Das Essen war gut und die Atmosphäre super 🥳, ich kann es nur empfehlen!

Sehr freundliches Personal und das Essen war sehr lecker. Hat überhaupt nicht lange gedauert. Wir haben einen Salat und Pizza gegessen. Alles wurde frisch zubereitet mit viel Liebe und Engagement. Das hat man gemerkt. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen.

Ich kann leider meinen vorbewertern nicht zustimmen. Haben heute Schitzel überbacken und Schitzel Paprika bestellt jeweils mit Fritten. Das Fleisch war gut, die Fritten als die aufgewärmt waren. Die Soßen waren nicht lecker. Schade drum.

Tolle Pizzeria mit hervorragender Pizza!

Wir waren das erste mal da, und haben hervorragendes Essen bekommen, besonders gut war die Pasta mit Limonen-Sauce. Sehr freundlicher Service! Was nicht so schön war, dass wir auf zwei Essen eine Stunde warten mussten, wir kommen trotzdem wieder. Ansonsten bitte weiter so gut kochen.

Im Innenraum fühlte ich mich wie in "Klein Italien" - hat mich sehr abgeholt. Und dann noch super leckere Pizza!!! Ich komme gerne wieder.

Wunderbare und sehr zuvorkommende Bedienung. Alle waren mit dem Essen sehr zufrieden. Preis - Leistungsverhältnis passt. Lokal ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Das Lokal ist klein und etwas eng bestuhlt. Deshalb habe ich bei "Ambiente" nur vier Sterne vergeben. Alles andere, Essen Personal, Freundlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft hätten sechs Sterne verdient. Leider bin ich zu selten in der Region, sonst wäre das mein Stammlokal. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend.

Ein absolut "geiler" Abend. Lecker gegessen, toller Service und im Anschluss kam der Koch aus der Küche und hat Karaoke gesungen. Eine wahnsinns Stimme. Danach durfte jeder, der wollte auch noch singen . Das war mit Sicherheit unser erster, aber auf keinen Fall unser letzter Besuch hier.

Auf Empfehlung eines Freundes erstmalig im Castello gewesen und auf Anhieb begeistert! Leckere Vorspeisenplatte und fantastische Pizza, auch das Nudelgericht meiner Frau schmeckte hervorragend und war auch sehr authentisch italienisch zubereitet. Dazu noch sehr freundliches Servicepersonal, so, wie es man sich wünscht. Es war nicht das letzte Mal, dass wir uns dort einen italienischen Kurzurlaub gegönnt haben!

The food was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was fantastic! The owners were incredibly friendly. After cooking, the chef entertained the guests with his singing! We had a truly wonderful evening!

There were four of us at the restaurant, and everything went very smoothly and quickly. I had a fantastic pizza, the best I've had in ages, and my tablemates were also very impressed with their food—salads, etc. Even the owner personally attended to my companion's special request regarding pasta, and they served spelt pasta because she has an intolerance to regular pasta. The highlight was the great atmosphere created by the entire staff, as well as the singing chef later in the evening. It was a wonderful evening. A very nice, typically Italian restaurant. The spaghetti al limone is spectacular. The service is excellent. The highlight is definitely the singing chef. It doesn't get more Italian than this.

Whatever you do, don't change the side dish! Instead of fries, we asked if pasta was an option. No problem, but then came the nasty surprise when the bill arrived. An extra €5 for a few spaghetti with our schnitzel. We hadn't been informed of this beforehand, and when we asked why the extra €5 was charged, they admitted their mistake, but offered no understanding beyond a lot of arguing. By the way, fries cost €4, which the restaurant owners saved themselves, and then charged another €5 for pasta. That's no way to treat guests.

Best Italian restaurant. The food is exquisite, and the owner and staff are incredibly friendly. A welcoming, family atmosphere. You simply feel right at home.

We arrived as strangers and left as friends! Pepe, Maria, and Patrick: Thank you so, so much for your incredible hospitality! We have rarely experienced such heartfelt hospitality as yours! The quality of the food also impressed us beyond measure – the love for good food and the well-being of the guest are paramount here. We only had pizza, but it was so exquisite that words fail to describe it. You can taste the fermentation of the dough, which is what makes a truly great pizza! And Pepe gives the dough the time it needs to ferment, which makes it both digestible and incredibly flavorful. Topped with the finest ingredients, it becomes the crispiest and most delicious pizza we've ever had, served to us with such kindness by Maria and Patrick. Even during our meal, we enjoyed unobtrusive yet attentive service: WORLD CLASS!! We will gladly return and highly recommend a visit!

We were on vacation in Klingenberg for five days at the beginning of October. During that time, we ate at the pizzeria twice, and both times we were all very satisfied. Delicious food, very friendly service, everything was perfect. If we vacation there again in 2026, we'll be happy to stop by again.

It was a great evening, with very friendly staff, excellent food, and generous portions. The restaurant is busy, and they also do a lot of pickup and delivery... Nice evening, would recommend it anytime. Four of us were there, and everyone enjoyed it.

Wow, what a place… ❤️ I was looking for a quick takeaway Pizza and tried Al Castello, which sadly was closed. However Mr Finazzo said he could cook me pasta rather than seeing me go hungry. I ended up dining in, and having the best Spaghetti Carbonara I’ve ever tasted, & some awesome company to boot! If you want food from the heart served by people that really care, then this is the place to go. As a Kiwi, 🥝 18,0000 km from home, I’m reminded that wherever you go in the world, there are genuinely great people out there… Thanks Mr Finazzo (Jnr & Snr) & your “brother” , I’ll remember your epic hospitality for many years to come ❤️❤️❤️

An Italian restaurant run by Italians. The friendly Antonella welcomes guests and strives to make them feel at home. The food is good: both the pasta dishes and the pizza. The restaurant is convenient (a 7-minute walk) for campers visiting the nearby riverside rest area.

We stopped by by bike, even though it was a day off, but we were given something to drink. The owner was very nice.

Update 2025: We, along with many other guests that day, waited over an hour and a half for our food and then left hungry. The service and kitchen staff were obviously completely overwhelmed and repeatedly fobbed us off with "food coming soon." This was especially annoying because we had a reservation for 5:30 PM and were supposed to be at Clingenburg for the musical at 7:30 PM. Since we didn't want to miss it, we left at 7:00 PM without eating. Two stars nonetheless, because the food has been good in the past (but not "waiting two hours for food" good). —————— Very delicious food and super friendly staff! I would have appreciated a larger selection of vegetarian dishes, though.

Before we go in, we ask if we can get food within an hour, as we have a follow-up appointment. The answer is no problem. After an hour, we ask again, as we still haven't received any food. The answer is: "Go out immediately." 15 minutes later, still nothing. We paid for our drinks. No apology despite the previous agreement. No discount on the drinks. Change of 1 euro in 10-cent pieces. I reluctantly declined. I even had to listen to insults about having no respect. There's no respect for customers here!!! Delivery orders were constantly being sent out, but the customers in the restaurant were kept waiting. We weren't the only ones complaining that evening. If we hadn't explicitly asked beforehand! An immediate cancellation would have been okay. But making someone wait 1.5 hours and then cheekily trying to talk about respect. That's completely unacceptable. The only thing that matters here seems to be the cash register. I'm definitely not going here again.

A truly comforting cake! We ate an excellent pizza and enjoyed chilled drinks in the evening. The price-performance ratio is just right here! We've rarely visited a place run with such passion. 😊. The chef here has a wonderful voice and takes guests on a musical Italian journey. A very personable boss who recognizes the strengths of his team! We had a fantastic evening. We were traveling from Bonn to Klingenburg for a wedding and arrived quite late in the evening. By chance, we stumbled upon the Pizzeria Al Castello, where we enjoyed a delicious pizza in a wonderful, family-friendly atmosphere! Our highlight was the (impromptu) karaoke performance by the staff! Captivating songs by Eros Ramazotti and Elvis Presley sung with magnificent voices – thank you so much for this evening, which we will remember for a long time! We'd love to come again! :)

I ordered one of their specialty pizzas, and it was truly a masterpiece — beautifully baked with a golden, crispy crust and generously topped with fresh cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, sausage, and a delightful blend of melted mozzarella. Each bite was rich in flavor, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. To complement the meal, I had a glass of Faust Pils, which was served ice-cold in a tall glass and paired wonderfully with the pizza. Crisp and refreshing! A very nice little restaurant. The Italian restaurant Al Castello is located in a quiet, secluded spot in Klingenberg am Main. The food impresses with its quality of taste and presentation. It may sound exaggerated, but it was the best pizza I've ever eaten. Whether it's because of the Italian management, I don't know. But it was worth it.

Pizza is very German and is baked beautifully, but the pond doesn't rest for too long, so it's very heavy on the stomach. Pasta dishes are made with cream. Good Italians cook without cream

I can recommend this restaurant 100%. We stopped there by chance, but from now on we will consciously come back every time we stay in Klingenberg. It was so awesome that we came back the next day. The food was great, whether it was pizza, schnitzel or pasta, it was all really tasty. The highlight was the chef's singing performance. On the first evening we basically got a private concert just for us and the next evening he sang for everyone again in every free minute when the restaurant was full. All in all, absolutely successful. Keep it up, you're a great team. We'll definitely be back.

Were at the motorhome parking space and ordered our food there. What can you say - order from a friendly employee - delivery time is very short 30 minutes - delivery by a friendly employee - food very good and filling. 5 stars + fully deserved. We will definitely order there again next time we stay.

The pizzeria is one of the few that still prepares real, traditional pizzas. The dough is baked in the classic way and is usually thick and airy, which makes it easy on the stomach. In complete contrast to many other pizzas, which are difficult to digest due to their non-aerated dough. All the dishes I have tried so far have tasted very good. Particularly noteworthy are the schnitzels and burgers, which are also very well prepared. The price-performance ratio is great because you get a decent portion that fills you up and the pizzas don't skimp on the amount of toppings. Another special highlight of this pizzeria is the rare but extremely charming tradition of the owner singing romantic songs with the microphone and even the employees, like the waiter, joining in. I have never experienced such an atmosphere anywhere else. The pleasant background music also contributes to this, which, together with the friendly and helpful service, creates a really nice atmosphere. The staff always seem cheerful, which makes the entire experience even more enjoyable. I also find it particularly nice that the projector is sometimes switched on to show beautiful images that further enrich the atmosphere. The location of the pizzeria is also practical as there are parking spaces in the immediate vicinity. Usually you can always find a free space there, and if not, there are other parking options a short distance away. A small point of criticism would be the size of the pizzeria. It's not particularly big and if you're going as a couple, it's better to sit on one side of the wall as the table in the middle can seem a bit cramped and you won't feel comfortable there. However, if there are four of you, the larger table is a pleasant solution and offers more space overall. Nevertheless, the positive aspects clearly outweigh the negative aspects, making this place a recommendable experience!

I'm asked if I can recommend this place? Oh yessssssss!!!!!!! We went to this cute restaurant last night. I had the best tagiatelle with salmon of my life. The portion was huge and the price was good. The team is very friendly and in a great mood. When we come back to Klingenberg, I hope there will be a place available for us again.
