Everything was great, the staff was polite, and the beer was always cold ;) By the way, it's a really nice beer garden! Open seating, a relaxed atmosphere, and just the right place to have a drink with friends and end the evening in a relaxed atmosphere.

Today, January 30, 2026, I wanted to go to "Zum Kumpel" with my brother for dinner at 3:30 PM. However, the waitress behind the bar made it very clear that there were too many guests and she couldn't prepare any more food in the kitchen. Other waitresses manage it, she said. Yes, there were guests, but not so many that she was trying to get rid of people who wanted to eat there. This was the second time I've left the restaurant without getting anything to eat, and it was with the same waitress. The kitchen used to be staffed all the time, but apparently, they weren't in the mood to move any faster. It seems they only serve food at certain times now. They should at least make it known that the kitchen is closed between 2 pm and 5 pm, so guests can save themselves the trip. This never happened at the original "Zum Kumpel" – guests never got served food. The current owner knows this as well as I do, since she used to work there herself as a waitress. Eating at Zum Kumpel probably won't be my favorite place in the future, but thankfully there are other options. Unfortunately, in my opinion, more stars aren't appropriate. The owner should think about that; there are certainly staff members who are more efficient and don't let their guests leave empty-handed.

Best kebab in Saarland, in my opinion. Homemade, freshly baked flatbread, lean meat. The sauce is perfect. I've been coming here since 1993. Thank you for the delicious meal.
