Riva Bistro, Bar, Café in Hamburg

We came across this place by chance while strolling down Blancanese and were pleasantly surprised by the food. The cod we ordered was fresh and deliciously prepared, the oysters were excellent, and the wine selection was pleasingly diverse. I can recommend it as a quiet place for a leisurely dinner.

The two of us had dinner there last night and it was really great. The service was very attentive and the food and drinks were brought to us very early. I had the tarte flambée with cranberries and my friend had salmon with hash browns and we really enjoyed the food! So only recommended.

Great atmosphere, nice staff, delicious food... what more could you want

This time there was Wiener Schnitzel and various tarte flambées, all of which were wonderful. The service was great, everything came to 6 people at the same time, the dog was even offered water and we were told that the heater could be turned on outside if necessary. Afterwards we had a quick chat with the great landlady and we all went home happy. By the way, there are plenty of free street parking spaces in the evenings.

Terrible service! We were at Riva last night and wanted to have a quick drink. It was 11:25 p.m., the stated opening time is until midnight. There were still around 30 guests in the restaurant, there was still no feeling of optimism. The glasses were still well filled. The waiter told us we couldn't order anything more because they had already settled the bill. No problem, we say, we'll pay in cash. That wasn't what we wanted either, we weren't served anymore. Then we left while all the other guests relaxed and enjoyed their drinks. Never again Riva.

Very nice staff and good offer. But we arrived at 11:30 and waited. When we finally ordered, we were told 10 minutes after ordering that breakfast was over, even though we were there on time. Unfortunately it was very disappointing and we lost a total of an hour waiting for the menu, order to be taken and drinks.

Always happy. Great service, food and drinks. Good atmosphere. Like a little vacation in Blankenese.

We were there last night. The store was of course very well attended, which speaks for itself. Good wines, great food, very attentive service. Yesterday the food delivery took a little longer, but it was understandable and not a problem at all. We were more than well compensated with wine, dessert (very tasty tiramisu) and espresso (!) “on the house”. Super great restaurant for which we are happy to travel from the north of Hamburg. earned maximum points,

Wonderful food, great value for money!

The tarte flambée with bacon & onions is a culinary delight! I have never eaten a better tarte flambée anywhere else and I came from out of town to Riva just to eat this tarte flambée. Enjoy a glass of white wine and excellent service, which is also wonderfully recommended on the beautiful outdoor terrace. We'd love to come back!

Very nice service. Unfortunately, the food only got 4 stars because the salad mainly consisted of Lollo Rosso. You can be a little more creative about it. The schnitzels were very tasty. And the beer ice cold. Gladly again.

I ordered a hamburger with lobster, not cheap, and found thick hair under the fries on the plate. My appetite was eaten. Service was friendly and we didn't charge for water and beer, but we still gave a tip. A pity

Nice place - in the middle of Blankenese, at lunchtime, in the evening and in between. Particularly noteworthy: the places outside with cozy furs, pillows and blankets. Lovingly decorated. The guest room inside could use a little more love & attention to detail & decluttering. A great service team - reserved & very friendly! I can recommend the savory & sweet tarte flambée as well as the generously stocked cheese platter. Oat coffee latte also on point. Price - performance is right. Recommend for: everyone. You are welcome here with your family, your work crew, your date or alone.

The drink was delicious. The atmosphere was quite good, but the music was a little loud and I could hardly understand the person I was talking to. Unfortunately, some of the staff were rather unfriendly and dismissive…

I always really enjoy being here when I visit “my Blankenese”. If the weather permits, it's always nice to sit outside.. Feel-good atmosphere.. ☺️ I'm very excited about the new location on Blankenese Beach.

Wohl immer voll. In Blankenese kennt man sich. Extrem hilfsbereite und freundliche und geduldige Bedienung! Gutes Essen, Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in Ordnung. Leckeres Weizen vom Fass (mit Umdrehung). Gerne wieder.

Super leckeres Frühstück, besonders das Bircher Müsli hat 5 Sterne verdient. Sehr freundliches Personal:-) (vor ca.2 Monaten) Waren heute am 15.7. nochmal zu zweit da , leider hat das Birchermüsli sehr nachgelassen. Wie Fertigmüsli, eine Erdbeere, ein paar Heidelbeeren, komplett anders wie sonst, waren sehr enttäuscht:-(

Riva STRANDHAUS, Strandweg 69, 22587 Hamburg Das ist die Adresse von einem 2. Riva in Hamburg Blankenese - allerdings unten an der Elbe, am Strandweg. Das Riva STRANDHAUS. Wir waren interessiert, da die vorherigen Pächter das Restaurant eher haben verkommen lassen. Unverständlich, denn die Lage ist wunderschön. Nicht nur die Lage. Sie fangen dort erst an, geben sich enorm viel Mühe, und in den nächsten Wochen, wenn das Personal vollständig ist, sollte es das gleiche Niveau wie das bekannte und sehr gute RIVA oben im Ort erreicht haben. Wir waren jetzt schon zufrieden und hoffen bald begeistert zu sein, denn unser nächster Besuch ist sicher. Schaut man sich die Restaurants am Strandweg an (Lage, Küche, Service), dann wird das Riva Strandhaus eine absolute Bereicherung mit professioneller Leitung ... -> Nein, ich bin nicht verwandt oder geschäftlich beteiligt, sondern schlicht erfreut über den qualitativen Zuwachs an der Elbe.

Das Essen ist wirklich lecker und die Getränke ebenfalls. Außer das Ambiente erinnert doch stark an Wartehallen Atmosphäre. Ist aber bedingt durch die Größe.

Super Location, sehr nette Mitarbeiter*innen, toller Außenbereich und viele sehr angenehme Gäste. Wir haben dort meinen 50sten gefeiert. War sehr schön. Und ausgesprochen gute und ausgesuchte Weine. Wenn wir in Hamburg sind, gehen wir immer wieder gerne hin. Weiter so.

Das ist mit Abstand die schönste Location in Blankenese 👍 Essen/Küche ist Top. Und der Service und die Inhaberin sowieso 😊👌🏻

A very nice and attractive place especially during summer time there is a terrace outside with a view to the sea.

Man sitzt sehr nett, die Getränke und der Kuchen sind lecker. Die Bedienung ist jung u. hübsch, aber leider so garnicht auf Zack. Wir wurden mehrmals nicht beachtet und der Tisch klebte.

Habe bereits mehrfach im Aussenbereich gesessen. Dort war im Laufe der letzten Jahre die Qualität der Servicekraefte wechselhaft von unfreundlich und herablassend bis hin zu sehr gastfreundlich und aufmerksam. Gestern erstmalig abends im Innenbereich etwas getrunken. Es war ein zauberhafter Service! Drei junge Männer, die einen excellenten Job machten! Absolut zuvorkommend, ohne dabei steif zu wirken. Dazu ein Moscow Mule, der hervorragend schmeckte. Ja, als Zugezogene in Blankenese Lebende, fühlte es sich an, als ob hier jeder jeden kennt. Doch ich fühlte mich genauso gut und herzlich bewirtet, wie die "Einheimischen".

If you feel it’s time for Weissburgunder and you are in Blankenese go to Riva. They serve a good 0,2 chilled glass. Be prepared that all around the Hamburg area your glass will be around € 7 to € 9,50. No problem as long as it is served with a smile like they do here.

Das Riva ist ein sehr schön und zentral gelegenes Bistro und Restaurant mitten in Blankenese am Markt, welches für alle Altersklassen individuelle und liebevolle Angebote bereithält und für so manch einen bereits zum zweiten Wohnzimmer geworden ist. Die große Aussenterrasse ist perfekt und Petra und Michi mit ihrem Stamm- Team Kirsten, Leo, Amad, Muco, Raz, Kathrin und Josie machen immer wieder einen wunderbaren Job. Einfach empfehlenswert!

Nuestro conserje nos recomendó este restaurante y valió la pena. Las vistas desde el restaurante hacia el puerto con los principales barcos pasando fueron realmente un placer para ver. El servicio era un poco lento para empezar, sin embargo, la amabilidad del personal lo compensó con diferencia. La calidad de la comida era excelente (las porciones son pequeñas) y había muchas opciones diferentes en el menú para elegir.

Zuppa di pomodoro, ostriche fin de claire, filetto di salmone con salsa all'aragosta e riso basmati e tiramisù sono tra i piatti che abbiamo assaggiato. Ritardo notevole nel portare il piatto principale dopo il quale il cameriere si è profuso in scuse e ci ha offerto digestivi.
