The food was terrible. There are two vegan dishes on the menu that we ordered. The one with rice was way too salty, spicy and apparently had too much curry paste on it, and it didn't taste good at all. The pasta one was drowned in oil and just as salty. We only ate it out of greed because it was extremely expensive for what it was.

Service very stressed, solely responsible for the entire interior area. Forgot to take our order. I'm sorry for your working conditions. Food came after 45 minutes. Had the crispy chicken burger with fries. Fries inedible, old fat and almost cold. Burger okay but soaked in fat. Unfortunately, due to cost-cutting measures, there no longer seems to be any qualified personnel at work. Price performance is by no means justified! Was my last visit here.

We went to this spa for the first time yesterday and also tested the food. Once and never again. We had the chicken burger and the currywurst. The burger simply had a chicken schnitzel and was drowned in mustard and buried under onions. Despite being hungry, the taste didn't go down halfway through. The currywurst was ok, but not a hit either. The fries were great. The price-performance ratio doesn't fit at all. I can afford to pay €18 for the burger at Peter Pane, but not in a bistro. At least we can definitely advise against burgers and currywurst.

So I can't understand all the bad reviews. I go to the bathroom regularly and then a visit here is part of it. I can't say anything negative about the food either. I've eaten a lot of different dishes in the past and I've enjoyed everything so far. Unfortunately, everything has become much more expensive in the past, but that's the case everywhere. I don't think I need to explain who is responsible for it.

Coffee tasted like it came from a cheap Dailmayr machine, watery and tasteless. Want to take two Cola Zero 0.5 with you at the exit.. €9.80.. And bye 🤣

We have now been absolutely convinced of each other in two days. Everything is just right here, the food is delicious, the price is fair and the service staff is super friendly and customer-oriented. Chapeau...honest 5 stars deserved.

How much can this chicken burger cost with a small portion of fries, a small Pepsi-Cola and a beer? 18€? That would be 5 points! 20€? That would still be 4 points! but 26.10 euros? For comparison, I posted the McDonald's Mc Crispy Chicken Burger, which is quite equivalent. It's only available for self-service in the McDonalds restaurant, but is that still appropriate when it costs about three times as much here in the thermal restaurant? I find the prices in this restaurant to be excessive. Since this has apparently been going on for a long time, as can be seen from the terrible rating (3.4) for a restaurant, the city of Staffelstein and the district should slowly take action and, for example, re-tender the lease.

I've eaten a lot of curry sausages, very good and not so good. But the currywurst I got from you, no thanks. The currywurst had no consistency, was so soft and spongy that you could hardly cut it. Not to mention the taste. The sauce that came with it had nothing to do with curry sauce, but rather with tomato puree. And the hint of curry powder on the currywurst didn't make anything better. So if you like your currywurst, you've probably never had one anywhere else. And then to collect 13.50 euros for something like that, I don't know. It's in the thermal baths, but the price would only be justified if the currywurst had been top notch.

Update 2024 After 2 years, cashless payment is still not possible. So the bad rating remains... Food is ok so far. But what's not possible is that only cash payment is accepted! We had to scrape together the last euros to be able to pay our bill. Bad Staffelstein is also not well blessed with ATMs, so if you are not a Sparkasse customer you can only withdraw money for a fee. Guys, this is a no-go! Value-added card is not a solution either! At the Hotel Rödiger I can even pay by credit card. I can imagine that due to the customer base there, you cannot escape the fees for cashless payments. Because that's what it's all about and the customers have to pay for it. What a shame!

We had reserved a table for the grill BBQ for €35 per person. Unfortunately, the buffet was very disappointing. There were only simple rolls and dry bread, no different types of baguette. The grilled cheese was like rubber, the steaks were very mixed, the turkey steaks were dry Small bratwursts were ok. Overall, the warm dishes were only lukewarm to cold. Unfortunately, no fish either. Various mushroom dishes were available as described in the offer. Unfortunately, the salads weren't any better either. 2x pasta salad with the same pasta, just different dressings, cucumber salad There was also coleslaw and red cabbage salad to choose from. The price-performance ratio just wasn't right. It's a shame!

I was able to “enjoy” a sweet chili chicken burger for an absolutely cheeky 17.30 euros. Burger roll, a piece of chicken, 2 small lettuce leaves, tomato, jalapenos and a pinch of sauce from the supermarket. Not even fries at that price. Never again!

Burger for a whopping 17.30 euros (with fries 19.80€) and all in fast food quality. Every pizza delivery service does this better. Schnitzel was OK, but the potato salad was homemade according to the menu. This was a bucket potato salad with cucumbers. Service friendly and quick.

Super delicious food. Large portions and really home-style cooking. I have rarely eaten so well. The staff was friendly and helpful. Without being asked, the dog was given his water and a treat as a farewell. We will come again when we are nearby!

Extremely cold in winter. It says barefoot restaurant on it, but that doesn't really fit with the 10 degree warm tiles. We also had to wait quite a long time, even though there was little going on. You also pay in advance, I don't think they would get a tip anyway. The food was fast food level. Still better than McDonald's, except you don't go there in swimming trunks.

We ate here after visiting the thermal spa. My salad was really excellent, extra requests were taken into account and great dressing. Spaghetti Bolognese, breaded schnitzel and penne with tuna were also very tasty. Thank you very much, we were very positively surprised and the service was also courteous, quick and nice. Rödiger's Bistro is simply great! The prices are absolutely reasonable and the food is fantastic. The portions are large and the service is quick and friendly. The self-service salad buffet is a particular highlight - so many fresh and delicious options! And for dessert there is an incredible selection of homemade cakes and tarts. We will be back definitely!

The food was actually always good, but we noticed that the service had steadily declined. Today, December 9, 2023 at 1:15 p.m. we left without ordering, 2 other guests, so nothing going on, 4 service staff behind the counter, totally chilled out, no desire to come and place an order. That's why we went again. This place isn't the only place to eat. We will avoid it in the future.

We had a candlelight dinner in the thermal baths and sat right next to the fireplace. The waitress was very nice and served us very well. The food was very good!

The food is mediocre but okay. However, very expensive. The service was chaotic and kept us waiting for a long time. Unfortunately the ice cream selection is very small and there is no Kaktus 4 friends ice cream :(. However, there are 4 stars for the ambience and the fantastic sea view. It definitely deserves its name “Bistro by the Sea”.

Heute habe ich eine Currywurst mit Pommes gegessen für 13,90 €!!! Lieblos auf den Teller gegeben, Pommes nicht knusprig. Bei mir im Ort gibt es einen fränkischen Gasthof: auf der Speisekarte = Currywurst mit Pommes für 7,90 €!!! Die Pommes sind knusprig und es ist schön angerichtet mit etwas Deko. Ich fragte die Bedienung im Rödiger nach der Besonderheit dieser in meinen Augen preislich völlig überzogenen Wurst. Die völlig unbefriedigende und enttäuschende Antwort: wir machen die Preise nicht, das macht der Chef. Deshalb möchte ich meine Frage gern weitergeben - zumal ich hier in einem Bistro und nicht in einem Gasthof gegessen habe.

Ein kulinarisches Paradies! Das Bistro in der Obermain Therme Bad Staffelstein ist einfach fantastisch. Das Ambiente ist wunderschön, mit Blick auf die Becken des Thermalbades.

Besonders beeindruckt hat mich das reichhaltige Buffet mit den hausgemachten Kuchen und Torten. Die Kaffee- und Tee-Spezialitäten haben das Erlebnis abgerundet. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Ich kann das Bistro am Meer uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

Die Mitarbeiter dort sind sehr freundlich und fragen auch regelmäßig nach einem. Thema Essen und Tische die Tische werden leider nicht wirklich sauber gemacht gäste müssen sich an noch nicht abgeräumt Tische setzten und jetzt Thema essen der preis ist relativ in ordnung aber was ich leider sehr schade finde ist das im essen Haare und abgekaute Fingernägel sind da ist mir leider der Appetit vergangen!

Im Außenbereich kann man sehr gut sitzen und hat den Blick auf die Gäste der Obermain Therme. Das Bistro ist direkt an die Obermain Therme angeschlossen. Die selbstgebackenen Kuchen schmecken sehr gut. Am allerbesten der Pflaumenkuchen mit Streuseln. Ein Kompliment an die Bäckerin. Auch der Cappuccino war sehr gut. Den Service fand ich flott und sehr freundlich 😊. Das Bistro ist empfehlenswert 👍.

Guten Tag liebes Team des Rödiger's Bistro,ich möchte mich heute ganz ganz herzlich bei Ihrem Team des Bistro bedanken für Ihre Empathie,für die Menschlichkeit, für die Hilfe und vor allem für die Lösungsvorschläge vom gestrigen Nachmittag. Auch ein herzlichen Dank an die Küche für die Hilfsbereitschaft mir als Mensch mit Handicap, mir wurde das Fleisch vorab zu in kleine Stücke geschitten,da ich nicht mehr alleine schneiden kann. Ich kann das ganze Team nur weiter empfehlen und natürlich auch das leckere Essen ! Sandra Bauer Bamberg

Wir haben einen Kaffee, einen Aperol und einen Himbeerkuchen bestellt. Auf Nachfrage, weil er uns nicht geschmeckt hat, wie der Aperol gemischt wurde, bekamen wir zu Antwort, dass das ein Fertigprodukt wäre. Für 6,10 Euro zu teuer und auf die Frage , ob die den zurücknehmen und wir was anders bekommen (dann lieber Wasser) wurde gesagt, dass das nicht geht. Alles in allem kein netter oder freundlicher Service und kein Bistro, das man gerne wieder besucht.

Sehr leckeres Essen und sehr sehr nettes Personal.

Bisher sind wir immer gern vor der Therme hier essen gegangen. Der Chef Salat war ein Traum. Leider wurde dieser aus der Karte gestrichen und auch am Personal wurde wohl einiges geändert. Wir wurden von einem, mit offenem Mund Kaugummi kauenden, Mann bedient, der einen recht gleichgültigen Gesichtsausdruck trug. Auf die Frage ob der Salat des Tages Dressing bei hat kam erst ein Nein und anschließend ein Ja ohne Information welcher Dressing dazu gereicht wird. Das Essen wurde leider zu unterschiedlichen Zeitpunkten gebracht von einer weiblichen Bedienung die ebenfalls freundliches Auftreten nicht zu ihren Stärken zählen darf. Das Essen selbst war ok. Die Penne mit Tomaten-Thunfisch war sehr wässrig und das tomatige an der Soße waren die Tomatensücke. Der Salat mit Garnelen dagegen war sehr gut. Rundherum jedoch werden wir künftig wohl nicht mehr hier essen gehen.

Netter Biergarten mit viel Kleinigkeiten für zwischendurch!!!

Ich gehe zum Café trinken hinx und bin jedesmal von der Kuchen und Torten Auswahl begeistert. Es schmeckt einfach fantastisch. Streuselkisch- Streusel Rhabarberkuchen Bienenstock und Schokoladensahne sind meine Favoriten. Bei sonnigem Wetter im Garten sitzen bei Café und Kuchen. Das ist Lebensqualität.

Essen war OK, netter Biergarten. Anfangs hatten wir eine sehr freundliche Bedienung, es folgten dann aber zwei jüngere, die sehr unmotiviert wirkten und kaum ein Wort rausgebracht haben, Lächeln Fehlanzeige. Tütchen Ketchup kostet extra, kenn ich so jetzt gar nicht.

Mein Mann hat ausdrücklich nach Coca Cola ohne Zucker gefragt und er hat normale Coca Cola mit Zucker bekommen. Er ist Diabetiker und es ist nicht in Ordnung, dass sie in einem Restaurant so schlampig arbeiten. Ich hoffe, dass es in Deutschland ein Gesetz geben wird, dass Getränke nicht in Gläsern getragen werden dürfen, sondern dass die Flasche mit dem Getränk vor den Gästen geöffnet werden muss. Und nicht so, wer weiß, was die da drüben in unsere Gläser gießen. Und der Fisch war nicht frisch. Sie roch nach faulem und altem Fisch. Gastronomie muss man etwas ernster nehmen.
