It's exactly what one would expect from conveyor belt sushi. As a previous review mentioned there are a lot of fried and salty options as well as the typical nigiri and maki or deserts ranging from fruit to Joghurt and cakes. If you order all you can eat it should be noted that buying a drink is mandatory as well but soup and ice cream is included!

I'd especially like to highlight the waitress: she was very, very nice and friendly, always served us with a smile, and made us feel comfortable. The restaurant's location is unbeatable. Sometimes, when it's supposed to be open, you find it closed, and you don't see any signage as to why. You can't pay by card for anything less than €25, and be careful, not all types of cards are accepted. The restaurant has a terrace. It's not very large, but it has a few tables. Inside, it's on the small side, but cozy. The "Running Sushi" 🍣 is good, except that since the dishes don't come in large quantities, you end up eating too many dishes to satisfy your appetite. The place has its charm and is worth a visit. I recommend taking the U-Bahn (SchlossPlatz stop) because finding parking in the area is a real challenge.

Sakura in downtown Stuttgart is a running sushi and a la carte restaurant where you can enjoy all-you-can-eat meals at a very fair price. I chose this one for my visit. I quickly got a seat at the conveyor belt and was impressed by the variety of dishes on offer. The sushi was mostly fresh, and salmon and tuna, maki, and nigiri were regularly refilled. The only thing I didn't 100% like was the fried food on the conveyor belt. It was a bit too greasy for my taste and perhaps could have been drained a bit longer before being placed on the conveyor belt.

I now only go in the evenings, around 6 p.m., because then there's a much wider selection at the buffet, and the prices are reasonable. When I go for lunch, I prefer to eat from the menu. The mappodufu is excellent, and the kimchi stew is also highly recommended.

The food was good, especially for the 15 euros for the afternoon, of course there was a bit too little real salmon or tuna and if you are on the wrong side of the conveyor belt you hardly get the special things at all, but for that 15 euros I will definitely come back more often, what we ate was very tasty, drinks were expensive

Fried chicken in Paperika sauce. A la carte. The chicken was very soft, a lot of fat?, tasteless. Very soft, poor quality. Not a good feeling, but that's a personal preference. Not our kind of Chinese, a big disappointment for us. The price was €40.80 for 2 meals, a water, and a coke. Debit card payment wasn't possible, so we paid cash. The coke and water came in a large glass. Friendly staff. Clean restroom.

If you prefer authentic Chinese cuisine to running sushi, Sakura is highly recommended. The dishes are sometimes quite unusual for European palates, but those who embrace them will be rewarded. Sometimes it can get spicy.

Wonderful restaurant with something new on the menu every time. I've been going there for years and am always pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is good for the price, and the food is very good. You'll spend more time here enjoying your meal. The restrooms are a bit wild, but somehow, it's okay for the urban atmosphere. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. They even accommodate special requests. I can recommend Sakura to anyone who enjoys good quality sushi at a reasonable price.

So we can only recommend it. We were very satisfied. We paid around €65 for two people with five drinks, which is absolutely fine. In fact, it's quite cheap. Of course, it's understandable that if you're having all-you-can-eat, you definitely have to have a drink. That's why I don't understand many people's criticisms. We were actually completely satisfied. The Brain is beautiful. It doesn't look like it from the outside, but the interior is very, very nicely designed.

The price itself is amazing! Unfortunately, the quality wasn't really good. The rice was quite dry, and the ingredients were unfortunately rather cheap. "Canned tuna" in sushi, in particular, isn't my thing. Salmon was barely available, and when it was, it was rare. Unfortunately, a lot of the food that passed us didn't look particularly appealing. The waitress we had was very friendly and helpful! We got the drinks menu quickly, and he was very attentive. Unfortunately, payment is only possible with debit cards! Running sushi can be a bit crowded in some places (depending on where you sit). Still, it was a nice experience, but we don't think we'll repeat it.

The all you can eat buffet is not very tasty. You wait 40 minutes to get a seat. I would not recommend ordering the food which is ok.

We came across this restaurant by surprise and were very pleasantly surprised. We ate à la carte. We had three different dishes, each of which was very delicious. Even though it was busy, we didn't have to wait long. The waiters were all very friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant. We would come back.

Great restaurant; most people come for the all-you-can-eat buffet. It's pretty good, with an interesting selection, and soup and ice cream are included. (The sushi with corn, however, is questionable.) It seems to be of relatively good quality. The service was good, friendly, and drinks came quickly. The ambiance is wonderful, with beautiful lanterns hanging from the ceiling and plants on the walls. The restaurant has tasteful Art Nouveau decor. If you're looking for an affordable buffet, this is the place for you.

I’ve been traveling around Europe for a while now – and this was by far the worst restaurant experience I’ve had, for several reasons. I came here hoping to celebrate and eat a lot, based on the restaurant’s famous “all you can eat” concept. I took three bites from three tiny dishes included in their so-called “meal.” Each bite from a different dish, just to be sure I wasn’t mistaken – but the food really was just bad. Not only that, it was cold. Every fried dish that should’ve been crispy and hot was instead flavorless and cold. The highlight – the sushi – was mediocre and basic (one bite was enough to tell), with fish that tasted like it had been sitting out for hours “waiting” to be eaten. I realized I didn’t want to continue with the “all you can eat” and asked to switch and order from the regular menu. Throughout the evening, the staff spoke irritably in a mix of unclear German-Chinese and broken English. Eventually, they agreed, and I received an average portion of fried chicken – something you’d get at any fast-food chain – with undercooked onions and a passable sauce. In the end, I was surprised to see they charged me an extra €7.50 for the small bites I tried at the beginning – refusing to acknowledge that it’s the equivalent of returning an unsatisfactory dish to the kitchen. And to top it off, they don’t accept non-German credit cards, so I had to go on an ATM hunt just to pay the inflated price for this shameful experience – all for a fortune cookie at the end. I love giving good reviews when a restaurant provides a positive experience, and I truly believe in supporting businesses that offer good service and atmosphere, creating mutual value. But when this is the experience – the review will reflect that. I absolutely do not recommend this place – it’s not worth the money, and the service lacks any respect or understanding of the basic customer relationship. I’m more than happy to pay what they ask, but they should offer food and service that lives up to it. That did not happen here.

Can't recommend it, waited 45 minutes for the food, overpriced, then I took it to go, because of all the grease the bag ripped and everything got on my work clothes, service rather unfriendly, food also upset my stomach - never again

We went to Sakura for lunch. We had free choice of seats and were greeted by the very friendly staff. There was always a lot of different choices on the sushi line and it was extremely tasty! We paid €14.90 per person without our drinks. I can recommend Sakura to everyone!

Absolutely underground!!! Such poor quality sushi is second to none. Hardly any choice, the same thing on the tape for over an hour and upon request this was not available and that was not available. That something like that can still exist. That's sushi 🍣 no go!!!!!

The food is really good, but somehow there is now a rule that you can only pay with a card if you spend more than €25. Means Bufet on Saturday €15.90 + €3.90 drink can't! Pay by card. A tip of €5.20 will then be automatically added. A DIN A4 piece of paper at the entrance points this out. *Of course you overlook it next to all the offers. That really disappointed me (a note when ordering would have been appropriate)

I've been coming here at least every two weeks for over 10 years and there's a reason for that. The food is always delicious, the staff is always very friendly and accommodating. I always feel very comfortable and am always happy to come back. Simply a nice restaurant where you feel comfortable.

No recommendation, the food was bad. I had a massaman curry with old and mushy potatoes and mushrooms. We actually wanted to eat running sushi, but after seeing what the sushi driving by looked like, we decided not to risk it.

For the price you can recommend it. Of course I can't expect gourmet sushi but as I said for the price you can eat your fill for lunch. If you really want great sushi you have to go somewhere else.

Unfortunately a big disappointment. €21.90 for running sushi, plus the obligation to buy a drink – and then this quality? From the moment the store opened at 5:30 p.m., the same plates were constantly running in circles without being replaced. At 6:30 p.m. the line consisted only of completely unappetizing food that no one wanted. The low point: Sushi with finely chopped Vienna sausages - the taste is unreasonable. Freshness and variety? None. Definitely not recommended.

My girlfriend and I are big fanatics of running sushi and we decided to give this restaurant a go while visiting Stuttgart. At first glance when entering the restaurant, we were pleasantly greeted with a nicely lit-up and decorated atmosphere, which made us even more excited about trying the food. However, our excitement quickly faded as soon as we began to observe the variety of food served. The food on the belt consisted of many untraditional variants of sushi, which mostly included either cooked meat, deep fried or both. One of our most shocking discoveries was a frankfurter sausage placed in the sushi and deep fried on the outside… While trying new things is great, we were mainly just upset that there was a lack of traditional, raw fish-based sushi. This is something that we would usually expect there to be an abundance of at any running sushi restaurant. Additionally, it was clear to us that the restaurant was really trying to get customers to buy drinks. We got the impression that the type of food served was specifically for making you thirsty. This includes a lot of fatty deep-fried foods, and really salty foods. We noticed that we both finished our drinks much faster than any other running sushi restaurant we visited before. On the bright side, we thought that the staff were actually quite friendly as opposed to many of the other reviews. Also, for the type of food served, the actual flavour and quality of food wasn’t all that bad. The desserts had a good variety, including different cakes and fruits, as well as asian desserts.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend it; the food doesn't taste good. I was here with a friend. For the first and last time, I ordered sweet and sour pork. Unfortunately, after two bites, I realized the meat was like rubber. My friend told me to speak up, he's the chef, and the meat is like rubber. I pointed it out, but the waiter didn't respond. I think it's a shame and unfair. I still had to pay for the meal.

Since we had positive experiences with running sushi, we wanted to try it in Stuttgart as well. We arrived around 5:30 p.m. (opening time) and were seated at the side because the tables were already reserved. It's generally a good sign for the restaurant that it's so busy. The selection is large, although I didn't try everything. However, due to this selection, some items are rather rare. For example, makis were rarely available. We wanted a bottle of still water, which wasn't listed on the menu. They only offered a 0.7-liter bottle of mineral water for €6.20. Since they also had bottles of still water in stock, we were offered a 1.5-liter bottle for €12.50(!). A bit excessive, in my opinion. The service here is rather unimportant, or perhaps not valued. The ladies were quick to clear the tables, though, which was great. The ambiance seems a bit dark and has a slight "basement" feel. However, if it's just food you're after, I can definitely recommend it. It was delicious 😋 good running sushi 🍣

Passing by Stu, this is the only Chinese restaurant nearby that is open on Christmas Eve. I had a meal here and was forced to charge a 50-cent tip 🙂 I’ve never been forced to charge a tip in German restaurants, but I was forced to charge a tip in a Chinese restaurant. It’s outrageous.

First we were very friendly shown to our place. The ambience was nice and the place was clean. Of course you have to ask yourself the question. With what expectations do you go to a restaurant like this? We just wanted to go beyond our limits. I managed 50 plates myself and then ate some ice cream. My friend Simon managed 65, that's really special. Some of the food was quite tasty, but certain creations consisting of Pringles sushi rice, avocado and mango confused us. Otherwise we would come back again. But we only ate from the all you can eat diner. The staff was great.

I visited the restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime and ate off the assembly line. Even though the restaurant was busy, the band was always full. There is a large selection of different types of sushi and other small dishes such as chicken with mushrooms or spring rolls. The food is good for an all you can eat and really good value for lunch. The service was also very good, the plates were cleared regularly and there were fortune cookies at the end.

I've been here a few times and think the sushi is good, but unfortunately I realized on my last visit that there are better ones. Nevertheless, the concept with running Suhsi is very cool and the all you can eat buffet is very worth it.

I was just eating here with a friend. We used to come here often. It's gotten so bad here. The same 3 pieces of sushi were driven around in front of your eyes for 2 hours, nothing was done, really NOTHING!!!! And you charge 20 euros for it if you want one There's so little choice. You can't eat the same thing 20 times. It's cheeky. You want to spend a nice evening like in the old days and something like that is served to you. But the main thing is to put up a huge poster with all the types of sushi there are. The There is, but definitely not here. Will NEVER come back. It's a shame that it's gotten so bad. Simply disappointing and sad. Then you don't have to be surprised that there's nothing going on, except for the few tourists who haven't heard of their luck yet knowledge.

Were there for the evening buffet, running sushi. The sushi's were tasteless and not fresh, there was only one piece of meat on the plate and you had to wait a long time until a second piece came, which was a joke. Noodles cold...meat cold to lukewarm...toilets broken and dirty. It all looked very unhygienic. I will never come again. My friend had a stomach ache afterwards. Too bad

Went there today with two kids for all you can eat sushi. Conclusion: Good shop where we could all fill our stomachs with delicious food. Everyone found their favorites and the children loved the running sushi route. I can recommend it with a clear conscience, we were all extremely satisfied. Very tasty little dishes that are put on a conveyor belt from the kitchen to be eaten. You can sit comfortably with family and friends and pick up your favorite food from the assembly line. They are located in a smaller corner, so it's hard to notice. But their food is good and authentic (I am Chinese, I can say that) and quite a big variety of food selections. I only been there for a small snack, but one day I would go back for the Mala Fried bowl(bigger bowl of noodle)

We went here today for Chinese brunch. The price-performance ratio is outstanding. You get a complete set with starters, main course, snack and drink for under €20. All dishes are authentically Chinese, which is also evident from the numerous Chinese guests. I will definitely go here more often. Service and service was also impeccable.

Food really wasn't fresh. All you can eat was very limited, always the same thing. Desserts weren't worth more than 0.50ct per plate. You really don't get that for the hefty price of 19.90.

The Sakura is only recommended to a limited extent. We've been here twice now and it's very mixed. This time I had the gyoza as a starter and they were really, really bad. Probably frozen and thawed. My main course was a Korean rice dish which was really tasty. My wife's curry was spicy, but otherwise extremely boring. It's definitely too expensive for me. The dishes on the sushi line didn't look particularly appetizing either.

Very nice staff. Delicious food at Running Sushi with a lot to choose from. Can't confirm that plates were on the conveyor forever. Of course there are no extravagant sushi variations for 20 euros all you can eat. Common sushi, various fruits, hot fried foods, cakes and other sweets. Cozy atmosphere. We'll be back! The menu card also looks promising and the food at the next table from the menu cards looked deliciously prepared. And seemed to taste good. Restaurant was busy for a Tuesday.

I do not know what the people who liked this restaurant's sushi train smoked. Because, the only way I would enjoy this restaurant is if I was black out drunk or starved after 15 days in the desert. And even then I wouldn't take half of the plates that are "featured".. in fact I should have bought the sushi from REWE. The soup was cold and as salty as the red sea. The only redeemable item was the ice cream which wasn't made by them, thankfully. We had some good laughs though every time the lady screamed at someone so 1/10

Not recommended for international tourists. International cards (debit/credit) are not allowed and they are zero tolerant regarding this. How is it possible that you pay with a german debit card if you do not reside in Germany.
