I would like to express my recommendation. My wife and I have been guests at this restaurant for almost 40 years and were excited to see what it would be like after the change of ownership. We were thrilled. We really enjoyed the pizza and the tiramisu was also great. Friendly staff who don't let themselves be put off by guests who are a bit "special". We will continue to come to you and recommend a visit to our friends.

New owner, new facility. Lasagna was reduced by half at the same price. It doesn't help if it's a portion for one person. At least this was shared with a small child (note on comment), not with another person. Bruschetta was also removed in advance. When you can't even get enough for over €30...

It was our first visit and it certainly wouldn't be our last. Warm hosts, friendly service and delicious food. Whether it was bruschetta, mixed salad (very fresh) or the tuna and linguini from the recommendation menu, everything was very tasty. Luckily there was still room for dessert, the homemade tiramisu, a dream. (and without alcohol 👍). We will try the pizza on our next visit, we are already looking forward to it.

I have been a regular customer at this restaurant for more than 20 years. When the restaurant came into new hands at the end of 2024, I was initially suspicious as to whether I would continue to feel comfortable here. From then on it exceeded my expectations. Very gracious and friendly service. The food so far has been excellent. The entire restaurant has also received a new feel-good moment thanks to the beautiful renovation. All I can say is that I'm happy to have got my "living room" back. If this continues now, one can only say that Wittenau has gained a new and really great restaurant. My path will continue to lead there in the future.

The new IL Romano is open again after renovations and new management. The old one also had its charm but now it has become a little more classy. Well done. At the opening there was Prosecco and a contemplative dessert. The starter was Vitello Tonnato and highly recommended. The bread is very fresh and delicious. A classic as a main course. Pizza Salami and Mista...also well done. All in all, it's nice that it's open again in a new look. Keep it up and good luck. We'd love to come back.

We have been regulars for years and when it was announced there was a new owner we wanted to try it on Valentine's Day and it remained just as good, if not better!! Great lasagna, incredible bolognese and incredibly delicious tiramisu! Unfortunately there is no free bruschetta anymore, but there are olives. Otherwise everything was great, the staff were incredibly nice and the food was great! It was also extremely full, so you might want to make a reservation in advance, of course it could also be on Valentine's Day. Still absolutely recommended!

Of course. An Italian as you would imagine. I usually order by phone and have never been disappointed. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. The boss is an original 😀. The restaurant is nice and has a nice ambience. Ciao 👋

Ich habe hier Spaghetti Bolognese gegessen. Die Spaghetti hatte zu wenig Soße und war auch nicht gut gewürzt, also war sie mangelhaft.

Great opening, food plentiful and good, cheap. Service is top, the new owners are the operators of the great ice cream parlor Gelateria Sole on Oranienburger Str.

The pizza is probably reheated or frozen. The pasta was also average, something went wrong

We went there for lunch spontaneously about 5 weeks ago. There was a lunch menu. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were completely sufficient for a lunch meal. As an extra (on the house) there was bruschetta (1 piece) and an espresso after the meal. The landlord is very friendly and it really tasted very good. We will definitely visit this restaurant again.

Was there again for a long time. We chose the pork fillet with salad from the daily menu. It was all very tasty. We'll definitely come back soon.

Absolutely recommended! We celebrated my mother's big birthday in the cozy Romano with around 20 people. As always, the food and service was perfect. I find the good organization of the entire team remarkable, as another birthday party was taking place at the same time and the restaurant was generally well attended. I eat spaghetti carbonara in every pizzeria I don't know. Same today... overcooked mushy pasta, unseasoned and some thin milk sauce floating in the plate, horrible. The store is big and loud. The smallest of the waiters is extremely unfriendly, spits your plates and drinks on the table, pulls a face, no thanks, never again. 62 euros too much for this Saturday.

Super nice waiters and good food. Unfortunately, there was a hair in my food and there was no apology from the waiter or any other accommodation. I'm really not fastidious, but the fact that there is no apology in such a situation is just a huge no go for a restaurant like this. We always liked going to the nice Italian restaurant next door but never again!

As always, the service was friendly and quick. The calzone was well seasoned and nice and hot. The scampi pizza is also very tasty. Unfortunately, when we asked for something spicy, there was chili, but it wasn't spicy. Please buy hot chili or Tabasco i Thank you and see you next time. 😁

I was there today and wanted to eat something with my husband. The restaurant wasn't that full but the service was probably a bit overwhelmed. We weren't even greeted and were given a menu after 7 minutes. Our table wasn't covered even though we were there before the other guests, the table that came after us would be covered straight away. We then got up straight away. I was a regular customer there years ago, what happened there? So not recommended, sorry, that doesn't work at all. Actually 0 stars

Best Italian in Berlin. Great food and typical Italian charm

There weren't many of us in the restaurant, it was a Sunday evening. We arrived at the end of evening service. And we appreciated the very warm welcome and the efficient service. The quality of the dishes is excellent. I'm italian. It was just the two of us and we were queens. As a result, we were able to discuss and exchange ideas with great pleasure and sharing with the staff.

Nice Italian restaurant near S Waidmannslust. We were there when there was a larger wedding inside. The music took some getting used to and it was louder than usual. And the food took a long time, but that was communicated upon arrival, so it was fine. The service was very friendly so far, especially considering that they had a lot to do. My pizza calzone was great, it deserves 5 stars!

Nice Italian restaurant in the north of Berlin. We found it by chance after a hike. The ambience was a bit dated, shabby, the interior seemed very dark and crowded, the tables were very close together, but we were seated in the covered outdoor area. Service was excellent, very friendly staff, drinks and food came quickly. It was tasty and the portion size was sufficient. Would come again.

We have fond memories of many visits with good friends since around 1975. Today we were once again thrilled by the atmosphere, the personal approach from the waiter (the father of a former student) and the excellent food.

It was great from start to finish, even if the occasion wasn't that great, we were pampered and the sadness was a little less, super tasty and really good prices. Please keep it up

Our regular Italian since we lived in the north. The staff is super friendly - regardless of whether it's busy or not - and the food is reasonable for the prices. I usually can't make the pizza, but you can easily have it packed up for home. In winter it's nicer to sit inside, but if it's busy, as is often the case, then you can also sit on the heated terrace.

Die Hawaii Pizza war sehr lecker ich finde ihr solltet eine Nutella Pizza rausbringen das würde gut ankommen .Riccardo ist auch sehr sympathisch

Das Essen ist hier immer lecker und empfehlenswert. Das Restaurant ist gemütlich eingerichtet und man kann hier gut verweilen. Personal immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Mein Sternabzug betrifft den Preisbereich der bei mir die Frage aufwirft, wohin er in 2024 noch steigen soll. (wofür das Restaurant an sich nichts kann)

Erst waren wir genervt,da sie die Bestellung vergessen haben und uns dann dahin platziert,wo die Kellner mit dem Essen an uns vorbei laufen,ich habe nicht mitgezählt,aber bei jedem 2 Essen,sind die an meinen Stuhl genallt...was schon nervt.Aber die waren so freundlich ,das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt,ich hab da den Limocello lieben gelernt.Danke für den netten Abend 🥳😁

Tolles Essen, super Athmosphäre, immer gut gelaunte Kellner, sehr kinderfreundlich.

Ein einfacher gut organisierter sehr typischer Italiener. Gutes Essen, Pizza und Pasta, anderes kann ich nicht beurteilen, weil esse ich beim Italiener meistens das gleiche. Egal welcher Kellner, sie sind freundlich, zugewandt und denken mit. Dazu kommt, dass alles preisgerecht ist und der Wein schmeckt auch.

Ich gehe seid 25 Jahren ins Romano, und werde weitere Jahre zum Kundenkreis dazu gehören. Gut ist eben Gut.

Obwohl ich leider nur einmal im Jahr für ein Geburtstagsessen nach Berlin ins Romano kommen kann, ist die Freude groß! Denn alles ist top geblieben, seit 10 Jahren!!! Mille Grazie!!!

Wir waren gestern das erste dort und wir waren mehr als zufrieden.Die Pizza war riesig und echt lecker.Ich hatte Nudeln mit Meeresfrüchten-ein absoluter Geheimtipp.Ich hatte noch nie so viele Meeresfrüchte auf dem Teller und die Soße war ein Highlight.Personal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.Echte Italiener.Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen und das Lokal weiterempfehlen. P.S.:Dort bekommt man für sein Geld echt noch was geboten 😊

09.2023 Anmerkung zur untenstenden Bewertung... Leider sind die Portionsgrößen weiter geschrumpft, Anmerkung gegenüber dem Betreiber wurden offenkundig abgetan... Schade 03.2023 Immer wieder eine freude. Einfach lecker, faire Preise... ok in den letzten drei Jahren sind die Preise gestiegen. Einmal offen auf der Speicherkarte und einmal verdeckt in der Größe der Portionen. Sättigungsbeilagen, Soßen und der Tellerschmuck fallen inzwischen auch kleiner aus. Anzumerken ist dabei jedoch das die Qualität ist gleich hoch geblieben ist. Das Ambiente ist, wenn auch frisch gestrichen, "Klassisch" gehalten und etwas eingestaubt...
