Absolutely rude servers moaning about me not greeting them in Italian. The food was bang average but the servers’ attitude and service were utterly disgraceful. Don’t waste your time here.

A cozy place where you can have fun, get good service, and get delicious pasta when it's really busy, like the night before the Berlin Marathon.

Waited for 20min without even receiving the Menu. The same was being noticed on other tables. Gave up and went to the other italian nearby, and received proper servicing.

We dined here yesterday before our visit to the Theater des Westens. Unfortunately, this wasn't a good start to our lovely evening. The waiters are very arrogant and unfriendly. The cleanliness leaves much to be desired in all areas, from the tablecloths to the cutlery, the restrooms, and the menu. I don't really want to know what the kitchen is like. The Parma pizza was lukewarm, as it took a good 10 minutes for the waiter to bring it to our table. I had tomato mozzarella, and you can't really go wrong here. Unfortunately, it was very poorly prepared, and the mozzarella had a crunchy texture. Unfortunately, not worth recommending.

We sat outside because it was warm. Since the S-Bahn runs directly above the restaurant, it was quite loud. The service was friendly and fast. The pizzas are large and well-topped. Smaller portions are available upon request. The pasta dishes are a decent size and well-seasoned. The prices are reasonable for the city center. If you sit inside, the noise from the S-Bahn isn't as disturbing.

I'm in Berlin once a year for work, and eating here is a must for me. I like the atmosphere, despite, or perhaps even because of, the S-Bahn train that roars past the restaurant. The food is delicious, and the prices are right for me. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

The subway noises gave it a somewhat NYC feel. The waiters were friendly, and the food (pizza and pasta) was good, too. I'd happily go back.

The first time, we got reheated spaghetti. The second time, the waiter was so outrageously unfriendly that we left immediately. A complete tourist rip-off. There are much better Italian restaurants in the area.

We ate a delicious pizza here. The staff was polite and courteous. It was a weekday around 6:00 PM, and we easily got a table without a reservation. From our perspective, there's nothing to complain about.

The food was quite good. So was the value for money. It's quite noisy due to the S-Bahn. The staff is a bit grumpy.

Great Italian restaurant. You can sit outside in a lovely spot. The pizza was truly delicious, as was the salmon. They served delicious warm bread and olives beforehand, and a free limonello afterward. It was a very nice evening.

We were served for 2.5 hours, we waited for the waiter to serve people who arrived 15 minutes later than us, the food was prepared for about an hour for the first course, and the same for the second. The waiter did not bring the bill, we had to get up and go to the bar, even when we went to the bar they still did not give us the bill for 10-15 minutes after

Nice Italian restaurant with a very good selection of food and drinks. The service is always very friendly and typically Italian. The antipasti and pizzas are excellent. Unfortunately, some pasta dishes come with cream. Nevertheless, I've been there many times and will go again.

Service was very quick, the food was excellent and the staff was really nice. We received some olives as a starter and extra cheese for pizza. After we were done eating, they offered us some limoncello. Very good food, prices and service

Wonderful octopus salad and tasty margherita pizza topped off with an Aperol spritz - just what we needed after a long day touring Museum Island. Friendly staff helped us celebrate a birthday in our midst.

I'd been walking around Berlin for hours seeing the sights, I was starving to say the least, I'd seen this place under the S-bahn that was very near my hotel, so I took the decision to stop here. It couldn't have been a better decision, the Service was excellent, the Weißbier superb (I had three), and the Pizza was exactly as a pizza 🍕 should be, thin base, excellent toppings, all inexpensive, so good in fact that I may return for another tonight.

Love it here! The staff are the friendliest in Berlin, and the food is so good we came here three times on our 1 week trip.

The food is okay, but the payment process is awful. Paying by card costs 2 euros more, and you're not even informed.

We won't be coming back. The food was quick, the service even faster, unfortunately too fast. Plates were simply cleared away even though I was still eating. When I poured the water, I spilled something in the oil. Okay, it happens, but unfortunately, water spilled at every table. The main course, I had king prawns, was unfortunately only lukewarm, and you had to search for the potatoes on the plate (3 pieces). It tasted good. The audacity came with the bill, 92.10. We didn't want to leave a tip because they should have at least asked if it tasted good; they could have addressed the stale Coke that way too. The waiter insisted that we give enough. My partner stood up after paying, otherwise it would have escalated into an argument, and was shouted after him, and even said that this was a hindrance. Thank you very much for nothing.

The kitchen, and thus the food, was quick and quite OK. Nothing special, but okay. However, the service was initially cold and dismissive. The highlight came when I wanted to pay by card and the waiter asked for a tip. I declined because I don't tip cards. However, after he repeatedly asked me to leave one, it became too rude for me, and I simply demanded payment. After I had paid, I left the table immediately because otherwise I would have become abusive. Afterward, I had to endure insults from the waiter after me. This is the worst service I've ever experienced. Never again

After dinner, we were informed that we couldn't pay by card, and then it was a 15-minute walk to the ATM...

This restaurant is our favorite Italian restaurant in Berlin. Whenever we attend a performance at the Theater des Westens, a meal here is always part of the itinerary. The atmosphere beneath the arches of the S-Bahn line is truly special. Whether pizza or pasta, the food is always delicious. We also love the side dishes, olives and baguette. Both in the restaurant and on the outdoor seating area, we were always served in a friendly and courteous manner. Thank you!

My pizza was burnt on the underside and it did not taste very good. Might have been unlucky because my friends did not have a burnt pizza. Ate it without complaint so it would not be thrown away, but it should not happen. Sitting outside is very noisy with the passing trains. Passable restaurant, but not a good price/quality ratio.

As with every visit to Berlin, we head to our favorite restaurant in the arches of Bahnhof Zoo. It certainly takes some getting used to the constant roar of the S-Bahn overhead, but we don't find it disturbing. Rather, we enjoy the Italian ambiance. Excellent food and impeccable service. And cloth napkins at the table! That's not something you'd expect, even at some posh Italian restaurants...

The waiters were absolutely unfriendly, something you don't expect from Italians. The glass was dirty. Every other table got a free limoncello, but unfortunately, we didn't. You didn't feel welcome, but the food was delicious, with generous portions and reasonable prices. But if you're ignored or served with gestures, you certainly won't come back.

The restaurant itself was nice, and the staff was friendly. We were a large group and had made a reservation. When we ordered, my order (a Margarita pizza) arrived relatively quickly, but it tasted rather bland, as if the pizza had been baked at lunch and then reheated that evening. There was a fly baked into it, which I found quite disgusting. The fly incident was obviously an isolated incident, and I could have pointed it out, which I didn't do, which is also my problem. However, it's strange that the staff didn't notice.

Love this place for takeout and dine-in. Their falafel wrap is packed with fresh herbs and crispy chickpeas, and the garlic sauce is addictive. Service is always quick, and the quality is consistent every time. Big portions, good prices, friendly staff.

The restaurant's location is very idyllic. You can sit outside, especially on warm days. The waitress was very friendly. The prices were reasonable. The star deduction is due to the lack of carbonation in the Coke, and the pizza lacked that "wow" flavor.

Pizzas and food in general are bland. No beer selection. If you don't ask for a ticket, they'll charge you more if you don't notice. Next to train tracks.

Not impressed, pizza was soggy and the service terrible. Wouldn't like to be there if it was busy as you would be waiting along time. Food was mediocre at best!!!

I ordered a Primitivo for my meal, which at €18 was far from the usual preparation, but was served a cheaper one. When I asked, the waiter confirmed it was a Primitivo with a smug smile! I can confirm that the waiter also demanded a tip from me quite impertinently and became even more rude when it was only one euro. It couldn't be more unfriendly!

We came late evening, we were seated and it took a while for the waiter to take our order, busy with a group. The wine was excellent, and so was the pizza. Everything was quality and freshly made. Prices were resonable, and even though they were under the Bahn, I quite like their location.

Romero Italian es un maravilloso restaurante típico italiano La comida era genial. La pizza era fresca, sabrosa y tenía esa base crujiente perfecta que cabría esperar de una cocina italiana de calidad. La carbonara era rica, cremosa y bellamente equilibrada – un verdadero sobresaliente. Pero la verdadera estrella de la noche fue el tiramisú. He tenido innumerables tiramisos a lo largo de los años, pero esto fue lo mejor que he probado: ligero, decadente y completamente inolvidable. Romero es un lugar fantástico para cualquiera que quiera auténtica comida italiana servida con cuidado y estilo. Visitamos aquí 24 . 05 . 2025 y sin duda volveremos a visitar en nuestro viaje de regreso a Berlín. Muy recomendable

We were on a school trip in Berlin and thought we would go eat some nice Italian food. Little did we know the evening was not going to be nice at all. We just arrived and sat down, when the server sighed at us and asked us if we were Belgian. We said yes, and he looked incredibly annoyed and said Belgians were a “catastrophe”. First we thought it was a joke but he didn’t laugh at all so we felt very uncomfortable. We had to wait a long time for our drinks but that’s not even the biggest problem. We got our food and it was okay. A smile or a “enjoy” was too much too ask for apparently. The pasta was fine but nothing special. Same for the pizza. We had to wait a very long time again before our plates were taken away and before we got the bill. When I wanted to pay he forced us to give a tip and complained how he found Belgians annoying again. I don’t see how this is our fault but under pressure I rounded the total up a bit. He found this too little and let me pay while grumpy. I still wished him a nice evening but he quickly walked away. Never again!!!

The selection of Italian restaurants in Berlin is huge. But Romero stands out because of his absolutely authentic Italian style. The quality of the food is excellent. The service is typically Italian, relaxed and informal. We had to wait a while for our table and our waiting time was sweetened with a Prosecco. It wasn't necessary but absolutely nice. Thumbs up for this restaurant. Whenever we are in Berlin, we always have to eat here at least once

During the day I was treated very, very friendly and courteously by the female waitress. The gentlemen still seem to have a lot of catching up to do here. The staff is friendly, typically Italian, but unfortunately not so well organized. It all takes quite a long time. The food is quite expensive and not very well seasoned. We had a nightcap (amaretto and espresso) to say goodbye. You can hear (and feel) the train above the restaurant very loudly. The toilets are tiny and OK maintained. Therefore, unfortunately only 2 stars for the visit on Saturday evening.

Zeer slechte ervaring om snel te vergeten. De cava was lauw en zonder bubbels, de mozzarella di buffala was gewone mozzarella van koemelk en de pasta was matig. Het restaurant heeft een zeer slechte akoestiek, is zeer lawaaierig en bovendien staat de muziek zeer luid zodat elke vorm van communicatie onmogelijk wordt. Maar het meest storende is het arrogante gedrag van de obers die zich te pas en te onpas opdringen tijdens het eten, borden vanonder je neus wegritsen terwijl 3/4 van de tafel nog aan het eten is , en het dinner afsluiten met een agressief “ The tip is not included “ …. A very nice Italian restaurant with an authentic flair. The food is really tasty, the pasta is fresh and the pizza is excellent. The service is friendly and attentive, and the ambience creates a cozy atmosphere. Definitely a place you'll love to visit again and again!

We spent New Year's Eve at Romero - a really successful end to the year! The atmosphere was great, especially the setting under the arches has its own charm. A small point that may not appeal to everyone: the train that runs directly over the restaurant can sometimes be a bit loud. For us, however, this somehow added to the cozy and lively character of the restaurant. The food was excellent, the service attentive and friendly. A must for us every time we visit Berlin!

Bad, bad, bad. Starting with the unfriendly service, the food didn't come at the same time but about 10 and 20 minutes later, was partly lukewarm and had nothing to do with pizza in terms of taste. Despite having reserved a table, the table wasn't ready yet and last but not least, both the men's and women's toilets were flooded and absolutely dirty. Can't recommend it like that.

Ilmeisen suosittu italialainen, kun muutaman kerran ohi mentyämme huomasimme, että ravintolassa oli mukavasti väkeä. Tästä syystä poikkesimme itsekin. Pitsasta riittää kahdelle hyvin syötävää. Otimme kuitenkin pasta-annokset, jotka nekin olivat valtavan kokoiset. Ruoka oli hyvää. Parmesan-juuston tarve kysyttiin erikseen. Alkupalaleipiä ja oliiveja ei velottu erikseen. Junat yläpuolella jyskyttivät aika ajoin, mutteivät häirinneet merkittävästi. Voisin mennä uudelleen.

Delicious spaghettis but had a problem with acidity later on. The Italian waiter is so kind. However, there was a mid age waiter with white hair speaking Albanian (probably from Macedonia based on the accent I heard) was so disrespectful and uncultured as to make a nasty comments about the customer woman's body. Even though it was in Albanian, thinking that nobody can understand this shouldn't happen!

Vine bastante tarde. Se sentó inmediatamente en una mesa que se sentía un poco confusa, pero estaba demasiado cansada para quejarse. Tengo un pequeño tazón de aceitunas que no son interesantes. El pan estaba un poco rancio. Agito mi lasaña caliente bastante rápido - desafortunadamente parecía consistir principalmente en queso y una salsa. Estaba casi desprovista de carne y la pasta también faltaba. Estaba un poco en el lado salado, pero por lo demás está bien dada la falta de carne.
