Infantile völlig überforderte Bedienungen, zunächst hatten sie unser Hauptgericht vergessen und dann warteten wir noch 45 Minuten darauf. Einer der Kellner sprach weder deutsch noch englisch. Der Gipfel war, dass wir insgesamt dreimal aufgefordert wurden den Tisch zu wechseln um ihn für andere Gäste frei zu machen. Das Essen war gut, aber viel zu teuer. FAZIT: Dieses Lokal ist völlig überbewertet und nicht empfehlenswert.

Wir waren begeistert von der peruanischen Küche. Als Starters gab es Ceviche und danach einen leckeren Pulpo. Abgerundet mit Pisco sour! Fantastisch!

Probably one of my top 5 favorite restaurants in Berlin. The staff are always super nice and friendly, and the atmosphere is cosy. The dishes are so beautifully served and extremely tasty. My personal favorite so far was Lomo Saltado con Risoto, although pork belly was amazing as well. Looking forward to trying other dishes too!

The dishes are really tasty, but I expected more. This may certainly be due to some of the reviews. Some people seem to be willing to travel long distances to dine at this restaurant. Above average restaurant, yes, but not exceptional either. The appetizers were the best. As is often the case in restaurants, the main courses cannot keep up with the high level of starters.

Zum Abschluss gab es Crème Caramel, die ebenfalls sehr gut schmeckte. Lediglich die unbequemen Stühle im Außenbereich sind zu bemängeln.

Everything was super delicious here! Incredible. I had the pancetta which was cooked to perfection, and paired so well with the sweet potato purée. The staff was very helpful and friendly too. Makes me want to visit Peru and try all their cuisine 🤩

The food was nothing special, but it was expensive and the portions were quite small. The biggest issue, however, was the service. While bad service is not uncommon for Berlin, it was disappointing to experience at such a restaurant where we spent more than 100 euros for only 2 people. The waitresses barely paid attention and were indifferent, unfriendly, and slow. Our meals took over an hour to be served, and when I wanted to order a second drink, we couldn’t make eye contact with the two waitresses serving the few tables outside—they chose to look down and avoid assisting us. For the amount of money we spent, it left a sour taste in our mouth. I recommend avoiding until they sort out the waiting staff.

Fantastic experience. Sweet people serving fantastic food. Chill atmosphere. Enjoyed the almost Michelin quality food with my better half.

Great restaurant! The not-quite-traditional dishes taste really good. The taste of the Chicha Morada catapulted me straight to the Peruvian Andes. I can only recommend everyone to try it out!

The dishes still look good, but unfortunately they're not as special as they used to be. In terms of taste, they aren't anything out of the ordinary either. I don't think it's worth going there specifically for this.

If you want to feel a touch of vacation in the middle of Berlin and immerse yourself in the culinary diversity, this is absolutely the right place for you! Small but nice menu and yet you can't decide because everything sounds and was really delicious. We will be back definitely

Peruvian fine food in Schoenberg, Berlin! One of our best meals in years and better than many 1-star Michelin restaurants. Although ceviche has been adopted from Peru worldwide, the ceviche at Rocoto is outstanding. The chef himself works very hard, along with his professional yet informal waiters, to ensure a very enjoyable service. Our French-born waitress was lovely, and spoke excellent English. Low volume Peruvian music added to the ambiance. We had and highly recommend: *The ceviche trio, each with a different, delicious lime sauce. * The yellowfin tuna tartar tacos (4 PCs, the star of our meal) * Tuna tataki quinoa salad with kumquat sauce. Each fish in our meal was ultrafresh. * The lomo (pork) strips with risotto. They were even willing to make a lactose-free risotto which was surprisingly good We had a bottle of Spanish white wine which was very good and not overpriced. The bill came at 65EU for two very satisfied customers!

We really enjoyed the vegetarian mushroom pans. The service was friendly but they forgot to bring us the drinks we ordered and also that we wanted to pay.

Very very tasty! We had ceviche trio as a starter and tuna and octopus as our main course. It was great. In addition, my friend got a delicious dessert because it was her birthday. Very nice staff!

Awesome food and friendly service, however at this price point you really can't afford to have waiters that have not tasted the menu & wines. I dont know if it was temps called in for the night or just new staff, but the lack of training was not on par with the awesome food. Just to clarify, the staff was very very friendly, it was just obvious they were not trained properly on the menu.

Yesterday we went to this great restaurant with our best friends. The welcome was very warm . The food is incredibly good and delicious. Tasty food, friendly staff and a very nice atmosphere!

The Rocoto completely convinced me. There were five of us visiting there and so we had a pretty good cross-section of the menu. From the tacos as a starter, to the pulpo as a main course, to the various desserts: I couldn't imagine any improvement in any dish. The service was also very friendly and accommodating. My next visit to Berlin will be a visit to Rocoto. Keep it up!

Despite our turning up a full 24 hours early, we were fitted in, and how pleased we were: brilliant atmosphere, the most delightful service and food to die for. A must-do for anyone seeking a bit of culinary diversity.

I loved the ceviches. I will go back to try them all. Reservation required several weeks in advance. The room can quickly get noisy, we had a group next door and we couldn't hear each other talking... it's bad luck.

The big plus: the food was really good! In addition to the great and balanced taste, the presentation was also convincing. I would come back for this at any time. Unfortunately, the drinks were a disappointment (the wine I wanted was out, the alternative offered was irrelevant, the craft beer on tap - I was happy about it - was flat). And the big (and unfortunately predominant) minus was the extremely loud noise in the rather small dining room. Especially when the larger tables have lively discussions, it becomes difficult to bear. Unfortunately, the conversation became tiring and the evening was a bit un-relaxed. Unfortunately for me it will remain just one visit.

The Rocoto on Winterfeldtstrasse is located on the sous-terrain and has red bare brick walls inside. At first it feels very cozy and warm, but I had the feeling that the lighting was a bit too bright and therefore the warm atmosphere was a bit too bright suffers. But that's probably the only negative thing I can comment on and that's complaining at a high level. Overall, you still feel comfortable in the Rocoto. Now let's move on to the main categories of the review: The food. The dishes were wonderful. The starter was the Ceviche Classico, medium spicy. For the standard German, this level of spiciness is certainly completely sufficient to rate the spiciness as pleasant. If you like spicy food, you should order a higher level of spiciness, then you get a little more “kick” in the ceviche. The fish was wonderfully fresh and tender, the two corn varieties went well together and the marinade had a pleasant acidity and a slight spiciness. I will definitely ask for a little more spiciness next time. :-) The main course was octopus with potatoes and it was partly crispy but overall buttery and very well seasoned. The chimmichurri was nice and fresh with an intense garlic note, only the sauce could have been a little more for me (because it was so tasty). The dessert was also very tasty, because everyone at the table was already full, the three of us shared a dessert to try a spoonful each. The service also left nothing to be desired, was very friendly, explained everything and was very accommodating. Overall a very positive visit. Of course you should know that the Rocoto is not cheap in terms of price but is very fair for the freshness and quality.

Best Peruvian restaurant in Berlin! Cozy environment, delicious and authentically Peruvian food. The ceviche was super fresh, with real Peruvian ingredients and perfectly balanced. I also really enjoyed the “pulpo al olivo”, perfectly texture and nice blend of flavors. The servers were also super friendly and helpful, even though we asked for an extra “canchitas” quite a few times 😅. 100% recommend!

Had to write this post as I had an amazing experience. 🍲 All the ingredients were fresh. We had ceviche, and the fish was incredibly tasty. Lomo saltado was out of this world. Beef was super tender and juicy, and risotto was creamy 😋 🍻 great selection of draft beer, and their pisco sour was very nice, with a properly done egg white on top 📋 - service was relatively fast, and people were friendly and attentive

How delicious it all was! That time when I go to Rocoto for dinner and the next morning I'm dreaming of tuna tacos again. Thank you, for always being so delicious. We go to Rocoto for dinner at least once a month (the main thing is to remember to make a reservation). We always order mixed seviche and tuna tacos, which are two of my favorites.

That was a wonderful visit. The three types of ceviche for starters were all great. The Pisco is delicious. We had causa and tuna as a main course and loved it. Not only were the dishes beautifully prepared, they also tasted great. Very finely tuned so that every component really had its place and could then shine in the composition. The entire staff was super friendly and rounded off the lovely evening. I found the prices to be very fair. You should just make a reservation. We were lucky to get a table spontaneously.

The restaurant was very busy, which meant that waiting times were quite long. Our table was at the door - unfortunately very cold in winter. We'll definitely be back in the summer.

I have been looking forever for pork belly that tastes like this!!! Thank you so much for having amazingly delicious food! The 3 ceviches were amazingly delicious, the fried yuca perfectly crunchy and sauced, and it all made me want to move back to Peru, so I say Rocoto does exactly what a restaurant aims for. Oh and the Pisco sour with passion fruit 🔥❤️. Already planning my multiple returns 🙌🏽

Everything was delicios, my favourite were the tuna tacos. And the stuff was very friendly and helpful. We were sitting close to the entrance and next to some high chairs which made the atmosphere feel not very cozy. But the service and the food compensated for that.

Wir hatten ein ganz wunderbares Dinner im Rocoto und hatten mehrere Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte, die allesamt sehr lecker und von hoher Qualität waren. Besonderes Highlight waren die Dreierlei Ceviche als Vorspeise und der Pulpo zum Hauptgang, aber auch die Muscheln und Fleischgerichte waren ganz fantastisch und toll angerichtet. Ebenso waren die als Aperitifs und Digestifs servierten Drinks alle sehr gut. Der Service, bei dem wir uns an dieser Stelle nochmals ganz herzlich bedanken möchten, war jederzeit aufmerksam und rundet das großartige Gesamtbild wunderbar ab. Das Restaurant ist mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gut erreichbar. Parken kann man im öffentlichen Verkehrsraum - einen exklusiven Parkplatz gibt es nicht.

Von außen sehr unscheinbar, auch die Inneneinrichtung ist einfach gestaltet, aber schon beim Eintritt wird man sehr warm begrüßt. Die Karte hat eine schöne Auswahl an außergewöhnlichen Gerichten. Aber der absolute Star für uns war das Ceviche. Die Gerichte sind sehr schön hergerichtet und der Geschmack ist eine absolute 11 von 10. Jeder Bissen zergeht einem auf der Zunge. Man spürt förmlich die Liebe zum Kochen. Auch der Service war sehr herzlich und zuvorkommend. Hier spürt man, dass der Fokus darauf beruht, den Gast mit leckerem Essen und kleinen Gesten, zu verzücken. Es ist ein absoluter „Must Visit“ in Berlin! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Ein Erlebnis, von einem unglaublich sympathischem Team auch noch mit so leckerem Essen und Pisco Sour bedient zu werden rundete den Abend vollkommen ab. Uns gefiel auch sehr, wie das Essen serviert wurde,alles mit Liebe zum Detail. Wir kommen wieder.

Having lived for 3 years in Berlin and gone to a high number of restaurants including starred restaurants, i can safely say Rocoto is my favorite in Berlin, period. What chef Andrès is doing is simply out of this world. The dishes might seem simple but you can tell the absolute best ingredients are being used which gives every bite it's uniqueness. There is simply not a single faux-pas, every bite melts in your mouth from the cocktails to the dessert. Incredible !

A very good Peruvian restaurant in Berlin. Here you can enjoy Peruvian cuisine (some traditional dishes have a new twist) in a relaxed atmosphere while drinking a good Pisco Sour. The owner Andres personally attends to his guests, so take advantage and ask him about the dishes.

Busy Peruvian restaurant with ok service and beautifully arranged plates. Appealing to the eye and taste buds. Very tender beef, fresh Tuna and good drinks. With almost €50 for one starter and a main plus two homemade lemonades it's rather expensive. At those prices it's just not special enough to come back.

Food was quite amazing and probably the best Peruvian we’ve had in quite some time. Pulpo, ceviche, sea rice, and the cheesecake were stellar. Waitstaff was problematic. Should spend less time playing on their phone. Several tables around were annoyed. Even flagging down staff took forever to get noticed.

The flavors of the food were beautifully harmonized, with texture and presentation also perfectly synchronized, reflecting a level of culinary excellence.

Wir waren an einem Donnerstag Abend im Restaurant und auch unter der Woche sollte man einen Tisch reservieren. Das Essen war sehr gut und auch die Portionsgrößen waren für die Preise absolut angemessen. Wir hatten eine Flasche Wein, die nicht überragend war, aber für das Preisniveau, auf dem sich die gesamte Weinkarte bewegt, ist das absolut in Ordnung. Der Service hätte etwas aufmerksamer und schneller sein können, aber es bleibt ein sehr positiver Gesamteindruck in Erinnerung.

I'd never had Peruvian food before but it was delicious. WE had the Avocado burger and Panceta Crocante and both were really good, tasty and beautifully presented. With two pisco sours it came to 62 euros. Great service too

Though I'm not a pro on Peruvian food, and Bolivians would hate me for saying this, it tasted pretty legit and traditional. Also had a Peruvian colleague approve of the food, which means it's double legit. Either way, definitely worth checking out based on price and authenticity!

Excellent Peruvian restaurant with very kind service. We had the ceviche mix (the one that is a bit of each ceviche), the tuna one was excellent, and the fish servings were very generous. We also ordered the pork belly, at the beginning I did not like the pure too much, but when mixed with the sauce of the dish it became quite tasty. The pork belly was very well cooked, the caramelisation was achieved very well. Service was kind and quick. And the restaurant itself was quite cozy.
