Unfortunately the food wasn't particularly good. One of the cheeks was tough, the mushrooms with bread dumplings were really borderline (simple mushrooms and dry dumplings), the schnitzel was okay.

After a hike we just had a drink, it was very pleasant to sit outside. I can't say anything about the food or the service.

Fantastic view from the terrace in the beer garden. Coffee and cake are very tasty, the “real” food is also quite tasty. The prices are rather high, a small cup of milk coffee for €4 - but given the atmosphere I'm willing to pay that. We come here regularly when the weather is good, and it's always a nice walk from Gönningen. The children are motivated by resting here in the restaurant 😉

Food very good, service too. A successful mix between self-service and service. You order from the “drinks cart”, where you can also take the drinks with you. The food is finally brought. We had fitness bowl and schnitzel and a large drink each. Of course you should also walk up the tower. Can only recommend...

Today we went on our company outing from the community of sonnenbùhl to Roßberg, cold and wet, when we got to the restaurant it was cozy and warm and the food and staff were TOP THANK YOU TO THE OWNERS.

Actually zero stars, but unfortunately that's not possible. We went to the Roßberg with happy anticipation and: Closed company. It would be great if you mentioned this on the homepage, then you can save yourself the trip. Too bad!

Very nice hiking restaurant. We sat outside in beautiful sunny weather. In my opinion, price/performance is completely okay 👍.

We had a great event with a meal at the top of the tower, followed by a nightcap in the restaurant and then off to bed in the tower room. Thank you again for your efforts. Poor Tim had to carry everything up the 140 stairs. And that several times.

Very nice beer garden with a great view (be sure to climb the tower) and well-organized self-service (order and pick up drinks in the car, food is brought). A nice, cooler place for hot summer days. The food was very good, especially the salad bowls and the onion roast. As an improvement, it would be good to serve the bread for the sausage salad on a separate plate so that the bread doesn't immediately soak up the sauce. The cheese spaetzle in the Schwabenteller was made more with cream than with cheese, which was a bit of a shame.

Ordered food for 3 adults and 3 children. Two meals for adults were not brought, and then we had to queue forever and wait even longer for the two meals. Service very bad

My go-to point for my bike tours. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Otherwise a wonderful view from up there.

I'm absolutely thrilled, everything was perfect, great service, the food was very tasty... I can highly recommend it... come back...

We celebrated our wedding here in May. Everything was exactly as we had hoped. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. The champagne reception was also fantastically beautiful with the view. The service couldn't have been better. Steven served us. Very funny and courteous person.

Very friendly staff, they have everything well under control, even at larger events. Overnight stay OK, functional and clean. Good and rich breakfast.

We had the pleasure of celebrating our family celebration at the Rosberg restaurant in Reutlingen and we couldn't be happier. The view from the restaurant is simply breathtaking and offers a perfect setting for any celebration. The food was outstanding - from starters to dessert, every course was a delight. The quality and taste of the food was excellent and it was obvious that the attention to detail was paid to the cooking here. The service staff was equally impressive. Friendly, attentive and always there to make sure we don't lack anything. Your professionalism and warmth made our stay particularly pleasant. Overall, our experience at Rosberg Restaurant was simply fantastic. We can highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back. Thank you for the unforgettable day!

Was invited to a wedding ceremony. Was there for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised. The ambience and service was excellent. The food was also very tasty and beautifully prepared. The restaurant is highly recommended.

Nice beer garden on the Rossberg. Unfortunately, today on Whit Monday all the tables were occupied when the weather was nice. There are a few small tables next to the barbecue area, at least one could drink wheat,😅

The prices are really steep...the view is quite ok

Great destination for hiking or cycling tours (although some fitness is required). But you can also drive comfortably and park upstairs. But then it's less fun. Once you reach the top you will be rewarded with a wonderful view. As everywhere else, prices for drinks and dishes are no longer cheap, but not overly expensive either. 0.5 beer currently costs just under €5. It was delicious and you didn't have to wait long.

Very tasty vegetarian food. I ate a bowl, very well prepared. The staff is very friendly.

All in all we were really satisfied. At 12 o'clock sharp we got a table outside with a great view and fast service. The combination of self-service and service worked great and was uncomplicated. Waiting times in the order queue are also kept to a minimum. The food is great and the value for money for the quantity and quality of the food is unbeatable! Only the sausage salad could have been seasoned a little better and unfortunately one of our shandy wasn't fully filled. But of course that's complaining at a high level :) I'd love to come back!

A different concept, you order outside at the Wägele, the food comes out of the kitchen very quickly. The view is priceless, it worked for me!

Beautiful location with great views! Good service. Still disappointing! Disappointment 1: after a 3-hour hike on the first really warm day of spring there was only lukewarm mineral water. Disappointment 2: there is almost nothing without gluten. As a result, I could only eat a side salad myself. It is particularly annoying that sauces are thickened with wheat flour instead of corn flour or potato flour!!! This is from the last century. Allergens are generally not specified! Disappointment 3: the food is completely overpriced!!! In our group we had Kässpätzle with almost no cheese. The salads were very poor! The pilgrimage was tasteless and mini! Overall, you get the impression that you are maximizing profits above all! We won't be coming back and would like to motivate the management to offer customers more at these prices, which are overpriced for a hiking restaurant!

Great place to stop for a break, delicious food. Unfortunately, the waiting time for us was very long.

The ambience is rustic and the service team is attentive. Nice stopover for hikers and cyclists. I personally found the prices very high. For schnitzel with spaetzle and salad, not quite 20 EUR, the salad was plenty; but everyone has to decide that for themselves. The salad could be presented more beautifully and not served in a small bowl.

Great viewpoint, very friendly staff and great food. A dream when the weather is nice. Highly recommended.

Down-to-earth and excellent cuisine with friendly service

The hike was really worth it. The food was to die for. We had an onion roast and a vegan bowl. Absolutely delicious. The service was super friendly and really on the ball. We will come back, no question. Reservations are also recommended here.

It was simply wonderful. We stayed overnight in the hiking hostel. Great dinner and breakfast buffet and super friendly staff who take extra care of little guests. Oh yes: there are great views and landscapes here too!

The food didn't sit well in the stomach. - Potato salad, lowest level. Just vinegary. - If dumplings are fried, they are probably from the day before. - Mushroom sauce, salty. - Food was served on cold plates.

Fast and friendly service. Drinks and food come to the table quickly after you order. It's very busy on weekends, so reservations aren't necessary, but they're helpful. All employees always try very hard to find or provide a place. Always a nice excursion destination.

Of course great supervision, schnitzel quite okay, fresh salad and delicious cappuccino, the apple pie was also very good. It was worth it :-)

The location is beautiful and the tower is worth climbing. You can also drive up to the Rossberg, but it's worth taking a short hike up from the hiking car park. The restaurant is spacious and pragmatically furnished. But you can feel comfortable here. We were warmly welcomed and the service was quick and flawless. The Swabian feast consisted of schnitzel, Maultaschen and Kässpätzle. The Kässpätzle were extremely creamy and had no structure on the palate. They also lacked a lot of spice. These delivered the melted onions on top but decently. Unfortunately the schnitzel was probably knocked to death or whatever. It also lacked spice and structure. But the Maultaschen was a very, very good one! Despite very good service and good beers here, what was served to us on our plates was a bit disappointing.

Really a hiking restaurant with the charm of days gone by but everything is well maintained and clean. The food is really delicious!! The observation tower is also great, worth it. The only problem is that it's really for hiking if you're no longer good on foot (like my mother at 85) finds a very problematic parking situation. That's why, but only because of that, "only" 4 stars, otherwise, as I said, great.

War richtig toll Silvesterfeier auf am Roßberg ....sehr nettes Personal und Chef ....Essen und Frühstück am nächsten Morgen sehr gut.

Wir waren viele Jahre nicht mehr im Restaurant essen und waren begeistert! Super leckeres Essen, wo sich so manch ein Restaurant eine Scheibe abschneiden kann. Alle 6 Gerichte waren top, der Nachtisch (Kaiserschmarrn und Apfelstrudel) verdient einen Preis! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Endlich hat sich was getan auf dem Roßberg! Super Ausflugsziel, wunderschöner großer Biergarten mit Ausblick! Nette Bedienung und moderate Preise. Klare Empfehlung! Den Roßberg muss man auf seiner Alb-Wandertour mitnehmen***

Schönes Wanderheim, mit Aussichtsturm. Preislich noch in Ordnung. Schade, dass bei schönstem Wetter, der Turm wegen Vereisung nicht geöffnet war.

Traumhaftes Essen mit klasse Aussicht kombiniert mit herausragend freundlichem Personal rundet den Besuch auf dem Roßberg ab. Die Inhaber haben alles richtig gemacht :D

Schöne Aussicht, leckeres Essen

Der Roßbergturm ist einfach immer wieder ein tolles Ausflugsziel! Dazu kann man es sich im Restaurant gut gehen lassen, leckere Kuchen und gute deutsche Küche geben Kraft für den Weg auf den Turm. Oben angekommen sieht man über die ganze Region. Bei unserem Besuch musste nur etwas mehr Zeit eingeplant werden, da das Personal nicht sehr koordiniert war. So kam die Vorspeise nach dem Essen oder man wurde 3x hintereinender gefragt ob man noch etwas möchte. Trotz allem waren alle sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Ich komm gerne wieder.

Heute einen Spaziergang hoch zum Roßberg gemacht. Überraschend gute Küche und SUPER Personal. Wirklich zu empfehlen.

Tolles Wanderlokal mit freundlichem Service. Ochsenbäckchen waren sehr zart & geschmacklich hervorragend. Man konnte noch auf den Turm und dem Wahnsinns Ausblick über die Schwäbische Alb bis zu den Alpen genießen.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Der Service brauchte anfangs ein bisschen, um dann, je länger wir da waren, immer besser zu werden. Nach 21Uhr kann man sich noch mit Getränken aus einem Kühlschrank selbst versorgen. Wir haben oben in einem der Turmzimmer übernachtet und hatten am Morgen einen wunderschönen Blick bis in die Alpen. Von mir ne klare Empfehlung.

Sonntags um 16.30 Uhr ist die Kaffeemaschine schon geputzt, Kaltgetränke würde man auf Nachfrage noch bekommen. Öffnungszeiten bis 17.00 Das fanden wir einen schlechten Service!

Super Lage, wunderschöne Aussicht..... Essen ist super lecker... Draußen ist Selbstbedienung, aber dad is vollkommen in Ordnung...... Kommen immer wieder gern mit dem Fahrrad oder zu Fuß ,da die Parkplätze an der Gaststätte rar sind.

Die Wanderung zum Roßberg hat sich in jeder Hinsicht gelohnt. Tolle Aussicht, schon der Weg ist toll. Das Essen gibt 5 ⭐, der Service und der Wein top, ebenfalls 5⭐. Es gibt auch Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten im Turm.

Die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und sollten mal renoviert werden. Das Essen ist solide, aber nicht mehr. Der Ausblick ist gigantisch.

Ich finde es klasse. Ein tolles Wanderheim. Unschlagbare Lage. Essen ist extrem gut. Im Endeffekt Selbstbedienung, Essen wird serviert. Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten sind vorhanden.
