Saigon River in Berlin

The crispy duck with peanut sauce was really tasty and the service was very friendly. We felt completely at home – clear recommendation!

Had some beautifully made south east Asian dishes from this place. A good amount of spice in the Udon noodle (Spicy) dish but not too much. Definitely a place to try if you haven't yet. This restaurant was in the top 3 places I ate in Berlin on my last trip for sure.

So good my son insisted we had to come back the next day to dine at Saigon River again :)

From the outside it's hard to tell that this place is a restaurant - but that doesn't detract from the quality of the food. The food was served quickly and hot, which we found extremely pleasant. The service was friendly, if a bit hectic. The ambience was less convincing to us: the chairs were quite uncomfortable and the decoration seemed inconsistent and not very harmonious. The dishes were solid and tasty, although without any particular highlights. What should be highlighted, however, is the excellent price-performance ratio. If you're looking for a cheap and hot meal, you should definitely try this restaurant.

The food was delicious, the location was great, within walking distance of the train station, unfortunately the service was quite unfriendly and made it clear to us that we were not welcome 2 hours before closing time.

The Saigon River is absolutely authentic Vietnamese and took me right back to my vacation in Asia. The service was pleasant and very quick - exactly what you would want. The food was fresh, hot and full of flavor. Each bite perfectly captured the diversity of Vietnamese cuisine. If you want to experience a piece of Asia in Berlin, you should definitely stop by here. Absolute recommendation!

The worst soups and Japanese wine I’ve ever had in my life. I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I got very good Sushi at a fair price. Admittedly the pieces could have been a bit more firm, but the taste and service were great.

Highly recommended! The starters (soup and summer rolls) were already convincing. Main course was also great! Prices were reasonable, service was very, very friendly. We'd love to come back!

Unfortunately, Pho Saigon took over 30 minutes to arrive, but it tasted normally good. Unfortunately, service was nothing special (neither negative nor positive). The atmosphere is rather thin (we were outside because it was way too warm inside).

The service is friendly and the iced Vietnamese coffee is delicious. The beef in the beef pho is braised and delicious, but the soup tastes rather monotonous.

Delicious! The crispy chicken is super tasty and really crispy. The sauce (No. 30) has exactly the “right” spiciness for Europeans! The selection of vegetables is great and the vegetables are right on point. If it were in Cologne it would definitely be my new favorite restaurant.

We really enjoyed our visit to the Saigon River. Since we have traveled a lot in Asia, we know great Asian restaurants, but most of them in Germany have little to do with them. Completely different here. The food is traditional and very tasty. We had a peanut vegetable curry and a red curry with duck and spring rolls. It was perfect 😊😎

If you miss spicy soup, go here. Although it is a hassle to walk from Berlin Central Station, you can eat quietly without being hit by people. Bun bo hue

Had lunch yesterday at this family run restaurant. All food freshly cooked and delicious. Mango salad and Prawn stir fry were delicious! Good value for money. Definitely plan to return.

Cheaper than other Vietnamese places. It was tasty, but a little bit monotonous food. Few ingredients, but it was prepared quickly. Staff were friendly. If you want a tasty but slightly cheaper noodle bowl, this is fine.

Jewel near the main train station I do not know where to start… The restaurant was recommended to me by friends, I recently ate here with my partner and we were absolutely thrilled! You can really taste that everything is prepared with love here. On the menu we discovered extraordinary, authentic soups that I have never found in Berlin before. Finally, we ordered some desserts that are a must try! We were also lucky enough to be able to order the new special cocktails that recently made it onto the menu. Absolutely delicious! The service was extremely warm and accommodating! An absolute recommendation! We will be back!

We had excellent summer rolls, chicken pho, which was pretty good (needs more veg/herbs/sprouts but maybe Germans don’t use them?), Thai curry with crispy chicken (not particularly Thai, but very tasty!), and yellow curry (lots of great fresh veg). Great desserts & drinks! Nice atmosphere, and the man who served us was very kind to the kids.

Every single food and drink we ordered has amazing flavours and nice way of plating, food was amazing amazing AMAZING! The only thing even better was the really kind service even though we were there close to their closing time. Big recommendations to this place!

Amazing, authentic Vietnamese food in a lovely restaurant. We have been to Vietnam twice and in all honesty this food was as incredible if not better than some of the best meals we ate while in Vietnam. This is a must if you are staying in the area while in Berlin.

Ein richtig schönes gemütliches Restaurant. Der Service ist erstklassig- super freundlich und schnell. Die Getränke werden schnell gebracht und es wird regelmäßig für Nachschub gesorgt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und heftig heiss 😆. Komme gern wieder.

Ein Restaurant in der Heidestraße in einem noch verbliebenen Altbau. Die Küche ist fantastisch und die Preise sind angemessen. Wir waren schon häufiger da und haben das Essen sehr genossen.

Von außen etwas unscheinbar doch die Einkehr lohnt sich. Das Essen war wirklich lecker und kam frisch und heiß auf den Tisch. Die Sommerrollen so, wie man sie aus Vietnam kennt. Absolute Empfehlung.

Ich habe bisher vielmals Pho Bo gegessen. Aber hier Pho Bo war wirklich hochwertig. Super zarter Rindfleisch(das war echt prima!!) nicht so salzige und tief & reiche Brühe nicht zu weiche oder starke Nudeln..! GERNE WIEDER👍🏻

Richtich gute Vietnamesische Kneipe! Die red curry ente und der tapioka Dessert waren auf jeden Fall ein Highlight! Auch der Pilz Wok und der vietnamesischer Kaffee (iced) ist zum empfehlen!

Good food! We had a green curry, pho and a dessert, all were enjoyable.

We had 2 excellent meals here. Both noodle dishes, wine, 2 beers & Aperol spritz. Approx €55. Best meal so far in a long time.

Köstliches essen, sehr freundlicher Service.

Nettes Lokal mit freundlichem Service. Wir waren zu fünft und es wurde schnell und ohne Probleme ein Tisch dazu geschoben, sauber gemacht und Getränke aufgenommen. Das Essen war hervorragend. Nicht nur mega lecker, sondern auch wunderschön und mit Liebe angerichtet. In der Karte stehen die Grundzutaten mit Gemüse usw gut beschrieben, wahlweise kann man wenn denn man will verschiedenste Fleischsorten, Garnelen, Tofu etc dazu bestellen...muss man aber nicht. Service war zügig und wie schon eingangs gesagt, sehr freundlich. Es scheint ein eher kleines Lokal zu sein, doch der Eindruck trügt. Es gibt noch einen größeren hinteren Teil mit mehr großen Tischen. Terrasse und Außenbereich spiegeln in keinster Weise das wieder, was wir empfunden haben.

Leckeres Essen mit einem Lächeln serviert. Schöne familiäre Atmosphäre. Gerne wieder

Heerlijk en authentiek! Fantastische groene curry. Denk er wel om; een pepertje achter het gerecht, is heel erg scherp als je het niet gewend bent. In Nederland wordt de scherpte aangeduid met 1 tot 3 pepertjes.

Fantastisches Essen. Alles super frisch und knackig. Vietnamesisch viel feiner als thailändisch. Dazu eine super nette Bedienung. Perfekt

Tolle authentische vietnamesische Küche ohne Glutamat 👌 Nach leckeren Sommerrollen und einem Curry mit knuspriger Ente einen guten vietnamesischen Kaffee , alles in top Qualität, versucht es mal selbst 😉✌️

Es gibt veganes Essen und man kann mit Karte zahlen. Netter Service, gut besucht und sehr lecker. Ein ziemlich nettes Restaurant und nicht überteuert. Die veganen Gerichte sind direkt aus der Karte erkennbar.

Ich habe hier schon oft Essen bestellt, da es in der Nähe meiner Arbeit kaum Restaurants gibt. Ich wollte einmal mit einer Freundin vor Ort essen. Wir haben über 1 Stunde auf unser Essen gewartet, was in der Mittagspause gar nicht geht. Das Essen ist gut und es gibt viel Auswahl, aber lieber bestellen, dann ist es in 10 Minuten fertig. Es ist sehr laut vor Ort.

Super lecker, preiswert und ein freundlicher Service. Absolut eine Empfehlung! Update: Auch nach 2 Jahren immer noch ein absoluter Favorit. Sushi gibt es leider nicht mehr und die Preise wurden leicht angepasst. Trotzdem immer noch eine Empfehlung wert. Qualität stimmt nach wie vor und guter Service.

Von Aussen eher unscheinbar aber doch sehr gutes Restaurant Sehr gutes , authentisches vietnamesisches / asiatisches Essen Vorsuppe Kokossuppe mit Garnelen Yellow Curry mit knuspriger Ente als Hauptgericht Wirklich sehr gut , delicious dann noch den vietnamesischen Kaffee hot und iced probiert = super Service sehr gut , aufmerksam und freundlich Klasse ! Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen und werde wiederkommen
