Ristorante Pizzeria Portofino in Sassnitz

Gastronomy as it should be ideal. We followed Francesco's tip and ordered the freshly caught sea bream. It came with various small side dishes. A dream. This is what vacation should be like – personal and loving. Thank you Francesco 😘

Differences between outside and inside, orders are not taken correctly, discussions are made with guests when questions arise. Tables are not fully set, so as a guest you have to collect spices, parmesan and blankets for sitting outside. The interaction among the staff was not particularly friendly, which led to a tense atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food had to be very heavily salted because it hardly tasted like anything. The attention to detail was missing. Food came quickly, unfortunately fast doesn't always mean good. Pizza is delicious though. I would no longer visit this restaurant, despite its direct location on the harbor basin, because the price-performance ratio is not right.

Can only be recommended. Great food and great service. Stayed in Sassnitz for one night and wanted to go out to eat. We chose this restaurant and were not disappointed.

The pizzas are highly recommended. We only had to wait a maximum of 15 minutes for our food - even though the shop was packed. Super nice staff and really very attentive. Children are welcome guests - rarely have we visited such a child-friendly restaurant.

I was just there to buy some ice cream. The prices are now incredibly high. 2€ for a scoop of ice cream. In addition, the ice cream tasted too “artificial”.

Very nice service and a short wait for the food (but it wasn't busy at the moment). The food was good, but there's still something wrong. But it's also a matter of taste. Overall, we can recommend the pizzaria! Service prefers cash payment(!)

I regret to say that the waiter was not honest. He put coffee on the bill and there was a drink. He overpriced the pizza by €2. When paying by card, he charged a higher price, which ultimately resulted in €5 more.

Located right at the city harbor, good service, the food came very quickly and was reasonably priced. Quality and taste are fine.

We felt very comfortable. The food was very good, the service friendly and attentive. The wines were well explained. Main course, Pizza Diabolo and baked pasta with broccoli...... impeccable. The staff was again super attentive and friendly. We only had pizza and teramisu...it was a poem. A huge thank you to the kitchen! Were there again today (April 23, 2025)! And what can I say? It was a dream again. We had pizza, the dough and crust were an absolute dream. The high-quality and opulent surface... simply wonderful. Thanks to the great service, which is so attentive and child-friendly and of course the kitchen.

We have been to this restaurant very often. Pizza, pasta and salads are highly recommended. The pizza dough is unique. The restaurant can sometimes be very noisy. We recommend making a reservation in the evening as it is always busy. The owner and the staff are very friendly and try to fulfill all requests quickly. We'd love to come back.

The Ristorante Portofino is located directly in the harbor of Sassnitz and also has an outdoor terrace. There is a large selection of pizzas, but also pasta, fish and meat dishes. The pizzas are nice and crispy and very tasty. We really enjoy eating the fish soup, which for me is one of the best on the island. The ice cream sundaes are also highly recommended. The service is very attentive and friendly. We love coming to Portofino, whether to eat pizza or fish or even to enjoy a cappuccino on the terrace. Somehow it's always a bit like a short vacation in "Bella Italia"

Incredibly delicious pizzas. Large portions at a low price. Staff was very friendly. I've never had such good pizza before. Not even in Italy.

We ate there for the first time on Maundy Thursday. I ordered number 217 (3 grilled prawns). The food was extremely tasty: the prawns were cooked to perfection, there was also steamed pointed cabbage and grated carrots with a delicious sauce (unfortunately a little too little) and a also very tasty side salad. I was so impressed by this meal that we went again today (Good Friday). The food arrives and is not the same as the day before: completely different side dishes, no sauce and the prawns are bone dry! I had the dish returned. Unfortunately, somehow the gentlemen didn't want to understand that the food was completely different apart from the 3 prawns. Very strange since there is only 1x 3 grilled prawns on the menu! The plate was brought new: they simply swapped the 3 prawns and left the wrong side dishes on the plate, only this time the prawns were raw! What was that about? Was it another chef, or does the chef suffer from dementia??? Sorry, but I lost the desire to eat! It's a shame, because the day before I would have loved to give you 10 stars for the food. Today there are only 3 left and that's only because at least we didn't have to pay for this dish.

Starting with the Service is amazing really make you fine at home. The professional service of a good man, unfortunately I forgot to ask his name, was extraordinary and the first impression to know that as turist we where in the right place. The food was very tasty we ordered Pizza of salame were are pizza lovers so we all 3 (my 2 kids and I) ordered the same pizza and even with the age difference we all gave the pizza 20 out of 10 score simply delicious!!!!

Three of us ate there. All three were satisfied with the taste, one was enthusiastic. Unfortunately, my portion of vitello tonnato was very small for €18. My friend had a little creepy crawly on his pizza. Unfortunately there was no apology or offer of compensation from the waiter. The restaurant itself and the toilets are not particularly inviting, some are worn out and dirty.

Drank coffee and ordered tiramisu. There is a tray of fresh food in the fridge. However, I got one in a glass, half plasticized. I didn't even know you could make something like that. Maybe we weren't welcome?

I can only recommend this ristorante. Very nicely located in the harbor of Sassnitz in an old warehouse! Staff very nice and very child friendly! The food was delicious and the price was right too! We will definitely come back there. Thank you again for the great service.

The food was bland and tasteless, and also carelessly prepared, all the ingredients were just sort of thrown in half on the pizza, with whole olives with stones on the pizza. I've never experienced anything like that before. The door is permanently open at 5°C because it is served inside and outside, so there is a draft all the time. Toilet seats disgusting. Only when you wave or call someone comes to the table, brings a card and then doesn't ask if you want to order anything else. It's a shame, the reviews suggested otherwise. Not for us again.

It was Saturday evening and it was completely packed with people. We didn't have reservations but the waiter gave us seat 💺. They were really nice. We took a fresh Fisch recipe and a pizza special. They have a good choice of wine and you can always order for half which was sufficient for both of us. Most attractive was the Tiramisu. It was freshly made and tasted awesome.

We ate there twice during our time in Sassnitz. The pizza was fresh, large, very well topped and simply delicious. The restaurant was also well attended during the week. Highly recommended.

Not quite as inviting from the outside, but the surprise after entering your restaurant was even greater - very inviting, cozy, friendly in every respect and extremely tasty. I have rarely eaten such a fine and delicious pizza (Capricciosa) -> 2x (were there again 1 week later😬) A small note anyway: I(!) didn't like the design of the menu -> it doesn't match the great things you do and present. But as I said: great service, great tasteful food, great selection - also seasonal - top. A very special thanks to FRANCESCO!!! 😉🙏 Very fond of children and warm-hearted! Thank you very much, we would love to come back!

Highly recommended, friendly service and even though it was full, we got our food very quickly. I can highly recommend the tiramisu 😋 There is definitely something on the menu for everyone. The only drawback is the many TVs, but you don't have to look at them. We'll be happy to come back!

The food and service are top, because authentic Italians run this restaurant, and you can tell. Pasta made in-house, pizza with light and airy dough. So does the baguette, also made in-house. And the cappuccino at the end... - simply delicious, friendly and perfect.

Great ristorante right at the harbor. Rarely have we experienced such great food. The boss and his employees exude Italian flair. If there were 10 stars, they would deserve it.

Even when the store is full (which it is even in winter) they are still super nice and super fast. The food was always on the table straight away and very tasty. The specialties are quite authentic and seem absolutely fresh. Class. We ate here every evening during our week-long stay.

Light and shadow. We wanted to eat here because we bought ice cream for the boys a few days ago and thought it was really nice. The light: The food tasted very good. We had fish and pizza, as well as melon with ham and tomato soup. The food was delicious, very well prepared and plentiful. A very fair and reasonable price. It was also very child-friendly and the dog was also allowed in. The Shadow: The ambience can be improved. Football was playing on two screens and the tables were very close to each other. The TV is probably also the reason why we would at least take a look before we go there again. We want to concentrate on the food and our entertainment and not hypnotize the kids. The toilets are also in a rather manageable condition. The women's toilet was missing paper and soap and was not refilled despite repeated reminders. The ice cream for dessert was also more shadow than light. Very sweet and therefore not the best treat at the end. The service, on the other hand, was top, the staff incredibly friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable. Overall very good, with slight limitations!

You can eat very good pizza here and there is plenty of space in the summer. In the cold season you can also sit in a restaurant, but things can be a bit more cramped here. The food has always been excellent and highly recommended.

We spontaneously went to the restaurant today and had a lovely stay. The food came super quickly, everything was delicious, everyone was very friendly and accommodating, especially towards our three children, which made us as parents very happy. The small play area made it a very relaxed atmosphere. The only thing that could perhaps be optimized from an adult perspective would be the cleanliness and completeness of the play area. But it didn't bother the children, and there was water for washing on the clean ones, even for changing children!! There were also friendly toilets. Would love to come back. 😊

Went there on vacation and it was so incredibly tasty. The waiter was also very, very nice and they also think well if you say a portion of children's spaghetti and a plate of robbers then they simply make "2 mini portions". And there are children's cutlery! Our pizzas were super tasty. If we should be close again. We'd love to come back :)

Haben spontan nach einem Tisch für 2 gefragt und hatten Glück. Das Restaurant füllte sich schnell. Dennoch war der Service schnell und aufmerksam. Die Bruschetta als Vorspeise war richtig lecker. Das Brot nicht zu dick und der Belag genau richtig. Auch unser Hauptgang Gnocci und Pizza haben uns nicht enttäuscht.

We were only in this restaurant for a short time. But what I saw there is truly incredible. First of all, the food looked tasty and seemed to taste good too. Unfortunately, the Parmesan is poured directly from the bucket into a bowl by hand. No spoons. The pizza maker first scratches himself everywhere and then makes the next pizza. The remaining schnitzel was carelessly thrown quickly into the foil with the fingers after coughing on it first. Well, that was all within 20 minutes. I don't want to know what else is normal there.

A place friendly to children, Poles (there is even Polish staff), Italians, Germans, and basically everyone, even dogs. Lots of traffic, even bigger portions. The staff act as if they love hosting you (or maybe they actually enjoy it?) All in all, it's worth going out when you're in Sassnitz.

Pizza was very tasty. However, the chocolate sundae had straciatella ice cream instead of chocolate ice cream. But it says differently on the map. I found it very unfortunate. The ice cream itself was "OK", but not as good as I had hoped and I have eaten better in some German bars. Ice cream sundae could be smaller and therefore cheaper. Normal size would suffice. We were warmly greeted at the entrance. But then we had to wait too long for the card (we had to make it known that we were there......) and then too long for the bill. Somehow it seemed disorganized. But everyone was very friendly.

Eis essen am Samstag gegen 15.00 Uhr. Begehrte Früchteeisbecher ( Erdbeeren, Kirschen und Ananas) gab es nicht mehr. Das ist uns schon ein paar Mal so ergangen. Wie kalkulieren Sie dort? Ich hätte aber noch einen Discounter leer gekauft. Am Sonntag sollte es ja auch noch schönes Wetter geben. Die anderen Eisbecher waren aber lecker.

Eating ice cream on Saturday around 3 p.m. Coveted fruit sundaes (strawberries, cherries and pineapples) were no longer available. This has happened to us a few times. How do you calculate there? But I would have bought empty at a discount store. There should be nice weather on Sunday too. The other sundaes were delicious though.

The extensive fish dish was not really tasty. The entire fish dish was on the table within 5 minutes. A good chef can never do that so quickly, so the fish was clearly warmed up in the microwave and the vegetable porridge straight from the microwave.
