My Son Restaurant in Berlin

This place was packed when I went to it. Not good and nothing special. Quite expansive and only accepts cash. They immediately show you an ATM near by and escort you to it. The pho wasn’t good and barely had much meat in it. Salad rolls were good.

My Son is one of my favorite restaurants in Charlottenburg; I can easily say it offers the best red curry around here, and it might even make it into my top three in Berlin. The pho soup is delicious, and the sushi is fresh. The staff are very kind and helpful, making it an absolute pleasure to dine here. I would definitely recommend it.

How cool! The restaurant is like something out of a Blade Runner movie, but maybe that was the weather. I had a huge soup that was incredibly expensive, but it was delicious. Even though it's easy to pass through, I'm more of a fan of solid things, but it was okay, except for the price.

I've eaten there quite a few times now, and so far everything has been very tasty. Good atmosphere, especially in the evenings. Service is okay; the younger employees are very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the older ones are a bit lazy and lack friendliness. But that often depends on the day.

They don't speak proper German - you have to repeat everything several times and even then there's no guarantee that they'll understand it.. I pre-ordered for my birthday so that I could pick it up on time and bring it home, but they only started making it when I was there to pick it up!! A few weeks later, my girlfriend's family wanted to eat there again, so we pre-ordered to pick it up and it was the same thing all over again! They only started cooking the food when we came to pick it up - they even wrote down the time!! It seems to me as if the restaurant is afraid that no one will come to pick it up, but you can't treat customers who have eaten there several times before like that! I've been there over 20 times, but this was the last time!

The food was first-class – my red curry was fresh, homemade, and absolutely delicious. The portion was absolutely ample, and the service was friendly and attentive. The only drawback: card payments are currently not accepted. Otherwise, however, a very pleasant experience; I'd be happy to return.

A culinary highlight with top-notch service! Our first visit to My Son Restaurant was absolutely thrilled! The service was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and warm – you immediately feel welcome. The ambiance is harmonious and very inviting, perfect for a relaxing atmosphere. The food was simply fantastic: We had the flat rice noodles with deep-fried chicken – wonderfully crispy on the outside, wonderfully juicy and full of flavor on the inside. Every bite was a delight! A place we will definitely visit again. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic, delicious cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere!

Incredibly good – deserves more than 5 stars! We were at My Son Restaurant, and what came to the table wasn't just food – it was a revelation. The rice noodles with chicken? Holy explosion of flavor! I've never eaten such tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned chicken in my entire life. It was as if a culinary god himself had intervened. Every bite was a journey into food nirvana. And then the atmosphere: stylish, warm, authentic – as if you were dining in another world where everything was just right. If I could, I would give it 10 stars. Absolutely recommend it! 🔥

Super friendly service! They often ask you if everything is okay, and your glances are immediately interpreted. I just didn't like the interior so much; everything was a bit dusty, and the pictures could have been hung up instead of just placed on the edges... Unfortunately, there were already dead insects on the windowsill... The food was quite good, a solid 4/5 I'd say. However, it lacked a bit of pizzazz. The price for everything was very reasonable! Overall, I thought the visit to this restaurant was quite good!

Let me start with this remark: This is a small warning for potential customers: We live in Berlin and know some very nice restaurants; still, we regularly try some new places. That is how we went to Myson a couple of days ago - we like and know well the Asian food. A very nice and friendly guy greeted us and showed us to our place and offered a very attentive service. We ate outside, the atmosphere quite appealing. And that was all what was appealing about that place! The rest, the food and the drinks were ok, not more, and we find such restaurant experiences acceptable. However, what we could NOT ACCEPT was what we experienced at the end. As mentioned, the food was pretty much standard: my Wok-meal was not really fresh (the salad) and the Wan tan soup was just ok, not really tasty. The drinks we ordered were also standard, but we could live with that all. However, what we absolutely could not accept was the behaviour of a girl who came to take the money. All the time smiling (looks like friendly), she charged more, without a word of explanation - and we paid, although a little bit perplexed, as the difference was not big. We asked for the bill (which was already printed from the credit card machine), but she ran inside with it saying she was bringing one. (?!) Only to appear some minutes later (we waited) with a receipt which then showed the original, actual price and, on the bottom, in small letters, the plus difference in the height of the tip which she had taken without asking, or without even pointing it out to us. Even at that moment, when she brought the receipt, she neither apologised nor explained but just handed the receipt to us and disappeared immediately. Just like that!, it seems that she thought she could snaffle the money, hoping that we would not notice it (as the sum for the tip was less than 10 %). We did not want to make a fuss, so we just left - but we will NEVER come back AGAIN.

The food was delicious and fresh. I ordered sushi for two people as well as drinks. The staff were friendly and gave us good drink suggestions. I personally found the atmosphere very pleasant. We were there in the late afternoon.

Decent fusion sushi spot with a focus on fried rolls and Vietnamese pho. The fried sushi was indeed the standout dish here, crispy and flavorful. Pho was rich and comforting, the best I've had in Charlottenburg. Service was attentive but a tad slow, but the waitress was really nice and interactive. Prices were fair, with the high-quality fried sushi rolls being great value. A solid choice for a casual meal with an Asian twist. I'd happily return to try more of their signature fried creations and warm up with their excellent pho. The mix of Japanese and Vietnamese cuisines worked well in this cozy, family-run eatery.

I've been to My Son a few times and every time the food was great and the service was very friendly and accommodating. The sushi in particular is beautifully prepared and tastes excellent. The ambience also invites you to linger longer. Highly recommended!! :)

Myson is our favorite restaurant on Kantstraße, even though there are plenty of alternatives since the selection on this street is immense. When dining in, we usually order sushi and have pretty much tried everything on the sushi menu. Our absolute go-to are the baked mini rolls, but you definitely can’t go wrong with the delicious soups, makis, or inside-out rolls either. What we love most is that the sushi always tastes fresh.

Mediocre food, long waiting time, too expensive for the quality

The food was very tasty, the service was okay, but the atmosphere was a bit uncomfortable, probably because the restaurant was very busy and there were a lot of people outside on the street even with the doors open. But you can still grab a quick bite to eat here.

But the best: the food! Every dish was freshly prepared, perfectly seasoned and authentically Vietnamese. 'Creative' sushi pallette combined with regulation SEA fare, the service occasionally charmingly officious - but all around a decent hang:out. If ordering take-away make sure they don't sneak 'historical ' crispy duck into your bag....

I had high expectations for this restaurant but was disappointed by both the food and the service. Unfortunately, the quality of the dishes was far below what you would expect for the price. The meat was tough, the side dishes tasteless. The presentation also left a lot to be desired - the food overall seemed unappealing. The service was also a nuisance. Even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, we had to wait a long time to order and even longer to get our food. The staff didn't seem attentive and seemed unmotivated. Questions were met with a grumpy response and no effort was made to improve the experience. Overall it was a disappointing experience that I will not repeat. There are definitely better alternatives in the area.

I can only rate the food as it was ordered. The ordering and delivery was very quick. However, the No. 54 with shrimp was quite boring and disappointing considering the hefty price of €15.50. 99% pasta, vegetables only means salad & carrot shreds. Comparable to a TO-GO-Asia noodle box at any fast food joint.

We passed the shop by chance and it looked very nice, so we went in. Food was ok, service a bit inexperienced and not very attentive. What bothered us was the pop music that didn't fit the store and ambience at all. Maybe it's more for teenagers

I don't think so, the taste is so standard, in fact it's a little worse. Wantan soup was just a dumpling, sushi was a bit soggy and slightly sour. From a decorative point of view, it's more of a snack bar. Duck was crispy only finished meat which had a rubbery consistency. Unfortunately the price performance doesn't match. Toilets are dirty and there is an extremely smelly toilet smell, which even easily gets into the dining room. Too bad

We were happy and often guests with family and friends, but since our daughter, who can be described as a regular guest, was denied use of the sanitary facilities in an emergency, we won't be coming back

The food was old. It was a record that had been sitting around somewhere for several hours. The skewer was cold and dry. It's hard to get down. The roll was cold and hard. You couldn't bite. Disgusting. And the rest was tasteless. Definitely avoid this restaurant.

If you like Vietnamese food, this is a place you can easily have a meal at. There was a good balance between the salty and strong and a lovely freshness. I had a Pho which did well, it really had a lot of good elements. It could well have been a bit stronger for my taste, but I have also been fed strong food since childhood. The price matched the quality and quantity really well. You won't leave hungry. But you don't have to be in a hurry to eat here, quite a bit of waiting both for ordering and for the food, but they were also quite busy, so it's fair

Came here at the start of May and what a terrible experience. The food was shocking, beef didn't even looked cooked. I also had pina coladas that were warm, I had to request more ice and that didn't make a difference. Had about half my meal, but spent the rest of the evening being sick. 5 times in total. Would not recommend.

The food is very tasty, but the menu has few purely vegetarian dishes. Many dishes with tofu are also served with fish sauce. We didn't try sushi. I would be happy to label vegetarian and vegan dishes. Non-alcoholic cocktails are also good.

First they forgot my order & when it finally arrived it was unfortunately the worst red curry of my life. Didn’t even finish it, it tasted super oily & plain at the same time. Paid full price. The Sushi might be better but I‘m not going to take a chance.

I got a rice noodle salad and sushi to go today and I'm really very disappointed. The sushi (avocado sake) contained barely visible pieces of avocado, and they forgot to add the dressing to my rice noodle salad. When I was here a few months ago and ate there, the same thing happened. The salad had no dressing! I complained about it, whereupon the waitress said I should stir the salad... I was that smart, and of course the salad had no dressing (oh wonder). After waiting for a while, something was finally brought to me. When I gave the store a second chance today, I thought I'd better check again to see if there was any dressing this time, and again the sauce was forgotten!!! That really can't be true. Luckily I noticed it before I got home, because otherwise I would have been pretty annoyed if I had to eat a dry and otherwise tasteless rice noodle salad. Unfortunately, when I got home I discovered that the dressing really only tasted like sugar and was really inedible. The fish sauce and lime saved it a bit, but I really will never visit My Son again nor will I recommend it to anyone. Prices are also pretty hefty (€18 for 6 maki and a portion of rice noodle salad with beef). It's better to invest your money in the other many great restaurants on Kantstrasse.

We had dinner there with friends on Saturday and it was just terrible!!!! Three out of four people discovered long and partially tangled hair in the food shortly after receiving the food. The non-alcoholic cocktails only tasted like tap water with a little lemon. Absolutely not recommended and not worth a star!

Unfortunately I cannot recommend the store. There was a portable heater next to our table that was so hot that my velvet jacket melted where it lightly touched the heater. The staff didn't care at all and blamed me for not hanging the jacket on the coat rack. So be careful with the heating, it can definitely cause even worse damage.
