Salamat in Berlin

Very nice restaurant. The service was very attentive and polite, and the food was excellent! We had two dishes and one dessert mix and were completely satisfied. A special highlight were the homemade smoothies, which were very fresh and not too sweet. Highly recommended!

Nice lil spot, I noticed the food of some peoples plate and realized a craving I didn’t know of. Unfortunately I only got the Pascha Plate which is just a beef shawarma platter but w a couple of sides and more expensive. I would like to try the Haluzha or the Baumya as well.

A beautiful blend of spices, balanced yet outspoken. and you can really tell the quality of a restaurant by how they do their falafel ;) Will def visit again when I get the chance

A nice little restaurant serving authentic Iraqi cuisine. It's served with a high level of authenticity and without compromise. The mixed platters are highly recommended as a main course or starter. The atmosphere at the main intersection can sometimes be noisy, typical of the city. A wide selection for vegetarians, and vegan dishes are available upon request.

Honestly the food here was genuinely some of the best food I've had in Berlin! We had the sharing for 2 plate (meat option) and the variety and flavours and amount were all incredible and perfect! I will for sure be going back here again! Please Salamat don't change a thing you have hit gold already! Can highly recommend! And one more thing the sharing for 2 plate easily fed 3 of us as well

I can't understand the excellent reviews. The food is okay, but nothing special if you know oriental food. I found the appetizer plate to be a bit carelessly prepared. What's particularly unfortunate is that the bread wasn't fresh but rather dry. Plus the bread wasn't even warmed up. The restaurant was hardly busy on a Saturday evening. The service is OK, but nothing more. It's a shame actually, because the atmosphere is quite nice.

Super nice restaurant in Berlin with middle east food. We ordered the Darband Plate (chicken) & the Rinderschawarma (meat) for share. Incredibly flavorful, spiced and balanced meal. The mutabel in the chicken plate was amazing. Would definitely come back.

We had olives as a small starter and the Darban plate, with laban. Every single dish from the platter was incredibly delicious, as was the appetizer and drink. I'm looking forward to trying the other dishes on my next visit. The service was also super courteous and attentive.

Even the very friendly service and the appealing ambience couldn't save us the evening. The four of us ordered the recommended house platters both as a starter and as a main course, each for two people. The appetizer platters gave us a tasty start, combined with a well-chilled bottle of Merwah white wine. The advertised Hammurabi main course platter, with the side dishes arranged in a circle, was 1:1 similar to the starter platter, mind you, with a unit price of 54 euros. The described beef fillet strips shawarma and shredded chicken shawarma were intended for a maximum of 1 person and had to be searched for in the dominant red sauce. In addition, the beef was incorrectly cut and very dry. The chicken pieces were good but rare. Overall, the food was more of a snack quality, with a price of around 50 euros per person.

We went to this place on Saturday evening, the waiters were kind, the environment was very small, there was little light, the menu was small, we had to use the light on the phone to eat and understand the dish. The price was very high, a dish for two with a few sauces, falafel, tabule, carrots, potatoes, chicken kebab and meat. 50 euros than other places no more than 20/25 and very well done. We would never go back. A place for Germans and foreigners. A scam a glass of water 3 euros

Honestly, I don't quite get the high rating. The food was average. I get a tastier shawarma, for half the price (and a bigger portion) at my local shawarma shop in Friedrichshain.

Awesome food we got with almost no waiting time. Maybe pita breads could be a bit softer, but leaving this aspect aside, we were super satisfied with a plate for two + chai and malven teas

Great place for a pleasant dinner. My friends and I visited this restaurant and were pleased with everything: the food was delicious and the portions were quite large. Went for my wife’s birthday, part of a week in Berlin. Excellent service, ambience and delicious food. Also really enjoyed the Lebanese wine. Definitely recommend this restaurant. The staff are attentive yet leave you to enjoy your meal. Loved it.

Stylishly furnished oriental, but unfortunately also expensive restaurant. The food was very tasty and decoratively prepared. Our main courses were: - Spinach (fried chicken breast fillet with champions, spinach in creamy sumac curry nutmeg sauce served with rice) - Babylon platter (served with tabbouleh, mutabbal, falafel, halloumi, makali). There was also delicious bread. As a drink I had a homemade lime mix. The waiters were friendly and not intrusive.

Been here 3 times and every time I am reminded how good Iraqi food can be. I always order the veg platter. each part of the dish is flavorful in its own way. I look forward to eating here every time I visit Berlin

Il proprietario ci ha accolti in italiano ed è stato molto gentile per tutta la durata della cena. Il cibo è buono e ben presentato, menzione speciale per i falafel, veramente ottimi. Anche il dolce molto buono e non stucchevole come a volte capita nei ristoranti di questo tipo di cucina. Il conto molto contenuto. Consigliabilissimo.

We recently visited Salamat during our family/friends trip to Berlin. After visiting the Bradenberg Gate we were on the lookout for the an amazing dinner place. While there were a lot of amazing choices, we were really craving Middle Eastern food . We made reservations as this place gets really busy. We made the 30-minute trek along the Spree River to Salamat. The place had outside seating and inside seating is quite small. We were seated outside on a beautiful evening. After our regular orders of drinks, one item on the menu caught our eye - The Bagdad Plate. This can be used a starter for 4 people or a main course meal for 2. There is also a non-vegetarian meal option but we settled on the Bagdad Plate. It consists of Tabule, Mutabel, Falafel, Hummus, Kartoffein+Makkali(Fried vegetables refined with wild thyme) + Pastille(Puff Pastry rolls filled with sheep's cheese, spinach). The food was so filling and extremely tasty. Every dish seemed like it was made to perfection and with love. As we took a bite off each of the dishes, we had a sense of satisfaction. This is a place to go for vegetarians . You will not be disappointed. Enjoy the beautiful ambience of the restaurant and the food.

Man muss schon englisch können, um sich zu verständigen. Weinflasche mit 35 € deutlich zu teuer, nur EINER auf der Karte🤮🤮🤮 Dafür ohne Kühler, probieren fällt auch aus. Essen fad, mit orientalisch nix zu tun. Schlecht !
