Following a recommendation that we wanted Italian food, we found our way here, and the way we were greeted immediately won us over. The staff was very friendly and professional. We dropped in spontaneously without a reservation and managed to get a seat on the beautiful terrace, where it's simply cozy and unpretentious. Despite the main road next door, you feel very comfortable. The starters were very good, and the main course was even better. Because we felt so comfortable and liked the food so much, we ordered another tiramisu and a soufflé, and they rounded it all off perfectly. A recommendation for everyone.

We spontaneously stopped in here on a Saturday evening on a friend's recommendation and were absolutely thrilled. First of all, the place is extremely busy, so it's always best to make a reservation. The pizza rolls as an appetizer were amazing, some of the best I've ever eaten. The pasta was freshly prepared, and you can taste it. One small criticism: we literally waited almost an hour for our food because it was so busy. We were there yesterday for a private celebration and had a separate room for the group. We were warmly greeted at the champagne reception upon arrival, but not everyone was offered sparkling wine or spritzer. The ambiance in the restaurant is very nice, but unfortunately, the view outside onto the main street isn't. Unfortunately, we were only given a "slimmed down" menu, although I don't know if the restaurant itself generally does this for larger parties, or if the host arranges it when making the reservation. However, you could also order from the general menu upon express request, which you'd be reluctant to do. Since there was absolutely nothing on the "slimmed down" menu for us, we had to take advantage of it. The appetizers were very tasty, but the quantity was far too small for the number of people. While ordering our food, a girl wanted the waiter to order only pasta of her own choosing. He vehemently ignored this, presumably because it was a child and her parents weren't sitting nearby. Ultimately, he "talked" her into a completely different pasta dish. After ordering, we waited what felt like an eternity for our food. The service regarding drinks also left a lot to be desired. Questions were asked far too rarely, and we had to wait a very long time. When the first food arrived from the kitchen, a woman was served pizza, even though she said she had ordered pasta. The waiter (the same one as the girl) dismissed this with the comment, "I'm 100% sure I had pizza written down for you," and that was the end of the matter for him. My meal (Pollo Caponata) came without a side dish. After a while, the waiter said, "Oh, you're still missing your side dish, it'll be right there." I thought that was very thoughtful. However, my side dish still hasn't arrived... The chicken was cooked far too long and was therefore very dry. The girl's food didn't arrive either. At some point, it became clear that she had been forgotten. Her food arrived long after everyone else had finished. She ended up eating a few forkfuls of it and then left it because she apparently didn't like it. But then, it wasn't a dish she had chosen herself; it was more or less talked into her by the waiter. The pizza, from what I gathered from the other guests who were eating pizza, was apparently good. My conclusion: Very disappointing. Thank you, but we certainly won't be coming back.

One of, if not the best, authentic Italian restaurants in Gelsenkirchen. Never had such delicious 😋 homemade pasta. One point deducted... because card payments aren't accepted. 😱 And that's in this day and age.

Unfortunately our visit to this restaurant was very disappointing. Even before entering, a very unpleasant situation arose: another guest was loudly upset with me because I (accidentally) parked in a parking space reserved for a practice. The joke was that he himself was standing there too. After I kindly pointed out to him that he wasn't allowed to stand there either, he ran angrily into the restaurant and complained loudly about me to the staff. Even though the restaurant was almost empty, we were told that there was no free table. To us, this seemed more like a reaction to the incident outside the door and left a very bad impression. Unfortunately we felt neither welcome nor treated with respect. For a restaurant that thrives on good service, such behavior is completely unprofessional. Therefore no recommendation from us.

There were also a few little things to criticize about the atmosphere, on the one hand there were a number of boxes lying around in the back area of ​​the restaurant, and on the other hand I just found it a bit inappropriate to serve the spicy oil in a glass Star Wars Stormtrooper helmet... even if it was amusing! All in all, a great experience when it comes to food - service and ambience will certainly depend to a large extent on the particular visit.

Man sitzt quasi beim Nachbarn auf dem Schoß. Auf die Frage, das restliche Essen einzupacken, ernten wir ein Augenrollen und den Kommentar: "Alles? Das ist aber Arbeit." Zu guter Letzt muss man die Rechnung dann noch selbständig auseinanderdividieren --> unverschämt! Ist uns nicht zum ersten Mal passiert, bei mehr als 6 Personen. Fazit: Wohlfühlfaktor fehlt, daher werde ich nicht mehr hingehen

We had dinner for our birthday yesterday - big mistake. The service was subpar. Drinks were brought far too late and you had to repeatedly remind the waiters that you even existed. Our son had only eaten one slice of his pizza and we asked the waiters to wrap up the rest. After countless memories, the answer came: the pizza had been thrown away. Without any communication, of course. The crowning glory: The waiter took his own tip without asking. Since the older gentleman, the previous owner, is no longer there, this restaurant has become nothing more than a prime example of incompetence and poor style. An absolute failure.

Unfortunately our visit today was not convincing. We were a group of six people and it seemed like the team was overwhelmed by the situation. With a bill of around 300 euros, we would have expected better service. Unfortunately, our request to pack the leftover pizza was overlooked, which further clouded our impression. Overall the experience was disappointing.

The place was so busy that I had to wait 10 minutes for a table. And despite this stress, the service was outstanding! Plus, this was the best Parma ham I've ever eaten! You also got rolls with herb butter and an antipasti dish without ordering a starter. And the price was too low for that. Huge praise from me, I would always recommend!!!

We were there for the first time on a Monday evening and it was very crowded and loud. I think the fact that it was full speaks for the restaurant. We had lasagne and veal rolls filled with cheese and cooked ham Gorgonzola sauce as a side dish, there were rosemary potatoes and Mediterranean vegetables which consisted of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots, so they were more like imperial vegetables than Mediterranean. The side dish was served separately on a very small plate which looked more like I had my dog ​​with me and this was served for him. Unfortunately I didn't capture this as a picture. The portions were decent, I don't want to complain about that, but it could have been prepared differently. We would like to try the pizza there because it looked very good, but we will probably order it to pick up and then enjoy it in peace at home.

Lots of hype. It was super crowded even on a Tuesday. Waited a long time for service. But they were friendly. Pizza was big and my husband liked it. My seafood pizza had some prawns and lots of thick pieces of salmon. I wasn't waiting for that. More on calamari, mussels, etc. Otherwise I would have ordered a salmon pizza. So less satisfied.

However, there are people who would see it as criticism. Price performance is top. The perfect shop for a special occasion but also to simply enjoy authentic, delicious Italian food in comfort.

Very slow service, rude team. The host should learn to smile and make people at home, especially foreign visitors. We arrived around 6 pm, on October 5th. We had a reservation. But, somehow, we landed the table in front of the restrooms, although this large restaurant was not full at all. There was no water on the table. I asked for water twice.The gentleman did not visit us to get our order for almost 20 minutes. Update as of 7:05pm. And finally, we had a nicer, smiling waitress. She was good. The 1st rude male waiter disappeared after ignoring us almost half an hour. I would not take any highly special guests here again. I am an angel investor and a Google guide. So, I have learned to review a business. The team did not seem to be happy to work there. The assets were the "ok" food and the 2 smiling young female employees. No one and nothing else.

My husband and I are very disappointed. My husband didn't like the spaghetti. And I didn't like my fish. I've eaten fish in white wine sauce before, but I didn't like it at all here. It was a bit like eating apple cider vinegar. The vegetables with potatoes were ice cold. We had a 15 minute drive home, but it was really cold. Then I put it in the microwave again. The dessert was quite good. Panacotta and mousse au chocolat were very good. The tiramisu was ok, but we are definitely used to better. Unfortunately it didn't convince us. Too bad.
