Ich war vor Kurzem im Safran Indian Urban Food in Ingolstadt und habe das neue Pani Puri probiert – einfach unglaublich lecker! 😍 Die Puris waren super knusprig, die Füllung perfekt gewürzt und das würzige Wasser hatte einen authentischen Geschmack. So etwas findet man nur selten. Dieses neue Gericht muss wirklich jeder unbedingt probieren! Der Service war freundlich, das Restaurant modern und das Essen frisch zubereitet. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder. Absolute Empfehlung!❤️

Online Bestellung: Linsensuppe hatte gar kein Geschmack:( musste sehr viel Salz reintun bis man was gespürt hat. Bhaji Onion- von andere Indisches Restaurant mag ich die sehr, aber es war zu weich, grob geschnitten und auch geschmacklos. Garnelen in Sosse mit Reis - war ganz ok, aber auch nachwürzend. Lieferung war schnell, Portionen sind Groß.

Absolut unprofessionelles Verhalten. Er fing an zu streiten, als ich ihn bat, etwas anderes zu bestellen, wurde dann aggressiv und schlug uns. Anschließend rief er mich immer wieder an. Das Essen war mittelmäßig. Gehen Sie bloß nicht in dieses Restaurant!

Das Essen hier ist wirklich lecker und die Preise sind überschaubar! Es ist auch Halal. Die Portionen sind außerdem sehr groß, also sollte man das definitiv drauf achten nicht zu viel zu bestellen.

Ich habe zweimal liefern lassen und einmal dort gegessen. Das Essen ist super, nicht das typische indische Essen. Ich kann nur weiterempfehlen. PS: fried rice ist mega

Sehr leckeres Essen und super nettes Personal.

Wir waren heute Abend zum ersten Mal im Safran und hatten uns auf ein besonders authentisches und qualitativ hochwertiges indisches Erlebnis gefreut. Leider wurden unsere Erwartungen insgesamt nicht ganz erfüllt. Wir haben uns für das Royal-Menü für zwei Personen entschieden. Die einzelnen Gänge wirkten jedoch eher schlicht und wenig abwechslungsreich. Die Linsensuppe empfanden wir als recht mild und wenig gewürzt. Es folgte ein Vorspeisenteller mit panierten Kartoffel-, Blumenkohl- und Auberginenstücken, begleitet von einigen Dips, die insgesamt etwas lieblos portioniert wirkten. Hier hätten wir uns mehr Vielfalt und Raffinesse gewünscht. Der Hauptgang – ein Fleischgericht sowie ein veganes Gericht mit Kartoffeln und Gemüse – war solide zubereitet und geschmacklich ansprechend. Dennoch haben wir vergleichbare Gerichte in anderen indischen Restaurants bereits differenzierter und aromatischer erlebt. Auch der Service ließ aus unserer Sicht etwas Luft nach oben. Während unseres Aufenthalts kam nur selten jemand aktiv an unseren Tisch, um nachzufragen, ob alles in Ordnung ist oder ob wir noch Wünsche haben. Wir mussten mehrfach selbst auf uns aufmerksam machen. Unser Fazit: Insgesamt ein ordentlicher, aber nicht herausragender Besuch. Wir sind überzeugt, dass hier noch Potenzial besteht, insbesondere im Hinblick auf Geschmackstiefe, Vielfalt und Servicequalität. Vielen Dank dennoch für den Abend und weiterhin alles Gute für Ihr Team.

Meiner Meinung nach ist das Essen Geschmackssache – zu scharf und würzig. Aber es ist einen Versuch wert.

Wir haben dort zu Mittag gegessen. Es war sättigend und lecker. Wir waren zufrieden.

Sie haben sich Zeit für die Zubereitung genommen, was in indischen Restaurants eher ungewöhnlich ist. Das Ergebnis war ein hervorragendes indisches Essen, elegant serviert. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder, wenn ich wieder in dieser Gegend bin. Es ist nicht einmal teuer!

Tolles Restaurant mit entspannter Stimmung. Wir waren zu zweit um die Mittagszeit und es gab 1,5 Seiten Optionen für ein Mittagsmenü mit Getränk und Naan für 14,90€. Große Empfehlung!!

Everything is absolutely perfect here! Very good food, hot and wonderfully delicately seasoned! The lunch menu is hard to beat in terms of value for money! The food came quickly and was beautifully presented. We were a large group and got a free naan and a shot of chai. The chai is also delicious, by the way! The staff is super friendly and accommodating, and everything is clean and comfortable. I'll definitely be back!😘

I ordered the duck with cream and mango sauce. There was little meat in it, but a lot of sauce. The meat was too dry on one side. Probably cooked too long or reheated from the day before. The other side had thick, cooked (not fried) duck skin. It tasted and smelled disgusting. The sauce had no trace of salt, just sweet and neutral. The drinks were too thin. The raspberry lemonade wasn't sweet and smelled of nothing. At the end, we were served tea. It was supposed to be seasoned with Indian spices. But here, too, there was no smell of that. Never again!

Very nice little restaurant with friendly staff. We had lunch menu, mango duck with basmati rice, small salad. It was a big portion and tasty. At the end we got spicy coffee.

I have ordered today online MALAI KOFTA and mentioned to put extra KOFTAS and will pay extra for it! He has given me 2 portions instead of 1! Wonderful taste! Great service! Only can recommend! Best regards

Delicious Indian food, beautifully presented, and spicy on request. The portion size is good, although a vegan dressing would be helpful for a vegan dish.

Butter chicken and garlic naan bread. It was delivered quickly and the flavor was really solid, although the bread was a bit soggy. But otherwise, it's really good for a Sunday evening delivery service.

Great place for a Indian meal while you are staying in Ingolstadt

Honestly, I didn’t really enjoy their chicken biryani. It didn’t taste like biryani at all, and serving it in a bowl felt odd. On the positive side, the service was really nice—friendly and welcoming staff. I wish I had tried one of their specialty dishes instead. Also, I found the meal a bit pricey for what it was.

I've tried a lot of different foods, but there really isn't anything like this. 100% delicious, friendly service, highly recommended. :))

service was so good, one thing we liked the most is that they served a glass of water to each of us after we ordered the food. In any other indian restaurant we had to buy water, but it's so good that they didn't charge here. And of course, food was also good and affordable.

Urban Indian Street Food very tasty! Das Safran ist eines der drei besten indischen Restaurants in Ingolstadt. Die Speisen sind sehr vielfältig, wie man es vom Inder kennt, sehr ansprechend angerichtet und geschmackvoll. Teilweise sind die Marinaden allerdings etwas salzlastig. Besonders zu empfehlen sind die Tandoori Spezialitäten. Das Personal ist freundlich, die Wartezeit überschaubar und zur Rechnung gibts immer noch ein Glas Chaitee dazu.

Indian food An overall tasty place, ideal to enjoy authentic and well-prepared dishes. I particularly liked the *coconut and chicken curry*, the *curry soups* and the very plain rice, I think that's how it should be to go with the curry, considerable quality. However, the *mutton curry* did not meet my expectations: the meat was too tough and the preparation was not to my taste, so I cannot recommend it. The atmosphere is cozy, the premises are clean and the service was quick and friendly. The waiter who served us was willing to answer any questions about the menu. Plus, the *chocolate milk* detail at the end was a sweet touch that completed the experience. I would return to explore more options on the menu, although I would avoid the lamb - perfect for curry lovers and those looking for service in a friendly environment! 🍛✨

The Safran Indian Restaurant is an absolute insider tip for lovers of Indian cuisine! The dishes are excellently seasoned, authentic and simply delicious in terms of taste. I particularly loved the butter chicken and the freshly baked naan bread. The service is extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also very pleasant – stylishly furnished and cozy. If you are looking for an authentic Indian taste experience, you have come to the right place. Nice in the city center, but parking is difficult

Advertises online with a lunch menu from Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. But then says that it doesn't exist on Saturdays. Not good when everyone chooses to eat and then you have to look for an alternative.

Das Safran bietet sehr leckeres, indisches Essen. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Tandori-Gerichte sind besonders zu empfehlen. Da die Portionen inklusive Reis ordentlich sind sollte man nicht zu viele Vorspeisen bestellen. Wir kommen hier gern zum Mittagessen mit Familie oder Freunden.

Now, about the taste: The pizza tasted like a frozen pizza, advertised at €2, which, incidentally, was warmed up on a living room heater. But the staff was really really nice! Maybe I just got a “Monday pizza”! Because of the really nice and friendly service, I will still treat myself to one a second time. The prices are as usual.

The best Indian restaurant in Ingolstadt. The staff is very nice and accommodating, especially the service. Work is quick as we have never had to wait long for our food. We recommend Butter Chicken and Chicken Korma, it tastes delicious and fresh every time you visit. At the end there is always a small, delicious cup of chai latte on the house.

The food is very good, the fact that the waitress only knows the number but not the name of the dish when serving it is actually not okay with many guests. So every guest has to remember the number of the dish when ordering. Paying at the extra-high counter was very uncomfortable.

The food was below par and didn't look appetising. We ordered Tandoori Chicken and was served on huge load of potatoes, aubergine and zucchini (never seen Tandoori chicken being served with vegetables) and also chicken was very old and had a foul taste. The Chicken soup is just the curry, better to skip that section. Overall, very disappointed with the food. Definitely not authentic.

This was without competition the best Indian food experience we've ever had. The decor of the restaurant is tasteful and beautiful, and the background music in the speakers consists of Indian traditional music which is not too loud and adds to the cosy and authentic atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is absolutely delicious, excellently prepared with many different flavours and served in a visually pleasing manner. The complimentary cups of masala chai which we received at the end of the meal was a nice extra touch.
