A very nice restaurant. The staff is very friendly and it's not very busy, considering how delicious the food is. The portions are very large and you'll definitely leave feeling full. We had two non-alcoholic cocktails, which were really delicious.

I highly recommend Sakana. We had made a reservation in advance, as we were a large group. We sat outside because it was summer and very warm. The service was fast and friendly. The drinks arrived promptly, and our food orders were taken right afterward. The order was also set: appetizers and salads, and then everyone's main course. And everything was absolutely delicious. The waitresses kept checking to see if drinks were running low or if anyone needed anything before taking new orders. They weren't pushy, though; they always checked the guests as they passed by. Definitely not our last visit.

Located directly on the Altmarkt (Old Market Square), it offers fairly high prices and large, albeit rather coarsely rolled, sushi portions. The menu offers a wide selection beyond sushi. It's okay for Cottbus—but anyone who has the opportunity to compare their dishes won't be impressed.

A nice sushi shop, but there are also many other dishes. The sushi was very tasty, only the rice was a bit dry. The other dishes also tasted very good. It's a bit narrow at the top, so not particularly suitable if you're there with a small child. Service is very quick and friendly. I always enjoy being here. The cute dog shortens the waiting time. :)

The food was great until I found a hair in the salad. Service was good, I never had the feeling that I wasn't taken care of. Only the service staff ate in the same room as the guests and then pizza that was bought outside. Came across as very unprofessional. Cleanliness was guaranteed and the saltwater aquarium was an eye-catcher.

The food is really great. Always creatively arranged, a real eye-catcher. The service is also very good. I'm deducting a star for the ambience because it's quite tight to get to the toilets upstairs. Everything is very clean.

One huge disappointment. Rice with vegetables and chicken to take away at 11.70 euros, I thought it was pretty expensive. Then she brought the food. I thought they were kidding me. Little rice, no vegetables and then this cheapest of the cheapest pressed meat. This is a real disgrace. Even when asked about it, no apology, no improvement. I can only give everyone the good advice to avoid this restaurant because customers are ripped off here and I didn't get enough and that for 11.70 euros at the Chinese restaurant.

We have eaten sushi here several times. The staff is really nice and helps with the order too. Special requests are also taken into account. We would come here again at any time and order something. Sometimes it is very crowded, so you should take some time.

When we wanted to go in the door to order something to take away we were received quite well, the food and the service were really good. Even the ambience says that we are in a completely different country and no longer in Germany. We liked it very much.

We eat here regularly and have never been disappointed, always tasty, always quick, service unbeatable. There's really nothing to complain about here, it's good value for money.

I've been going to this restaurant for years and love the quality of the fish. No one else in Cottbus can go past this restaurant. The service is attentive and courteous! A recommendation for anyone who loves good food.

Sakana has usually always been pretty good, but last weekend the fish was unfortunately quite muddy. Didn't seem very fresh. Luckily I didn't have any problems afterwards, but I'm used to better things here. So unfortunately there is no longer any value for money.

By far the best sushi we have ever eaten! And we have tried many different sushi restaurants. So good that we drive from Dresden to Cottbus several times a year just to go to Sakana!

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The lady who served me was very kind. The 🍱 I ordered was delicious. One drawback was that they did not accept card payments. I didn't have cash on me, but the server was patient and understanding, allowing me to go to a nearby ATM to withdraw some cash. It would be more convenient if they accepted card payments in the future.

Everything is terrible!! Food and staff

We actually wanted to spontaneously go out for dinner early in the evening (Saturday) without ordering in advance, but it was clear to us that it might not work. But the first thing that bothered me was that you can't pay by card, so I quickly organized money. Then we went into the store where a condition told us to wait a moment because her hands were full, I understand that. Shortly afterwards another condition came (already slightly annoyed) and I asked for a table for four people. She just said if we had reserved... I said no. And it just said that everything was reserved...I pointed out a table that didn't have a reservation...then we were made to feel stupid. I don't have to accept that as a guest. It was basically our first and last visit to this establishment. I can only imagine the 4.6 star rating because the sushi is good, but not because of customer friendliness.

It's a bit loud and warm. The decoration is a bit kitschy. (Candles still wrapped on the shelf) But super nice, huge aquarium and great (very large) cherry blossom decorations. Super nice tables. Unfortunately there is no decent cloakroom (although there is room in the small anteroom) and one corner looks a bit wild. Not particularly nice. There are all sorts of things lying around there, menus, cutlery, etc. Many restaurants have corners like this, but you could put a table or a standing desk with a telephone and drawers at the bottom - then the paying customer won't see it that way... Service is extremely good, very courteous and attentive. The older lady alone is a bit taciturn, which seems unfriendly. She hardly reacts to what is said, everyone else is very nice. The food, especially the noodles and sushi, are delicious. The coriander wasn't too much. Very pleasant. But the most delicious thing were the wontons. (Minced meat) Nice and crispy and spicy. We go out to eat a lot and we already know something and these wontons were the best so far! Drinks: Mango lassi and lychee juice are highly recommended! The food is plentiful and beautifully presented. The drinks come very quickly. Under 2 minutes, even if the restaurant is crazy full. We recommend Sakana!

Very good atmosphere and very calm mood. The food is delicious. The service was very polite and friendly.

We haven't been here in a long time, but my father-in-law recommended it. He was right! First of all, they're the sweetest. They open the door for you, make sure you're happy at your table, and even hold the door open for you when you leave. The food was also excellent. The way it was presented made it even more special. But the taste was also very good. The fried rolls were super fresh, crispy and still hot when we got them. Not something you can say about every sushi place. The spicy salmon roll was tasty, but it could have been spicier for my taste. But then again, I'm probably a little more used to spicy food than the average Joe. I'm definitely going to have sushi here again.

Sehr gemütliches kleines Restaurant.

This was our last visit! After we wanted to redeem two vouchers and were told that we had to redeem one of them by the end of 2023, everything slipped away from us. Despite the closing times due to Corona, no goodwill or accommodation. It's an absolute disgrace. This store is only interested in making a profit. Also the exorbitant prices. We ate at Bays this evening (January 12, 2024) - we will be going there again soon.

Immer sehr freundlicher Service. Auch zu stressigen Tagen immer sehr bemüht. Das Sushi schmeckt dort sehr gut. Komme schon seit Jahren in dieses Restaurant und wurde noch nie enttäuscht.

Große Auswahl, da ist für jeden etwas dabei. Sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und geschmacklich auch spitze.

In diesem Restaurant gibt es das beste Sushi in Cottbus, welches sehr zentral gelegen ist. Das Sushi ist groß, nett aufbereitet und lecker. Die Preise sind erwartbar, der Service könnte etwas freundlicher sein, geht aber trotzdem in Ordnung. Die Inneneinrichtung ist hübsch aufbereitet und das sehr große Aquarium im EG ist ein Highlight. Parkplätze vor Ort gibt es keine, man kann das Auto aber in der Nähe abstellen und vorher noch durch die hübsche Innenstadt flanieren. Eine Tram hält auch direkt vor der Tür.

Das Essen (Sushi) ist sehr lecker, ich finde der Beste in Cottbus

Angenehme Atmosphäre und echt leckeres Essen. Preislich auch absolut in Ordnung. Vor allem zur Mittagszeit (bis ~14:45/15:00 Uhr) kann man durch den 20% Rabatt noch etwas sparen (und eine Suppe und Tee gibts auch noch dazu)! Sind dort nun seit Jahren Kunden, kann ich also nur empfehlen :)

🍣 Essen gut, Ambiente ok, Bedienung verbesserungswürdig! Das Essen war echt lecker, vom Preis her wie bei allen anderen angrenzenden Sushibars. Die Bedienung war nicht die beste. Wir wurden zu oft gefragt ob alles okay ist und ob wir dann noch etwas bestellen wollen. Entweder wollten Sie unbedingt mich etwas verkaufen oder uns loswerden. Wir hatten dann eindringlich erörtert, dass wir nichts mehr bestellen und uns noch ruhig unterhalten wollten. Anbei sei gesagt , wir hatten noch zu trinken. Somit haben wir den Platz auch nicht geblockt für andere Gäste. Es waren auch mehrere freie Plätze noch vorhanden. Die Ambiente ist gut, das Aquarium ein Hingucker und draußen kann man auch sitzen. Es gibt zwei Etagen mit genügend Platz. Leider war aber neben dem Eingang die Kasse und eine Abstellfläche für Stühle und die Speisekarte. Es war ein totales Chaos! Die Stühle standen einfach ohne Struktur da und zwischendurch waren mal hier und mal da paar Speisekarte. Im Bezug auf die Speisekarte möchte ich noch erwähnen, dass diese sehr einfach waren. Die Seiten waren nicht laminiert und fühlten sich schon sehr schmutzig an. Bilder wurden teilweise mit sehr schlechten Bildbearbeitungskompetenzen eingefügt. Preise wurden einfach mit Kugelschreiber überschrieben. Schade dass ich keine Bilder von denen gemacht habe, dass müssen Sie mit eigenen Augen sehen, so unprofessionell! Wichtiger Hinweis: Keine Kartenzahlung möglich! Wie bei den meisten Asiatischen Restaurants ist hier keine Kartenzahlung möglich, nervig für die Kunden aber dafür ein Fürsprecher für mögliche Steuerhinterziehung. Würde ich euch das Lokal empfehlen? NEIN Mein Tipp: Gegenüber, keine 30 Meter, ist das Bay's - Asianfood & Sushi, dort bekommt man auch Sushi, der Service und die Ambiente ist wesentlich besser.

Hier gibt es einfach das allerbeste Sushi. Der Service ist einfach super. Egal wie viel zu tun ist. Es wirkt alles super entspannt. Einrichtung und Ambiente haben einen tollen Charme. Die Speisen haben ein hervorragende Qualität. Wir sind nicht umsonst seit über einem Jahrzent treue Kunden.

Wir waren auf der Suche nach weiteren Sushi Restaurants in Brandenburg. Diese sind ja leider im ländlichen Bereich rar gesät und geschmacklich sehr ähnlich. Deswegen wollten wir das Sakana aufsuchen, da es gute Bewertungen hat. Der Lachs war on-point gegrillt. Das habe ich nur selten erlebt. Genauso perfekt vorbereitet waren die Vorspeisen (Hacao, sommerrollen, tomyamgung). Die Getränke waren sehr lecker und einmalig im Geschmack. Das ingwerchanhda und den black iced tea sind lecker. Der Koch versteht sein Handwerk. Hingegen war das Sushi geschmacklich durchschnittlich, da die Angebote sehr ähnlich waren und es an Vielfalt fehlte. Das Personal ist recht aufdringlich und vermitteln das Gefühl alles schnell zu machen. Es wurde einen kaum Zeit gelassen die Karte zu studieren. Gleichzeitig wirken sie schnell genervt, mit Ausnahme eines Mitarbeiters, der mit viel Humor hantierte. Das Ambiente wirkte gedrungen und eng. Die Tische waren recht klein und luden nicht zum verweilen ein. Alles in allem wirkte es eher so, dass man schnell essen soll, um den Platz wieder frei zu räumen. Obwohl es geschmackstechnisch okay war, werden wir unsere Suche weiter fortsetzen.

Also ich bin froh hier noch nie, so wie manch andere scheinbar, schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht zu haben. Wir waren nun schon 5 mal im Sakana essen und jedes Mal sind wir extrem zufrieden. Die Bedienung ist freundlich, wir warten nie sonderlich lang, die Getränke sind mega und das Essen schmeckt unglaublich gut. Wenn ich könnte words ich jeden Tag dorthin essen gehen!

Wir waren schon öfter im Sakana essen und waren immer zufrieden: das Essen schmeckt uns gut und vor allem das Sushi wird geradezu kunstvoll angerichtet. Da zudem auch andere Speisen auf der Karte stehen, entschieden wir uns mit unseren Kindern zusammen das Restaurant zu besuchen. Das Essen war wie immer lecker, allerdings sind wir sehr enttäuscht, wie wir als Familie von einer der Kellnerinnen behandelt wurden. Bereits beim Ankommen wurde uns nahe gelegt, uns mit den Kindern doch bitte drinnen hinzusetzen und nicht den Außenbereich zu nutzen, obwohl reichlich Platz war und das Wetter perfekt zum draußen sein war. Wir entschieden uns trotzdem für den Außenplatz, was mit einem skeptischen Blick quittiert wurde. Auch anschließend wurden unsere ruhig dasitzenden Kinder von der Bedienung immer wieder skeptisch beäugt und beobachtet oder kommentiert, dass wir auf die Getränke achtgeben sollten, damit die Kinder die Gläser nicht umkippen usw.. Wir fühlten uns dadurch sehr unter Druck gesetzt und es kam natürlich, wie es kommen musste: mein Mann stieß ein Glas um. Dies wurde vom Personal gesehen, aber wir wurden mit Absicht alleine gelassen und mussten behelfsmäßig alleine den Tisch reinigen. Auch die nassen Servierten wurden erst als wir gingen von unserem Tisch mitgenommen. Später wurde nochmal angemerkt, dass man uns ja vorgewarnt hatte und es besser gewusst habe, dass die Kinder Unordnung schaffen würde. Das die Situation durch einen Erwachsenen zustande kam wurde mit einem Augenrollen still kommentiert. Anschließend wurden wir von einer anderen Bedienung betreut, welche uns nicht die ganze Zeit das Gefühl hab, nicht willkommen zu sein. Dennoch werden wir das Restaurant in Zukunft meiden. Schade!

Das Essen vor Ort war lecker und der Service freundlich. Wir hatten noch etwas zum Mitnehmen bestellt und dort wurde leider das Vinaigrette vergessen mitzugeben, so dass die Person zu Hause trockene Nudeln essen musste - sehr enttäuschend!

Man wartet viel zu lange, trotz Reservierung… 1 Stunde hab ich gewartet bis ich etwas zu Trinken bestellen konnte. Bei freundlichen Hinweis, kam nur eine genervte Antwort. Wenn man viel Betrieb hat, muss man trotzdem verantworten können, alle pünktlich zu bedienen!

Sehr gutes Sushi frisch zubereitet und liebevoll angerichtet. Für die vier schmackhaften Teller wurde der Tisch sehr klein. Trotz Stadtfest war spontan ein Tisch zu bekommen. Die Preise für das Essen sind angemesen.
