Something went wrong with our order and we had to wait 1.5 hours for the food. The waiter explained the mishap to us and apologized to us. We thought it was great that he was honest and told us that the order had been lost. As an apology, he covered the cost of the food and drinks. We say thank you for your honesty and taking over the bill.

What a beautiful restaurant!!! The service first class! There were three of us with our daughter. The first thing that was brought in was a children's chair and finally she was given cutlery straight away. What a rarity, unfortunately it is no longer a given. The food was also super tasty. Even though the restaurant was busy, we paid after 45 minutes and that's saying something. Definitely worth a visit! Definitely 5 🌟

The Italian restaurant Da Meli in Rudolstadt offers a pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff. These two aspects are definitely the strengths of the restaurant and contribute to a positive overall impression. However, the price-performance ratio leaves a lot to be desired. The pizzas are significantly more expensive compared to other restaurants in the region, and unfortunately they lack that certain something that you would hope for from an Italian pizza. The dough is rather firm, almost like a baguette, and the ingredients could use more seasoning. With a beer price of €5.50, you'll have to dig deep into your pockets here too. Although you can hardly get better pizzas in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district, that's not high praise. For truly outstanding Italian pizza you have to travel to Erfurt or Arnstadt. Overall, the price-performance ratio at Da Meli isn't quite right, which unfortunately clouds the rating.

We've eaten there again for a long time and were really pleasantly surprised. The food was very tasty, whether starter or main course. The highlight was the waitresses, they were fantastic with our daughter. We joked around and gave her an entertaining evening and let us parents enjoy a relaxed meal. I also really like the ambience, chic enough to get dressed up, but not too snooty that you can't spontaneously pop in in your everyday clothes. 😉 Overall good, we hope it stays that way and would like to come back more often. 🙂

I was there for several days. Hike, absorb history. In Rudolstadt I would have liked to have regional cuisine, but there was only Turkish and Asian. So it's better not to experiment and go to the Italian, especially since it's well discussed. Was a direct hit. A waiter wanted to collect even though I hadn't had a digestive or espresso yet, but mistakes happen. I would go there again.

Food was good, but just not enough for the price. The service was very nice. Maybe my Parma ham was simply bought on the wrong day, 3 small pieces of frozen Bugett and 5 small balls of melon then the really good ham unfortunately didn't make up for it.

Very well located restaurant with parking right in front of the door. The weather was right and I sat outside on the terrace, the service was very friendly, I decided on a large pizza and shandy, which was served quickly and was really tasty. Great selection and reasonable prices, very high quality so I was thrilled and came back straight away two days later

We were able to get a table by booking in advance for a Sunday evening. Extensive menu plus special offers for Easter. Once we had finished our meals, the waiter was able to convince us that we definitely needed dessert. 🤩 Here too, special requests were taken into account and a Zabanione was made - even though it wasn't on the menu.

Very very friendly staff. Not every dish tasteful. Cozy atmosphere The pasta dishes at the table all had to be seasoned because they were quite tasteless. Pizza looked good from a distance. I can recommend veal and lasagna. My beer glass had a sticky handle, a knife at the table was dirty, the parmesan that was served at the beginning had mold on it. A neighbor at the table had stomach problems for a week after the visit. Food isn't all that great. Hygiene is questionable. Staff very nice and accommodating.

Leckeres Essen, leider mussten wir recht lange darauf warten .

4 Personen die das Essen genossen haben. Freundliches aufmerksames und diskretes Personal. Hier wird erstklassige italienisch bedient.

Wir hatten uns für die Linguini mit Steinpilzen/bzw. mit Entenragout und Steinpilzen entschieden. Serviert wurde ein sehr großer Teller mit viel, viel, viel, viel Bandnudeln und ein paar (3 oder 4) Stückchen Steinpilze aus dem Glas. Bei dem einen Gericht mit einer geschmacksneutralen weißen Soße und das mit Entenragout mit einer Tomatensoße. Es tut mir leid, aber Masse ist nicht gleich Klasse. In Italien ist mir eine solche Zubereitung noch nie untergekommen. Man hätte gewarnt sein müssen: Spaghetti carbonara mit Sahne gibt es in Italien auch nicht….

Wir waren mit 4 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern im Da Meli und haben so lecker gegessen. Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam. Sie haben mit den Kids geschäkert und das Essen war sehr lecker. Egal ob Salat, Pizza oder Pasta, Nachttisch - es war super. Wir waren 2 Tage später direkt wieder dort essen und haben somit das beste aus unserem Urlaub raus geholt :-) Mein Sohn wurde beim 2. Besuch sogar mit einem Küsschen begrüßt. Und ganz toll auch dass die Kindergerichte beide Male mit unseren Vorspeisen serviert wurden. SUPER 👍🏻

Wenn Du mal eine guten Grappa trinken möchtest dann bist du hier genau richtig. Wir hatten einen 4cl zu 18,50 Euro der nicht auf der Karte stand für gute Freunde. Laut Kellner kostet die Flasche fast 400 Euro, so so. Service und Essen sonst gut.

Hallo von den Vorspeisen über Hauptgänge und dem Dessert . Man kann nichts bemängeln . Alles Frisch und mit Liebe Zubereitet . Sehr Freundliche Kellner ,man fühlt sich im Da Meli richtig wohl. Kann ich jedem nur Empfehlen dort mal sich Verwöhnen zu lassen. Wir sind jetzt Stammgäste .

Wir sind spontan nach einem Abenteuer mit der Familie (eine Erwachsene, zwei Kinder) ins Restaurant eingekehrt. Trotz sonnigem Wetter und besetzten Plätzen im Außenbereich war Innen, im sehr stilvoll italienischem Innenbereich noch viel Platz. Die Musik war sehr angenehm, sowohl vom Geschmack (italienische Musik) als auch von der Lautstärke. Der Service war super, mega freundlich und kompetent in Hinsicht auf Rückfragen bzgl. der Zutaten im Essen. Hier ist auch ein Kind ganz bestimmt kein Problem. Was ein Problem sein könnte ist die Stufe am Eingang und somit für be_hinderte (vielleicht) nicht geeignet. Wir haben bestellt: Pizza Margherita -> Mega lecker, Boden dünn, leckerer Käse und Tomatensoße, alles perfekt. Pasta aglio, olio e peperoncino (mit Extrawunsch, einem Steak mit Pikanter Soße. Alles kein Problem) -> auch sehr lecker, Nudeln waren durch, das Fleisch auch, Soße war so gut das der Rest gelöffelt wurde Seezunge mit Weißweinsoße, standardmäßig mit Reis und kleinem Salat -> mega, mega! Seezunge war durch und ist auf der Zunge zergangen, Reis war Risottoreis, auf den Punkt gegart und Soße war leichtsäuerliche, gut gesalzene Weißweinsoße, absolut lecker! Der Salat war frisch und leicht mit Dressing benetzt, einfach nur ein bisschen Zitrone, aber sehr raffiniert. Essen war bei allen absolut genug um satt zu werden, sehr gute Portionierungen. Schön angerichtet. Es wurde Olivenöl und Balsamico guter Klasse zum Tisch gebracht. Geparkt werden kann auf dem gegenüberliegenden öffentlichen Parkplatz mit einem Parkticket. Letztendlich ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt mit passendem, sehr schönem Ambiente.

Wir wurden schon super freundlich empfangen. Der Tisch war ebenfalls perfekt draussen. Innerhalb von 2 Min haben wir auch bereits die Karten erhalten und alle Kellner waren wirklich super freundlich. Sogar mit einem kleinen Zwischenfall mit meinem Rotwein und einer Hornisse wurde mir sofort geholfen und den Wein "ersetzt" ;) Das Essen (alle hatten Pasta) war wirklich super. Also von A-Z super! Sehr zu empfehlen - Das nächste Mal probieren wir dann mal die Pizzen :)

Auf Grund der aktuellen Situation blieb uns nur die Möglichkeit, unser Essen abzuholen. Trotz des fehlenden Ambientes im Restaurant, genossen wir Spaghetti aglio olio e Peperoncino mit einem guten Tropfen Rotwein zu Hause. Danke!!! Wir wünschen für 2021 alles erdenklich Gute, viele treue Gäste, persönliches Glück, vor allem aber dem gesamten Team Gesundheit. Wir hoffen, bald wieder zu Gast sein zu dürfen. Pizzeria Ristorante mit schwächen! Meine Dienstreise nach Rudolstadt führte uns, mangels alternativen, drei Abende hintereinander ins Da Meli! Erster Abend: Alles war O.K. Die Vorspeise, das dreierlei Nudeln, die Getränke, sehr freundlicher Kellner, etwas Wartezeiten! Zweiter Abend ( Gruppe mit 8 Personen, Wochen vorreserviert ): Ungünstiger Tisch am Eingang, lange Wartezeiten! Halbe Stunde vor leeren Gläsern, 2 Bestellungen vergessen, Highlight war das Dessert Crustino! Dritter Abend, zwei Personen: Volles Restaurant, ruhiger Nebenraum, Vorspeise ( Tortelini in Brodo ) Hammer! Eine Hauptspeise falsch aufgenommen, kann passieren, warte ich eben. Wein zum Essen! Jede Weinkaraffe ( 0,25L ) hatte innen eklige dunkle Flecken!!!😕 Wein war O.K. Gut mit viel Verbesserungspotetial! p.s. aus der sicht des hotelparkplatz würde die küche auch mal neue farbe brauchen !

Gemütliche Atmosphäre und ausgezeichnete Küche. Besonders empfehlenswerte Kalbsleber in Weißwein. Darüber hinaus sind die Gemüse al dente. Immer wieder!
