Staff was really nice and friendly. We ordered lasagna and pizza. But we found both so salty. Even it was really tasty and good cooked, salt level was high. I believe this needs to be considered.

At 9:00 PM 🤣 Closing time 🤣🤣 And NO ONE could tell me what I was getting! The service competence was also out of place here... When no one knows what was being served! My wife's pasta wasn't hard. Not all dente...just undercooked and sloppy. I tried their shrimp... And they were floury too! Just way overcooked. Still the tastiest thing tonight 🤣 Embarrassing 🤣🙈🤣 Now for the drinks... The first round came quickly. After that, nothing more! The staff was simply rude and inattentive. We'll NEVER be back!!! My editor's feedback to the staff was that several restaurateurs had already complained about the quality of the meat, nothing more. Not even a free espresso. Too bad 🙈 Only... The chalkboard with the daily specials has been removed!! 🤣 My personal conclusion: NEVER EVER AGAIN!!

Friendly service, food is good.

I wanted to buy pizza. I arrived at the restaurant at 10:30. The waiter whistled at me and shouted, "Heyyy!" That was rude for a customer. The staff should take better care of their customers.

The food is delicious and the price is reasonable. There are plenty of seating options, both inside and outside. Unfortunately, when we were there, we had no luck with the "service staff responsible for us." They exhibited behavior that we couldn't understand and that won't reflect well on the restaurant in the long run. Nevertheless, we are willing to go back again, as we really enjoyed the food and we won't let ONE incident like this deter us from a second visit.

Unwelcoming and unfriendly My experience at Restaurant Teatro was utterly disappointing. We wanted to have a drink and enjoy the atmosphere. However, upon entering, we were rudely told that this wasn't possible. Apparently, it was mandatory to order food as well. We were turned away simply because we only wanted a drink. This demonstrates extremely poor service and a complete lack of hospitality. We felt like we weren't valued as customers. A restaurant should be welcoming to every customer, whether they come for a drink or a full dinner. For us, this was a very negative experience, and we will definitely not be returning. A definite no-go if you're looking for a cozy place for drinks.

We've had such great experiences with Italian restaurants in Germany. This time, it's the beautiful Xanten. After a delicious Campari Spritz and Pino Grigio, we enjoyed an excellent Parmigiana de Melanzane and a Penne Filetto Pernod. And all for €47.90. It makes you realize, once again, that the Dutch hospitality industry is pricing itself out of the market. No wonder so many establishments are going bankrupt.

The professionals are at work here! Today I had the best pizza I've had in years. Fresh ingredients, even pineapple, and absolutely delicious! Simply top-notch. And the queue of people waiting for a free seat speaks for itself. Thank you very much! The prices are also very reasonable, and the staff are quick, well-organized, and very friendly.

We were there with a nice group of men and got a really great table. The service was very accommodating and recommended a truly excellent appetizer platter. Yes, it wasn't exactly cheap, but it was incredibly delicious and so filling that we were almost stuffed. But we didn't want to miss out on the restaurant's amazing food. In my opinion, they have the best pizzas I've ever had in a pizzeria in Germany. Truly incredibly delicious. It should be mentioned that the restaurant also has a large ice cream parlor, where Mr. Groß also makes delicious ice cream. When the weather's good, there are plenty of tables and chairs on the market square in Xanten for both. My recommendation: if you're in Xanten, definitely stop by here.

A midsummer Saturday evening in Xanten. The city center is busy. Cafés, ice cream parlors, and restaurants are packed; even the outdoor area of the Ristorante TEATRO on the market square. We're lucky and find a table in the second row. The food arrives quickly and is good. Meanwhile, customers are gathering outside the restaurant, waiting for a free table. The waiters become nervous, and the atmosphere is tense. We've barely finished the last bite when the waiter comes to the table: Espresso, cappuccino, dessert? No, grazie... our glasses are still half full and we decline. Two minutes later, the waiter returns, mumbles something about a reservation and asks if we wouldn't like to sit with our glasses at a free table in the café next door, as they're having major reservation problems. We decline again, feeling pushed out. Three minutes later, I pay, without a tip. On the way to the restroom, the waiter points out that there's an extra charge for that. I ignore him. Comedia del Arte? Definitely never again TEATRO.

The restaurant was not full. A lot of waiters were running around and i think 4 of them waited our table. It seemed chaos but also they were not friendly at all and made mistakes. Our drinks were wrong and we had one glass too short. The missing one never came. When my soup was served it was almost thrown in my lap. No sorry or anything. We asked 2 waiters for salt or oil. Nobody came to bring it. So we took it ourselves. Most of all. Nobody was friendly at all. The food was ok. Not terrific. But ok. The pizza had too much garlic and was not fully baked. The parmigiana melanzana was good.

It was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The bread and butter they served was also delicious. The portions were huge.

Finally, a pizza where you could actually taste the garlic 😊 Highly recommended! Friendly and fast service. Fresh ingredients, good value for money, and a lovely atmosphere.

Top location but at the moment after rain still a bit wet such as the chairs and the menu.

The staff was very friendly. The beer arrived five minutes after the pizza, without any foam. The pizza was only crispy around the edges; everything else was soggy, but it tasted okay.

No recommendation for this restaurant. It was too early to have dinner (4 pm). We wanted to have a drink first. The waiter did not greet us but with a rough gesture bread was put on the table. We said that we did not need it now and with an irritated face the waiter walked away. Another waiter came to our table and he asked what we wanted to drink. He asked what we wanted to eat, but we said that we did not want that now. The terrace was not busy. He said that we had to leave the terrace because it was only intended for people who wanted to eat. We had to go to the other terrace. Now that is not a problem in itself, but both people from the service were not hospitable and nice. We left, the atmosphere was not pleasant to stay.

It would be perfect if it weren’t for the arrogant waitress who just grabs plates without communicating with the customers. The other waitresses and waiters were fine. Apart from this unfortunate incident with her, everything else was good. The ambience, the food and the other staff. I do recommend in spite of the rude waitress.

We had reserved a table for four people...outside. Since the weather was nice, we arrived early. We wanted a drink first, to which the waiter said...if you don't want to eat yet, you can have one in the ice cream parlor. That was pretty rude. The food, unfortunately, wasn't what it used to be. Quantity over quality. Far too many people being processed there. A real shame...never again.

Truly ridiculous. 3 years ago I wrote a bad review about this place. 3 months later, I received a message from Google saying I was being sued for defamation by this restaurant. Where do they get the nerve to treat their customers like this and not accept the truth? Well, Google did accept the review after a long back and forth because the review was true and I was able to prove that I had been there. This is true Italian mafia behavior. People don't go there, the food is bad, the staff is rude and rude, and you pay for something you didn't get. And when you complain, three men immediately stand around you, provocatively. They try to scare you and make you angry. The solution is to close this place and protect customers from these people.

One of the best restaurants I know. The staff are friendly, professional and attentive. The food is simply delicious! Every bite is a taste experience. I really like to order the beef fillet with potatoes and vegetables. The fillet is always cooked to perfection and the side dishes are also perfectly prepared and really taste like what they are. The ambience is stylish and calm, even when it is busy.

We were there for a birthday. The food came quite quickly and tasted good too. There is clearly a deduction for the way you treat guests! Some people were clearing away while others were still eating. Round two do the same again, again the same water in a neutral bottle. Food arrived at a delay, first the pizza we ordered and 10 minutes later the pasta. So far OK for now. Since the portions were a little too much given the temperature today was 26 degrees, we asked for the leftovers to be packed up, which was done after we asked for the bill. Sooo and then the bill came... they actually charged €12 for the medium sparkling water and €0.50 each for the packaging, which then led to a proud sum of €60.60. Respect. That doesn't work at all.
