8 euros for a few leaves of arugula with sliced cucumber and half a tomato is simply outrageous. And the pizza base wasn't anything special either.

Beware of price traps! The dishes advertised outside have no price and are ultimately completely overpriced. We and two neighboring tables were miscalculated. Best to avoid.

The pizza wasn't cooked through (looked suspiciously like frozen pizza), and the schnitzel could have been fried. Too tired to say anything, so it was our own fault.

We'll be happy to come back; the atmosphere is always lovely, the service is attentive, and the food is delicious. We were customers when it was still called La Sera.

The service was attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was okay, apart from minor issues like a loose backrest on one bench and the inconsistent table setting. The glare-free lighting was a bit distracting at times. On the other hand, the restrooms were very dimly lit and not particularly clean. The pizzas, Toscana and Sandra, were not good: The pizza sauce was light and almost tasteless, the dough, although crispy around the edges, was floury, and the toppings also had little flavor. Even the pepperoni sausage lacked the usual seasoning. The onions were carelessly spread on the pizza and were rather raw, lacking any roasted flavor. Any frozen pizza tastes better. I've never seasoned a pizza before, but here, salt and pepper were needed to add at least some flavor. On the bill we actually received, we later discovered that we had been charged for the wrong drink (0.4 instead of 0.3). Conclusion: Both the food and the drinks are overpriced and unfortunately not worth the money.

We went there because of a supposed insider tip! Prices for food and drinks were significantly overpriced! Portions were very small, and the quality was below average—very disappointing!

The location is great! The ambiance is good! The food itself is nothing special. They should either learn to serve the schnitzel differently or remove it from the menu altogether!

Let's start with the positive. The service was friendly, the location is good. Unfortunately, the pizza is really abysmal for a "pizzeria" for the exorbitant price. If you call yourself that, your product should be a flagship. Prices are generally not appropriate for the quality. A whopping sum for a Gerolsteiner water... Otherwise, the classic: When you ask for the bill, you don't get a bill, but are given a number. Sad. More likely for random, one-time customers.

That was (I thought about it for a long time) probably the worst pizza of my life. Everything was frozen, unloving, and the service was unfriendly. Just go a few doors down to Napolitana and have them make you a real stone-baked pizza.

Everything (!) is convenience food. Bad, greasy pizza. Unfriendly service. Anyone who knows what to look for will only find convenience foods. Terrible location. It's just a nice place to sit.

Unfortunately, 2 out of 3 people didn't like the food at all. They also didn't have the right dish. My portion of agio e olio was full of all sorts of things that had no place in this dish, and therefore it simply didn't meet my expectations. The focaccia, on the other hand, was good. Overall, though, no one asked if the food was tasty or anything else. But for the quality and so on, the dishes are too expensive.

We ordered a cappuccino, which I believe comes from a portafilter machine at an Italian restaurant, but this one came from a coffee machine, which tasted of absolutely everything except a cappuccino... I noticed that the owners aren't Italian, but from Turkey. Despite complaining about the cappuccino, I was charged the full price... I call that ripping off customers, which, in turn, has nothing to do with customer service. Best regards

Food below average, but prices above average. Very disappointing. Pizza with a lot of hard, dry crust and few toppings.

Without any great expectations, we stopped here for a pizza on Saturday lunchtime due to the lack of a choice of restaurants. Absolutely positively surprised, very attentive service, top pizza and fine grappa at the end. Ambience is functional, but not super cozy, otherwise nothing to complain about.

An eyesore in the old town. Pure tourist trap that unfortunately hasn't been banned from the city yet. I don't know anyone from Wetzlar or the surrounding area who eats here regularly.

The pizzas were excellent, but when it comes to paying, they refuse our maestro card, and then also the visa card. Could walk 20 minutes to ATM and back. Only EC card according to the best man. WHAT A BACKWARD COUNTRY

The prices are quite high. For malt beer 0.33 5 euros. For chicken breast with herb butter 20 euros. There are cheap alternatives in Wetzlar.

The food is ready quickly. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether that's good or bad, because unfortunately the quality isn't all that good. The prices for everything except pizza are extremely high (20€ for pasta) but unfortunately the taste is only "okay".

Absolutely frustrating!!! The prices on the menu posted outside were already relatively expensive, but inside on the menu they were even higher! The food wasn't not to be enjoyed. The pizza was only half baked, the lasagna with salmon was like a loveless mush. In addition, the portion was extremely small. The Lasagna Bolognese was the size of a “normal” lasagna, but the taste was also 0/10. There is no price-performance ratio here!!

Unfortunately, pizza was a bit burnt, which was the main part of the taste. On the positive side, there is a free soup as a greeting from the kitchen. Card payments are virtually impossible there due to poor internet reception.

I was there with my partner and we got a very tasty soup on the house, which made us very happy. It was good timing from soup - to salad and main course. The food itself was quite good, the herb butter could have been homemade instead of ready-made. When I was paying, I also noticed that the balsamic vinegar at the counter was from “Gut & Günstig”. My chicken breast fillet cost a whopping €20, which I found to be too expensive as I had a total of 3 - 4 potatoes cut in half on my plate. The waiters were very friendly but unfortunately I wouldn't come back a second time. The music was definitely too loud and the same three songs always played on a loop. I also found the smell unpleasant.

Once and never again!!! I ordered the spaghetti in parmesan cheese. But the cheese body is Grana Padana. When asked, they just said it was parmesan. NO IT'S NOT ! If I pay €22 for spaghetti, I want what is advertised. Absolute cheekiness. But what do you expect when the operators are not Italian but Arab. The taste was OK, but not what I ordered🤷‍♂️ My wife's pizza wasn't great either. Visually like a frozen pizza with a little extra toppings.

I would prefer to give 0 stars. The plates are dirty, there is an unpleasant smell there, the service wasn't great either, but the food was the biggest disaster. The spaghetti carbonara only tasted like unseasoned milk and the pasta was overcooked. The lasagne with salmon only tasted like the sea, plus the prices were incredibly high. Spaghetti Carbonara that tastes like nothing for 18€?? I've never had such a bad meal in a restaurant. We all felt really sick afterwards and it was noticeable in the toilet too. Never again!

The food was tasty, but the atmosphere is seriously undermined if you are not allowed to pay with a Visa card. This happened to us tonight. In the end we were able to pay our bill our (Visa) way, but be warned!!!

We wanted to visit the bridge festival in Wetzlar. Compared to previous years, it was totally slimmed down. So we decided to go out to eat. Unfortunately, our Italian restaurant at the cathedral was full. That's why we came here. First of all, the food was okay. To start with, as we always do in any restaurant, we ordered a large bottle of water. Drinks with dinner later. If only we had looked at the cards - €10.00 for a bottle of water was later on the bill. We have never paid so much for a bottle of water. Not in Vienna, in Rome or anywhere else. The prices for the food are extremely high and bear no relation to the quality. I ordered a salad with yogurt dressing and my wife ordered a pizza. My salad came with vinegar and oil. I then ordered an extra portion of yogurt dressing. It came – pure yogurt. When I mentioned this, I was told: I only work here! Great. Only cash was accepted for payment and after a little discussion there was also a machine receipt. We do not recommend the restaurant.

Unfriendly boss, we were completely ignored when we entered the restaurant. When we arrived with the gourmet block, it was completely over. Then came the pizza that wasn't baked through. When we got the bill we were charged 10 euros more. We noticed it and asked for a receipt, suddenly we got the 10 euros back. 👎

We've been there several times and I think the price-performance ratio is no longer right.

The recommended meal was very expensive (liver = €25 / fish platter = €32), but also very tasty. We still recommend avoiding this place as we were charged EUR 10 for one (1) bottle of 0.7l Gerolsteiner mineral water and EUR 9 for one (1) glass of 0.2l dry white wine. The price and ambience are disproportionate for us and absolutely not worth recommending.

The service was nice. We were there for the first time with the Schlemmerblock. I can't say whether the portions or side salads are usually different. The side salad was very poor, elsewhere it is the decoration on the plate. Rump steak with fries 28 euros, gnocchi with vegetables, pieces of beef (mixed) and tomato sauce 20 euros. 2 small schnitzels with pepper sauce and a handful of fries 18 euros. Quality of the schnitzel was so-so and the fries were very soft. I don't remember the price of the lasagne. Despite the 4:2 gourmet block, we paid over 70 euros for drinks. (0.75 water 10 euros!) Conclusion: We won't go here anymore.

I was here for lunch, the food was great but the service was very poor. When I was asked for the bill, the waiter just said the total amount, with no bill in hand. Only on my second request was an invoice presented. Then we wanted to pay by card and were told cash only, after a short discussion we could finally pay by card (??). What really shocked me was the 10 euros for a bottle of water, what a rip off. Personally I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The prices on the regular menu were quite high. However, we decided on two dishes from the daily menu: a schnitzel and gnocchi. Both were delicious and reasonably priced. The service was also friendly and nice.

I'm not used to leaving negative comments, but this place can't have the right to sell itself as Italian. Luckily we decided to have an aperitif first with bruschetta and spritz. Bruschettas are not simply warmed bread with tomato on top, they are something else!!! And the spritz?!?!? The worst of my life! The Pizza we saw being brought to the next table looked like defrosted pizza... pasta with some orange slices as decoration!?!?! Never seen it!!! I understand that abroad you should never, ever eat in an "Italian" restaurant but this is too much... shameful!

Far too expensive for the performance. Rip off. The pizza tastes like it has cake dough and the olive oil brought to the table is from Gut&Günstig. In short: This is fast food at high-end restaurant prices. Regarding the drinks: I think 5 euros for a small glass of non-alcoholic Pils is too much. In Wetzlar there is the Wirt am Dom or Tre Panoce. Both restaurants are much better.

In summary: unfortunately bad and expensive. Unfortunately the food is not Italian. The quality is not up to par and the prices are far too high.

We were tourists in Wetzler in the city center and discovered this restaurant by chance, which is very close to the old town center. The staff, the nice young man, was very friendly, always ready to answer our questions and very happy to take photos for us :-). We ordered the seafood grill platter, it was so delicious and fresh! We would like to come back :-)

Extremely bad food, outrageous prices. Food comes from the freezer into the oven, pizzas are rock hard on the inside. That's why it doesn't take long until the food comes to the table. 9 euros for 0.2 glass of wine... pizza bread should cost 5 euros? Then they give you the bread even though you only ordered salad (without ordering the bread), you ask for more bread (you think ok, I'll pay extra now), but nope, you just see like an MA suddenly 10 euros for that Bread is charged... You don't get the bill there either, but now why? I have an answer for that too. Just like one is allowed to pay with EC and the other is not... To be honest, the Italian flag has no place there. Not recommended.

The operator of this restaurant should have his business license revoked! As the previous speakers already said: cheap frozen pizza, lasagna absolutely tasteless, every canteen can do it better. You could also see from the food at the neighboring table that 99% of the plate was convenience products. And then for such prices! You really should be ashamed of yourself! If there is really a trained chef at the stove here, he should also think about his calling. The service is absolutely unprofessional, the prices are chosen at the table (of course without an invoice). The owner, if he was the owner, is absolutely aggressive towards everything and everyone. Once and never again.

We left hungry, very small portions (Jägerschnitzel was good, but only half a schnitzel), pizza wasn't 28cm and dough wasn't cooked properly, no EC payment was possible and we didn't receive an invoice. We are disappointed and will definitely not be coming back.

Sat outside today in the sunshine. We didn't order any food but only two drinks. 1 large Diet Coke and 1 wheat beer are an impressive €10.50! paid. According to the drinks menu published here it would only be €9.50, so not current. Should definitely be up to date. But 2 drinks for €10.50 is amazing. We will not visit again in the future.

Had dinner there today. The food pizza, lasange and Wiener schnitzel were ok. But the prices for food (pizza 16,-) and drinks (1L water 10,-, alcoholic beer 0.5 L 6,-) are an absolute disgrace.

We were here for the first time a month ago and wanted to see what Argentinian steak tasted like in an Italian restaurant. What can I say: Today we drove over 100km to be able to enjoy this great food again. The service is great and it's definitely not the last time we've been here. It's a very nice place, you get a very warm welcome, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful.

Table cloth was stained and dirty. The music was loud and annoying. Of the dishes we ordered one was good, the others pretty mediocre. Fish tasted as if it hadn’t been handled properly and the tomato sauce was bland. Noodles were extremely soggy and over cooked.

Die Tomatensahnesoße schmeckte wie die Fertigsoße von Buitoni und die Gemüsebeilage schien mit Maggi gewürzt zu sein. Dies ist augenscheinlich ein italienisches Restaurant, italienisch spricht hier aber definitiv niemand.

Wir waren heute spontan hier essen. Von außen macht das Restaurant einen guten Eindruck. Wenn man sich vor der Tür die Karte durchliest wird man direkt angesprochen und ins Lokal gelockt. Auf der Karte wird mit Italien Flagge geworben. Italiener war hier unserer Meinung nach keiner. Wir hatten 3 verschiedene Pizzas. Man konnte es essen aber von der Größe und Qualität waren diese auf keinen Fall 12 € Wert. Wir hatten dann noch 3 Getränke und es ist uns leider erst jetzt zuhause beim nochmal in die Karte gucken aufgefallen das wir vom Kellner falsch abgerechnet wurden. Statt 48,50 € sollten wir 52,50€ bezahlen. Rechnung hat man natürlich wie viele hier geschrieben haben keine erhalten. Wir kommen definitiv nicht nochmal wieder.

Wir hatten einmal Grillteller in der Empfehlung bestellt mit Lachs Dorade und Zander. Und einmal Grillteller mit Rumpsteak, Lendchen und Hähnchen. Jeweils 32 €! Um es kurz zu machen, diese armen Tiere sind mehrfach gestorben. Grau und/oder hart. Das beste waren die Pommes! Salat war auch ok! Später kam jemand an unseren Tisch, nachdem wir dieses Desaster zurück gehen gelassen haben, der sich entschuldigte. Er wäre der Koch, war aber kurz nicht da. Ist normal kein Thema! Aber dann bietet man nicht solch ein Essen an, in dieser Preiskkasse! Und "dieser" Koch war danach nicht etwa in der Küche, sondern kassierte die Preise!!! 3 Weißweinschorle, 4 Weißwein, zwei angeknabberte Salate und das tote Hähnchenschnitzel, was ich den Hunden gab. Ich zahle ja auch, was ich esse... oder die Hunde.... Ergebnis: knapp 80 € ohne Kassenbon. 😵 Haben wir da einen schlechte Tag ohne Chefkoch erwischt? Ich denke nicht... an einem Neventisch verbrannte Lasagne, am anderen Tisch Minestrone ohne Geschnack. Mehr Gäste gab es nicht.... Lieber Gastronom: Wir sind schweinereiche Hobbyköche... Es kommt nicht auf das Outfit an 🥹
