A great Italian restaurant. Delicious food with a wide selection. Excellent service. A true Italian experience.

Beautiful, clean restaurant, delicious food, and top-notch service! The staff had a great sense of humor and were very helpful with all our questions. Despite the restaurant being quite full, our food was prepared quickly and without any issues. The prices are justified by the portion size, quality, and service.

Top, super pizza, friendly service, great ambience... just right

Making a reservation was quick and easy. We were greeted warmly, I assume by the owner. It's a bit cozy inside, warm, and moderately noisy. However, it was easy to have a good conversation. The service was extremely friendly. The portions were reasonable in size and price. Everything from appetizer to dessert was delicious. I highly recommend Meli and would definitely come back.

Unfriendly staff, families with children are not welcome here. The restaurant was at most half full, and we were sent away. You feel uncomfortable here.

We stopped by for dinner relatively spontaneously (although we made a last-minute reservation, which is recommended) and received a very friendly welcome! I'd like to take this opportunity to particularly praise the service for its outstanding professionalism, speed, and respectful and humorous manners! The meal itself, our choice of tomato soup, pennette all arrabbiata, lasagna al forno, and coffee, was nevertheless excellent. A successful visit that made our evening even more special. Many thanks to the team!

What went wrong...??? We were both warmly welcomed at the pizzeria. We received prompt and friendly service and a delicious drink, and then... the pizza came quickly, but it was simply NOT good!!!!! The base and toppings were a tasteless, sticky mess. My husband's spicy pizza still had some flavor, but nothing more... The guests around us were all happily eating. Apparently, their food was good. We told the waiter that we did NOT like the pizza and received no feedback! However, since we were still comfortably seated, we did not leave immediately and had ample opportunity to reflect on our disappointment. None of that... Apart from the fact that the food was truly awful, we think the efficient waiter could have at least apologized for the dissatisfied customers of this popular pizzeria. What a shame, hence the 2 stars.

The food was served very quickly and tasted excellent, the prices were also reasonable, but the waiting time for payment was long because the restaurant is usually very busy.

The restaurant "is" a gem of Rudolstadt. I wanted to enjoy my Rudolstadt farewell meal in the highest quality. Of course, it worked out. All the best, Rudolstadt!

We really enjoyed it and enjoyed the food. The service was very friendly and attentive. The only thing I would like to mention is that the non-alcoholic bottled beer could be cooler.

The pizzas are highly recommended, but we were really unlucky with the steak… The starters could be better; they lacked a bit of seasoning and love.

The atmosphere seems a bit old-fashioned. Unfortunately, the taste of the food was not convincing. The pizza worked, the rest was largely tasteless. The appetizer platter was the best. We hadn't been there for a long time and thought we'd try it again... I ate much better there, especially since the prices weren't a bargain, especially for Rudolstadt. It was quite busy, so the service took a while. He was friendly, but not outstanding.

Even though it was already 9:30 p.m. there was still very good warm food in Rudolstadt Because in most restaurants the kitchen closes at 9 p.m.🤷‍♂️

The food tasted very good, the staff is friendly and quick, and the atmosphere is also fine. Prices are OK 👌, all in all a good Italian restaurant, we'll be back.

And very good, somewhat high-priced restaurant. Very good food, the swordfish carpaccio on rocket with parmesan was excellent as a starter. As a main course, risotto with salmon and zucchini, good combination with warm salmon and some smoked salmon. The tiramisu was quite good and can also be recommended. The amarena cup still has room for improvement, I didn't find the combination of fruit ice cream and strawberry to be a good one. The service was first class. Definitely all recommended.

We were in Rudolstadt today and went to the castle based on a recommendation from the restaurant. And I have to say, that was great. Very very friendly staff, Food exceeded expectations. Ambiance very very inviting. In short, we are so happy that we will definitely be with you again next year. There were 8 of us (6 adults + 2 kids). I was there for dinner with my friend one day. The service is a bit impersonal, but friendly. Cleanliness was great, the atmosphere was quite nice. He thought my friend's schnitzel dish was delicious. Unfortunately, my pasta with pesto was just terrible.

We ate here on the first day of our New Year's holiday and were blown away. We had to go there again on the last evening, and there was no chance of getting a seat without booking - which of course speaks for the restaurant! Very nice staff, there was even time for a chat. The food came quickly and there were plenty of large portions, a starter wouldn't have been necessary😉 Everything clean and tidy, great atmosphere. We can only recommend this Italian restaurant!!! An institution in Rudolstadt, the food is always delicious. You can order any dish without hesitation, everything tastes great. Just a note: there is bruschetta even though it's not on the menu.

The atmosphere is nice, the service is friendly and attentive. The food is mediocre at best and doesn't fit with the upscale decor. Poorly seasoned or not seasoned at all, just plain bland. A lot of things taste like ready-made ingredients. You can get it tastier and fresher at home. We have been there again for a long time and were disappointed.

Were visiting Rudolstadt and celebrated a 50th BIRTHDAY in the Ristorante. We felt very comfortable and the food was very tasty.

Something went wrong with our order and we had to wait 1.5 hours for the food. The waiter explained the mishap to us and apologized to us. We thought it was great that he was honest and told us that the order had been lost. As an apology, he covered the cost of the food and drinks. We say thank you for your honesty and taking over the bill.

What a beautiful restaurant!!! The service first class! There were three of us with our daughter. The first thing that was brought in was a children's chair and finally she was given cutlery straight away. What a rarity, unfortunately it is no longer a given. The food was also super tasty. Even though the restaurant was busy, we paid after 45 minutes and that's saying something. Definitely worth a visit! Definitely 5 🌟

The Italian restaurant Da Meli in Rudolstadt offers a pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff. These two aspects are definitely the strengths of the restaurant and contribute to a positive overall impression. However, the price-performance ratio leaves a lot to be desired. The pizzas are significantly more expensive compared to other restaurants in the region, and unfortunately they lack that certain something that you would hope for from an Italian pizza. The dough is rather firm, almost like a baguette, and the ingredients could use more seasoning. With a beer price of €5.50, you'll have to dig deep into your pockets here too. Although you can hardly get better pizzas in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district, that's not high praise. For truly outstanding Italian pizza you have to travel to Erfurt or Arnstadt. Overall, the price-performance ratio at Da Meli isn't quite right, which unfortunately clouds the rating.

We've eaten there again for a long time and were really pleasantly surprised. The food was very tasty, whether starter or main course. The highlight was the waitresses, they were fantastic with our daughter. We joked around and gave her an entertaining evening and let us parents enjoy a relaxed meal. I also really like the ambience, chic enough to get dressed up, but not too snooty that you can't spontaneously pop in in your everyday clothes. 😉 Overall good, we hope it stays that way and would like to come back more often. 🙂
