Delicious pizza and pasta, great and friendly waiter, and a superb chef.

What a shame! We went out for dinner on a Friday evening, just the two of us, and didn't order anything fancy. We had pizza, and it would have been a really good pizza if it weren't for one thing! It was half raw on one side. But by the time we noticed, we were too embarrassed to complain about the undercooked pizza. Well, the service was so-so. After we finished eating, they didn't ask if we wanted anything else. When they cleared the table and we sent the half pizza back, she asked if everything was alright... and I just said it wasn't cooked through. "Ah, okay, I'll pass it on..." That was it. And that was it for us.

The food is absolutely delicious and the service is extremely friendly and fast. Large, comfortable space. It might get a bit noisy when there are many guests.

We came here using the discount voucher booklet. The atmosphere is typical of a sports club, but everything else is top-notch. The service was quick, friendly, and even up for a joke. The food was sensationally good—the best seafood we've had in the entire area. Definitely recommended.

Unfortunately, we fell for the high ratings. I absolutely cannot understand how they came about. The ambiance is just like a clubhouse. There are other clubhouses that put in much more effort. The Christmas tree was nicely decorated, but otherwise everything looked very cold. Unfortunately, the food didn't impress us either. The bruschetta was quite decent. But the pizzas were a disappointment. They looked really good, but the dough in the middle was far too thin and fell apart due to the tomato sauce. The crust looked very crispy and promised a lot, but unfortunately, it was very thick and still doughy inside, with no air bubbles or anything else you'd expect from a good Italian pizza. The tomato sauce was also very bland, and everything tasted like tasteless mozzarella. The service was very friendly; there was nothing to complain about there. We will unfortunately never come back here, and I'm sorry that we said everything was delicious out of habit when asked. The pizzas are simply not worth the price.

We recently went there to eat using the Schlemmerblock (a discount voucher booklet). I can't understand where the good reviews come from. The restaurant was freezing cold, and many people were wearing coats. At the next table, there was an argument with the server because a guest had ordered soup as a starter, and the server wanted to deduct it from the bill as the cheapest item for the Schlemmerblock voucher, even though it was clear that "the cheapest main course" was free. Although we had changed our order for one person, we received salmon instead of saltimbocca. We kept the salmon, though, because we got a complimentary portion of fries. I ordered braised squid. Before ordering, I asked when squid was braised—it's only supposed to be briefly fried, isn't it?—and was told it was grilled. So I ordered it with cherry tomatoes, capers, anchovies, and pasta. When it arrived, the sauce was brown, and there were only about three or four cherry tomatoes visible. The sauce tasted like tomato paste, and the squid was tough. The other two dishes, saltimboca and schnitzel, weren't particularly impressive either. At two other tables, people were also waiting for their food. At the next table, the woman's husband had received his pizza. They had forgotten her dish! We also had a scene when it came time to pay. Apparently, it was Friday, fish day, so the discount booklet wasn't valid; we only got a 20% discount. The server hadn't said anything to us, even though we had clearly placed the discount booklets on the table. With a rating of 4.7, you expect something different. No one seemed to care whether we enjoyed our meal. We've never experienced anything like it before.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed.

When we politely pointed out a problem, the manager reacted unprofessionally and showed little customer focus. This spoiled the visit.

The service was very friendly and the food arrived on time. But now comes the very big BUT: I have never seen such a bad boss in my life. We weren't treated kindly by him simply because we gave our honest opinion about the food. Instead of thanking us for giving honest feedback, we were insulted. Even though the service was good, I would never eat there again. What I also know is that the boss, who behaves like a small child, will try to delete this review, just like he does with other reviews from other people.

We simply love it here. By far the BEST seafood pasta. Besides that, the pizza, salads, and fish platter are also incredibly delicious. You can order whatever you want and you'll never be disappointed! The value for money is truly excellent! We always love coming back and are thrilled every time! We recently ate here because of the very good reviews. However, the food was rather mediocre. The pizza had far too much dough and not enough topping. The dessert wasn't good either. Overall, quite disappointing. Someone already explained how the very good reviews come about: apparently, the restaurant deletes the bad reviews after a certain period. You can see this if you look at the reviews: everywhere 4 or 5 stars and never anything lower. This is dishonest and a shame, as the restaurant clearly doesn't want to improve. Maintaining a (false) good reputation seems to be the most important thing.

The food was very good, the service was terrible. Sitting there for 45 minutes with empty plates is normal. They manage to leave other tables empty-handed. When I asked if I could have anything else, they didn't respond. I wonder what kind of incompetent staff they are, and it wasn't so busy that two people couldn't manage. After this happened three times, this was definitely our last visit. We have enough Italian restaurants where both food and service are perfect.

At first, I wondered why this restaurant had so many good reviews – now I know why: Apparently, critical reviews are systematically deleted. About 1.5 years ago, I went there with my company. Unfortunately, both the service and the food were disappointing: the carpaccio was still frozen, the meat was tasteless, the pizza wasn't cooked properly, and the wait was long. The restaurant responded to my review at the time, saying that it was probably a "bad day" and that we should come back. So far, that's understandable – mistakes can happen. A few weeks later, however, I received a request from Google Italy to delete my review. I objected, and the review initially remained online. Now, 1.5 years after the visit, the restaurant has filed a complaint with Google for alleged "defamation" – with the result that my review was permanently removed. Since I couldn't provide a receipt after so long, I had no way of maintaining it. I suspect that other critical voices disappear this way as well. That would explain the strikingly high average rating. My conclusion: The 4.8 stars deserve a critical look. Personally, I would choose a different restaurant. It's a shame – at the time, I still considered it a slip-up. But the way criticism is handled here shows, to me, that they don't want to improve, but rather prefer to silence unwelcome voices.

We visited the Pompei restaurant and were absolutely thrilled! The salad was very fresh and truly delicious. My pizza was excellent—and gluten-free, which is a rare find in Karlsruhe. I especially recommend the Pizza Diavola—simply perfect! The service was super friendly and attentive. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

ATTENTION: this restaurant has such a high score because they ask Google to remove bad reviews. Do not be deceived, the food is NOT good! Ordered the fish which was a big mistake, I believe there was more salt than actual fish on my plate. This was the first time ever I did not finish my plate at a restaurant, it was that bad... Next to that the waiters forgot our order several times and cannot they were not exactly friendly.

Normally I don’t leave reviews on google, but I have to now. Ask you can see on pictures, pizza’s dough is still raw. I informed the waiter about it and he offered me to put it in oven… The Aperol Spritz lacked prosecco. You could feel only Aperol and water (you can see from the colour, that it’s dark red). Even a slice of orange wasn’t in it. Maybe I’m frustrated right now, but surely a current rank of 4.6 shouldn’t be that high. Watch out.

The food was absolutely inedible. The fish was disgustingly slimy. The spaghetti was rock-hard and dry. The entire dish was completely salty and completely inedible. After gathering all my courage, I politely returned the plate to the kitchen to report that it was inedible. The staff was unfriendly, and no apology or offer of another meal was made. The chef's shouting could be heard across the entire terrace. Extremely unprofessional and embarrassing for the restaurant. Finally, they even dared to add this dish, the full price of €28!!!, to the bill. We refused to pay for this dish because we hadn't eaten it either, which prompted more shouting from the kitchen. Unbelievable! Stay away from these scum!

The food was okay, but the service was terrible. We had to wait forever to get a table. The restaurant was half full, but the waiters were completely overwhelmed. There were also no cutlery left. Cokes were served in wine glasses because they also ran out of glasses.

We just visited Pompei for the second time. From the outside, it's rather unassuming and perhaps not so inviting at first glance, BUT The staff is very friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The terrace is truly beautiful. It's great in the shade in the evenings and when the weather is nice. The interior is very simple and understated. We think the pizza is absolutely outstanding. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. The ham and salami look as if they're freshly sliced. The fior di latte is delicious, and the tomatoes are fruity and fresh. We definitely recommend Pompeii and will be back!

The pizzas there are fantastic. I can't go anywhere else for pizza, because since I've eaten here, nothing can compare. The appetizers and desserts are also a treat and beautifully presented. The drink selection is also good. This is a great place to unwind after work, sit together in a relaxed atmosphere, and enjoy a meal.

It's a sports restaurant, the ambience, well. But well maintained, tables beautifully set, bright, it smells good. The menu is (too?) big - a bad sign? No, what came to the table was excellent. Authentically Italian in the very best quality. There were seven of us there at Easter and we were well served and cooked for. My wife and I had dinner here for the first time yesterday. My wife had a pizza and I had pasta. Both dishes tasted excellent. The service and team are very friendly and they are happy to respond to requests and questions. The food took less than 15 minutes to reach the table. And the price-performance ratio is great. A real insider tip if you want to enjoy good traditional Italian cuisine. We will definitely come by again.

Really completely surprised by the quality that came out of the kitchen: authentic Italian with friendly service. Extremely good for a clubhouse: only the ambience suffers a little and the innkeeper makes the best of it.

We visited our family and came with really low expectations because the atmosphere in the clubhouse didn't allow us to expect a large kitchen. The selection on the menu is huge and even as a vegetarian I found what I was looking for without any problems. We got really authentic, excellent Italian cuisine with large portions. The ingredients were excellent and the preparation was perfect. I have rarely eaten such good Italian food and I lived in Italy for 5 years. The price is absolutely reasonable for what you get, but at first glance it's above average for a pizzeria in this location. We had teenagers with us who couldn't appreciate the food as much as we did because it wasn't adapted to the German palate. My pizza was absolute perfection, I had the Bufala, with little burrata balls and tomatoes. The dough in the middle was super crispy, despite a lot of tomato sauce, and the edge was really fluffy. As I said, you have to appreciate Neapolitan pizza and don't expect kebab shop pizza. The verdure grillata was pickled a little too sour for my taste, but that's purely personal preference.

The first time everything was ok. Pizza was OK. The second time I wanted to order Hawaiian pizza and I was arrogantly laughed at. I was told that it wasn't Italian enough. Pure cheek, as a customer I can decide what I want on my pizza. In return they sell carbonara with cream. Is that Italian enough? If you drive a line, please make sure it is specific and not different here and there. I thought it was horrible to be laughed at. Seemed really patronizing to me. Something like that just doesn't work.

Landed here by chance because of the voucher book. Really good for a clubhouse. Delicious salad and pizza Neapolitan style. It takes some getting used to that the grilled vegetables on the pizza are partly. was pickled.

Best pizza I had in a long time

We were traveling with the Schlemmerblock. 2 main courses for 1. The pizzeria designated a foccacia as the main course. We found that a bit unfortunate or, to put it another way, disappointing. We had a pizza, a small salad, the foccacia and a large salad + various drinks. The service was nice, but not particularly knowledgeable and a little overwhelmed. The food was fine - nothing more, nothing less. The small salad was bad - it was so good that it had no dressing. We were looking for a new favorite Italian restaurant - it's a shame, it certainly won't be Pompei. No restaurateur is forced to take part in the gourmet block. The goal of attracting new guests cannot be achieved this way.

The food stayed in the stomach longer after the boss's action... With a voucher book we ordered a salad for 14.50 (larger bowl, that wasn't a side dish) and a pizza for 15.50 to nibble on and a pizza bread for 6.00. When we paid we saw on the receipt that the pizza bread for €6.00, which was the cheapest "meal", did not appear on the bill. If we asked, what would we have been deducted without the “pizza bread” order: "He would then have us AT the Order asked to order another main course." No sound to us BEFORE ordering. The turnover of around €8.50 more may make the boss happy...

If you want to find a corner of Italy, eat well, relax and shoot a ball: the Pompei Pizzeria Restaurant is for you! The service is excellent, a lot of attention and professionalism, capable of satisfying children and parents, young people and adults. The food, in our test, was higher than expected, therefore very good and plentiful. You can spend unforgettable evenings with friends in great serenity! I recommend the sliced ​​beef and the seafood salad (I know we are in Germany). For pizzas you are spoiled for choice. If you need something special, all you have to do is ask!

Unfortunately, it has worn off badly! Have been there several times in the past and have always been very satisfied, but yesterday it was a complete disaster. Although there were only two other guests on site apart from us, the portions of pizza bread ordered as a starter took forever. When asked, they said, "coming soon" and 10 minutes later the starter was to be served together with the main course. When we asked what small plates, olive oil and salt for the pizza bread would look like, we were told that there was no such thing - by the way, this had never been a problem in the past. The food that was then served was - apart from the two calzones and the margherita - an outrage, to say the least. The steak was hard, like the sole of a shoe, the salad was hard and bitter, the rosemary potatoes were burnt and the papardelle was tasteless. Any criticism rolled off the waiter, so we skipped dessert and decided to eat ice cream from the freezer at home.

Unfortunately I can't write a good review for this. The pizza is good, the dough is tasty and the edges are crispy. But noodles almost not seasoned. Salad very roughly cut, with whole tomatoes and mozzarella balls and the sauce tastes like ready-made dressing. Since we picked it up ourselves and ordered it over the phone, one pizza was wrong and the rest was cold. So we don't give you any more stars.

Were there for the first time today. A Schlemmerblock voucher caught our attention. The atmosphere is ok, it's a clubhouse. The service was great, the food was delicious and the portions were generous. Price wise also okay. We had a starter, pizza margarita, salad with turkey and a meal of the day (cordon bleu with asparagus and potatoes) and the son even had ice cream. Our son says the pizza gets a 10 out of 10. But the dough was also really delicious. There was a lot of salad and also very good. The same goes for the meal of the day. We will definitely come back :-)

I would love to give more stars! It pizza is fantastic, so delicious! Made in a very tasty Neapolitan way. I had the seafood pizza which had great toppings, really great. The tiramisu was so delicious too. We will definitely come back and recommend it to our friends. And by the way, payment via Pay Pal is also possible, which also gives you a plus point.

The service is very friendly and the dishes are very inexpensive. The portions are large, so value for money is definitely right here. The food is very tasty, there is a large selection of Italian dishes. In summer you can sit on the terrace and watch the footballers.

I'm rarely speechless and wonder who can give more than three stars here.. I was invited in advance because I would never go to such a location voluntarily. I am also writing these lines from where the emperor is going on foot. But from the front .. there was no ambience .. service was haphazard .. be it matching cutlery for the dishes or glasses .. ordered things several times and it was out .. Pizza limp and watery (molded cheese) Pasta drowns in an indefinable mass Al forno also with the pseudo cheese full.. Starters zero sophistication .. just cheap nothing fresh I skipped dessert because the quiet place called to me very loudly.. For me, the worst thing I've experienced in a long time... Sorry, but that didn't matter.. I have to avoid such footballer bars more consistently because nothing good can come of it.. so it's my own fault..

Some of the food was good. Mussels not edible. Despite complaints, no replacement. They could make more sales if they came to the table more often. Italian guests are given priority.

We received a very warm welcome. The salad was large and tasty. Noodle super tasty. Schnitzel also great. We'd love to come back.

Als Hauptspeisen hatten wir eine klassische Pizza mit gefüllten Rand und Parpadelle mit Trüffel. Selten haben wir so gut gegessen. Die Pizza konnte mit ihrem Teig sehr überzeugen und ist unserer Meinung nach die beste Pizza im Kreis Karlsruhe. Die Trüffel-Pasta waren unglaublich gut! Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist Top! Wir sind sehr froh, dass wir das Restaurant entdeckt haben und kommen gerne wieder! 😊
