Rosengarten in Ellwangen (Jagst)

Toller Ort, köstliches, frisch zubereitetes Essen

Tolles Ambiente im Grünen. Dafür vergebe ich gern 5 Sterne. Die Karte ist ambitioniert, erfüllt leider nicht immer die Erwartungen. Der Zwiebelbraten war leider kein Braten, sondern ein Steak mit glasierten Zwiebeln und einigen (vermutlich Convenience) Röstzwiebeln. Die Bratkartoffeln waren leider nicht ausreichend gebraten und ebenfalls convenient. Ein Gericht wurde komplett vergessen (waren eine Gruppe von 20 Personen), ein weiteres kam erst als die anderen bereits fast fertig gegessen hatten (Salat!). Das kann natürlich immer passieren, aber ich habe ungefähr 7 Mal nachgefragt, ob das Gericht noch kommt. Ich wurde immer vertröstest („kommt noch“). Es kam nicht mehr, da es wohl nicht aufgenommen wurde. Wie gesagt, kann passieren, aber irgendwann hätte es auffallen können. Wie gesagt. Essen okay, relativ teuer für die Qualität (zumindest teilweise), Service war Ei unserem Besuch nicht zufriedenstellend.

Ein ganz tolles Lokal mit sehr gutem Service. Die Speisen waren sehr lecker.

Super lecker. Wahnsinn! Tolle Steaks zu sehr günstigen Preisen. Dieses Lokal ist sehr schön eingerichtet und liegt auch sehr idyllisch. Im Sommer gibt's einen riesigen Biergarten. Sehr zu empfehlen

Nettes Restaurant mit guter Karte mit interessanten Speisen zu guten Preisen. Im Sommer mit dem Biergarten vermutlich noch besser. Fazit: Gut gegessen, gerne mal wieder!

Auf Reservierung waren wir zum ersten Mal dort, alles per Mail hat super geklappt. Wir durften auch unsere kleinen Hunde mitnehmen, bekam einen schönen kleinen Tisch an der Seite 👍 Das Ambiente ist ansprechend und die Stühle gemütlich. Die Karte ist ausreichend wohl für jeden was dabei. Leider war die Wunschsuppe aus. Wir hatten aber eine feine Leber, die glasig geröstet Zwiebeln 🧅 war in Ordnung 😄 Sowie einen Sauerbraten, gute Klöse, lecker Rotkraut und eine gute Scheibe braten und eine verwachsene, die Soße war sehr lecker und kräftig. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Allerdings ist das Restaurant ziemlich laut wenn der Nachbartisch diskutiert. Der Biergarten war wegen der Jahreszeit natürlich geschlossen sieht aber gut aus den möchte ich gerne mal ausprobieren.

Essen war enttäuschend, zähe Lende , wo gibt's denn sowas? Der Service war recht unambitioniert. Ursprünglich wollten wir - ganz Schwaben - restliches Essen mitnehmen. Zum Einpacken bekamen wir einen Alu Behälter an den Tisch und durften SELBST das Essen einfüllen. Hab ich so noch nie erlebt! Letztlich war es dann aber doch einfach zu schlecht, als dass man das hätte noch einmal essen wollen. Schade.

Bei der Reservierung haben wir gefragt ob es okay ist wenn 2 Hunde mitkommen. Die Antwort war das es okay ist. An der Tür vom Restaurant war auch kein Hunde Verbot Schild. Beim eintreten mit Hund wurden wir schon komisch angeschaut. Wir saßen noch keine 5 Minuten da kam schon der Besitzer und machte uns dumm von der Seite an, warum wir mit Hund kommen und dann auch noch mit 2 Hunden. Sorry, aber wenn das Personal sich nicht einig ist was ausgemacht ist, dann sollten sie sich schon auf eine alternative einigen. Das Essen hat uns auch nicht überzeugt,es fehlte vom Salat ( da war kein Tropfen Essig und Öl dran)bis zum Hauptgericht an sämtlichen Gewürzen.

Das Ambiente war angenehm, aber leider hat das Essen total enttäuscht. Es fehlte an Gewürzen und der Geschmack war sehr fad. Weder der Salat noch die Bratkartoffeln haben Würze bekommen. Das Fleisch war gut vom garpunkt, aber das ist leider alles. Für den Preis definitiv nicht empfehlenswert. Schade, da war das Potenzial nicht genutzt.

Our visit this time was unfortunately disappointing. The menu on the website is very extensive, but on-site there was very little choice (probably due to the holiday). We couldn't exchange the side dishes, which was always possible before, and the portions were smaller for the same price. The food itself was okay, but there was room for improvement, and they were skimping on spices. The server's comment at 12:56 pm: "Were you told you had to leave at 1:00 pm? No? Well, now you know," was the final straw, as we were immediately charged and had to leave our drinks unfinished! Unfortunately, it wasn't a very pleasant or successful (family) Christmas dinner. A real shame considering the price...

It's actually a really nice restaurant, lovely decor, super friendly service, and a great atmosphere! Especially in the summer with the beer garden! There's a really wide selection on the menu, and the owner was extremely polite! Everyone was happy with their food. Unfortunately, I initially ordered a vegetarian pizza… as soon as I cut into it, the whole base was swimming in oil… I don't know if some people like that, but I didn't find it very edible :( I then ordered something else, and the one with baked sheep's cheese was really delicious! My mother and aunt also had pizzas, and theirs weren't nearly as greasy, so I think the problem was more likely the type of pizza 🤷‍♀️… But overall, it's a really nice place!

The waitress was unfriendly and completely overwhelmed, even though there were hardly any guests. The food wasn't particularly tasty, and the bill was even overcharged, as you only get the receipt after you've paid. Restaurant not recommended.

Nice, friendly - service was good. . The onion roast was good meat, cooked medium-rare, too. . The onions, however, weren't roasted (that's where the name comes from!), but rather sautéed until translucent. Unfortunately, they also forgot to fry the fried potatoes properly, so they don't deserve the name. . Sorry, but at €30 per dish, I really expect more.

We had explicitly reserved for around 30 people on a Thursday evening. Around 30 people because we were hosting a regulars' table/information evening without prior registration and therefore couldn't give an exact number of participants. In the end, 24 of the 30 seats were taken; the majority had eaten a main course and consumed several drinks. So far, so good. The owner wasn't happy that six seats were left empty and complained about it in front of the entire team. He said he could also charge a minimum consumption for the remaining seats. The fact that an approximate number had been specifically indicated in advance, as well as the fact that there were several seats free throughout the restaurant for any additional guests, didn't seem to matter. This kind of behavior disqualifies the Rosengarten for me, until a change of ownership, hopefully soon.

We wanted a quick bite to eat and waited 15 minutes for our drinks. Our food wasn't even served. The waitress just stood there and didn't notice. Never again. Not recommended.

The Swabian pan-fried pork and the onion roast were quite good, but could have used a bit more flair. The schnitzel was unfortunately a complete disappointment. It looked and tasted like a ready-made schnitzel from the supermarket. It was definitely not homemade. It's a shame, because schnitzels used to be very tasty.

Great food, very friendly staff, and a beautiful beer garden. Ordering right before closing time is no problem, either. Keep it up 👍🏼

Great food, nice location and normal prices

The service was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing for everyone at the table (8 people). The flavor was weak, and the schnitzel and gravy weren't homemade. The "salad bowl" with a dollop of potato salad and pre-made green salad was a joke. Vegetable spaghetti was devoid of vegetables. Unfortunately, the food was too weak overall to recommend.

Finally back at RoGa! A beautiful beer garden with a diverse, fine Italian-German menu. New owner, a lot of things are being remodeled, but things are moving in a good direction!

Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with the "old" Rosengarten. The food was abysmally bad. There was constant shouting and bickering coming from the kitchen. It's a shame about this once-thriving restaurant.

We had lunch here for our daughter's communion. The waitresses were impeccable, very friendly and helpful, and Mr. Toni was truly reliable and attentive. A pleasant and convivial atmosphere. We've found our favorite restaurant after years!

Reservation was very slow. More of a shuffle around, along the lines of “we’ll squeeze you in somehow, it could be cuddly”. A simple rejection might have been easier. The waitress then brought us 4 tickets for 6 people. I ordered roast onion roast. My request to replace the side dish (fried potatoes) with another side dish (second side salad) was rudely rejected. —> “it’s too complicated”. Meat was good. Fried potatoes very tasteless and greasy. Pizza from others present was very mushy, doughy, not crispy. All in all, you can eat quite well there and fill yourself up, but the visit was a bit disappointing. Value for money is not right for me.

A great restaurant with very good cuisine and friendly staff. Very good service - even when it is very busy. The beer garden is also very nice, naturally shaded with many trees. A win for Ellwangen!

I ordered a tomahawk steak (medium), probably the most expensive meal I've ever ordered (50€ just the dish). Then I got it raw. The chef then put the steak back on the grill, which isn't necessarily appropriate considering it costs €50. To make matters worse, the steak was brought to me completely cooked through. Unfortunately there was no discount or anything similar.

I found it positive that a short-term reservation was not a problem. Service was quick and the order was taken quickly. The food also came very quickly. Unfortunately, the somewhat overwhelmed and haphazard service was not so good. I received a set of cutlery that was carried in my pocket, and the napkin was then full of black lint. My cream schnitzel was very dry and seemed like it had been kept warm. The pizza was completely black at the bottom but still good, the cheese spaetzle was good but the portion was small. There is clearly room for improvement, but it was still a pleasant stay.

The food is excellent, everyone is very friendly. Highly recommended. The meat is of very good quality and the pizza also tastes very good. Always happy.

The stylishly redesigned rooms create a pleasant, almost cozy atmosphere, which, in combination with the courteous service, immediately conveys a welcoming feeling. The menu is well thought out and presents a careful selection of dishes that have both classic and modern touches. It is perfectly coordinated with the overall concept of the restaurant and offers something for every taste - from a selection of special meat and fish dishes to creative starters. The selection of drinks is also excellent and ideally rounds off the culinary experience. I spontaneously stopped here on Friday evening at 6 p.m. while passing through. Despite many reservations, the friendly innkeeper was able to get me in after the holidays with a time limit of 1.5 hours. Service very friendly - food good, especially the salad (mixture different than I'm used to - with potato salad underneath). Local also has a beer garden in summer. It worked great for me. When I paid after about 70 minutes and then left, the landlord even offered me a schnapps because time was limited - very friendly 👍👍

We found this place online as a travel stop and reserved a table. The welcome was very friendly and we were given a nice table and delicious food. The price-performance ratio is right here. We were very satisfied and will drive off the highway to eat here again. We look forward to next time.

We tried the new rose garden and were disappointed. We used to love going to the old rose garden. At the new one, the selection on the menu is very clear and there isn't something for everyone. The portions were very small so several of us were still hungry after the visit. That wasn't the case with the old rose garden. Our waitress wasn't very friendly either. Too bad. What was also negatively noticeable was the fact that there were wilted flowers on several tables.

Today we had dinner with 6 people And we were pleasantly surprised by the furniture chair. We were shown to the table by a very friendly waitress. The drinks and food were picked up quickly. Meat, pizza and mushroom dishes were ordered which deserved 5 stars in terms of appearance and taste. We will definitely visit the rose garden more often and are looking forward to the beer garden.

We spontaneously made a stopover in Ellwangen and had dinner in the rose garden. Since it was a Saturday and we hadn't made a reservation, there was nothing left in the restaurant at 6:30 p.m. But the late summer evening and the large beer garden gave us the opportunity to have dinner after all. The portions were very generous and the meat was also very good. If you like it vegetarian, you have a rather narrow selection (burgers) and we didn't find fish on the menu either. But the hearty Swabian cuisine was welcome for our detour and we are happy to recommend it.

Hier findet man definitiv den Besten Zwiebelrostbraten in Ellwangen. In einem gemütlichen Biergarten mit freundlichem Personal.

Sehr gutes Essen, schönes Ambiente, auch für Kinder. Essen und Trinken manchmal mit Verspätung, was aber eher an der vielen Arbeit liegt, welche die Bedienungen haben. Also auch positiv gemeint. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Die guten dinge vorweg: Essen, Service und Auswahl sind sehr gut! Allerdings: Ein gutes und Hochwertiges Restaurant sorgt dafür, dass Salate und Vorspeisen zeitnah nach Bestellungen beim gast sind. Bei dem Rosengarten wird jeder Tisch, egal was bestellt wird, der Reihenfolge nach abgearbeitet. Fazit: es ist mit hohen Wartezeiten selbst für Salate zu rechnen.

Schönster Biergarten in Ellwangen. Pizza immer sehr lecker und zum Glück nicht so enge Bestuhlung! Viel Raum auch für die Kinder zum toben mit kleinem eingezäunten Spielplatz und „Lager“ zum verstecken. Wir kommen im Sommer sehr gerne.
