Safi Food in Hamburg

My boyfriend and I spontaneously stopped by Safifood on Sunday – and it was a wonderful surprise! The place looks rather unassuming from the outside, but the food is truly amazing. We had a kind of baguette that was absolutely delicious. We'd especially like to mention the friendly gentleman who served us – you immediately feel welcome. We'll definitely be back!

The food was cold, and a doner kebab was missing from the order. The staff barely understood the problem over the phone.

I always eat a falafel durum with grilled vegetables. The durum is filled generously with every order, and the grilled vegetables give it a very special, delicious flavor. Safi Food is my favorite place for that. Plus, the staff is always very friendly and attentive.

I can't comment on the ambiance, we ate in the car, but the kebab is solid, and if you want, you can also get fried vegetables on top. I have to say the jalapeños and olives, along with the garlic and avocado sauce, are a nice change from the standard kebab.

The food tastes delicious, but paying €14 for a casserole meal and getting so little isn't nice. I left hungry.

I would advise anyone not to order a kebab/dürum there. The bread is soggy so quickly. Spices, jalapenos and olives in a kebab? Unusual but ok... However, I didn't like this combination. I think the sandwiches could be pretty good.. Maybe I'll give them another chance..

Unfortunately I was very disappointed a second time, it smells unpleasant and it just tastes like fat and oil. Sandwich was eaten in the car but all the clothes were full because it all leaked out. So unfortunately not a recommendation!

The sandwiches from Safi Food are very tasty and we can only recommend them. The employees are always very friendly, service is quick and payment by card is possible.

The kebab was really very good and a very nice service!

On the recommendation of a friend, I visited this location and ordered Spicy Chicken with Ayran. Positive: Nice owner. Negative: Ambience more like a snack bar. Premises were also cold. The Spicy Chicken Sandwich didn't taste like anything. Hardly any seasoning, just sauce and salad. Didn't blow me away at all. Won't necessarily try again.

Dürum mixed with rotisserie meat was really good. Vegetables could have been a bit fresher for €7 you'll be very full.

We eat at Safi again and again and have been satisfied every time. The prices are significantly cheaper compared to other restaurateurs and the quality and taste are also great!

My husband and I looked for a good kebab in our area for a long time - and then found Safi - simply much better than a kebab! The meat is without any pieces of fat, well grilled and thinly sliced, which is unfortunately rare. The staff is always friendly and the prices are really fair!

Without further ado: I always eat just one thing here and I get 5 stars for it. Safi Beef. Extremely delicious. It's like a sub with kebab meat, nicely baked with cheese and all sorts of vegetables/sauces of your choice. Clear recommendation and after the renovation the ambience has also become more attractive. The owner always has a smile for you, which is what sets a store apart these days.

Almost every time I'm in Wandsbek, I feel the urge to go to "Safi" and eat the southern Persian dish "Bandari". Since there is an enormous number of passing customers, the food is generally very fresh and the combination of delicious sauces and salads makes the meal a culinary experience. The service is extremely friendly and orders are usually ready in no time. If you want to eat fresh, fast, tasty and cheap, this is the place for you. Can recommend the store without reservation.🍀

I've loved eating here for years. Great staff, always friendly, quick and generous! I love the halal alternative to Subway with the sandwiches and the many sauces bring new variations with every order. In terms of price/performance there isn't much to complain about. Clear recommendation!

I didn't like the sandwich at all. Chicken meat didn't taste like anything. Cheap black colored olives were included. Overall the sandwich just had no taste at all. First and last time I eat there.

I was craving falafel and looked for a shop nearby. I was convinced to try Safi when I read a post that said the falafel at Safi was made fresh. I decided on a Falafel Dürum. I'm thrilled :) the garlic sauce was very tasty, the falafel tasted very good and I was surprised that additional vegetables (carrots, potatoes, etc.) also come into the Dürum. Everything perfect! Will eat here again. I can't say much about the ambience because I ordered my food to take away. Service was great, super friendly.

As a Berliner, I was very hungry and critical of Hamburg kebabs: but the Dürüm felt like it weighed 1kg, mixed meat and - even if it didn't necessarily include olives, 10 different sauces or something like that - it tasted really, really good. 7.50 is completely ok for the crusher according to current conditions. AND the kebab man was really super friendly. Even card payment. Top!

Unfortunately I didn't like the kebab at all. There is chicken and a vegan skewer. I chose the chicken kebab with everything for €7. Since they also have Subway-style baguettes, there was a lot more salad. And so black olives, corn and jalapeños ended up on the kebab. The jalapeños were the best of all. The meat was really completely tasteless and bland. Like the whole kebab. Lots of salad and sauces, so much so that the whole bread broke while I was eating it. Unfortunately they didn't have Ayran, which was on the menu. The service was friendly, there was a small table with 3 chairs outside in front of the shop. I won't try the kebab again. Maybe a baguette at some point, even if the sauces are probably the main part.

Safi is a great guy and makes very tasty Safis. We really enjoy going there during our lunch break. We just have to come in and he already knows exactly what we want. I can only recommend.

Exceptionally good bread here. We also packed the sandwich as full as it could possibly be. It tasted fantastic. We were served very friendly. Unfortunately I don't live in Hamburg and will rarely be able to go there. But I will make sure to stop by there on my next visit ❤️

1/3 of a normal kebab from the past is sold here as a kebab plate. Sauces are greasy, bought ready-made and there isn't even tzatziki. Never again.

I only tried Falafel Safi and it was simply delicious. The falafels were freshly made and were very hot. I will definitely eat here again.

I've never had pickles, olives and corn in a kebab before; Of course that's a matter of taste, but regardless of that, the kebab menu tasted very good and the portion was generous.

Doner doesn't taste like sauces from Aldi. Doner bread feels thin as paper and you have to wait a long time

I finally got to this store after a long awaited wait. A shop in my beloved Eilbek area: TOP! TOP! TOP!!! Super underrated store that you don't even have on your radar. The ambience is simply furnished, there is enough space to sit and the menu is varied. The best seller is the “Safi Sandwich”. It's definitely comparable in appearance to a Subway sandwich, but what can I say!? The taste is simply GREAT. This was shockingly well done. I recommend the Spicy Chicken Safi: MEGA! 🤯 You can also optionally add grilled vegetables to it! The selection of sauces is also large: from avocado to chili sauce. The service was friendly and you can also pay with an EC card! I will come back. Solid value for money, you'll be full and there's a lot on offer. The portion of the sandwich was generous. Thank you! 🙏🏼

Es ist immer wieder eine Geschmacksexplosion. Ich empfehle sehr den sogenannten „Safi“. Es ist einfach etwas besonderes. Dieses Brot, dieses Fleisch, einfach unglaublich. Man hat eine Auswahl an Gemüse die jeden glücklich machen kann. Dieser Laden sollte Kulturerbe Deutschlands werden. Maxi war leider erst einige male dort, ist jedoch sehr begeistert
