A small, lovingly run restaurant on the outskirts of Tübingen's city center. Very friendly service and extremely delicious food.

Very tasty, freshly prepared food. Main courses around €19... Starters €5-7.00. Highly recommend the satay skewers and summer rolls. Generally a bit on the expensive side, but for us at 3:40 p.m., it was a great option for a late lunch.

I enjoyed the PHO XAO with crispy duck on an outside table which is actually in a quiet street, with every 2 minutes a car passing by. The meal was served quickly and fresh. The portion was a great enough size for my appetite. Definitely can recommend SaiGon 1994.

The food was good and plentiful, and the prices were fair. The entrance area downstairs is a bit more modern, while the wooden tables upstairs are very worn, and the wall below the window by the radiator was covered in stains. The menus also need to be cleaned. Otherwise, it was okay, and the service was friendly 😊

I happened to be there by chance, and the service was definitely very friendly. The food (I had a tamarind soup and beef with lemongrass) tasted very fresh and certainly wasn't bad, but it wasn't a taste sensation either. If I lived nearby, I'd probably stop by every now and then, but I wouldn't necessarily drive there specifically.

The food is super delicious, with a huge portion for 15 euros. Thai curry with chicken and rice, with lots of chicken. You can sit outside in a quiet location outside the center.

The service left such a good impression with their politeness and friendliness that I have to give this visit a very positive recommendation. Both our dishes were also of higher restaurant quality, especially the Bun Nam Bo was surprisingly filling and tasty for that price. Sadly the Nuoc Mam for it was not powerful and strong enough for our vietnamese likings, BUT this shouldn't be a problem for westerners.

I had a wonderful dinner here and would recommend the restaurant to anyone who appreciates fresh, well-prepared food. The crispy roast duck dish was the highlight—perfectly cooked with wonderfully crispy skin and tender, juicy meat. It was served with a colorful mix of fresh vegetables, chopped peanuts, and a spicy sauce that rounded everything off. The portion was also very generous—absolutely enough to fill you up and satisfy you. We also ordered summer rolls, which were incredibly fresh and light—filled with crunchy vegetables and aromatic herbs. You could really taste the freshness in every bite. We also had the homemade lemonade, which was perfectly balanced—pleasantly sweet and sour, wonderfully refreshing, and ideal for a warm day. The presentation of the dishes was elegant, the portions generous, and the service friendly and attentive. Highly recommended for a relaxed and flavorful meal.

The decor is modern and cozy, but there are few windows, and if you get a seat further back, you're not getting the best seating. The service was friendly. We were there for lunch. We had coconut pho and rice with chicken and peanut sauce – both were incredibly good and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere is clean and simple – I would describe it as an upscale snack bar. The service was very friendly and attentive. We felt completely at home and will go back. It's truly delicious!

A stone's throw from the center of Tübingen, a simple and intimate place, with both external and internal tables. Well-executed and home-style cuisine (obviously Asian-style). Generous portions and low prices. A real and pleasant surprise.

Wow, what a taste experience that was. I had dinner here with my girlfriend last night after her appointment at the university hospital. Luckily I had pre-ordered because it was really packed. A cute little restaurant awaits us. Simply furnished and without any frills. That's how I like it. For starters we had coconut soup and papaya salad. I don't really have to write another dream right now. The main course was pho with beef and stir-fried beef. Both absolutely recommended. I love eating pho, but this was definitely the first time I had an insane amount of beef strips in it. Otherwise I always have to look for them. The pan-fried beef tasted absolutely brilliant. The aromas hit you in your face, it's just total madness. We would like to thank you for this tasty experience and can highly recommend the SaiGon 1994 restaurant. I would like to give more stars, but unfortunately I can only give it five and I rarely wanted to do this in a review. If I ever end up in Tübingen again, I will reserve a table here because there are still a few dishes that I absolutely have to try.

We visited Saigon in Tübingen in 1994 and ate Bun Bo Nam Bo with beef. There were also summer rolls. The food was really excellent – ​​fresh, aromatic and very authentic! We were absolutely impressed by the taste and the portion size was just right. However, we found it a bit irritating that the male waiter smokes right in front of the shop (he smokes really hard haha) and this leaves a less professional impression. It also seemed inappropriate that he conspicuously drinks beer during working hours. This spoiled the otherwise positive atmosphere a little. The food is definitely recommended, but the staff's demeanor could still use some work.

From the outside the restaurant is inconspicuous but it is an absolute recommendation! The map is huge and very varied. As a vegetarian or gluten-free person, you will quickly find what you are looking for. I had the rice noodle salad and loved it! The service was also wonderful and the toilets were clean. I'm already looking forward to my next lunch there! 🥢

While looking for a Phở in Tübingen we ended up at SaiGon. And it was really, really tasty. The wonton starter and the other soup were also delicious. Everything is beautifully prepared and very tasty. Overall, a very nice, clean shop. However, only cash payment possible. Were here again in 2024. Still great and very tasty.

Best Vietnamese restaurant I have been to in Baden-Württemberg.

Unfortunately not as good as in 2023. The fried noodles and also the spring rolls had a lack of flavor. The restaurant was noticeably empty even for a Sunday lunchtime! It's a shame, we'll choose another restaurant next time we travel to Tübingen.

Tasty food with indoor and outdoor seating. Quick and friendly service. They have a huge menu to choose from. Would definitely recommend their prawn and duck dishes. The portions are huge and there's one dish with both chicken and duck! Will gladly visit this place again.

I've been here for two times and every time one of the people in our group called in advance and told them we have 3 people coming but they repeatedly ended up reserving two people's table for us. Everytime they told us they heard "zwei" instead of "drei" when we were there. I wonder how this coincidence could happen for two times in a roll and the people who made the call were even different. We always had to accept the same little table in the corner and somehow managed to have the dinner over a small table. It's definitely not a good experience. A little bit context: I've lived in Germany for three years and booked countless times in restaurants but no other places had mixed up "zwei" and "drei". Given the other comments, I have to suspect they are indeed racists because they really value white people's dining experience way more than Asians.

The food was really tasty, had the New Zealand mussels as a starter and Pho Ha Noi as the main course. I am very enthusiastic about the freshness of the ingredients and the taste experience. The homemade lime lemonade is also recommended. The service was also very nice and courteous.

The Vietnamese food here is just okay, but very overpriced. A mediocre Pho costs around 15 euros. The service from the lady is TERRIBLE. We have been there several times, always receiving eye rolling and impatient service. Sadly there are not so many Asian food options in Tübingen. Otherwise we would never go there again. Sigh.. Btw, she's also not friendly to our dog, but maybe it's out of fear. The dogs are not allowed inside, so we haven't been there since October when there are no longer outside tables.

The waitress there is awful, impatient, and extremely racist towards Asian(Chinese) customers, even though she herself is a Vietnamese.🤮🤮🤮🤮 Just because we politely asked 2 more spoon, she rolled her eyes like she's having multiple orga-sms, then showed her most flattery smile and courtesy to the guest next us, of course, they are white 😜. I wish people be more aware of this and hopefully the restaurant close soon. The guy waiter is friendly and fine. People really differ. Just to be fair👌🏻.

Sehr leckeres asiatisches Essen, gibt eine große Auswahl und der Service ist immer freundlich. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut. Man sollte am besten vorher reservieren um einen Platz zu bekommen.

Gutes vietnamesisches Restaurant. Essen durchschnittlich gut (hatte nur Vorspeisen) und Ambiente okay. Fehlte irgendwie Musik im Hintergrund. Lieber oben sitzen als unten im Türbereich. Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich! Kann man mal hin, wenn man Lust auf Vietnamesisch hat. Leckerer vietnamesischer Kaffee!
