Royal Imbiss in Essen

Fleisch finde ich gut, Salat gibt es extra abgepackt, daß finde ich auch gut. Meiner Tochter schmeckt die Currysauce nicht so toll, aber das kann ich für mich nicht bestätigen .. so sind Geschmäcker verschieden. Bedienung am Tisch hatten wir auch mal, das war ok, gab sogar gekühlte Gläser - nur die Preise wurden leider mehrfach erhöht

The kebab tasted okay. There was neither too much nor too little meat. Now we come to the negative. The seller suddenly pulled a kebab bread with chicken inside from somewhere and put it into the chicken on the skewer!!! Who knows how long the bread had been sitting there. The chicken was definitely very cold and didn't taste fresh!!! I'm giving it 2 stars with the best of intentions. Otherwise, this is completely unacceptable and only worth one star!!! After all, I'm paying for the food, I didn't ask for a handout. And I also find a small napkin for a kebab borderline.

Does the noise pollution have to be on a Friday during lunchtime? Extremely loud music echoes across the street, windows closed and headphones on, but I can still hear it. I know that in a city where people can only move around in cars, you have to be loud to stand out. Suggestion: start after nap time ;-)

I went to the restaurant for breakfast with two friends on July 24, 2025, and had a very unpleasant experience. At around 11:20 a.m., I was approached by an aggressive and unkempt man begging for food. When I politely asked him to leave us alone, he became aggressive and threatened me. He also verbally abused me. What bothered me most was the fact that neither security nor staff intervened to help us. It's sad that customers can't eat or shop without fear of being verbally abused or threatened. I hope the restaurant takes measures to ensure the safety and well-being of its customers. *Conclusion* Unfortunately, I will not visit this restaurant again until the security issues are resolved.

Quite inconspicuous from the outside and showing its age, moderately attended. The currywurst/fries were exactly to my taste. The sauce was okay, French fries the way I like them (perhaps a bit too much for some?) Mayo not as a huge blob on the fries, but next to them. Also very attractively priced.
