Rotes Kamel in Berlin

Lovely Lebanese food. We had a menu for 2 including a salad, flat breads and then dips, sauces, kofte, shish chicken and melt in the mouth lamb. Totally filled and totally satisfied. You can't go wrong.

We had dinner there with around 20 colleagues. The waitresses were very friendly and warm. For me it was the first time I had Lebanese food. I think I can also say for my colleagues that we were really impressed. The prices were reasonable. What was a bit annoying was that some of us 'had to' look directly at a large television that was playing non-stop Shakrira videos. Luckily the volume was rather subtle.

We visited Restaurant Rotes Kamel for the first time and were truly impressed! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was exceptional. A special thanks to Mr. Hosein, who made our experience even more enjoyable with his kindness and hospitality. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We ordered the Premium Platte Babilo, a delicious grilled platter perfect for four people. The meats were cooked to perfection, juicy, and full of authentic Lebanese flavors. The selection of sides complemented the dish beautifully. To accompany our meal, we enjoyed a refreshing limonade and finished with baklava, knafeh bil jebn, aschtaliye, and halewe—each dessert was a perfect balance of sweetness and texture. The black tea (Kanne Schwarztee) rounded off our meal wonderfully. Overall, we had an amazing experience and will definitely return. If you’re looking for authentic Lebanese cuisine in Berlin, Rotes Kamel is the place to go! Highly recommended!

Very much enjoyed my experience here, im glad the restaurant operates for late night service. The food was great and Jose provided amazing service. I would recommend this place to others traveling too. The lamb was tender and the hummus was refreshing.

It's open late for lunch and the food is delicious. We ordered a combination for two people and an extra dish and the truth is that we had leftovers...but it was delicious 😋. I don't know what problem they have with tap water but forget about it, it is only possible to drink water in bottles that you pay a high price for.

The platter for two we had, with lamb, beef and chicken was beautiful. The sauces it comes with and the breads were excellent also. Had baklava for dessert and again was absolutely beautiful. Very happy with our meal.

We were welcomed very friendly in the restaurant. Thanks to the online reservation option on Google, our table was reserved and we even received a little advice about the dishes and portion sizes. We then ordered a grilled "Red Camel" plate, with three different meat skewers, potatoes seasoned in Arabic style and various Arabic tips and sauces. We also ordered the quark dip “Labneh”. The food was very tasty and the portion size was so large that we even had something packed for us. A salad bowl was freshly prepared right in front of our eyes. There was enough flatbread. In between, the waiters even had time to chat with us a little, even though the restaurant was quite full. We only paid €89 for the meal and four drinks, which was really cheap considering Berlin standards and the great quality and service

Highly recommend this restaurant, the staff are fantastic and our server particularly was so friendly. The food is incredible just perfect and the quality was tremendous. I came here in January and they were extremely inviting which led to us coming here and we’re so happy that we did. If you’re in the area this is by far the best choice.

It is a good Lebanese restaurant. We ordered the 38 Mix Plate, 04 Kibbeh, and tea. The service was fast, and the staff were polite. We paid 74 EUR in total+tip. The mezes tasted really good, but the kebab was average. The tables are a bit too close to each other. Prices are above the Berlin average. I recommend trying it at least once.

Recommended in every respect. On the one hand, Lebanese cuisine is not available here very often, on the other hand, the food was excellent. The price is high, but you also get quality and you can taste it. The staff were also courteous and it was an overall great visit. Will visit again.

We came across Rotes Kamel on our first night in Berlin, a cold Monday evening. We were welcomed, lots to chose from on the menu. We all enjoyed our dinner! One star of the show was the mint tea, the other was the service! Thank you, Rotes Camel!

Really delicious food and the service was great. My boyfriend can't eat gluten and this was taken very good care of! Always my pleasure ! We had the platter for two and the meat was buttery soft and everything was very seasoned.

I've never been in a restaurant where waiters were as rude as in this one. Our waiter kept on whispering insults for us in a language that only one of us could understand (but he didn't know that). The food was below average, but overall kind of ok.

We enjoyed a delicious New Year’s meal here. Everything was good! Wonderful Arabic flavours. We were greeted as we entered with an enthusiastic smiling ‘Happy New Year!’. The lady was very kind to us. The waiter lied to our faces 3 times that the toilet is out of service because there is no water in the area. We had beers and we really needed to go. We went to the little Italy next door used the bathroom there and there was plenty of water. How strange on the same street but in “2 different areas”😂

Good fresh food and great service ✅ always happy

Avoid this place if you can! Let me explain why: First, the food is mediocre and overpriced compared to the Berlin average. The service was passable, at best. Things started to seem questionable when they brought over two small bottles of water that were ALREADY OPEN. The water was clearly tap water, yet they charged us €3.50 for each bottle. But the worst came at the end. But the worst came at the end. When we asked for the bill and requested to pay by card, the waiter brought over the card machine without a printed bill showing the cost of what we’d ordered, and charged us €200, which one of us paid. When we asked for the printed bill to split it among ourselves (we were 7 people), he stalled and only reluctantly brought it over. Imagine our surprise when we saw the actual total was €179—not €200. In other words, he’d taken his tip in advance. Seeing my expression, he even had the nerve to offer us free shots. We might have left a tip on our own. But it wasn’t our decision to make. From what I’ve experienced in Berlin, this sort of thing is unfortunately common, especially in places like this, where tourists are treated with disdain, disrespect, and as easy targets for small scams. It’s disappointing to have these types of experiences pile up over just a few days’ visit. PS: What you see in the picture, chicken chops, is about 19€ by November 2024.

This Lebanese restaurant in Berlin is a true gem. The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is impeccable. The lady waitress here was lovely as was the food, however the waiter hated us the minute we walked in (as a group of 9), he was very rude to my wife and another female friend, and when he took our orders he went towards the kitchen running his hand across his neck to show as if cutting a throat, he hated us splitting the bill and initially refused...slammed our plates down and made the whole experience of eating there repulsive, 4 of our group got up and went next door after an initial drink due to his hostility

The place was cosy. The waiter warned us that they would only accept credit card from 20€. Service was decently quick, but rapidly deteriorated when the waiter forgot three of our orders, and blamed it on us. The food was ok. However, when it came to paying, the poor service kept on, as he insisted we could only pay as one group (we were thirteen, and the total amounted to over 300€ so you can imagine the inconvenience). When we asked why we had to pay as one, he stated it was ‘not to waste paper’, which is a bad joke for saying they dont want to pay as much taxes. Other irksome events occured during the dinner, like water costing 7.90 € ???? Anyways, the food was pretty good and we can see how it can be appealing, but our experience was definitely spoiled by poor serice and prices that seem higher than necessary.

He was extremely attentive, friendly and managed to make us feel like we were his most personal guests. His recommendations from the menu were a hit and his enthusiasm for Lebanese cuisine was contagious. He took the time to explain the dishes and made us feel completely comfortable throughout our stay. Hatoum really left a lasting impression. It is rare to meet such committed and authentic employees who make a visit to the restaurant something special. Thanks to his warm personality and excellent service, we discovered Red Camel as our new favorite for Lebanese cuisine. Overall, the Red Camel is an absolute insider tip for anyone who wants to experience an authentic, culinary trip to Lebanon. There is really great food here, with the steaks being delicious and cooked really well. The mushroom sauce and chips that go with it were also tasty, with the mushroom sauce being a standout for me. The drinks wree also quite good. The service was good. It can get busy and be a bit of a squeeze sometimes.

Very tasty food, the waiter made a suggestion, which we followed. Different dishes on a board to share. Everything was very fresh. Service was fine. The terrace was heated, it is also cozy inside, but you are a little more bothered by the smoke from the grill.
