A beautifully located café, restaurant, and ice cream parlor, directly overlooking the Elbe River. It offers cozy seating under overgrown terraces and parasols. The menu is typically Italian. The vegetarian pasta dishes served by our table neighbors looked tempting – our pizzas were delicious, but the chef was probably distracted with our meat dish. Therefore, we couldn't award the expected number of stars. Nevertheless, this won't be our last visit, given the beautiful location by the fragrant rose garden with its fountain and view of the Elbe River. The staff was also extremely friendly.

We were there purely by chance. We felt very comfortable there. The ice cream we ordered was delicious. We'll be back again to try the delicious-looking pizza.

I was there with my family today. 1. The staff were totally unfriendly and irritated, and then we found a small O-RING in the children's ice cream. When we spoke to them, there was no apology or anything like that. One lady just looked at us stupidly and, as I said, didn't say anything else. That's completely unacceptable!

I wanted a glass of tap water with my Rosato Via—an aperitif for €8.80. No, there's no such thing. You have to pay for water in any case... a no-go for me.

Nice place, but...the waiters are on first-name terms, which isn't really appropriate, and the bill shows a €2 charge for special requests, which the waitress couldn't explain. She just pointed to the menu. My problem with that is that we didn't have a special request. Even though it's only €2, extrapolated to the daily business, it leaves a bitter aftertaste.

Nice restaurant in a great location. A delicious buffet for a gourmet brunch. Everything you could imagine was there. A minor criticism: desserts with a high cream content weren't refrigerated. A special request was happily accommodated, but unfortunately, it didn't quite suit our taste. The vegan alternative consisted of four sour dips with bread, which tasted quite good, but were bland. The service was very friendly, but the wait was a bit long at times and a bit forgetful.

I went to the "Rosengarten" restaurant for coffee with a friend. It was, as always, appealing. What's really great is that the ice cream is served in beautiful bowls, rather than the tall ones. Those large (tall) ice cream bowls were always a bit of a challenge to eat.

The Rose Garden is a small green oasis right on the Elbe River – perfect for taking a breather, strolling, and unwinding. Everything is lovingly landscaped, with views of the Old Town, plenty of roses, and quiet corners to linger in. The absolute highlight: the bruschetta in the on-site café! Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, wonderfully seasoned, and topped with fresh tomatoes – honestly, I've rarely eaten such good food! Add a cold drink and a view of the Elbe – that's all you need. The service was friendly and attentive, and the whole place feels well-kept and relaxed. Tip: If you're in Dresden and looking for a break from the hustle and bustle, be sure to stop by!

Absolute top recommendation, great location, outstanding brunch buffet and always attentive and courteous service

We remember the Rosengarten from years past and noticed that the overall quality has declined considerably. This starts with the service, which didn't serve what was ordered for dessert. My chanterelle omelet was also not far from a takeaway in terms of quality. The chanterelles and the fried potatoes were partially burnt. Otherwise, the Italian flair is missing. We probably won't be coming back.

Unfortunately, no stars isn't an option; the toilets are as dirty as a motorway service station. You have to pay €1 to use them. For a euro, I at least expect it not to smell like it hasn't been cleaned in three years. Not to mention the incredibly unfriendly service and the fact that there aren't even any towels to dry yourself with.

Nice ambiance! But just once and never again! Above all, the person there doesn't seem to care much about being nice! Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately accused of making an advance reservation! Which is completely unacceptable! After all, there were 12 of us there, and we made a decent amount of money! The table service was friendly.

Ice cream was disappointing and staff not very friendly

We ordered the breakfast buffet on Sunday for 6 people, including 3 omnivores, 1 vegetarian, 1 vegan, and 1 child. We explicitly announced this and asked if there would be enough choice for the last three. We were assured that there would be enough choice, as announced. As a result, there was only one hot vegetarian dish (a very soggy lasagna). The vegan had to make do with side dishes (vegans also need protein to feel full!), and the child just looked at the soggy lasagna in disgust and ran away. There was no "classic for children" to be found anywhere. The only vegan spread was sliced ​​avocados. The child, who only lived on a couple of rolls with toppings, was naturally charged the full €39. As the waitress slowly realized that the vegan would hardly find anything, they promoted vegan ice cream. Of course, it came in a non-vegan cone! The highlight was the moldy semi-hard cheese, which I discovered right at the beginning (we should have left the restaurant by then!). As a result, half the guests went home hungry. I also found it pretty cheeky how aggressively they asked for drinks before you even had a drinks menu in your hand (was there even one?) so you wouldn't notice the overpriced drinks (coffee for €6). The value for money is completely out of the question. The only good thing was the tiramisu. It gets an extra star for that.

Everything seems a bit mediocre. Ice cream, which the menu calls for a cup, is carelessly smashed into a bowl. The coffee is bland. The ambiance seems dark and not very cozy due to the tent and tarpaulin.

My arugula had a bit of pizza on it. (Irony) But really, there was too much arugula on my pizza. I'd rather have more cheese.

On the way back from the Elbe Castles, we stopped here for a pot of coffee. My wife had already decided to stop by on the way there. She was captivated by the beautiful roses. The café is also very nice and clean. The service is friendly, and the coffee is truly delicious. Extra milk and sugar were brought immediately, at no extra charge.👍

Went to Sunday brunch in the Rosengarten. The restaurant opened on time, was well received by the service staff (where is the food), drinks service was always present. Food is constantly being replenished. Presentation of the individual areas - starter - main course - dessert - well organized. Good selection and quality of offerings. The chef was also present.!! With a view of the Elbe and Everything is rounded off in the park. If that Weather permitting, it will be a successful experience in the rose garden.

I celebrated my birthday on Saturday in the rose garden under the pergola. A fantastic ambience, stylishly decorated... excellent service and the food was fantastic. The restaurant is a real insider tip in Dresden and highly recommended... Price-performance ratio is absolutely fine.

The taste is okay, but the price-performance ratio is not balanced. Location very nice (inside and outside) with musical background from speakers, comfortable seats and patio heaters outside (which didn't all work and weren't kindly turned on by the staff). Favorite place from distant childhood, terrace on the street where you can dine in wonderful weather even in winter, a wonderful smell of roses in summer. The menu is, in my opinion, closer to Italian cuisine.

Unfriendly reception, since no reservation was made, the table remains at the drafty window in the unheated anteroom. The ladies chatted more with each other than attended to guests. The pizza was also rather "rubbery", so we won't be coming back anytime soon.

Very nicely located restaurant. In winter, when the weather is nice, you can sit comfortably outside in the sun (with heated umbrellas if you want). BUT: We have now been there twice within 1 month. Unfortunately, both times the service was a disaster. The young people seem like they're “too cool” for this place, but they can't manage to provide proper service. It takes a while to even get the card, even though it has already been looked at several times. It takes another time before you can place the order... and it wasn't full!! For example, if you order a waffle and an ice cream sundae, they will arrive 15 minutes later. Before I ordered, I asked what fruits were available for the ice cream sundaes, as the waiter had already announced that there was hardly any. His answer: “Well, I can see what’s left of the brunch buffet.” Seriously?!? I then decided on a Rocher cup. I specifically ordered this without alcohol because I'm pregnant (and said this twice) and it came with alcohol. The rochers were also replaced without comment, with 3 tiny Giotto beads. There is no milk substitute in winter either. To top it all off, there was an extra scoop of ice cream added to the bill. This was then refunded after a complaint. So you better check your bill! It's a shame, the restaurant has a lot of potential. But then the service staff should be replaced.

Great selection on the menu and everything you would expect from an Italian. The children's menu also appeals to the youngest (5 years old, had spaghetti Pinocchio with ham and cream sauce) and the older daughter (11 years old) was also able to adapt her pizza a la carte to her wishes. The omelette was immediately ordered several times by our group of 8 people. Apparently the brunch is also well received, at least the restaurant was well attended on this Saturday in January. What we saw from the buffet makes us want to come back again. And again in summer, with a view of the blooming rose garden.

We went to the Italian gourmet brunch on a Saturday. There was a friendly, customer-oriented and competent staff. The ambience is well-kept, clean, attractive and warming. The selection at the buffet is promising and the food is very tasty. You get an orange juice and a sparkling wine at the reception. The price is okay. In summer, when the roses are blooming, it is certainly even more beautiful there.

We felt comfortable in a fun group of 9 people in the early afternoon. According to our sense of humor, the waitress was friendly and ready to have fun. Food was very tasty and plentiful.
