Hanoi Deli in Hamburg

This is my wonderful discovery here. The food comes quickly, but it tastes really good. The service is friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend it. Of course I'll be back 😋😋😋❤️

Never eaten anything so delicious!!

I had the spring rolls and Bun Bo Hue – simply delicious! The spring rolls were crispy, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The Bun Bo Hue was aromatic, nicely spicy, and very authentic – just how you'd want them. 😍 The staff was super nice, attentive, and friendly. You immediately feel welcome. I'll definitely be back – highly recommended for anyone who loves Vietnamese food❤️

The food was beautifully presented, but the crispy duck was very fatty and, in some places, the opposite of crispy. The sauce was very thin, almost like water. We wouldn't eat here again. It was okay, but the value for money wasn't right. In the second photo, you can see all the wobbly fat. Which, of course, I didn't eat. I can't imagine anyone enjoying it.

The Vietnamese mother seemed afraid that we wouldn't pay, so she took a bottle of beer and pointed to the menu to confirm that it was 3 euros. The soup of Vietnamese beef pho doesn't have much beef flavor. It's like a clear soup with a lot of coriander and onions, and it's not sweet. Unless you really want to eat some hot soup noodles, you should lower your expectations a little.

Top bistro in the Europa Passage - it's quick, tastes great and is also relatively cheap. I can really only recommend it!

You are not allowed to sit down if you have only ordered one box, even though there are enough free seats. Peanut sauce costs one extra and generally the prices are quite expensive.

The small lady/ waitress who served us was very unfriendly; she doesn't even smile. They also don't have an english menu which is hard for foreigners like us to order. The food was not that so special.

The ambience is surprisingly ok for a restaurant in the middle of a shopping center. The service was quick and friendly. The food tasted very good. Price-performance ratio is right. If you want something good, cheap and quick to eat during your lunch break or while shopping, this is definitely the right place for you.

I eat Bun Bo Hue and find it delicious. I would like to add Hue fish sauce and side vegetables. The shop also has sour garlic. Anyone who is in Hamburg Central should try it.

There were 3 of us and unfortunately no one enjoyed it. The sauces had a strong chemical taste. The rice didn't taste like anything either. Vegetables were fresh! With the apple plaice you could tell that it was a very cheap juice. After eating I felt like I was going to vomit for a few hours. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

This was our second time at the deli. We liked it the first time and so the choice was made. Unfortunately, they didn't have a very good day. The rolls were good and fresh. At “Chicken on fire” the fire brigade was probably there beforehand. Announced with three chilies, unfortunately a bland plate. In addition, the vegetables were less than lukewarm. Likewise my beer. The waiting time was extremely long - even though there were few guests. —————————- I would like to add: An attempt was made to have my recession removed. I had to prove that I was even a guest there. Sad approach.

Whenever we are in Hamburg, we enjoy eating here once or several times. This time we had the mango salad with fried chicken for the first time. Absolutely delicious! As always, the service was very, very friendly. The prices are very good. The Vietnamese cuisine stands out very positively from the many other offerings in the Europa Passage, which aren't bad either. It's definitely worth coming here to eat, even if you don't buy anything else here.

After purchasing food and getting comfortable at a table my girlfriend and I were told to leave the restaurant and eat somewhere else. This was after not be given the option to dine in the restaurant. This is unacceptable and terrible service. Shame.

I was here on a Saturday and it was well attended. Nevertheless, I was served quickly and had my ordered food on the table after about 15 minutes. It was very tasty, flavorful and fresh. The mango lassi is simply delicious and the price-performance ratio is totally fine for the quality of the food. Only the ambience is a bit busy. But that's to be expected in a large shopping center, especially on a Saturday.

Not knowing Vietnamese cuisine I can't say if they were more or less consistent with the original flavors but the ingredients were fresh and good. Obviously fast and hasty service given that it is located inside a very crowded shopping center at all hours!

Half a star is too much because they simply placed the wrong order and when we complained they freaked out. They kicked us out after we sat on tables. And they just don't know German, so when we talked to them, they didn't understand anything. + disrespectful to customers. The first and last time.

I was happy to take a colleague with me today who is also very picky. Everything was very tasty and especially because everything is so fresh. The homemade mango lassi gives the final point 5 stars. Bad service. We came to Hamburg as a visitor and wanted to grab a little snack after shopping in the Europapassage. While we were waiting for the food, we wanted to sit down and were immediately told that we weren't allowed to do so because the noodle box was to go. So we waited, first I was asked about the sauce for the second time (although I don't think sweet and sour is that difficult to remember, since there were only two other people waiting for their food). As soon as we had the food, we wanted to sit outside the restaurant to eat in peace. There were many tables set up and 80% of them (at least) were free. As soon as we sat down, we were chased away again. Since the box would be “to go”. You just feel completely ripped off. With service like this we definitely won't eat there again.

Anlässlich des Besuchs der Caspar D. Friedrich - Ausstellung landeten wir - mal wieder - im Hanoi Deli in der Europapassage. Das vietnamesische Essen dort ist einfach klasse. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ebenfalls. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Pho und Curry super lecker. Keine Reservierung nötig, immer genug Plätze vorhanden.

The waitress didn't miss the opportunity to point this out to us in a very unfriendly manner. When I replied, asking for understanding, that I had seen the sign, but that our son was very thirsty and that we would eat on site without being disturbed, the lady became cheeky and started talking about it with her colleagues in Vietnamese. We then left the restaurant. Here too the lady became cheeky and abusive again. Incomprehensible!

Eigentlich hatte wir keine hohen Erwartungen, ein schneller Snack, eine kurze Pause, beim Einkaufsbummel. Das Hanoi Deli scheint eine Kette zu sein, jedenfalls gibt es einige Restaurants mit diesem Namen. In der Europa Passage nimmt es doch eine größere Fläche ein, die vielen Tische waren aber gut besetzt und dies völlig zurecht. Entgegen des ersten Eindrucks, der eher eine Kaufhauskantiene vermuten lässt, kann man dort hervorragend essen. Die Ente ist 1A, perfekt auf den Punkt gegart, fein gewürzt, knusprig und zart. Verglichen mit dem was man sonst oft in asiatischen Restaurants aufgetisch bekommt, ein Paradebeispiel dafür, wie gut eine Entenbrust zubereitet werden kann. Der frische und knackige Salat dazu war auch mehr als ich erwartet hatte. Die Gebratenen Nudeln, mit dem Wok-Gemüse waren endlich mal perfekt, der Brokkoli war knackig, nicht roh, die Zwiebeln, der Pak Choi, Zucchini alles exakt auf den Punkt, so wie es sein sollte. Dazu noch eine feine Sauce, in einer extra Schale, wie immer mit ganz viel Speisestärke, aber geschmacklich einwandfrei, auf Soja Basis, ohne den leider oft üblichen Glutamat-Booster. So macht asiatische Küche richtig Spaß. Die 14€ zahle ich gerne für so ein Essen und könnte auch aktuell kein Restaurant nennen, wo ich mehr für mein Geld bekomme.

I paid €7.90 for a tiny box with rice (see photo) chicken and coconut sauce (€6.90+€1). The sauce is very watery and there is not much chicken or vegetables in the already undersized box. Poor price-performance ratio, Uncomfortable atmosphere because there is too much traffic around you.

Even though it was relatively full, we still got a seat in a quiet corner. Our order was taken quite quickly by the very friendly staff. There is enough choice on the menu so there should be something for everyone. The food didn't take long to arrive and we really enjoyed it. Would come here again at any time.
