I found my go to spot in Bonn. Everything my boyfriend and I ate was a 10/10. (Pani puri, lamb kajuu and a butter chicken) And the prices were affordable too! I lived in Dubai for 20 years and there were a lot of great indian restaurants. Taj India reminds me of home. I'm coming back soon with friends ♡

The taste was authentic and served on time but I was really amazed by how well the staff treated us and that’s what I would like to emphasise on. Excellent cuisine, for example the lamb biryaani had lots of fresh ingredients, the jhalfrezi was also very tasty, the service was very attentive.

The restaurant did not feel responsible for supplying missing food. I ordered through a delivery service. When the order arrived and I noticed that two things were missing, I immediately called the restaurant and explained the problem. I was told to contact the driver. After several requests to simply deliver the food, the man on the phone remained stubborn (Why would the driver take two things out of the bags?!) After I called the driver, he advised me to call the restaurant again. I did this. After I mentioned my request, I was pushed away and they simply hung up on me. After that, the restaurant was no longer accessible. Incredibly bad service. It's not a bad thing that something is missing, but refusing to deliver the missing food that has already been paid for is a disgrace! It's a shame, the food delivered was very tasty.

Service was good, very bad food in germany, never tasted so bad. Everything Was frozen food, which you can get from nearby supermarkets. Indian authentic food you cannot get here, lot of Salt or the same gravy for lot of different dishes. Everything Was bland, we almost ordered 10 different dishes. Dessert Was terrible, sorry to ne harsh. But that's the reality! May be germans like it.

We had a really delicious Indian meal here. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and quickly helped. We received advice when choosing the dishes and everything was perfectly prepared and seasoned. Recommended: the garlic naan, the paneer masala and the mixed vegetable curry. The service was also very friendly and welcoming! Thank you very much to the staff and of course the chef

Visited the restaurant for lunch. Incredible starters and great main course food with very nice ambience. We’ve ordered Samosa, murgh chicken for starters. For main course, we’ve ordered Garlic naan, Pudhina naan with a chicken curry (extra spicy). Taste of the food was amazing. Owners were very nice and tried to accommodate the customers very well. Would definitely recommend for a friend! Glad to visit again.

Upgrading my rating: The renovation of the restaurant was really successful. The service is fantastic. Everyone is super nice and super attentive. If you want to feel like you're in India... Important! Don't forget to reserve a table!

I first visited this restaurant during my client visit in Bonn in Jan 2023 and trust me the food is so amazing that, then it was usual visit for all of us every week. And now all my non Indian colleagues also love Indian food because of their wonderful experience. Staff is so friendly and accommodating that it takes you back to your home country ☺️ I am from Luxembourg but sometime go there specially whenever I crave for good Indian food.

All in all a good restaurant. You can't get the starters everywhere, but the menus for two and three people are very well done. Overall solid. A little more finesse would be good for the shop. Less choice and more pizzazz would be good. The toilet situation is not nice at all. Something urgently needs to be done. Therefore ambience -2.

Food was good. Prices for the food are also very good. Portions were ok. There could have been a little more rice, but it wasn't quite enough. There was also a small stone in the food (probably in the rice). The desserts were tiny and not nearly as good as the food, so you can safely skip them. Unfortunately, the toilet smelled strongly of urine and had no way to dry your hands. You definitely need to make a reservation on weekend evenings. Due to the good price-performance ratio, we will definitely give the store another chance to improve the few negative points. Then you can easily get 5 stars.

The food comes for two people, but it's barely enough for one person. There are places where I have eaten tastier Indian food. The table and chairs are very bulky. Tablecloths definitely need to be changed.

One of the best Indian restaurants in the city. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was quick and the food is Halal. They offered us freshly made naan on the house which is amazing and light and it just melts in the mouth. The Bheilpuri Chaat was amazing and the Paneer Butter Masala with Naan was the best combo. And to top it off... the Mango Lassi and Masala Lassi was the best drink to finish your perfect meal.

Nice Indian restaurant in the middle of Bonn. Friendly staff, nice colorful selection of starters, very tasty lassis, unfortunately the main courses were all a bit "dry" (which was perhaps due to our selection), but the selection in the menu is too large, the espresso wasn't good, the dessert was very good small. Waiting times were ok. So it's best to take a look at the menu before you visit!

We were travelling through Bonn on our way back home from a trip. It was the last day of the year and we wanted to have a special lunch. The Prawns and nawabi chicken biriyani was really good, albeit spicy. It was ok since I was used to spicy food. But would be better to ask them to reduce spice level for the non-spicy ppl. The mango lassi was too good for words. The staff were friendly. The restaurant was next to a paid Parkhaus, so we didn’t even have to drive around looking for a parking spot. All in all a very good experience. If we happen to come to Bonn again, we will definitely come back here.

Ein rundum perfektes Erlebnis. Die essensauswahl ist groß und es wird ausreichend Reis zu den Gerichten serviert. Ich denke mal dieser wird auf Wunsch nachgefüllt, war bei uns jedoch nicht notwendig. Das Essen war super lecker und es gibt sogar eine super Getränke Auswahl die selbst cocktails beinhaltet. Auch das feeling mit ruhiger indischer Musik im Hintergrund und der richtigen Menge an indischen Dekorationen lässt einen in die indische Welt komplett eintauchen. Vielen Dank für den tollen Tag :)

Wenn es um indische Küche geht, ist das Taj India unsere erste Wahl. Und wir haben einige Inder in Bonn und Umgebung getestet... Seit Jahren bekommen wir hier gleichbleibend gute Qualität und einen tollen, sehr höflichen Service. Was die Wahl des Schärfegrades angeht sollte man aufpassen, da die Köche eine unterschiedliche Interpretation haben, so schwankt scharf zwischen scharf und höllisch scharf - aber das ist ja subjektiv und in einem indischen Restaurant auch vollkommen angebracht. Im Zweifelsfall aber lieber etwas milder bestellen wäre mein Ratschlag. Total empfehlenswert, das Taj India einmal auszuprobieren, sofern man noch nicht dort war.

First time have been to this place by a recommendation of friend, I was totally amazed by the food itself(Chicken Curry I‘ve ordered) and the hospitable service they offered, It‘s undoubtedly an authentic Indian restaurant you don’t wanna miss it when visiting Bonn!

We visited the place to have some street food and ordered Chole Bhature , Samosa, and Chicken 65. Veg options were good, but we were not very satisfied with the chicken starter. Staff was humble and quick. Overall experience was nice and would recommend the place.

Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Mein Hähnchen-Gericht wurde relativ schnell an meinen Tisch gebracht. Problem an der ganzen Sache war, dass ich mich nach etwa 2 Stunden sehr heftig erbrechen musste. Ich vermute dass das Fleisch schlecht gewesen war, weil es auch ein klein wenig komisch gerochen hat. Nie wieder!

Wir haben hier schon mehrmals gegessen und das Vegetarische Menü probiert. Es war bisher immer die Richtige Entscheidung dort das Menü zu essen. Ich kann es Wirklich nur weiterempfehlen. Ihr werdet mit dem Menü auch definitiv Satt und jeder Kann sich aus den Sachen etwas zusammenpacken wie man es haben will. Ihr bekommt alles was auf der Karte für das Menü Gangweise jeweils serviert. Die Mago Lassis sind hier auch wirklich sehr Nice.

Ich sage es mal so, wenn man diese Erfahrung machen möchte, ist dieser Laden einen Besuch Wert. Ich persönlich bin sehr wählerisch beim Essen und hatte Schwierigkeiten bei der Auswahl der Speisen. Zudem sind diese sehr gewürzt. Das Brot war sehr lecker. Es ist halt mal was ganz anderes. Ich denke viele würden hier was leckeres finden.

Habe etwas für mich gefunden, wir waren alle sehr zufrieden.

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut. Der Tisch wurde vorher per E-Mail reserviert und es gab keine Wartezeit. Die Bedienung war zuvorkommend und die Speisen wurden recht schnell serviert.

Wir waren heute mit der ganzen Familie in diesem schönen Lokal und haben einen Geburtstag gefeiert. Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker. Der Service war sehr gut. Die Kellner waren überaus freundlich und sehr geduldig. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist super. Das Restaurant ist total schön und gemütlich. Wir werden wieder kommen und das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. Vielen Dank an die ganzen tollen und freundlichen Kellner!!!

We bestelden via takeaway omdat de site niet lukte voor ons (met belgisch gsm-nummer). Chicken tikki 2x en garlic naan brood waren heel lekker, extra rijst was achteraf bekeken geen must.
