We have been there a few times and could only recommend the brewery with its cuisine! Unfortunately for us the food leaves more and more to be desired. Chicken breast with bavette: the meat is very dry, but the pasta with tomato sauce is so soupy that the taste is more like packet soup with too much water. My Cordon Bleu was filled with melted cheese instead of the mountain cheese mentioned on the menu, which I didn't find tasty at all as every bite stuck to my teeth. The fries were lukewarm and limp and not really seasoned. No more comparison to earlier times!! But the service staff is quick and friendly. No matter what we have eaten or drunk there so far, it has always been great! But now I can no longer fully recommend it. Too bad!

When the weather was nice, I didn't know where you could eat better, the food was a dream. The waitresses were always present and very communicative. And when the weather is nice, the terrace is unbeatable. Always happy ❤️

Full marks for this great restaurant. Nice atmosphere with the great beer garden. The food was very tasty and the portions were generous. First class service, very nice and friendly. We can only recommend it.

First of all, if you could give minus stars, I would give them. This has never happened to me before. We were at the brewery at the weekend with a group of around 25 people including children. The order for the drinks was taken quickly. Some drinks arrived after about 10 minutes. But after 30 minutes all the drinks were still not there, including drinks for the children, we asked the staff in a friendly manner and were rudely told off that there was nothing There was also some bonking. But at least half of the drinks were still missing and that at 30 degrees. Nobody came to order food, after 45 minutes we asked again. Why are tables that were occupied after us served with food and drink? The conditions are totally unfriendly: small tables are preferred and children are only human. This audacity made us not eat anything there. We ordered the bill for the drinks that had come and left. I've never experienced anything like this before. You're probably not a welcome guest there in the brewery. Unfriendly, inflexible and totally rude. It's a shame.

We had 1x spare ribs with salad and potato wedges, 1x currywurst with fries, 15 minutes wait until you get attention from the staff. The spare ribs came after 5 minutes while the currywurst came 15 minutes later and the currywurst was inedible, as was the side salad from the spare ribs. You had to talk to the staff for 15 minutes until they took 1 drink off the bill. In addition, the staff seems to be very exhausted and the unfriendly people from the basement only came late rather than never - that's probably a new motto.

Overpriced rude staff not recommended. After waiting for 1 hour we left the restaurant without food.

Everything was fine and the service was nice, and the food was okay too.

We had dinner there yesterday on a Sunday with 8 people. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. Two people had a hair on their plate and one person had one of the two schnitzels that wasn't cooked through but was still raw. It wasn't particularly tasty either, I don't know exactly, but the schnitzel was reminiscent of frozen food. Neither the mushroom cream nor the pepper sauce tasted good. Conclusion for us was, once and never again

Terrible, rude service, comprehensive failure to organise the place for Saturday night resulting in utter chaos. Tables competing for the attention of waiting staff that looked petrified to engage the customers, seeking holes I n the ground to swallow them. Never managed to order as incompetent management was more interested in perfecting dismissive hand gestures.

Interior design absolutely harmonious, rustic, hearty. Beer garden also ok, but uncomfortable chairs. Service friendly, does her best. Recommendation: Brewery goulash with fried potatoes. Very tasty, a lot for a reasonable price.

After visiting the Garden of the Senses, we wanted to have dinner with 5 people. Even without a reservation, we were quickly offered two tables to choose from. The order was quick and the food didn't take long either. We all enjoyed it. Price performance was top.

There is very good food in the beer garden in Saarfürst. The home-brewed beer is also tasty. 🍺 I have rarely eaten such a delicious rump steak with fresh champions and onions with fried potatoes and very tasty princess beans. My husband also really enjoyed the brewer's goulash. The portions were barely manageable. However, you have to bring some time with you during peak times. The atmosphere is quite nice in the beer garden and in the inn. Unfortunately the wooden chairs have no cushions and are therefore quite hard outside. The look into the The small marina is nice, but the path to the brewery could be better maintained. That's probably a matter for the city.

The staff is super friendly. Had burgers 🍔 weren't bad but not tasty either. I also had Cordon Bleu there before which was very tasty. Same with the salad

Absolut enttäuschendes Essen. Es ist einfach Usus, dass Fleisch nicht in die Fritteuse kommt, und somit keine Schnitzel oder Cordon-bleu. Absolut trocken, hart und die Panade mit Fett getränkt. Ungenießbar! Die Pommes wiederum an der Fritteuse bestimmt vorbei gelaufen. Ich erwarte von einem Brauhause hier bessere Handwerkskunst.

Disastrous cheapest frozen food, I will never do it again as a family to eat there on a Sunday. In a brewery I expect a fresh schnitzel and not such impudence. It's a real shame, the atmosphere could be more, only the waiter was very friendly and unfortunately helpless

Absolutely disappointing food. It is simply common practice that meat does not go into the deep fryer, and therefore no schnitzel or cordon bleu. Absolutely dry, hard and the breading soaked in fat. Inedible! The fries definitely passed the deep fryer. I expect better craftsmanship from a brewery here.

Very good experience, the dishes are generous, super good and the price is right. Beer brewed on site. Nice terrace and huge service room inside on 2 floors.

Unfortunately my visit to this restaurant was a bitter disappointment. The schnitzel was gray and completely inedible. The sauce tasted just as bad and made the overall impression even worse. Even the salad couldn't help - it was anything but fresh and had an unpleasant aftertaste. It's a shame, we used to really enjoy eating here.

Great food but not only that, but also great waiters, there were six of us there and the waiter cleared all of our plates by himself, he was really likeable and deserved a lot of praise

The food was very tasty, but the service left a lot to be desired. When we arrived we were neither greeted nor acknowledged. When we asked for a table, we received no answer and were simply left standing - four adults and two children. Finally we found a place ourselves as there was no table available for such a number of people. We asked a gentleman who was sitting alone at a table of six if he could move to a smaller table. He did this immediately and very kindly. The service, however, was completely inappropriate.

Went to this beautiful brewery for dinner and discovered spareribs on the menu. Ordered and regretted. The ribs are not completely grilled, they are probably cooked sous vide and are not comparable to grilled ones. The coleslaw was good though. My companion had a cordon bleu, which was nice and thin and tasty. I would recommend the Brauhaus, but not the ribs.

Very tasty, especially the beer

Kalimera. Before our great appearance at the wonderful traditional old town festival in the beautiful Saarland state capital Saarbrücken, we were spontaneous guests today under chestnuts in this romantic system culinary temple at the idyllic boat harbor. The honestly calculated dishes were rich and tasty. The pork brewer's goulash with dark beer sauce from the soup tureen with a specially ordered side salad is remarkable. Also the breadless chicken salad, a delight. The sample beers were extremely polite, provided by the young, professional waitress. Successful, all in all. A worthwhile trip to the commercial area on the outskirts of town.

I can't recommend the spare ribs at all, they were at least a day old, completely cold, dried out and completely different than the pictures you see here. Service wasn't the best either, the waiter was quite slow and unfriendly. It was OK but definitely not recommended for the price range!

Despite the beautiful house and the mostly nice staff, unfortunately only 2 stars. I've been there every year since the brewery opened and on my last visit I noticed that the quality and appearance of the food on offer had deteriorated. From my point of view, the schnitzels were from a large-scale production, perhaps even pressed meat. The fried potatoes with the Lyoner were cold, the spare ribs were only lightly grilled and not tasty. ... the beer, on the other hand, is great😀 Sorry for the review. I hope the food will improve for the beautiful brewery.

Rather disappointed with the dishes. When you go to Germany to eat a breaded escalope with mushrooms you expect to find mushrooms... the amount of sauce was ridiculous and no mushrooms. Our waitress was absolutely adorable, hence the 5 stars, but I would like to point out that the others who brought the dishes to the table were in plate-throwing mode...and that's not an exaggeration, in short...

Our food (salad and Lyoner) was very good, a little smaller than before but enough to fill even good eaters. The staff was friendly and accommodating and our dog was also allowed to come along.

We were at the brewery with 11 people on June 16, 2024. Firstly, it should be mentioned that a nice, large table was reserved for us. The food came without a long wait, even though we ordered a la carte. Drinks were also served. The staff is very friendly and competent. The various meals were very good and more than sufficient. The restaurant was very busy but it was very pleasant. We will be back!!! Many thanks to the serving staff and to the “kitchen” and the management of the restaurant.

Bei unserem Besuch war das Brauhaus nahezu voll besetzt. Die freundliche Bedienung konnte uns dennoch einen Platz bei einer anderen Besuchergruppe anbieten. Die Auswahl an Bier und Speisen liess nichts zu wünschen übrig. Das Essen kam in ansprechender Zeit und war lecker. Da die Portionen üppig bemessen waren musste auf eine Nachspeise verzichtet werden. So stell ich mir das Essen nach einer Tageswanderung in einem Brauhaus vor.

Sfeervolle brouwerij met een prima kaart en schappelijke prijzen. Kwaliteit van het eten is een dikke voldoende en worden gerechten in rap tempo geserveerd. Wil je wat tijd tussen de gerechten door, geef dat dan even aan.

We were herded into a side room for a birthday party. The acoustics there are so bad that communication with each other was terrible. The service wasn't special.

We stopped by the MZG brewery on a beautiful sunny day; I haven't been there for a few years. Unfortunately we were bitterly disappointed, the service was, well let's just say ok, but that was about it. For dinner we had schnitzel with fries and salad. The salad had to be ordered separately and cost €5, that's where it started. The salad itself was tasty, but the portion was very small. When the two mini schnitzels arrived, the joy quickly disappeared! Leftovers of pressed schnitzel (tough as leather) from the Kantine brand prepared in the deep fryer, accompanied by a handful of fries and a sauce from the tetrapak for (€16.50). We had left around €70 for something that we could have gotten at any chip shop for around €30. There were times when the food was fresh and tasty and the service was top notch. Unfortunately, that felt like it was in the last century. It's a shame, even McDonald's would have been more worth it, and that's saying something.

We went to the brewery on the holiday at around 2:30 p.m. We were lucky and got a table. The service was extremely nice and polite. The food was very tasty, maybe not at star level, but great for such a location. The Saarland beer is very good and tastes... We will definitely come back and can only recommend it!

We've been coming to the Saarfürst Brauhaus for years and like to drive all the way to do it. Luckily we had reserved and there were hardly any tables left. I always take the Obazert, you can't get it anywhere here and if it's as tasty as in Bavaria, what more could you want. My husband had the Brauhaus goulash, which was very tasty and plentiful. We're looking forward to next time

Very good service from the warm waiter, really personable and attentive. We come regularly and are actually always satisfied, only the fact that most of the dishes are served with fries makes me only give it 4 stars. Today's spit roast (with fries) It was good, but if there had been dumplings instead the dish would have been perfect. The salads here are actually always fresh and very good, the starters are reasonably priced and tasty, and of course the beer is always a pleasure. I would really like to see an offer or one or two dishes that don't come with fries as standard, then I'll give it 5 stars. All in all, worth recommending.

Kann die letzten schlechten Bewertungen nicht ganz nachvollziehen! Waren zum Abendessen dort, ich hatte das Rumpsteak mit Pommes und Bohnen. Das Essen kam zügig und heiß, geschmacklich war es sehr lecker! Auch das Hefeweizen ist sehr zu empfehlen. Ich würde wieder hingehen.

I was there on May 22nd, 24, I ordered the rump steak medium with beans. The food came quickly and tasted excellent. The fries really hot and well seasoned, the beans also with bacon cubes and the steak? On point! So absolutely perfect! Plenty of herb butter - I had absolutely nothing to complain about that day. Now to the beer, I decided on the light one, as a Bavarian you expect one or two things 😉 a naturally cloudy, bottom-fermented, hoppy beer. The first sip was slightly bitter but afterwards it was very tasty and absolutely drinkable. I can't say anything about the other dishes or beers, but I can only recommend trying it out. If I come to this corner again, I will definitely go back here. Highly Recommended!

The food was mostly extremely good and was already at our table within a very short time of ordering. We didn't like the preparation of the spare ribs because they lacked the typical browning from grilling or frying. The service was very attentive and extremely friendly (which is emphasized because it is unfortunately no longer a given). We will be back.

Waren mit der Familie am Abend essen. Vergesst die negativen Bewertungen. Das Brauhaus ist zu empfehlen, schnelle und freundliche Bedienung. Nicht einmal 20 min aufs Essen gewartet. Sonderwünsche wurden sofort erfüllt. Alles in Allem ein gelungener Abend, gern wiederholen.

Went to the brewery last Thursday for a drink and a small meal. Very tasty beer, very friendly staff. It was a successful evening at the brewery in Merzig.

Delicious beer, ambience as you would expect in a brewery. Unfortunately we didn't like the food (schnitzel and brewery goulash).

Very nice atmosphere. Very nice staff. The food is ok. However, there are only 4 menus on the menu for vegetarians or vegans. That's not much and 1 of it is a salad with potato wedges (not very imaginative). The veggie burger is good. The noodles OK too. Baked potatoes work too. That's it for veggie. Unfortunately. If you eat out more than once a month, it's not very varied. Maybe we could offer a few more dishes in veggie versions (e.g. the nachos with veggie sauce instead of minced meat). I'm sure all veggies will be happy about it. And as we know, they are becoming more and more...

Great brewery atmosphere with beautiful furnishings. When eating, it's better to ask what you're getting. It's just a brewery and not a real restaurant where they place a lot of emphasis on good cuisine. We didn't order a burger because the burger patties are frozen goods (ask the waiter). However, the schnitzels are obviously frozen goods (unfortunately not requested) and are not recommended in terms of taste. The asparagus cream soup was good and actually way too much, definitely twice the amount as in most other restaurants. There are plenty of different types of beer here, so there is something for every taste.

In general, it's okay to go to the brewery for a schnitzel. I had a currywurst that was lukewarm, the sauce tasted bitter. Of course I expected that at least with the potatoes and the main course, which I call currywurst, there would be half a roll if I asked Of course it all costs extra. How about this sausage alone with a little sauce and a few potatoes already cost us €14. When I asked for a sour cream, a strange white sauce came that simply tasted like sour cream, but it never tasted like sour cream. When I asked the waiter why the sauce didn't taste like sour cream, he said it was sour cream. Sour cream all tasted the same Yes, for me as a sour cream fan, that's of course a lazy excuse. In my opinion, the staff are of course totally overwhelmed. You can tell how you're received or how some of the other regular guests are already received. That of course makes a huge difference. I also had that from my daughter Tried the Citizen, it was far too dry, so I can say that I am better served at McDonald's and it is also cheaper for us in terms of costs.

We were there yesterday when the weather was nice, the location is very nice outside. My food (schnitzel) was really very bad, like cardboard in old oil. The service was nice and okay.

We had the delicious Obazda with a crispy pretzel and fresh carrot salad. The right snack for in between meals.

Good food but quite expensive. The atmosphere is very pleasant, also suitable for larger groups, but you should make a reservation in advance.

In fact, one star for the food is still too many and I would like the chefs who work in this kitchen to be ashamed of what they present on the plate. Inferior quality that elevates even a canteen meal to a gourmet menu. I would give this restaurant a wide berth.

Wir sind von der Ostsee nach dem Saarland zu Freunden gefahren und haben uns 8 Stunden auf ein schönes Brauhaus Bier gegenüber unserem Hotel gefreut und auf ein köstliches Essen im Brauhaus, schließlich haben wir unsere Zeit im Auto verbracht 🤷‍♂️ nach Hotelanmeldung schnell nach gegenüber zum Essen und Trinken! Die Uhr zeigte 20:50 an . Schon am Eingang wurde uns mitgeteilt das der Biergarten schließt, war für uns 6 Personen kein Problem, wir haben dann kundgetan das wir drinnen Essen würden. Lautstark wurde uns dann mitgeteilt das die Küche geschlossen hat, und das am 1 Mai in einem Brauhaus, auf dem Weg durch den Gastraum wurde dann nochmal uns von einem anderen Personal mitgeteilt das es nichts zu Essen gibt, ob wir das nicht verstehen!!! Der Hinweis auf den Manager konnte man sich sparen, mit so einer Führung brauch man sich nicht auseinandersetzen! P S . wir führen seit über 30 Jahren ein gut gehendes Restaurant direkt an der Ostsee, auf eine Antwort der Geschäftsführung wird wegen Inkompetenz verzichtet, Gruß von der Ostsee

Very nice brewery with good service and very good beer. Unfortunately the quality of the food has deteriorated a lot recently. We used to go there often because of the particularly good burgers. At the moment the burgers consist of cheap ready-made patties, the bread is dry and tastes like nothing, just like the carelessly prepared toppings. The salads are also of poor quality. It's a shame actually. We have significantly reduced our previous frequent visits and try to eat our fill beforehand.
