but nothing more. The team could certainly have increased beverage sales, but other than at the beginning we weren't asked what we wanted. Drinks that were given in between uncovering or uncovering were sometimes not served. I could see that the team was more busy having fun behind the counter than keeping an eye on the guests. It's a shame, it's a shame! Conclusion: we were very disappointed and we miss the previous chef Luigi. We'll be somewhere else on New Year's Eve 2025.

Good food at fair prices. The staff is attentive and friendly. When the weather is good, a spot outside on the Ambassador Duckwitz Square is highly recommended.

The mussels I ordered tasted and smelled old, musty and therefore inedible. My complaint that the mussels weren't fresh was dismissed with the explanation that it probably didn't suit my personal taste. We also had a pizza. The taste was good, but the pizza dough was way too thick. Addendum: in the restaurant we were told that the mussels were from yesterday and not from today. We ate about 1/3 of the mussels. The noodles with the mussels were ok, we ate them too.

We were there with 15 people. A person's food was forgotten. Got her food when everyone else was finished. That was very unfortunate. I had bruschetta as a starter. The bread was so hard that it was almost impossible to enjoy. Portions and dishes like pizza were very small. Conclusion: We will not visit the restaurant again. That was also what many of my colleagues said. It's a shame actually.

The restaurant was very pretty and lovingly decorated. The design is classic. The restaurant has a "semi-open" kitchen. You could half see into the kitchen. It was very interesting to watch how the food was cooked. I ordered the homemade gnocci with Gorgonzola sauce and spicy Italian salami and my friend ordered the 2-course surprise meal. The gnocci and sauce were freshly cooked. The salami wasn't really my thing but it didn't matter, it was about the gnocci. The portions were not too much and not too little. You were full. My friend got carpaccio with fresh mushrooms and parmesan strips as a surprise starter. For the main course he had Iberico steak with a Parmesan crust and a variety of vegetables. He enjoyed it very much 👍🏻. Finally, we ordered tartufo with white chocolate for dessert and he had “mascarpone” with chocolate and caramel. Both were poems ☺️. Overall, I can only recommend the restaurant. It was very tasty, everything was freshly prepared and the prices were absolutely reasonable.

Two hours is definitely an unacceptable wait, with one A group of 12 people had a completely forgotten order, rather small portions, shepherd's cheese salad with less shepherd's cheese than fits in a matchbox, no bread with the salad, the taste was rather below average. Prices are above average. No further visits from me and of course no recommendation.

Really nice, solid Italian cuisine! The ambience was very nice. It was a while ago, but I remember it positively. We had various dishes including the large starter platter, pasta with anchovies, spaghetti and schnitzel. Everything was well cooked. And we enjoyed it. The only thing was that the schnitzel was a bit very dark and was turned dark side down. Because my father could have brought it up and didn't. Who else orders schnitzel from the Italian restaurant 🤦🏻‍♂️. Therefore I don't deduct any points for this. Otherwise, gladly again!

Well... Typically Italian? Ambience - you could say - it's cozy... The food - no! Not at all... You won't find pizza like this anywhere in Italy, for example... Beer - only one kind... Martini with olive - it doesn't work/doesn't exist... AND no trace of affogato... 😔 ... What a pity... Oh yes - but the service was very nice!

I asked if you could get calamari as a starter as it was only on the menu as a main course. If the answer was yes there would be no problem. Until the bill because a pair of calamaris as a main course were charged for €26.50...

We come here for lunch about 1-2 times a month. So far we have actually always been very satisfied. The last two times we noticed that the size of the portions had decreased significantly! Ordered Piccata Milanese today for 17 euros and almost had to look for the meat!! We were asked by the very young waitress whether we liked it (we did) but the portion was very, very clear. The young lady acknowledged this without saying a word and...NOTHING happened! Very unfortunate.

The food and service were absolutely outstanding! The food was really delicious! Freshly prepared and tasty! Again and again!

The Salento Classico is the restaurant for Italian cuisine in Vegesack, for me it is definitely the best in the north of Bremen. The food is very tasty, the staff is courteous, the lunch menu is varied and includes vegetarian options. The atmosphere can be described as cozy at best. There is definitely a certain need for renovation in the restaurant and in the sanitary facilities. The location in the pretty old town of Vegesack is positive.

We liked it and, above all, tasted good.

This was the worst and puniest lasagna I have ever eaten. It was a small, caked-together lump of dough sheets. The metal filling, if it was present at all, could not be found. That's why the sheets of dough stuck to each other. There was plenty of tomato sauce, but it was cold. And all for 15 EUR. It's a shame I didn't take a photo of it. Any frozen lasagna from the supermarket is better than what I was offered there. Four of my guests ordered pasta dishes. These were okay in terms of taste, but gave more of the impression of children's plates. Of course at the price for adults. Only my fifth guest's pizza was okay, although quite expensive. 16.50 EUR for a few very small tomatoes and some mozzarella. Big profits are made here with little use of materials. I know I should have complained about this at the restaurant. But I didn't want to dampen the good mood among my guests and myself. Plus, when I go out to eat, I don't want to be stressed. I will not be visiting this restaurant again and my five guests feel the same way. It's a shame about what was supposed to be a lovely evening.

We discovered this Italian restaurant by chance. A great atmosphere, we immediately got a great table without having reserved. The really nice "waiter" was super attentive and friendly. We ate the best pizza we've ever had here. The gnocchi were a dream....and as a greeting from the house the "Persile pesto"...a poem! If we ever get lost in Vegesack again, we'll be happy to come back!!

Unfortunately we didn't have a nice evening like we had about 2 weeks ago, the super nice young waitresses tried to do their best, not like the boss who seemed a bit too arrogant but will definitely come back for the wonderful food

Alle Gerichte am Tisch waren schön angerichtet und wurden von den Anwesenden positiv bewertet. Angesichts der Preisgestaltung war das aber auch erwartbar. Garnelen werden mit Kopf, aber vorgeschält serviert. Das ist hilfreich für alle, die nicht die Finger zum Schälen einsetzen möchten. Beim Essen mit der Familie egal, aber beim Geschäftsessen doch ganz angenehm. Das Vitello Tonnato als Vorspeise hätte ich mir etwas pikanter gewünscht (einige Kapern und eine halbe Sardelle mehr). Das ist aber Geschmackssache und keine Kritik an der Küche.

If things become even more expensive next year due to the VAT increase, it will be difficult, especially for a restaurant like Salento Classico, to satisfy guests enough to make them come back. We weren't really happy this time. We had saltimbocca for 28.50 euros and pork fillet for 26.50. The meat was good, the vegetables were ok and neither of us liked the potatoes. The portion size was clear and unfortunately not enough.

Wir hatten eine Vorspeise und als Hauptgericht Ente und Spaghetti Carbonara. Die Qualität war top. Der Service sehr aufmerksam. Ohne Vorspeisen wäre ich jedoch nicht von der Carbonara satt geworden.

Schön ausgestattet, gute, reichhaltige Speisekarte, Preise von / bis...für jeden etwas dabei, sehr freundlicher Service, ein bißchen mehr Aufmerksamkeit bei leeren Gläsern wäre toll

Ganz kleiner Mittagstisch im Salento Classico (Vegesack): Gebratene Sardinenfilets auf Rucola von der aktuellen Wochenkarte. Ausgesprochen lecker. Nebenbei sei angemerkt: Im Salento gibt es das beste Brot von allen Italienern in Bremen. - Das Salento ist in jeder Hinsicht empfehlenswert.

Zur Mittagszeit waren wir hier essen. Pizza war selbstgemacht, kein Industrieprodukt. Teich war lecker und gut belegt. Vorspeise war Thomate mit Buefelmorzarlla, lecker. Lokal kann weiterempfohlen werden. Preis Leistung stimmt.

Das Essen - Hauptgang - ist schmackhaft und frisch gewesen. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es für das Dessert. Dies war ein Fertigprodukt und in der Konsistenz ziemlich hart beim essen. Zuvorkommender Service. Das Restaurant ist in die Jahre gekommen und könnte eine Auffrischung vertragen ( Deko & Aufmachung/Aufteilung der Tische damit man nicht mitten im Eingang sitzt ). Insgesamt zu empfehlen. Bilder sprechen für sich.

Bester Italiener in Bremen Nord, überaus freundliches Personal - immer zackig. Speisen und Getränke von bester Qualität und die wechselnde Empfehlungskarte gefällt uns besonders.🍀 Weiter so.

Von Pasta über Fisch und Saltimbocca war alles hervorragend. Auch gute Auswahl an Weinen. Man sitzt hervorragemd draussen. Allerdings sollte man etwas Obacht geben. Mein Espresso wurde von einem Obdachlosen getrunken.

Super lecker und preislich mehr als angemessen! Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Bedienung! Immer wieder gerne!

Das Salento Classico ist immer wieder einen Besuch wert. Eine tolle Küche und ein netter Service. Besonders gut ist immer wieder das Überraschungsmenue.

Beim zweiten Besuch leider nicht mehr so gut. Bei der telefonischen Reservierung wurde nach "Geburtstag" gefragt, damit stilvoll geschmückt werden kann. Beim Eintreffen leider nichts davon zu erkennen. Unprofessionelles Personal, auf Nachfrage, warum das ein oder andere vergessen wurde, kam nur die Antwort "oh, hab ich wohl vergessen". Gast steht nicht im Mittelpunkt. Essen aber top! Küche kann nichts dafür. Insgesamt aber zu teuer für das gebotene Gesamtpaket.

Ich kann mich der schlechten Bewertung von Herrn Fischer nur anschließen. War an dem besagten Abend auch im Restaurant. Der Mitarbeiter konnte sich auch an das Gespräch mit Herrn Fischer erinnern. Hatte scheinbar vergessen die Reservierung zu notieren. Kann ja auch mal vorkommen...Sind alles nur Menschen... Das Problem war bzw ist aber der Umgang mit der ganzen Geschichte. Keine Entschuldigung, keine Anstrengung den Fauxpas irgendwie wieder gut zu machen... Schade und eindeutig Chance vertan!!! Nun noch zur "geforderten" Bewertung für das Restaurant "Zum Alois". Gutes Essen, gute Preise und vor allem GUTER SERVICE!!!

Canelloni kann ich nicht empfehlen, die Füllung hatte kaum Geschmack. Ansonsten waren die Gerichte aber sehr gut. Sehr Kinderfreundlich. Die Kids konnten dann nach dem Essen auch gleich draußen in der Fußgängerzone spielen.

Sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal. Das Essen war sehr gut 😋. Das Ambiente ist nicht so mein Fall. Trotzdem ist es aus meiner Sicht sehr zu empfehlen.

Aktuell nach meiner Meinung das beste italienische Restaurant in Bremen. Das beste Gericht ist das "Fritto misto" und auch die Trüffelnudeln sind perfekt.

Authentisches gutes italienisches Essen, Tageskarte anschauen dort gibt es auch immer Leckereien zu entdecken.

Es war eine sehr schöner Abend mit Freunden im Salento Classico. Die gewählten Gerichte waren erstklassig. Am Besten kam Pizza Pane an. Mit Parmesan überbackener Spargel war meine Krönung des Abends. Kompliment an die Küche.

Die Bedienung hat sehr unprofessionell auf unsere Reklamation reagiert (erst gar nicht, dann noch frech. Anschließend wurde nicht mal gefragt,ob es geschmeckt hat. )Die Beilagen waren zu wenig und die Preise sehr hoch. Das Essen war lecker.

Es war ein gelungener Abend mit Freunden. Die servierten Speisen waren sehr gut. Besonders zu erwähnen ist das Pizza Pane. Einfach eine kleine Sensation. Erstklassig war auch der mit Parmesan überbackene Spargel mit Parma- und Rehschinken. Aufgrund der sehr guten Auslastung, war es etwas lauter im Restaurant. Das ist der räumlichen Gegebenheit geschuldet. Auch zu empfehlen ist der preiswerte Mittagstisch.

Schlechter geht es nicht! Tisch für vier Personen bereits zwei Monate im Vorraus reserviert und keinen Platz bekommen. Der entsprechende Mitarbeiter konnte sich sogar noch an das Telefonat erinnern, hatte aber vergessen die Reservierung einzutragen. Kein einziges Wort des Bedauerens, nicht die kleinste Good-Will-Geste: So kann mann natürlich auch mit seinen Gästen umgehen. In der anschliessenden Mund-zu-Mund-Prapaganda fielen Worte wie "Schickimicki-Laden ohne Gegenleistung", "Total überteuert und ich wurde nicht mal satt" oder "Einmal und nie wieder". Da kann man ja schon fast glücklich sein, dass die Reservierung platzte! Zum Glück hatte das Restaurant "Zum Alois" noch einen Tisch für uns. Völliges Kontrastprogramm: Super Service, leckere Speisen und adäquate Preise.

Excellent place and really good Italian food restaurant. I tried a nice soup and excellent tagliatelle. Very good house wine from Italy. I can only recommend this nice place. Very friendly staff.

Dieses Restaurant ist uns in den letzten Jahren sehr ans Hers gewachsen. Die Besitzer sind herzlich, kompetent, die Küche grandios. Hier wird noch richtig „italienisch“ gekocht: Gemüse, Fleisch, Fisch sind excellent zubereitet. Pizza gibt es natürlich auch!

Lecker, aber nicht ganz günstig

Ein kleines Lokal mit schöner Atmosphäre. Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 9 Leuten da. Freundliche Bedienung, es hat aber eine Stunde gedauert, bis unser Essen kam. Die Pizzen waren durchweg lecker und gut belegt. Die Fleischgerichte sind von guter Qualität, die Portionen allerdings recht übersichtlich. Mein Tischpartner und ich hatten Spaghetti ai Gamberi. Geschmacklich top aber leider waren die paar Spaghettis kaum ausreichend um auch nur annähernd satt zu werden. Fazit: Das Essen war lecker, preislich recht hoch. Ich werde aber, wenn ich anschließend noch eine Portion Pommes an der Ecke essen muss, um satt zu sein, künftig lieber ein anderes Lokal wählen.

Endlich ein besonderer Laden auch in Bremen Nord. Sensationell gute Küche, tolle Atmosphäre, super Personal.

Der beste Italiener in Umkreis von... der Koch macht es mit amore und das schmeckt man. Es lohnt sich immer dort zu essen!!! Wir kommen immer gerne wieder.

Egal was man aus der Karte bestellt: Alles ist super, die können Italienisch Kochen. Die Pizzen sind einmalig und alles andere ist Spitze. Gerichte von der Tageskarte immer alle zu empfehlen ! Preislich absolut günstig !

Ein gemütlicher kleiner Italiener mit einer tollen Auswahl an essen. Von einer Pizza Magherita bis zur Tagliatelle mit Trüffel ist alles dabei. Preis/Leistung stimmt auch! Wir kommen gerne wieder. Die Bedienung war okay, man hat aber gemerkt, dass sie sich viel Mühe gegeben hat. Ich empfehle jedem die Pizza Buffalina 😍

Das Ambiente ist ganz nett, aber das Preisleistungsverhältnis beim Mittagstisch stimmt nicht! Die Portionen sind okay und für eine gutbürgerliche Küche vom Geschmack auch okay, allerdings Preise wie ein Nobelitaliener!

... und jetzt hat es geklappt. Respekt vor der wechselnden Karte, Respekt vor dem Umgang mit dem Essen. Liebevoll gemacht, gutes Waren und auf den Punkt gebraten. Bruschetta und Vitello Tonnato als Antipasti, Als Aperitivi bestellen wir "Anna" und Martini Bianco. Warum der junge Mann im Service bei "Anna" grinste, bekamen wir nicht heraus. dann gab Risotto und Lammkarree auf Rotwein. Geschmacklich top und ein gutes Niveau. Leider vergaß der junge Mann unsere dazu bestellten Pfifferlinge, die dann von eine der Frauen gebracht wurden. Lecker mit Butter und gut geputzt. Insgesamt eine tolle Küchenleistung, gut auf den Teller gebracht. Die beiden Frauen im Service brachten uns dann den Espresso, den der junge Mann auch vergaß. Schwamm drüber. Preise stimmen bei der Qualität. Außerdem gab es statt Nestle-Wasser Viva con Aqua mit einer tollen Erklärung, wie ihr im Foto sehen könnt.

Ich habe eine Pizza Frutti Mare mit Knoblauch gegessen und muss sagen es war von den Zutaten bisher die Hochwertigste die ich jemals bekommen habe. Große Scampi, Muscheln in der Schale und Tintenfische. Der Pizza Teig ist absolut cross und schmeckt lecker. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Ich würde jederzeit wieder kommen.

Zum Geburtstag meines Mannes wollten wir gut essen gehen. Das ist und im Salento Classico sehr gut gelungen. Das Essen, wir hatten beide das Lammfilet, war excellent. Auch mein Nachtisch mit Pistazieneis hat sehr lecker geschmeckt. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt, hier noch mal unseren herzlichen Dank an den Service, und werden ganz sicher wiederkommen.
