I was here today, October 28th, and the restaurant is currently being cleared out and is permanently closed. I was told the lease was terminated because the landlord no longer wants a restaurant 😕 Very sad! I hope they find something else on Fuhlsbüttler Straße. Great Vietnamese restaurant! The first Vietnamese restaurant on Fuhlsbüttler Straße, great dishes and fair prices! The appetizers are divine, just like the main courses—simply fantastic, authentic Vietnamese cuisine! Friendly service with lovely indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommended!

We had the daily special, "Korean Fried Chicken"—unfortunately, this was a bad choice, as it wasn't even remotely "Korean" fried chicken, but rather deep-fried chicken with a typical Asian sweet and sour sauce, which has nothing to do with Korean fried chicken. I recommend you go for the Vietnamese dishes instead.

The food was actually quite good, but unfortunately, the poor service completely ruined the experience. Staff was borderline rude. What really shocked me was being asked to pay extra just for a couple of empty plates—something I’ve never encountered before. It felt petty and unprofessional. Sadly, I won’t be returning, no matter how decent the food was.

We were visiting the city and wanted to have a nice dinner and came across this place. The deco of the place is nice, selection of the menu is very good (So many choices ) we ordered a few items and every single dish from starters to mains was delicious. Till today we still talk about the dish we had here. Even though it was full the service was good and quick. Will be back for sure when we are in town again. Price wise was also very reasonable for European standard. Only tip is maybe good to have a English menu for non German speakers.

Super delicious food! Everything was fresh and the portions were generous. It was my first time there, and I have to say I was absolutely thrilled with my meal. The staff was also very friendly—not pushy, but attentive. The value for money was also very good. I definitely recommend it.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have a good experience. While staff initially came to our table, as soon as they saw we were ordering from the Mittagstisch (lunch menu), they told us to go to the counter to order and pay in advance. The staff member who assisted us was unfriendly and didn’t even say thank you. The service overall felt cold and unwelcoming. As for the food, it was just a standard lunch,nothing particularly special. I wouldn’t choose to return.

Extremely friendly service and great value for money.

Everything is prepared incredibly fresh and tastes absolutely delicious; you can immediately taste the quality of the ingredients. The atmosphere is pleasantly quiet, allowing for easy conversation without being too loud. The staff is consistently friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The cleanliness throughout the restaurant is also impeccable. For me, Saigon Café is a true haven of comfort, one I always love to return to. Highly recommended.

We go there regularly at lunchtime. The lunch menu is varied, the food is of high quality and delicious. In the cold season I order peppermint tea with fresh mint and lemongrass with my meal - perfect!

We came here after work on a Friday at around 5 p.m. without a reservation; there were plenty of seats, including outside. The service was quick and friendly, not intrusive. The drinks (St. Vai (lychee); lime soda) and food (grilled salmon on rice noodles; rice noodles with red curry and salmon) were very tasty. However, I deducted points because the menu says cilantro is served with the dishes, but we got arugula. As a Vietnamese, I noticed this immediately, as cilantro strongly influences and defines the flavor. I found it very unfortunate.

I have rarely had such bad Vietnamese food. In terms of taste, it was really at the lowest level and the presentation was unfortunately very poor. I never write negative reviews but this restaurant shocked me.

Great Vietnamese food if you're in the area.

I eat Pho Ga very often. The singature dish from Vietnam. Here I was pleasantly surprised for the first time. The noodles were not long but slightly cut. Like the fine people in Vietnam, you can place the ingredients individually on the spoon and enjoy them. Nothing falls down due to gravity. Like in Hanoi 🙏 Prices are also fair. Unfortunately only cash payment possible 😕

A restaurant on Fuhlsbütteler Straße, parking is subject to a charge and it's a matter of luck. Came here spontaneously after work, free choice of seating, but at 6 p.m. only one table was occupied - it was full when we left. Service reserved but nice and unobtrusive. We had the Memo (€14) and Fitness (€11.50) bowl, both very tasty, large portions and therefore great value for money. There are even vegan dishes. We also had the homemade lemonades, a little too sweet for my taste. The atmosphere is more like it used to be, ok but not as cozy. But we would definitely come back again because of the food.

The tofu bowl with soup was a complete failure: tasteless and overcooked. Only cash payment possible. Why no card payment??? Tofu bowl was bland and not delicious. You can only pay cash which is a bit weird.

The store was almost completely empty on weekdays, and I was forbidden to sit in a free corner. I was only allowed to sit at a single table in the middle of the room. I just wanted to have a quick, quiet meal of soup. Understandable when the store was full or at certain times, but the woman was very rude and told me I wasn't allowed to sit anywhere other than at a single table in the middle of the room, not in a corner. Extremely inhospitable.

We were in the restaurant for the first time. We ate vegetables with beef strips spicy and crispy on vegetables. Both were very delicious. The vegetables were plentiful, crispy and very tasty. The meat was of good quality and was nice and tender. The prices are cheap for the quality we were offered and the portion size was optimal. We will definitely and happily come back.

Wir waren kürzlich zum 2. Mal da und können nur Positives berichten. Die Summer-Rolls + gebackenen Hähnchen waren excellent, dazu gab's leckere Säfte. Der Preis war absolut akzeptabel. Die Bedienungen waren sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir waren sicher nicht zum letzten Mal da. Schade dass man nicht liefern lassen kann.

Ambiance very authentic. Food tastes good. What disappointed me, however, is that they skimped on the wontons in the soup. 2 is 2 too few. You can get 4 pieces everywhere. And for 6.30 euros you can expect that, I think - even if everything has become more expensive.

Everything in good range. Some Vietnamese dishes lack the really authentic herbs that would be good for soups. But otherwise the price/performance is pretty good and there are also a few more unusual dishes to be found.

A very good and small Vietnamese restaurant-café on Fuhlsbüttler Straße. Very attentive service and friendly boss. Uncomplicated and cozy atmosphere. The dishes are always freshly prepared and very aromatic, without glutamate. Plenty of portions and the price is reasonable. The soups are also very tasty for a little hunger in between meals. And my favorite Asian restaurant.

Been there twice - been disappointed twice. Tried different dishes, hardly any ingredients (in the Tom Kha soup two small pieces of chicken, two thin slices of zucchini and eggplant) no comparison to other Asians. Below average for the prices. Spring rolls look and taste like they do on the freezer shelf.

Wir hatten zweimal Gelegenheit, Saigon Cafe zu besuchen und waren beide Male enttäuscht. Beim ersten Besuch fiel uns auf, dass die Gerichte mit etwa 18 € pro Portion teuer waren im Vergleich und dennoch spärliche Zutaten enthielten, als bei anderen. Beim zweiten Besuch entschieden wir uns für eine Kleinigkeit, nämlich eine Kokos Suppe mit Hähnchen, um denen erneut eine Chance zu geben, die jedoch ebenfalls enttäuschend war, da sie kaum Zutaten enthielt. Die Tatsache, dass der Laden keine Kartenzahlung akzeptiert, trägt zusätzlich zur Unzufriedenheit bei. Obwohl viele asiatische Restaurants keine Kartenzahlung akzeptieren – und wir verstehen warum – ;) bieten viele von ihnen dennoch faire Preise und gute Zutaten daher unterstützt man es auch evtl. weniger Steuern zu zahlen. Es ist anzumerken, dass bei asiatischen Gerichten aufgrund der starken Gewürze oft weniger Zutaten benötigt werden, was sich geschmacklich nicht negativ auswirkt. Dennoch sollten Gäste unserer Meinung nach diesem Restaurant fernbleiben, da es nicht nur teuer ist, sondern auch minderwertige und auch sehr wenig Zutaten, verwendet und einen schlechten Service bietet. The Saigon Café has a very good price-performance ratio and is nicely decorated. The dishes are freshly prepared and the vegetables are very crunchy. We particularly liked the homemade drinks and the Pho soup

Once again we ate really well. First a soup with coconut then chicken with red rice and vegetables. Also with coconut. Both are seasoned to the right degree of spiciness and are really tasty.

Schmackhafte Speisen und zuvorkommende Kellnerinnen

Ich gehe hier gerne mit meiner Familie essen. Gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis und die Hausgemachten Getränke empfehle ich sehr.

Das Essen ist immer sehr lecker! Was mich immer wieder enttäuscht ist der Service, man muss die KellnerInnen fast schon überreden einem die Karte zu bringen, wenn man sich gesetzt hat, auch wenn nur 2 Tische besetzt sind. Wenn man sich nicht deutlich bemerkbar macht, wird man keines Blickes gewürdigt. Nachdem man den Hauptgang serviert bekommen hat, sieht man auch niemanden mehr, um z.B. Getränke nachzubestellen, für die Bezahlung muss man dann nach vorne, weil niemandem auffällt, dass man aufgegessen hat.

Das Saigon ist schon seit mehreren Jahren mein Lieblings-Vietnamese. Das Essen ist immer lecker und der Service sehr gut. Am besten gefällt mir, dass es frischen Minz- und Ingwertee gibt. Über die Jahre wurde die Einrichtung immer gemütlicher. Das einzige Manko ist, dass man nur bar zahlen kann.

Ich bin hier regelmäßig: Es gibt ein schönes, veganes Angebot, das durchgehend sehr lecker ist. Schnell geht es meistens auch...

Ich war das erste Mal hier essen. Mangosalat und die VIP Ente mit Teriyaki Sauce. Beides war wirklich gut. Nicht überragend aber echt lecker. Mein Extra Wunsch „Kein Koriander“ wurde anstandslos erfüllt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Ich würde wiederkommen.

Ich hatte heute Abend das Vergnügen, dieses vietnamesische Restaurant zu besuchen, und es war eine großartige Erfahrung. Das Essen war köstlich, frisch und authentisch (Nr. 41 und 43). Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Atmosphäre war gemütlich und einladend. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen und freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch!

Leckeres Essen schön präsentiert. Nicht der übliche Asiakram. Schöne Atmosphäre, nette Bedienung. Leider ist das Essen nicht sehr scharf, auch, wenn man darum bittet.

Zum Glück haben die sich wieder gefangen - war immer gut hier. Es gab aber einmal eine kurze Zeit in der die dann auf einmal 16 Euro für ne pho wollten. Egal - gestern dort wieder gut gegessen - nettes Personal und einfach gut 👍

Toller Laden! Bereits lange auf der Fuhle zu finden. Das Essen schmeckt gut und bietet genug Abwechslung, um öfter einzukehren. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es, weil oft nur BAR-Zahlung angeboten wird. In der heutigen Zeit nicht mehr Up to Date. Dennoch ganz klare Empfehlung.

Das Saigon Café war mal super, hat aber leider stark nachgelassen. Irgendwann hatten sie einmal die Preise hochgesetzt, dann aber wohl realisiert, dass das Einkommensgefüge in Barmbek-Nord nicht zu den neuen Preisen passt, ergo die Preise wieder nach unten angepasst - leider die Qualität aber auch. Heißt, jetzt wird an den Zutaten gespart. Teilweise sind es ‚nur“ vermeintliche Kleinigkeiten, wie z. B. die Soße zu den Sommerrollen (war früher eine andere und soooo lecker), teilweise sind es aber auch die Gerichte als solches, z. B. der Glasnudelsalat. Auch dass man nur bar zahlen kann, ist in der heutigen Zeit ein Unding. Und ja, der Chef ist mega unfreundlich.

Das Restaurant liegt nördlich des Bahnhofs Barmbek. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen. Das Essen war preiswert und lecker. Hinweis: Nur Barzahlung möglich. Gerne wider.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant mit großen Fenstern die viel Licht reinlassen. Das essen ist recht durchschnittlich. Das Pho kann ich leider nicht empfehlen.. besonders die reisnudeln waren übermäßig durch und es fehlte der sonst typische Teller mit Sojasprossen und ähnlichem. Die Besitzer waren freundlich aber auch hier hatte ich das Gefühl das die Verständigung etwas schwierig. Ich fand den Besuch nicht schlecht, würde aber nicht wiederkommen.

Ich war leider enttäuscht mit Pho.

Pouco mudou no Saigon, que nada tem de cafeteria e é um restaurante, a não ser a apresentação do cardápios e os preços inflacionados. As opções de almoço mais em conta passaram a ser apenas duas e com valores próximos a 10 euros. Ainda assim, comida boa e atendimento eficiente.

Hatte Gericht 45a VIT Ente mit roter Curry-Kokos-Soße, scharf für 13.80 € Ente sehr lecker und noch saftig. Das Gemüse war frisch und lecker. Werde den Laden wieder besuchen und andere Gerichte ausprobieren.

It is served fast and hot with fresh and authentic ingredients. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back for sure!

It’s probably one of the best restaurants in the neighbourhood, but they could improve their allergy knowledge a little bit more, especially the allergies on the menu seems wrong sometimes. :)

Angenehmes Ambiente, nette Mitarbeiter, sehr gutes Essen, guter Preis.

Vietnamesisches Restaurant in der Fuhlsbüttler Straße nahe dem Barmbeker Bahnhof. Das Ambiente ist wirklich nett und die Tische sind nicht zu eng aneinander, sodass man etwas Privatsphäre hat. Die Speisekarte ist überschaubar. Wir hatten Pho und wakame salat, was beides gut war, aber uns auch nicht vom Hocker gerissen hat.
