Friendly, attentive service, good food, prices not excessive

Here for the second time today, and everything was perfect... Food, service, ambiance, everything was top-notch.

Service was quick, but since we hadn't decided yet, we asked for a moment to look at the menu. After less than a minute, the waitress was back. Seemed annoyed and unfriendly. We ordered, the ice cream came before the drinks and was put there carelessly/disrespectfully. None of the items ordered were as shown on the menu. The taste is okay, but the price-performance ratio is not balanced. Location very nice (inside and outside) with musical background from speakers, comfortable seats and patio heaters outside (which didn't all work and weren't kindly turned on by the staff). Unfortunately potential not used.

There are no milk alternatives, which will be very much out of demand in 2025. Friendliness of the service staff was rather poor.

Favorite place from distant childhood, terrace on the street where you can dine in wonderful weather even in winter, a wonderful smell of roses in summer. The menu is, in my opinion, closer to Italian cuisine.

We had a coffee with a piece of cake and a few aperitifs. Was very delicious, the waitress was friendly.

Unfriendly reception, since no reservation was made, the table remains at the drafty window in the unheated anteroom. The ladies chatted more with each other than attended to guests. The pizza was also rather "rubbery", so we won't be coming back anytime soon.

Very nicely located restaurant. In winter, when the weather is nice, you can sit comfortably outside in the sun (with heated umbrellas if you want). BUT: We have now been there twice within 1 month. Unfortunately, both times the service was a disaster. The young people seem like they're “too cool” for this place, but they can't manage to provide proper service. It takes a while to even get the card, even though it has already been looked at several times. It takes another time before you can place the order... and it wasn't full!! For example, if you order a waffle and an ice cream sundae, they will arrive 15 minutes later. Before I ordered, I asked what fruits were available for the ice cream sundaes, as the waiter had already announced that there was hardly any. His answer: “Well, I can see what’s left of the brunch buffet.” Seriously?!? I then decided on a Rocher cup. I specifically ordered this without alcohol because I'm pregnant (and said this twice) and it came with alcohol. The rochers were also replaced without comment, with 3 tiny Giotto beads. There is no milk substitute in winter either. To top it all off, there was an extra scoop of ice cream added to the bill. This was then refunded after a complaint. So you better check your bill! It's a shame, the restaurant has a lot of potential. But then the service staff should be replaced.

We were invited to Branch with friends, it was a very nice selection and also very tasty.

We had dinner here with four people about three weeks ago. We liked it very much. Food tastes good and the service is very courteous and nice. Above all, the price-performance ratio is convincing. If it works, we would like to come back again.

Great selection on the menu and everything you would expect from an Italian. The children's menu also appeals to the youngest (5 years old, had spaghetti Pinocchio with ham and cream sauce) and the older daughter (11 years old) was also able to adapt her pizza a la carte to her wishes. The omelette was immediately ordered several times by our group of 8 people. Apparently the brunch is also well received, at least the restaurant was well attended on this Saturday in January. What we saw from the buffet makes us want to come back again. And again in summer, with a view of the blooming rose garden.

We had a cozy New Year's brunch in the rose garden. Compared to other restaurants with brunch, the selection is a little less, but it's almost twice the price. Nevertheless, the service, the chef was very friendly and the atmosphere was very nice.

Things will be difficult here for allergy sufferers and vegetarians. We were at brunch on Saturday. There is no description of the dishes, you can only guess what you put on your plate. There is no type of egg on the buffet. The warm dishes were mostly pizza.

In summer you had a beautiful view of the Elbe.

We went to the Italian gourmet brunch on a Saturday. There was a friendly, customer-oriented and competent staff. The ambience is well-kept, clean, attractive and warming. The selection at the buffet is promising and the food is very tasty. You get an orange juice and a sparkling wine at the reception. The price is okay. In summer, when the roses are blooming, it is certainly even more beautiful there.

Small group of 5 former employees for brunch. Super friendly service staff reception with short, precise instructions for setting up the buffet. Breakfast buffet great, plentiful, lots of Mediterranean, very tasty, lunch buffet smaller selection, either fish or chicken leg. But honestly, the hearty breakfast was enough. The ambience was great, the tables weren't crowded, so you could have a good conversation, which means the overall noise level was very pleasant

We were there on a Sunday morning for brunch with the whole family. There was an extra heated tent with a view of the Elbe. The food was very tasty and lots of choice. The service was also very friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back. Thank you.

This is a wonderful, cosy place along the Elbe cycle track to enjoy a meal or a quick cup of coffee or tea on the stretch. There is also a beautiful rose garden adjacent to the cafe to enjoy the sun and relax on one of the numerous benches in the garden.

Apparently student-run cafe/restaurant. You have to make yourself noticeable to be served, otherwise you will be ignored.

Food and service were OK. One can only presume that the atmosphere was alright as I didn't notice anyone struggling to breathe. or wearing scuba gear

We felt comfortable in a fun group of 9 people in the early afternoon. According to our sense of humor, the waitress was friendly and ready to have fun. Food was very tasty and plentiful. And because our women, with their tiny stomachs, couldn't eat half of the food and were allowed to take it with them, they ate another five pounds of a thousand kinds of ice cream. That always works 🤣

I was able to celebrate my birthday at Café Rosengarten and was very happy with the choice. We spent a lovely afternoon with 25 people, surrounded by delicious cake, great ice cream and aromatic coffee. The entire team was extremely friendly and attentive, which made us feel completely comfortable. The atmosphere was simply pleasant. I can only recommend Café Rosengarten – a nice place for celebrations or simply to spend a relaxing afternoon/evening

The ambience is very nice but the staff was not willing to serve me a smaller portion because it is only for children. So I was forced to order a large portion of which half was then eaten away, an absolute waste….

Quite chic from the outside, less so inside and not particularly comfortable. Had 2 cappuccinos that were really not good. Solid foam that has zero bonding with the cafe. The café below was inedible and extremely bitter.

We were there for brunch on Sunday and loved it. We were surprised by the very large and high-quality dishes that were presented to us in a very visually appealing way. Everything was very tasty across the board and everyone can find something to choose from. Quality and selection also justify the slightly higher price. Service was also very good. A clear recommendation from us!

Very nice Italian restaurant located directly on the Elbe.

We were invited to a brunch celebration on a hot day. The ambience is actually very nice. However, we were given a table for 8 people made up of two garden tables for 10 people in the tent. It's tight and uncomfortable. The buffet was great, especially the salads and desserts. Unfortunately the hot part only consisted of pizza and pasta. Too bad. Prosecco and 1 bottle of warm Prosecco and a small carafe of orange juice were set. Should that be enough for 10 people? So unfortunately very mixed.

Local with a very nice view & very friendly staff. The food, on the other hand (tagliatelle with "fresh" chanterelles) was absolutely below standard - no taste, no spices and the mushrooms were definitely not fresh. Too bad 😕

Nice atmosphere in the eponymous rose garden on the banks of the Elbe. The food is tasty but doesn't justify the price. 20 EUR for a pasta dish in which the noodles stick together and the portion is barely enough to fill you up is simply too much. The base of the pizzas was tough instead of crispy and unfortunately too salty. In addition, the waiting time is long.

What a great Sunday. The “Rosengarten” restaurant is a wonderful place to linger and enjoy with an Italian touch. Particularly noteworthy is the exceptional brunch and the host Alexandri Angeliki. Thank you, we would love to come back.

I love the Café zum Rosengarten. We were last on the terrace and were served quickly and friendly. The service patiently answered our questions and was super friendly even after reorientation to accommodate our requests. Empty dishes were immediately cleared away and we were repeatedly asked attentively and unobtrusively whether we were still satisfied. I can recommend this cafe without hesitation. The food I have eaten there so far has also been delicious and appetizingly prepared. Price/performance ratio is completely fine.

the food wasn't good. I had the Porodomora pesto and it was way too oily. I couldn't really eat it. my sister had Brushetta, unfortunately not as it should be. The toilet was beyond dirty. The staff was unfriendly. It was difficult to find a seat, we were told at least 4 times "The seat is reserved, please move." the prices were not fair.

We went to brunch with our family and friends on July 28th, 2024 on the occasion of a big birthday. Everyone was very pleasantly surprised by the service, the very tasty, rich and varied buffet and the entire atmosphere of the restaurant. A big thank you to the entire “Rosengarten” team for the successful setting of our celebration. We will definitely be back for the next family celebration.

Leider war die Kompetenz des Personals richtig mangelhaft! Wenn man nett nach einem Tisch im Garten fragt, bekommt man zur Antwort,dass alles reserviert ist. Nach über einer Stunde waren die Tische einfach immer noch frei.... Da stimmt meines Erachtens etwas an der Flexibilität und Empathie des Personals leider nicht.

July 14, 2024 Mealworm in food We were guests in this restaurant yesterday. We chose spaghetti carbonara & pasta with chanterelles & veal. The service was quick and friendly, soon the food was served and we started eating. However, the absolute shock of disgust followed very quickly that there was a mealworm in the food with the chanterelles. DEFINITELY a mealworm. There were three of us and unfortunately this was clear to each of us. Since we were otherwise really very satisfied, we discreetly shared this discovery with the waitress, who, embarrassed, also discreetly quickly brought the plate we had just started to the back. Of course the appetite was spoiled. Since two of us had a different meal, we were very careful when we continued eating and halfway through we had already lost our appetite. We also poked around very carefully in anticipation of a possible mealworm surprise in our food. Unfortunately, the nice birthday atmosphere was a bit gone, but the information that the waitress gave us left us speechless: The cook put this mealworm in his mouth, swallowed it and claimed that it was just a meat fiber, but that we needed the food we had started do not pay. We were not offered an apology, nor were we offered a gesture of forgiveness with a coffee or anything similar. Rather, we always had something new (drinks, food!!!) which of course was no longer an option for us after this experience. We paid around 44 euros for the other two dishes and our three drinks and we will never come to this restaurant again. To be honest, you can only call something like that disgusting, arrogant and snotty.

On June 29th The vanilla ice cream in the waffle was just bad! (I have no idea what it's like otherwise) It melted immediately. You couldn't lick it as quickly as it melted. My clothes were immediately stained. Unfortunately I had to dispose of the ice cream on site. But €2 per ball demands neither quality nor quantity. Next time I'd rather suck cool stones out of the Priesnitz next door!

Café am Rosengarten, located directly on the Elbe and good for a break by bike. Unfortunately, the ordering process is digital with a QR code and is a bit confusing because the instructions do not correspond to the actual ordering process. But the service staff is there and friendly. Oat milk hasn't arrived here yet. This should be self-evident by now. Overall, a solid café with a view of the digital world. I prefer to talk to people.

If the weather is good, prefer outdoor seating. Good service - our pizza 🍕 was served halved upon request.

The place is nice, we had to wait a long time for drinks, and when the food came our eyes widened, not because there was so much on the plate, but too little. Not suitable for the price. Pizza arrived cold. It's OK for a stop to drink, but we won't be eating there anymore. There are better Italians there.

Delicious Italian buffet (although described as international - therefore 5 euros more expensive than Italian). Warm portion rather ordinary - salmon fillet was far too dry. Drink prices were normal. Service was very attentive and polite. The seats in the awning with a fabric-covered ceiling were very comfortable. We felt very comfortable on Sunday, with small compromises in the price-performance ratio of the buffet.

Unfortunately we (my 90-year-old mother and I) cannot say anything about the food, drinks or the ambience. We didn't even get that far. After all the free tables had reserved signs except for one, we were happy and wanted to take a seat. An employee came rushing in, did you make a reservation, no, then he asked us to leave the restaurant because all the seats were taken. As we were leaving we saw a single lady at a table of four, she smiled at my mother and asked her to sit down. We did that until an angry employee came and said they didn't give out "double tables"... I said, Excuse me...? He said very loudly in broken German with an angry look: "Go, you can't just sit at a table without asking." We left and are never coming back. To everyone else who wants to go there, we will say: "I'd rather not, this restaurant isn't worth a star.!!!" (... we can only give a review with one star)

As an adult, I wasn't allowed to order a children's portion. A small portion was not available either. I am disappointed by such outdated and unnecessary regulations.

Malerisch am Rosengarten am Elbufer gelegen, hat man auf manchen Plätzen durchaus romantisches Ambiente. Das Essen mit eher italienischer Küche ist durchweg schmackhaft und auf kleinere Sonderwünsche wird ebenfalls eingegangen. Leider passt der durch hohe Restaurantauslastung inklusive größerer Feiern hoffnungslos überforderte Service gar nicht zur Stimmung und zum zeitlichen Vorhaben. Schade!

You should definitely pay a visit to the rose garden with café restaurant. The garden is beautiful. I was so excited. When the weather is nice you can really unwind.
