Beautiful wellness hotel, excellent location in an old castle with a view of the entire town. Very clean rooms, good breakfast and a nice sauna area. Ideal for a short trip as a couple.

A very nice hotel on the Rhine with a fantastic view of the “Maus” and “Katz” castles. We chose the hotel for our honeymoon weekend and stayed there in the junior suit. The suite looked exactly like the pictures and we were not disappointed. The Happiness package did exactly what it promised with the 4 and 5 course menu. The whole thing was rounded off by the friendly staff. We will definitely come back again.

The rooms are beautiful, just a little cold for me. There are large radiators, but they only heat 1/3, maybe they would like to vent? Otherwise, it's clean, the rooms are planted and the whole area looks to the castle, a wonderful view, only if you take the bus from the river, there is a 3.2m bridge 700m in front of the hotel, you have to go around on the right side towards the highway and after 3km to the left. The service was great, the food was VINIKAJICI!!!! I definitely recommend a stay with wellness, a wonderful place

The hotel's plus points are the view of the Rhine and the multi-course menu. Unfortunately, the designated gym is literally a very disappointing joke. Already at the reception the employee was joking around that this was actually just meant as a gag. There are stones hanging on a device that you can pull up, there is a punching bag and two mats. The hotel's so-called "torture chamber" is very narrow. Sports are actually not really possible here. The staff is cold, poorly trained (when we criticized at the end it was explained that we were dealing with a trainee - why, despite the supposed level of luxury, only this one could provide is questionable) and makes several false statements (e.g. they are looking for a technician to activate the TV's casting function - the next day no one wants to know about it and it is dismissed as a "misunderstanding"). And here I come to the biggest point of criticism: the staff's lack of ability to take criticism and responsibility for any shortcomings in the hotel. They want to consistently dismiss these as “structurally caused” and have never been prepared to admit mistakes or even promise improvements. All that came out were statements like "That's your perception" which were highly invalidating and all seemed aimed at winning a discourse rather than engaging in a serious rush. This is noticeable in the hotel overall. Everything was outdated, the mood was tense/passive-aggressive and there just didn't seem to be any will to make improvements. It seems like no one wants to work here. Even at the breakfast buffet, the question about the lack of sugar seems like too much. Despite the good food, I expect a mentality of hospitality and no one who makes me feel like I'm annoying or stupid (the sugar that was set at every table wasn't set at our table, which after an initial "Yes, it's there," was corrected when I asked again, wordlessly without an apology). We left early because we felt so unwell and the stay was more stressful than relaxing. To top it off, when these points were reported back, people raised their voices towards me, even though I asked for consideration due to my pregnancy. I strongly advise against this hotel unless your own skin is thick enough to make you feel unwelcome.

This hotel is located on a hill along the Rhine River, adjacent to a large fortress. There is a main building and a villa, and the villa feels like a luxury hotel from the good old days, with a great view of the Rhine River. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was also enjoyed in the atmosphere of a classic high-end restaurant.

Spectacular for romantic moments for two or just a relaxing getaway

Stayed here for one night as a short wellness vacation and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very nice reception, rooms with a beautiful view of the Rhine. Dinner was to die for! The service there was also very courteous, professional and friendly. We felt completely comfortable. Swimming pool and sauna were also good, as was breakfast. The only small point of criticism is the shower in our standard room - it was very small even though we are not particularly tall.

With its unique location, the hotel initially makes an impressive impression. Unfortunately, this disappears as soon as you enter the room. Unfortunately, there was no trace of loving details in the sample images, such as bed canopies, stylish murals or borders on the walls. The supposedly antique furniture sits alongside doctor's office wallpaper and modern vinyl flooring. The modern-looking mirror wardrobe reveals a view of the old, dirty carpet that is still sleeping under the vinyl. The old bathroom door, carelessly painted over white, is held on its hinges by a temporary solution on Spax screws. Any hint of castle flair is gone here. Instead, the atmosphere is more reminiscent of a mechanic's apartment from the 70s. The wellness and spa area, which is very outdated, does not deserve this title either. We found a defective steam bath that would have fit about 4 people, an outdoor sauna that was closed for no reason, and an indoor sauna in which it was uncomfortably tight for 5 people. The wood is already discolored black from the sweat of many years without care. Individual boards with LEDs were screwed to the ceiling of the sauna, which was probably intended to look like a starry sky. In fact, this makeshift tinkering seems all the more frustrating. What bothered us most, however, was that there was no relaxation area. Only 3 or 4 loungers in the swimming pool are available. With 4 people, the sauna capacity for an entire hotel is exhausted. Alternatively, there is a lounge that you have to walk around the outside of the building through a glass door and down what feels like 50 steps to get to, only to find that there are guests there in street clothes. The swimming pool itself is equipped with extremely slippery tiles. Upon entering we were immediately warned by another guest that it was slippery. Despite the warning, we both almost fell. There was definitely no use of non-slip tiles here, as every swimming pool uses. In any case, wellness is out of the question here. So not all that glitters is gold.

For a 4 star hotel, we have our questions? I had booked a deluxe room in the villa. The room was clean but very dated. Rusty heating, mold in the shower, sink broken in several places, carpets in the hallways worn out. Very expensive for a hotel that desperately needs renovation. Wellness was rather limited and the outdoor sauna was broken, the Turkish steam bath was broken, etc... The quality could certainly be better for these prices

Actually, this could have been a positive review. But unfortunately in the end there was too much to complain about. We originally booked this hotel to take a little break from everyday life for one night, which is why we were looking forward to the three saunas. Then there was the disillusionment on site: two of the three saunas are currently broken, we were not informed of this either when booking online or when checking in. Furthermore, at 10 p.m. in the evening, the water pressure in our room was low and it alternated between boiling hot and cold. We raised this with the shift manager/boss when checking out on January 26, 2025. The water pressure was then checked directly. We were literally told: “We just checked the water pressure, it is normal. However, if you shower a lot in the evening, it can sometimes be lower. When it comes to the saunas, we can't match your price because a cable is broken and there's nothing we can do about it." Dear Hotel Schloss Rheinfels, I doubt that all guests would shower at the same time at this time and the temperature of the water was dangerous. In addition, much larger hotels can also do this. The boss then gave us a bottle of champagne as “compensation”. We communicated that we are not satisfied with this solution. We paid over €200 per night. We were then told, “That’s just your opinion, there’s nothing we can do about it.” Positive: - The food in the restaurant in the evening was a dream, as was the nice service. The breakfast the next morning also left nothing to be desired - the room with a balcony had a great view, and the receptionist was also very nice when we arrived As an overall verdict I can only say: we won't be coming back and won't recommend it to anyone else.

Great atmosphere, very friendly staff and a nice pool. It's a shame that only one of three saunas in the advertised wellness area works, the guest is not informed and does not receive any compensation. That doesn't suit a 4 star hotel.

What a calming and relaxing stay

A very nice hotel with great rooms, everything very harmonious. We felt very comfortable in your hotel. Starting from reception to departure. We found the entire staff to be very attentive and that they enjoy their work and that nothing is too much. The hotel has a fantastic location and atmosphere. The day began with a very good breakfast buffet and ended with a great 3-course menu in the evening. There is a feel-good atmosphere all around in this hotel. A very nice wellness area with an outdoor area including a fantastic view of the “Father Rhine”! Ms. Gottschalk's massage was a moment of pampering for the mind and soul, she has magical hands and radiates a calm that allows you to relax, and thanks again for that. We came for the Mittelrhein-Momente Gourmet Festival, a great event! We enjoyed the peace and comfort in this hotel. Unfortunately, anyone who has something to complain about here can no longer be helped. Thanks again to everyone who made the stay an unforgettable moment.

Disappointment in the castle hotel: sauna cold, service lukewarm, different standards? We arrived at this hotel this weekend. We wanted to relax from the stress of everyday work and thought: "What could be better than a hotel with a sauna, pool and a fantastic view?" When we arrived, the staff were professional but cold. We were considering upgrading our room and were shown both rooms before having to choose, which I thought was great. Due to the balcony and a higher floor we decided to upgrade. Unfortunately, this was a mistake as the insulation on the balcony door was getting old. The balcony door was very difficult to close and wasn't 100% tight. You could clearly hear the ICEs and freight trains on the nearby railway line in the room (with the balcony door closed). In general the villa was very loud, the conversations next door were always audible. It should be noted at this point that just because you book in a castle hotel doesn't necessarily mean you get a room in the castle itself. We went to the sauna area in the evening. Two of the three saunas there were broken and the outside plunge pool was closed. Very unfortunate as we came mainly for the saunas. The pool was cool. These points were not pointed out during booking or check-in. The steam sauna has been broken for at least a month (this was stated in the guest book of the spa area). Very unfortunate... When we wanted to shower in our room afterwards (around 10 p.m.), the water pressure was barely there and the water temperature fluctuated so much that you had to be careful not to burn yourself. The mattresses were very soft. At check-out we raised the problem with the saunas. The manager wasn't very friendly, whether it was because of her age (under 30) or because of our casual clothes I can't tell, but I didn't get the feeling she took us seriously. Why should it, with just under €400 for food and hotel (one night)? Here are the answers to our criticisms: * Sauna: "Can we do something about the fact that the saunas are broken?" * Water pressure and temperature: "Our technician looked at it and found no problem." Thank you for letting this manager end your stay like this. We actually enjoyed our stay and would have come back, but not like that. As a result, what was actually a 3-star rating now became a star. We did not receive a pro-rata refund, even though this is required by law, because the booked services were not provided.

We were looking forward to a lovely family celebration over the entire weekend with more than 30 people (including 9 children between 0-11 years old). The view is breathtaking, the hotel has charm, even if the building has become a bit old since our last visits. The service in the restaurant was courteous and friendly. Otherwise, the service in the hotel is rather cold to dismissive, where you as a family don't always feel welcome. The quality of the food does not meet 4 star standards. In the wellness area there are 2 defective saunas and 1 defective diving pool, thus significantly limited usability. Unfortunately, overall we felt absolutely unwelcome with children: The booking was accepted with knowledge of the composition of our travel group with children. Nevertheless, there was criticism of children playing in the courtyard and constant admonitions and citations about the reception elsewhere. This has massively limited the wonderful holiday feeling. Overall, the hotel is certainly not recommended for children and renovation work is necessary.

The hotel is located in a castle-like complex high up on the Rhine. The restaurant has a magnificent view of the Rhine. The rooms themselves (we were in the main building) are not, as some might expect, somehow medieval or rustic, but normal hotel rooms with good, clean and functional furnishings. In addition, the food, service and rooms are impeccable. The wellness area was a bit small on the weekend for the many guests; maybe it's better in summer when you can rest outside. There are enough parking spaces; some very beautiful hiking trails start directly at the hotel. The prices for overnight stays and restaurants are neither cheap nor overly expensive.

Were there over New Year's Eve. Offer is consistent. Music during dinner is very good. Service good. Standard room could be expanded. TV not connected to the internet. Sockets limited. Few drinks in the room; no tea. Food was good. Wellness area well maintained and clean. Pool a bit small for the amount of guests. There is no snack machine for in between meals.

A nice hotel with one small flaw, if you have a room in the villa you have to go to the castle (main hotel) for breakfast and when it rains this is not so nice, the staff is nice and polite, helps immediately if you need something, 👍, With the regular guest pass I feel slightly ripped off because I get a stamp PER stay, which means if I stay one night I get a stamp, if I stay 10 days I also get a stamp, if I stay ten stamps you get one night in the hotel for free I think that's very unfair, because if I stay in the hotel for ten days I pay ten times as much and get stamped out compared to someone who stays one night also gets a stamp, simply unfair!!!!!

Were there for the DaySpa. In terms of offerings - 2 saunas plus a steam bath - a bit thin compared to others. The ambience in the old castle complex is of course brilliant, as is the view. Definitely worth a visit for the price.

Nice hotel, good location, friendly reception staff, large room. However: - poor organization when booking via booking.com: we contacted the hotel several times after booking via the said website. We wanted to make sure that one of the four rooms we booked had a cot, that one of us got gluten-free meals and booked our spa treatments. Every time we spoke to someone from the hotel there was new information, for example about dinner. We wanted to book a 3-course menu. We said that several times (also in writing) and the last statement before arrival was: When you arrive at reception, you can then tell us whether you want à la carte or a multi-course menu. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that we were expecting the 3-course menu in the evening (which we didn't want anymore because we had a late lunch). Fortunately, this could be addressed in the restaurant, but it would have been easier if the agreements had been clearer from the start. When booking a massage, one sticking point was that two out of five treatments took place on the day of departure after checking out... - Spa area: very small, when there is a lot going on, you can hardly get past each other, only a pool with a few loungers, only a dark changing room, small lockers, very slippery. The masseuse seemed stressed and restless and probably had to clean up and organize a few things at the same time. The massages could not take place at the planned time (some of them arrived too late for dinner), and the stated duration was not exactly adhered to. It was difficult to calm down during the treatment because the therapist talked a lot and loudly and the bottle warmer, which was used to regularly warm the room fragrance, made annoying noises. When booking, we stated several times by phone that we wanted a massage for a pregnant woman, knowing that not everything can be done during pregnancy. All they said on the phone was that this could be discussed with the therapist on site. However, she wasn't enthusiastic about it on site and didn't want to have a massage at first. She then did a slimmed down and shortened version that was still medically acceptable (not lying on her back for too long, no massage of the thoracic and lumbar vertebrae because of possible triggering of premature labor).

Very nice location, room with a view of the Rhine, breakfast in a restaurant with a view

The hotel is beautiful with a spectacular view of the Rhine River and Sankt Goar/Sankt Goarshausen. We stayed in the Villa with a river view room. The room/bathroom felt dated, but the room was spacious and the bed comfortable. We could hear people in the room above us, especially in the bathroom. But the view and location were so lovely. The customer service at the hotel and restaurant were excellent. We especially enjoyed the extensive breakfast buffet and the view from the castle dining room. We really enjoyed our stay at Schloss Rheinfels.

Great view. Friendly staff. Rooms are a bit old fashioned, but clean and very comfortable beds. Walking from the train station up to the hotel requires a bit of fitness. But the terrace, with a view over the Rhine, easily makes up for it.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The room was sparkling clean and very stylishly furnished with a wonderful view of the Rhine. The wellness area is also great. The saunas heat very well. There are various teas, water and fruits to choose from. We can also recommend the restaurant. We had dinner here twice. Great breakfast buffet. Overall a great weekend. We'd love to come back!

Unfortunately there were a lot of construction sites there at the time to get a comprehensive impression of the castle.

The review concerns the terrace restaurant. Unfortunately we were too late, so the hotel restaurant above was already closed. So we had to go to the terrace restaurant one floor below. The terrace has a beautiful view, the service was quick and polite. But the food isn't even mediocre. We had the trout fillets and the schnitzel with onions. Both dishes were rather small and both oversalted and for 25 euros each. There was a side dish of potato salad. The taste is also completely wrong. Conclusion - You should just have a drink here and enjoy the view - eating is a waste of money! - Too bad...

I've never smoked weed before, but when you stand at the reception you immediately feel like lighting up a joint right there and then. With the flimsy argument of "safety" one's own conservative attitude is dogmatically imposed on the guests, but at the same time money is made with a much more harmful drug that is happily sold to the guests in large quantities. <Irony>It is well known that drunk/intoxicated people are completely peaceful, never tend to be aggressive or violent and do not shout. Everyone has already experienced the rampaging stoner. <Irony off>Cheers - to a bottle of nerve poison with over 70,000 deaths per year. The food was ok. The rump steaks (without mentioning the doneness) were a few millimeters crispy on the outside, but the inside was very bloody, tough and raw. You have to like that. This is how I imagine "English raw", but not medium, which is what you would expect as standard.

Unfortunately, the hotel is totally rigid and inflexible both when making the initial booking and when asking about possible rebooking options. Money was collected and then in the event of illness/disability there was no response with alternative dates, even though a longer stay was requested with an additional charge. I'm normally used to something different with a house of this "class". Very unfortunate.

I have already tried a few hotels on the Rhine. This one is in a class of its own and clearly stands out from any good standard you can come across. I have 18 years of professional experience in the catering and hotel industry myself, and I have never experienced anything like this before. From the incredibly attentive service, who brings you an ashtray or the bill, based on non-verbal gestures and even before you say it yourself, to the unique, incomparable location, the overwhelmingly varied breakfast, which really leaves nothing to be desired, to the great staff , here they strive to give the guest exactly what they came for: a wonderfully relaxing stay. And the spa area is also a hit. Small but very nice!!!! The view alone is so stunning in this fantastic location 👌👌👌 I'm already looking forward to the next stay.

A beautiful place on the Rhine, great location, a castle as a hotel, very friendly staff. What more could you want? Well, the fact that this is a 3 star rating shows that there are a lot of things that could be improved. A few examples: You sit down in the “Burgschenke” on the balcony. There are about 15 tables outside, half of which were occupied. It takes 15-20 minutes for someone to come to take an order, and the Pilsner they ordered arrives another 15 minutes later. So I wait half an hour for a small beer that costs €4. Then the booked massage/peeling. 60 minutes. The process is you come in, the peeling takes 2 minutes then you have to take a shower. Afterwards there is a vitamin pack which of course has to be absorbed for 15 minutes. The following massage lasts maybe 20 minutes, half of which is just pressing on the forehead (some esoteric nonsense about "tracks") and then there's another 10 minutes of "rest time" and then you have to leave because the room is ready for the next person needs to be prepared. In summary, a maximum of 15 minutes of the booked hour is actually a massage - that feels pretty close to cheating. Please don't misunderstand all of this, it's not all bad here (for example the food is very good, large buffet in the morning, rooms are tidy, etc.) but if I pay around €1000 for 2 nights with a massage and half board for 2 people then I expect also that 60 minutes of use is 60 minutes and that I don't have to wait half an hour for a drink. You have to be able to hire two operators if the existing one (who made an effort, it's not the fault of the person!) can't do it.

Beautiful hotel, absolutely the best location with a view over the Rhine. Great sun terrace, nice room, extensive breakfast. The hotel restaurant can only be recommended, delicious food, attentive service. We would have liked to take a packed lunch with us and spoke to three employees in the breakfast room. Unfortunately, no one responded to our request. That was the only small negative point. But otherwise absolutely recommended

We were wonderfully and attentively looked after during three nights at the beginning of August 2024. Every wish was fulfilled! Whether reception, service or room service, they were all friendly! We arrived spontaneously and received a beautiful room in the villa and, thanks to Mr. Sebbesse's personal efforts, also a parking space right in front of the house! Very helpful as a disabled senior. Elevator is in the house. And of course the location is great, wonderful terrace with a view of the Rhine and St. Goar. This view can already be enjoyed during breakfast in the wonderful winter garden! A 4 star + hotel all around and recommended!

A hotel we came across while driving along Goseong Street on a family trip. It was a wonderful hotel that made me write my first hotel review. The Rhine River seen from outside the room, the castle opposite, and the accessibility located right around the cover of Lorelei Hill. Even the honor of being able to stay one night at the Goseong Hotel.

Dejligt og hyggeligt hotel. Vi giver fire ud af fem stjerner. Hotellet mangler en god wifi i fællesområderne. Der mangler gode træningsfaciliteter. Og man kunne ønske sig aircon på værelserne. Personalet er venlige og meget servicemindede. Mad er rigtig god, både i restauranten og på terrassen hvor man kan nyde en frokost. Dejlig morgenmadsbuffet. Hotellet og værelserne er flot rengjort. Beliggenheden og udsigten er unik. Vi takker for nogle dejlige dage 😊🇩🇰

Uitstekend: het hotel zelf, de kamers, de ligging , het ontbijt en de service van het personeel. Gemiddeld : de kwaliteit van het diner ( menu van de kasteelbeleving ): niet gastronomisch maar eerder zeer gewoontjes. Was een teleurstelling voor zo’n hotel. Wellicht ook te weinig personeel. Lange wachttijden o.a. op het mooie terras voor een drankje ( zeker 30 minuten). Personeel dat er was bleef wel met de glimlach werken . Kom ik nog terug? Zeker maar zonder er te dineren.

We were guests on the Rhine terrace. What can I say, the view is beautiful but the food isn't worth a cent. We ordered zander fillet with pasta. Two lousy pieces of zander fillet were served with the cheapest noodles you can find in the supermarket. Not only did we have to wait over an hour for our food, it wasn't worth the wait at all. The food tastes better in every fast food chain. We'd love to come back to enjoy the view, but we won't order anything to eat and won't recommend it to anyone else!!! And to top it all off, the waiter wasn't able to add up the bill so we had to calculate everything on our cell phones.

We got a really great room with a great view and were therefore very satisfied. The bed was also very comfortable and the shower was a dream. The only negative points would be the noise in the hallway in the morning and that the bathroom smells a bit, probably from the drain. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great view, great location. Staff mostly unprofessional and not very friendly. The deputy was also not very friendly and not very guest-oriented. Hotel manager. Kitchen stand 80s; cooking at a low level. Quality and presentation of the food was poor. Prices for this category are significantly overpriced. The breakfast buffet was good, however. Large selection. Had rooms in the villa. Unfortunately, the bathroom is smaller than some guest toilets. Hardly any storage space. Terrace with an enchanting view of the Rhine.

Hotel Schloss Rheinfels offers incomparable views of the Rhine Valley! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the hotel made our stay as pleasant as possible. We especially want to thank the hotel staff for carrying our bags to and from the room and navigating the many stairs!

We wanted to stop here on a bike tour. Unfortunately, our daughter became “appropriately” ill (high fever). We had to cancel the tour. We canceled just over 30 minutes late. The hotel's reaction: Despite friendly inquiries, no goodwill, formulaic insistence on the terms and conditions. 200 euros cancellation costs. No rebooking, nothing. For a hotel of this class: disappointing. A pity.

Ordering drinks on the hotel terrace is almost impossible. True to the motto of avoiding eye contact with the guests, you will simply be ignored, even with 6 people at the table. The tables are not cleared or cleaned, so you can get better accommodation in any chip shop.

We went to look at the castle with two kids 1 and 3 and then wanted to have a drink on the terrace in the hotel, we waited 30 minutes and weren't served... An employee even saw me raising my hand but then went back in instead of asking us if we wanted something, so we left and of course saw the employee sitting inside sticking something with a glue stick. So sry, especially if someone is somewhere with kids, you can't leave people sitting here forever. There was also no greeting when entering or leaving the location. So we will definitely be taking this location off our menu for any occasion.

We had a wonderful stay. The whole hotel is something special. The rooms, the ambience, the wellness area, the location, the castle 🏰 We will be back!!

BE CAREFUL when booking via the hotel website. The supposedly binding reservation with a credit card on file was canceled again. Be sure to confirm your reservation by phone! I was not offered any compensation for the hassle of the cancellation. All I could have done was upgrade to a room that cost almost twice as much. There was a casual "sorry" and nothing else. Customer service and goodwill are different. In general the service was rather average. The receptionists barely look up from their computers. But we were served very friendly in the restaurant. The hotel itself has an absolutely fantastic location with a wonderful view over the Rhine Valley. The castle is wonderfully winding and beautifully decorated. A very good dinner and a great, rich breakfast with a great view. The wellness area is small. Definitely too small for a half booked hotel. We were there at the beginning of May and things were already getting tight. Unfortunately, simultaneous massage was not possible because only one person works there. Several showers in the three saunas were broken. Attention: if you live in the villa instead of the castle, you have to go outside to the wellness area! Unfortunately, the room (junior suite) had some obvious defects (missing curtain, bathtub tap without cover, defective climate control). Actually unacceptable in this price segment. All in all ok, but we expected more.

We stayed here one night. We actually didn't stay in the castle itself, but the villa right beside the castle, which I hadn't expected from booking on their website. Most of the castle fortress is in ruins, which you can pay a small entrance fee to explore. Very cool museum and history. No views from the room we had, but plenty of beautiful views outside! The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. You also get free access to their spa which includes a few saunas and an indoor pool with an outdoor sun terrace. Book the massage services ahead of time. I missed out and there were sadly no times available while we were there. The formal restaurant, Auf Scharffeneck, was also amazing for dinner with sunset views over the river.

Good hotel, very good breakfast, picturesque location. Room pleasant, although with a thick layer of dust and lint under the bed and very difficult for people who are not good on their feet. The only elevator didn't work one day, but was quickly repaired.

We stayed at Rheinfels Castle for one night. When we arrived we were speechless as the castle looked magnificent with the wonderful view. The accommodation could definitely shine even more with a few investments, as everything seems to be getting very old. Unfortunately for us, the wellness area is not well equipped (loungers, cushions for loungers outside) and is not well signposted. The 4-course dinner was disappointing. The vegetable terrine was tasteless and when we asked for an alternative to the main course, we only got another suggestion, even though the a la carte menu had a lot to offer. Given the price, we would like to be more accommodating. The staff seemed rather annoyed and uncommunicative throughout the entire stay. Even at check-out there was only a quick glance from the staff asking whether we had a nice stay. Otherwise she just stared into the PC, put the note in front of us and wished us a safe journey home.

Great hotel, unique location. We can fully recommend staying there and the restaurant.

Nice place, great location. Everything slightly overdone. The hotel staff looked exhausted and annoyed. Drink mulled wine in front of the hotel with cheap mulled wine and no Christmas music. The menu did not live up to the advertised standard. Poorly processed and moderately seasoned food. We even left two courses standing. The soup was horrible. I also told the waiter. The employees were slightly disorganized and overwhelmed.

Waiter unfriendly. Put a 70th birthday candle on the table and got yelled at because some wax dripped onto the table. At €80 per nose, I can probably expect that a candle won't cause reproach. Very unfriendly, we can't recommend it and won't come. Again. PS: Food ok, but nothing special. Nice view

We were very enthusiastic about the great location of the hotel, the beautiful and very well-kept garden. The room was very nicely decorated, large and very clean. The service staff was also friendly and accommodating. We would particularly like to praise a waiter with a migrant background who made us spend the evening in the restaurant with his extremely courteous and warm manner has embellished. Thank you for that!

The view especially from the main restaurant over the Rhine is spectacular! The service especially in the 2nd smaller restaurant that we chose for a a bit pricey dinner during our one-night stay was good! Overall it's a really nice traditional hotel that you can but don't have to visit!
