We had reserved online for 3 people. Because of the good recessions. Despite a reservation, we were seated at a table with others in the entrance area, which was cold and drafty. We then ordered Maultaschen soup, 2 salads and 2 cream schnitzel with spaetzle and everyone had drinks. The two cream schnitzels were good portions, unfortunately only lukewarm. And the salads were average...think potato salad was out of the bucket. I'm only giving this 2 stars because for 90 euros I expect more in terms of quality and temperature from the food. Furthermore, the toilets smelled terrible and were dirty. Several people have already complained about this. Therefore only 1 star. Dear team, if you pay more attention to quality and get your toilet in shape, you will certainly be playing in a higher league. Then pass-through customers become regular customers.

The food was delicious, the service OK. But when a man/woman has been to the toilet, everything no longer tastes the same... My recommendation: rubber boots and gas mask!

Quaint restaurant, nice atmosphere. Were there with a larger group. Food came quickly for 19 people, so far it's okay. One person only got their food after asking several times and then unfortunately it was cold. What exactly went wrong wasn't said, there was just a "sorry" from the ladies Service otherwise OK.

Food was great, the roast was fried to medium perfection 👌🏻 The service was a bit unmotivated, the table wasn't cleared for a long time after the meal and drinks were only taken involuntarily. The ambience itself is great, but it was very warm and the smell in the toilet was extremely disgusting 🤢 A strong acrid smell that immediately made you sick.

Das war ein totaler Reinfall. Burger für 19,90 Euro: Laugenbrötchen hart wie Stein, wohl zu lange auf gebacken oder uralt, Fleisch (angeblich Angus) hart, trocken, geschmacklos, 1 Tomatenscheibe, viele Salatblätter, viele Zwiebelringe, cheddarkäse kalt und zäh. Dazu Fries die ebenfalls trocken und hart waren. Normalerweise esse ich weder Ketchup noch Mayonnaise dazu, aber ich konnte das Bürgerfleisch nicht ohne essen, sonst hätte ich es nicht runter bekommen. Fries gingen zu 80% zurück.Meine Begleitung hatte hat Zanderfilet in Bierteig und Salat 22,90 Euro. Fisch war OK, Bratkartoffeln waren bis zu 1 cm dicke Scheiben, kaum gebraten, geschmackliche Katastrophe. Salatsoße müsste man suchen. Wir reklamierten nach dem Essen, leider, wir hätten es zurückgeben sollen. Hat auch die Servicekraft gesagt. Man brachte uns, ohne zu fragen einfach zwei Cappuccino, die wir nicht angenommen haben, da wir keinen Cappuccino trinken. Man bot uns dann Eis an. Wollten wir allerdings auch nicht. Wir waren bedient. Es wurden uns dann unsere beiden Getränke erlassen. Das Beste war der Service, da sehr freundlich und verständnisvoll. Koch soll angeblich im Oktober 2024 wechseln und wenn wir wiederkommen sollen wir doch die Pfannengerichte oder Haxe probieren. Wenn man's mag. Vorläufig wollen wir jedenfalls nicht mehr dorthin. Apropos es wäre anz gut, wenn Tische und Hokzbänke öfters mit einem nassen Tuch gereinigt würden, da alles klebt.

We visited in the afternoon. Many seats and tables were free. The staff was very friendly and also received good tips. The beer was very good, but €5.40 for a half Urhell is pretty steep. One star deducted for that. For dinner we ordered a saddler's pan and a brewer's pan. Both dishes were served within a short time. The brewer's pan, consisting of coarsely diced meatloaf and fried potatoes, was unfortunately very salty (oversalted). The waitress offered to re-order the dish (positive) but we decided not to. The saddler pan consisted of a pork knuckle with brown sauce, bread and coleslaw. The knuckle was difficult to eat because the pan was very small. We found the prices for the food to be very high and we actually expected freshly prepared dishes (we would have liked to have waited a little longer for this), but our impression was that everything had been prepared for a long time, which we have often experienced in large brewery restaurants . Two stars deducted for that. Recommendation: Drink beer, yes, eat somewhere else.

Good food and friendly staff. We had the Rossknecht Pfännle for 2 people, tasted good, but the price is too high for the quantity (you pay just over €30 per person). The plate contains half a Maultaschen, a pork steak and half a piece of meat loaf per person. Plus cheese spaetzle, fried potato sauce and mustard + salad. The prices for non-alcoholic drinks are high.

Both the food and the beers are very tasty here. The main courses we ordered were all very tasty and plentiful. When it comes to dessert, however, there is still a lot of room for improvement. The Kaiserschmarrn was very dry and doughy. In addition, the raisins were missing for my taste. The service is friendly as long as reorders are constantly made. When we wanted a short break after the main course before dessert, the waiter wanted to cash in immediately. Personally, I don't like it at all when I feel like I'm being rushed while having a leisurely meal. The ambience is as you would imagine in a brewery, rustic and cozy with lots of wood. All in all, a great restaurant with room for improvement when it comes to desserts and service.

Top gastronomy, food was very tasty and rich. Super nice staff and a great atmosphere with home-brewed beer. Anyone who visits Ludwigsburg should definitely pay a visit to the horseman there. It was really an experience.

Our last visit to the Brewery Rossknecht restaurant was once again a complete success. Despite the busyness, the quality of the food and service remained excellent, as usual. As a drink I had the house beer "Mr. Redfield", which comes from our own brewery. It impressed with a balanced taste and a refreshing note - a real pleasure for every beer lover. For dinner we chose the schnitzel with fries and the veal cream slices (meisterpfännle). Both dishes were excellently prepared and tasted delicious. Despite the high volume of people in the restaurant, the service was first class. The staff always remained friendly, attentive and efficient, which made the visit particularly pleasant.

Very interesting place and definitely worth a try if you are in Ludwigsburg. We eat excellently. And very good to drink too.

It was as always, the brewery Zum Rossknecht offers very good beer and very tasty food, from Wiener Schnitzel to lentils and spaetzle to Roßbraten, everything is there and the weather is perfect for sitting outside, I'll always come back, highly recommended

The Rossknecht Reithausplatz is a very traditional and cozy inn, as we know it from before. The ambience is quite unique, as the entire ceiling of the Schwemme is covered with beer mats. Everyone is sure to find their local beer here. The waitresses are very attentive and friendly. We tasted the wheat, which is tart, fruity and tasty. The seasonal Maibock is wonderfully malty, slightly sweet/fruity and has a nice finish. The Rossberg Spätzle, the breaded schnitzel and the Meister Pfännle were eaten, all of which are recommended.

I used to love going here to eat. The atmosphere is rustic and the food used to be excellent, the price/performance ratio was right. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. In the meantime, the Rossknecht is very expensive, but unfortunately the food and service no longer do justice to this high price. The cream schnitzel with spaetzle wasn't bad, but it was carelessly prepared and for the price I would have liked a little more taste experience. But what was worse was that the entire court was knocked out Already less than lukewarm was served. That shouldn't happen at this price level. My companion's meal came long after the schnitzel. It was hot and fresh, but instead of the chicken burger we ordered, a cheeseburger arrived. It's a shame that what was once a really good restaurant has become so bad.

Great restaurant, great service and friendly staff, the atmosphere is a bit darker and everything is clean, only the seating is a bit uncomfortable, at least on the bench.

Rustic atmosphere, delicious beer, but unfortunately expecting too much for the price range when it comes to food. Far too expensive (grill plate for €24.80, there was hardly anything on it: fries, mayo/ketchup, 2 (!) Nuremberg sausages, 1 piece of pork and 1 piece of chicken.) No beef and no medallions for the price, plus coleslaw from a 10kg bucket - all in all for a maximum purchase price of €2... Cheese spaetzle can also be had here for just under €18, crazy - the store only sees me drinking beer again...

Today we were there for the first time and we were very positively surprised. We'll definitely be back! I can only recommend it.

I only went for a beer at Rossknecht on Reithausplatz, so I can't say anything about the food or the food offerings. The beer 🍺 was very good though. The service when paying for it is very slow.

Delicious food, price rather higher in my opinion. But portions are okay. Staff is friendly. But you should stop by often to ask if anything is missing. The beer wasn't really my thing, but that's a matter of taste. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Traditional brewery with great attention to detail. The rustic furniture fits perfectly with the historical ambience and the cozy rooms. I stopped by spontaneously and decided on one of the three meals of the day, namely the "pork cheeks with bock beer sauce on mashed potatoes", which were served after a few minutes. A wonderful pleasure! Service was really very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Since the toilets were absolutely fine, nothing stands in the way of coming back at the next opportunity! By the way: Easily accessible on foot from the Residenzschloss.

I don't know if "rustic" is the right term for this place? I would rather see it as run down! The prices are absolutely not in proportion to the “ambience”. e.g. a simple fried potato...a few onion rings and meat sausage cubes, it's called a meat sausage pan for €16.75!! No wonder that many people switch to Turkish or Chinese people!

It's nice that such "quaint" restaurants still exist. Food tip-top, service attentive and confident with full facilities. As a guest you were the center of attention, so I would happily become a repeat offender.

Typical German / Bavarian place. Not really light dishes but they are good and vegetarian options are available ! For beer lover, they have their own production.

Das Essen war sehr gut [Balkan Teller] Bedienung sehr flink und freundlich. Jedoch haben mich die Preise sehr hoch geschätzt. Zwiebelrostbrsten mit Spätzle 32 Euro Linsen mit Spätzle und Saiten 23 Euro hausgemachtes Bier 0,5 🍺 🍺 5,70 Euro ist sehr teuer bin oft in Ludwigsburg aber leider nicht mehr im Rossknecht

Das Essen war super lecker, der Service erstklassig. Einen Stern habe ich abgezogen, weil ich die Preise als sehr hoch empfinde. Durch die Erhöhung der MwSt haben sich diese im Durchschnitt um 2 Euro pro Gericht erhöht. Da sie vorher schon im oberen Bereich angesiedelt waren empfinde ich sie nun schon heftig. Deshalb werde ich wahrscheinlich, trotz gutem Essen nicht noch einmal kommen. Gut Essen kann man auch in anderen Restaurants zu adäquateren Preisen.

War schon häufiger da, bisher immer zufrieden gewesen. Das letzte Mal leider nicht so begeistert vom Salat, dieser hätte etwas feiner geschnitten mit mehr verschiedenen Zutaten sein können

Wir kamen ohne Tischreservierung. Das Lokal war 3/4 besetzt. Bis wir bestellen konnten, dauerte es ca. 20 Minuten. Die Getränke kamen sofort und das Essen kam in 40 Minuten. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Das Biergulasch hätte einen intensiveren Biergeschmack haben können. Es war allerdings von guter Qualität. Das frischgezapfte Bier war sehr lecker. Die saure Nieren waren perfekt und die Käsespätzle waren exzellent.

Vero posto tradizionale nel Baden-Württemberg dove le birrerie non sono così comuni. Posto, cibo e servizio da 10. Lo consiglio come tappa obbligata per chi visita Ludwigsburg. Provare le Nürnberger Würstchen. Uscirete felici e contenti.

Lange Wartezeit weil viel los war. Wir sind ohne Reservierung gekommen und haben gerne gewartet. Das Essen (Biergulasch) blieb leider hinter den Erwartungen zurück. Service war bemüht und hat einen guten Eindruck hinterlassen.

Sehr urig wie ein Brauhaus eben, etwas dunkel. Zentral gut gelegen. Service war gut ,das Personal ist bemüht und freundlich. Ich fande es etwas zu hektisch, man fühlt sich bisschen unter druck gesetzt wenn die Bestellung aufgenommen wird. Preise Sehr gut, Essen war Top. Gerne wieder.

So stellt man sich eine Braugaststätte vor: - deftiges und vorallem reichhaltiges Essen, was sehr gut zubereitet ist. - Herzlicher Service und natürlich - leckeres handwerkliches Bier… Das ganze dann noch in uriger Atmosphäre…. Ich komme definitiv wieder. Preis/Leistung passt absolut.
