Rössle in Freudenstadt

We came as a group of 7 people + 1 child for a birthday meal (we did our best to be discreet). We were able to order an excellent Schwarwaldkirschtochte with a "Happy Birthday" plaque (the only thing missing was a candle). All our dishes were exquisite (special mention for the rack of lamb and the trout in two courses, which is very good value for money and truly delicious). Menu available in English. It's very refined and very generous. The restaurant, outdoor areas, and restrooms are impeccably clean. Attentive, patient, and very understanding service. Thank you, ladies, for this fabulous welcome, and congratulations to the kitchen for the succulent dishes. Small drawback: it's obviously not for everyone's budget. And for us French people, the €6.50 bottle of mineral water is a heresy 😅 So we make up for it with the beer and local (or not) wines, which are also very well chosen. Lots of choice in drinks.

We traveled to the Black Forest by motorcycle for a few beautiful tours and chose the Hotel Bären as our base. We made the right choice! - Very nice and attentive hosts who were extremely helpful and friendly, - Excellent cuisine along with a great service team, - A central location with private parking (thanks again for the special parking!), made the tour one of our best - and we've been traveling around Germany for 25 years... Warm greetings from the far north to Freudenstadt and the Hotel Bären!

Great food, great location by the water fountains and nearby playground. The kids had a great time, and the parents were able to relax. 😄

Unfortunately it's done, closed from December 31st.

Everything was super tasty and large portions! The waiters were all friendly! The tiramisu is my personal favorite!
