We ate here, and it was truly exceptional. The man who served us was incredibly nice, and the food was very good. The value for money is truly top-notch.

The appetizer and pizza were delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was pleasant and the prices were more than fair. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant, located away from the hustle and bustle.

The food was cold... The meat wasn't cooked through... The server's response to the cold food was, "We have so much to do that everyone is tired." That's no excuse for me...

The food was delicious. We had pasta and salmon. The salmon was especially delicious. I was bothered by the red glasses that were upside down (opening down) on the not-so-dirty but unwashed table runner. Guests who ordered water, for example, were served their drinks in these glasses. The forks were placed directly on the table or, as in my companion's case, directly on the table runner. The knives were placed on the napkin. A few minor things that could be improved.

Three of us spontaneously went there one evening and were absolutely thrilled. Firstly, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Moselle from the terrace, and secondly, the food is truly delicious. The menu is a bit smaller but more select; the pasta is homemade and fresh, and the regional wines are a perfect match. The service is very friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend it!

Very good service, the food is excellent, freshly prepared, and varied thanks to the weekly menu. You can also get typical Italian dishes that you wouldn't find at a "standard pizzeria," as well as unusual dishes. The value for money is great. We go there regularly and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended, even on holidays like Christmas.

We were at Riva again yesterday with a group of seven. The food was very good as always, the staff is super friendly, and you can even get Italian dishes that you wouldn't normally get at a pizzeria. And it doesn't cost any more than at a pizzeria. The view over Bernkastel and the Moselle is very beautiful. To the team, thank you for a lovely evening with mushrooms.

The well-selected and, above all, very authentically prepared dishes and the changing, very varied weekly menu with many highlights result in a wide selection of many different Italian dishes. The menu offers fish and meat dishes, vegetarian dishes, pasta dishes, pizzas, and other dishes of excellent and freshly prepared quality. The value for money is absolutely top-notch and no more expensive than in conventional restaurants. The service is very friendly and relaxed, the ambiance is very stylishly decorated, and the view over Bernkastel-Kues is truly remarkable. A clear recommendation.

We were a group of nine Danes who visited Riva Restaurant at 1 p.m. on May 31, 2025. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly waiter who showed us to a table on the terrace. We tried a variety of dishes, and everyone was very pleased with what they ate. The dishes were extremely delicious. The service was really good, fast, and friendly, and the waiters had a pleasant and relaxed sense of humor. We highly recommend Riva.

Wir waren eine Gruppe von 9 Dänen, die am 31. Mai 2025 um 13 Uhr das Restaurant Riva besuchten. Als wir ankamen, wurden wir von einem sehr freundlichen Kellner begrüßt, der uns zu einem Tisch auf der Terrasse führte. Wir haben verschiedene Gerichte gegessen und jeder war sehr begeistert von dem, was er gegessen hat. Die Gerichte waren äußerst lecker. Der Service war wirklich gut, schnell und freundlich und die Kellner hatten einen netten und entspannten Humor. Wir können Riva wärmstens empfehlen.

We wanted to eat here on the terrace today. Unfortunately, the 18 degrees Celsius was too cold for the waitress to offer service on the terrace. It's disappointing when the waitress is so inflexible that they don't even want to accept self-service. I don't even want to mention the atmosphere. Very disappointing.

The food was really delicious!! Had a tapas board with cheese/meat and some bread beforehand. My husband had spaghetti carbonara and I had the steak (with extra potatoes). It was really delicious!

Silvester gab es abgespeckte Karte. Sehr enttäuschend. 3 x Nudeln, 2 x Fleisch. Mit Soßen aus der Kantine. Viel vorgewärmt, dafür wenig Geschmack. Als Jahresabschluss nicht zu empfehlen. Und die Aussage des Kellners, es gäbe keine Spaghetti Bolognese weil der Koch auch mal was anderes kochen wolle hilft keinem hungrigen Gast. Am Gesichtsausdruck der anderen Gäste schließe ich, ch bin nicht alleine. Guten Rutsch.

I can't recommend the food didn't taste good, got no replacement despite not eating any of the pizza. Was it still fully calculated? Expensive price/performance ratio was impossible in our opinion

One of our 'standard stopovers' on our vacation!!!!!! July 30, 2024 Correction. The menu on the internet differs from the actual one on site == so fix it immediately. I was told that there were no 'resources' - staff and supplies. The menu has become more reduced from year to year 🤔🤔what's going down the drain. And sorry, the approach, not really customer-oriented. Blame it on the customers, peak times? Either a high-class restaurant, then you can handle it, or it was nice to meet you. If 'Riva' reduces its menu, we will reduce our visit!!!!

We ate sea bream with mushrooms, vitello tonnato as a starter, bruschetta and Mediterranean vegetables, everything was great!! Good wine selection, pleasant prices and service!!

The restaurant offers a very nice, stylish and relatively quiet atmosphere. There has never been anything wrong with the food so far. I can highly recommend the tomato soup as a starter. The 1 or 2 vegetable anti pasti plates are also suitable for larger groups. As main courses, the classic Pizza Margherita and Spaghetti Carbonara are very delicious. The waitresses are always very friendly. Prices are well affordable.

Very nice Italian restaurant on the banks of the Moselle in Bernkastel-Kues. There is a very well-chosen menu with a top selection of wines. The price/performance ratio is excellent. Cash or card payment is both possible. The service is quick and very friendly. The furnishings are of very high quality. And from the terrace you have a magnificent view of the Moselle. Here you can enjoy the sunset. Absolute recommendation!

Very, very tasty food at moderate prices. The antipasti vegetables were well prepared, the Riva pizza was excellent with a crispy, fluffy base, the salad with gratinated goat cheese, hmmm... Thank you for that.

We had dinner with 10 people. Starters and main courses were generally praised. Service was good and attentive. Unfortunately we couldn't pay at the table and we all had to line up at the checkout to pay. Unfortunately the calculations were incorrect and the process took a very long time... What speaks in favor of the restaurant is the good location on the 1st floor and the terrace, even if it is narrow. Unfortunately it is very loud in the restaurant.

Yesterday I just wanted to have a nice pasta and pizza and ended up at Riva. Friendly atmosphere, no overloaded menu and I was more than pleasantly surprised. This was how Italian food should be for my taste. The 'Riva' was pizza with a taste explosion. Clear recommendation!

Nice, clean and quiet restaurant, delicious food. The menu is not too extensive, but what is on it is very tasty. For me the lasagna bolognese and my wife a nice fresh salad. We were here with our children (7 and 11 years old) and they also tasted the pizza very well. Very friendly service. All in all, highly recommended if you are in the area.

Wir waren sehr enttäuscht. Ich habe 4 Wochen vorher für meinen Geburtstag reserviert. Während der Bestellung wurde uns bei 2/3 der Gerichte gesagt "haben wir nicht mehr weil wir Betriebsferien machen". Man hätte uns das schon am Telefon sagen können.. Oder wenigstens bevor wir angefangen haben zu wählen. Ich wollte meiner Familie was besonderes zu meinem Geburtstag bieten, aber so waren alle sehr enttäuscht. Wir werden nicht wieder kommen.

Trotz Reservierung einen Tisch direkt an der Tür (immer einen Spalt offen) mit Blick in die Toilette erhalten. Auf die Nachfrage, ob wir einen anderen Tisch belegen können, gab es nur einen unfreundliches „nein“ (es waren noch diverse Tische frei). Nachdem wir dann mehrere Minuten ignoriert wurden, haben wir das Lokal wieder verlassen. Sind dann zum anderen Italiener im Ort, haben ohne Reservierung einen Tisch bekommen und lecker gegessen. Riva dafür ganz klar keine Empfehlung!

Zuerst Positives : sehr, sehr, sehr nette und kompetente Bedienung, hat heute so nämlich kaum. Ambiente und Lage, auch alles prima. Weinauswahl perfekt, Preis - Leistung hervorragend. Speisenkarte nicht zu groß, aber für Alle was dabei. Hierzu kleiner Kritikpunkt: wir hatten Antipasti für 2, für 18,-. Dazu gereichte "Brot" war aus Pizzateig, nur leider nicht ordentlich aufgegangen, in der Mitte war noch Alles fest und noch fast roh. Und die Menge auf der Platte, na ja, kann man so oder so sehen. Mindestens so was wie Preiselbeeren, oder ein guter Senf der zum Käse passt, oder ein paar Träubchen hätten ruhig sein können. Nur so "nackend" paar Scheibchen Salami und Schinken und klein geschnitten Käse - hätten wir es vorher gewusst, hätten wir uns 2 Nudelgerichte oder Pizza bestellt. Nur als Anregung verstehen, wir trinken lieber einen guten Wein, und essen was Kleines aber feines dazu. Und wo Anderes bekäme man für 18,- mindestens Alles feiner "drapiert". Wir kommen trotzdem wieder :)

Selten einen so guten Italiener erlebt. Sehr freundlich und sympathischer Service, gepflegtes Ambiente und eine wunderbare kleine Karte. Wir waren dort 2x und bestellen Vitello Tonnato, Tomatensuppe sowie Muscheln, Saltimbocca alla romana und Pasta mit Lachs. Jedes einzelne Gericht ist zu empfehlen. Ich habe selten ein so gutes Vitello Tonnato gegessen. Die Atmosphäre ist leger. Fazit: Wir würden dort jederzeit wieder gut essen.

Waren nur ne Pizza 🍕 abholen... Kommen aber gerne wieder um mal dort zu essen ...

Iets buiten het drukke toeristische centrum vind je dit Italiaans restaurant terug op de eerste verdieping. En, het was een positieve verrassing. Beperkte kaart met alleen maar dagverse producten, aangenaam kader en vriendelijke bediening. Lekkere regionale wijnen aan zeer democratische prijzen.

Ich war mit meiner Freundin bei Riva essen, wir hatten beide Pasta, sie mit einer Tomaten Sauce und ich mit einer Tomaten-rucola-lachs Sauce. Mein Essen hatte wirklich sehr gut geschmeckt, das von meiner Freundin zuerst auch. Jedoch hatte meine Freundin einen Tag später eine Lebensmittelvergiftung, eventuell durch das grillgemüse das bei Riva bei 30° den ganzen Tag in einer Bar liegt. Eventuell war es aber auch nur ein Zufall, das sie danach eine Lebensmittelvergiftung hatte. Ich glaube nicht 😅 Aus diesen Gründen nur 2 Sterne

Heerlijk gegeten ,pasta ravioli en lasagne echt heerlijk. Bediening super vriendelijk en erg mooie zaak. Je kan binnen en buiten eten op soort van teras/ balkon. Binnen is erg mooi strak ingericht met airconditioning. Zeker een aanrader eten was echt heerlijk. Prijzen zeer goed Lasagne 13 euro en ravioli ook zoiets. En je krijgt ook echt best grote porties voor dat geld.

Ambiente ist wunderschön, der Service ist top und das Essen schmeckt auch sehr gut. Ich habe nichts negatives auszusetzen. ✌🏻

wij hebben heerlijk buiten gezeten en genoten van de heerlijke gerechten, de prima wijn en het mooie uitzicht. Wij hadden gekozen voor 3 gerechten ok samen te delen. Vooraf een heerlijke tomaten brucheta, daarna spaghetti carbonara ( mmmm) en een pizza. Alles was heerlijk samen met een lokale Riesling. Prijs kwaliteit is prima. Gezellige obers. Aanrader ok hier te eten.

Service und Essen waren wirklich 1A. Ich hatte Ravioli mit Ricotta und Spinat in Salbeibutter (leider waren es nur 6 Stück davon, aber es gab Brot dazu). Suuuper lecker. Die Servicekräfte sind sehr aufmerksam, an Getränken hats nicht eine Sekunde gefehlt. Unser Hund durfte mit und hat ebenfalls Wasser bekommen. Wir saßen auf dem Balkon draußen, da die Sonne so schön geschien hat. Hier der einzige Punkt, der ein bisschen blöd war: wir hatten einen Zweiertisch der fast parallel zu einem weiteren Stand und man fühlte sich, als würde man mit den weiteren Personen zusammen am Tisch sitzen. Also es war ein bisschen eng. Aber eigentlich ist das auch nicht so schlimm 😂 wenn wir noch mal nach Bernkastel Kues kommen, kommen wir auch wieder ins Riva ☀️😊

Riva has been our go-to Italian restaurant for years. The view of the Mosel is beautiful and the atmosphere is clean and modern. The food is consistently stellar. Their Lasagna is wonderful, all the pasta tastes fresh, and the meat dishes are perfectly cooked. The seasonal menu items are also always worth trying! The real stand out is the service. The staff is so friendly (especially Andreis), set a positive atmosphere, and your food comes quickly even when they're busy. I can't recommend Riva enough!

Seit 3 Jahren immer die gleiche 'kleine' Speisekarte, nie eine Änderung oder zusätzliche Tageskarte.

Pizza Parma war super lecker. Besser geht es nicht. Sehr freundliche Bedienung und modernes Ambiente mit Blick auf die Mosel.

Heel lekker en goedkoop eten. Pasta carbonara is echt een aanrader! En goede flessen wijn voor maar €16,-

Das Ristorante Riva bietet eine kleine Karte mit hervorragenden Gerichten für jederman und ausgezeichneten Weinen. Der herzliche Empfang durch tolle und kompetente Mitarbeiter sowie die gute Lage führen uns regelmäßig hierhin. Jedes Mal einen Tagesausflug von mehr als 200km. Aber es lohnt sich.

Das Essen war leider unter aller Kanone. Fleisch trocken durch zu schnelles auftauen und falsches braten. Pizza nicht lecker. Danke für ein versautes Geburtstagsessen!

Restaurant joliment situé en hauteur avec vue sur la Moselle depuis la belle terrasse. La grande salle voisine est un peu bruyante. La carte est bien conçue avec un choix de plats limités et en plus quelques suggestions un peu originales (tripes, pâtes au sanglier etc). Le Vitello tonnato en entrée est juste parfait. Les pâtes au sanglier étaient également très bonnes. Prix très corrects. service rapide et très souriant. Bref, une agréable soirée !

Wir waren mit Freunden nach Vorbestellung an einem lauen Sommerabend dort und bekamen einen wunderschönen Tisch auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf die Mosel. Das allein war schon ein Genuss. Der Service war schnell und freundlich und das Essen einfach rundum superlecker: Vorspeisenplatte mit Salami, Schinken und Käse (17€ für 2) und Bruschetta (5,60€). Die Antipasti aus der Vitrine hatten sie - in diesem Fall Gott sei Dank - vergessen. Wäre einfach zu viel geworden. Ein Gaumen- und Augenschmaus war die hausgemachte Lasagne (10,80€), ebenso die Spaghetti Chitarra (14,90€) und das Saltimbocca alla Romana (20,80€). Endlich konnten wir auch wieder einen Espresso trinken, der diesen Namen verdient. Die sind einfach nur beim Italiener wirklich gut. Alles in allem hatten wir einen genussvollen Abend mit lieben Freunden. Achtung: nicht mit "Schnipsen" auf sich aufmerksam machen, das mögen sie dort nicht ;-))
