The food was good and plentiful. The staff was friendly and cheerful. Visually, it's in a tennis hall, and it must have been the club's bar at some point. But again, the food is good; if you want fancy, fancy food, this is the wrong place.

I was only in the area for a few days, so I had to prioritize the best restaurants. I'm really grateful for the previous reviewers who led me to this neighborhood gem, recently transferred in ownership and authentically run by Italians. The chef and my server were super friendly, and fluent in German, Italian, and English. I started with a fresh, delicious bruschetta, lightly toasted and basted in olive oil, followed by a generous plate of beef carpaccio with arugula, shaved Parmesan, and sliced Italian bread. Very often at a new restaurant, I'll order a couple different entrees, but the spaghetti carbonara effectively did me in. It wasn't the fake creamy carbonara some places pass off ... it was just clean and rich with fresh pecorino cheese and genuine cheek lard (that's the home-spun magic, and with relatives in the deep American south, if you know, you know), seasoned with black pepper. I really lucked out for dessert ... it's off-menu at the moment, but the chef had just baked a lightly sweet ciambellone chocolate cake for himself and his family and offered me a slice. However, with this being indicative of his baking skills, I imagine guests can't go wrong on the dessert menu. It could not have been more perfect with a final espresso and biscotti. Anyway, I hope someone else finds Da Massimo and has the same wonderful time I did. It took a little digging in the city, but was exactly the right choice. Everything was fresh and rustic in the best possible way.

We ordered food and took it home. My noodles weren't cooked through. Unfortunately it didn't taste like anything. But the food was ready on time. We thought that was great.

Mi piace tornare in questo ristorante perché è un po’ come tornare in Italia, grazie all’accoglienza calorosa dei padroni di casa mi sembra di andare a mangiare da amici. L’esperienza culinaria non delude: antipasti stuzzicanti, ottima la carbonara (autentica sul menù e nel piatto!), gustosa la pinsa in tutte le sue varianti. C’è una buon numero di piatti tra i quali scegliere e anche una carta di piatti speciali. Il ristorante è il posto giusto per tutti, grazie agli ampi spazi può accogliere grandi tavolate, ma l’arredamento tradizionale lo rende anche adatto a piccoli gruppi di amici e a famiglie con bimbi. I like returning to this restaurant because it's a bit like returning to Italy, thanks to the warm welcome of the hosts I feel like I'm going to eat with friends. The culinary experience does not disappoint: appetizing appetizers, excellent carbonara (authentic on the menu and on the plate!), tasty pinsa in all its variations. There are a good number of dishes to choose from and also a menu of specials. The restaurant is the right place for everyone, thanks to the large spaces it can accommodate large tables, but the traditional furnishings also make it suitable for small groups of friends and families with children. Alpenrose has some of the best Italian food I’ve eaten in Germany. They are welcoming and generous. Truly like eating at your Italian friend’s home. The fettuccelle allo spada was perfect, I would recommend you try it. My son loves their pinsa (like a pizza on bread). Bring your family and eat well and make some new Italian friends while you are in Weiden.

Service sehr freundlich. Schöne Terrassenatmosphäre. Längere Wartezeit aufs Essen. Linguine Frutte di Mare haben nicht überzeugt. Fischplatte haben wir auch schon besser gegessen.

I haven't had the meat and fish dishes yet, but my companion was also very enthusiastic about them. The best Italian cuisine in the area and at an unbeatable price. The restaurant is located in Schützenhaus.l and accordingly it is rustically furnished and is not reminiscent of a classic Italian restaurant. But the service staff and the kitchen are even more so!

Were there for a Christmas party. 8 people were served their food after 20 minutes, 2 other people only after 50 minutes. It is the job of a good host to serve the food at the same time. Prices reasonable. The pinsa comes with a sumptuous salad

Haben verschiedene Nudel Gerichte eine Pinsa und einen Salat gegessen. Salatdressing sticht positiv heraus! Schon lange nicht mehr so ein gutes Dressing gegessen. Die Nudeln einmal mit Avocado Creme. Einmal Carbonara und einmal Tomatensoße. Alle sehr lecker! Wir werden definitiv öfter kommen!

Abends gegen 18:30 noch wenig los im Außenbereich und dennoch lange 45 Minuten Wartezeit bis das Essen serviert wurde. Die Pinsa Capricciosa geschmacklich o.k. aber relativ klein für 9€. Das Kalbfleisch des Saltimbocca Romana katastrophal, zäh und teilweise nicht essbar; für 17,90€ ist die kleine Portion das Geld nicht wert.

In questo ristorante si può assaporare la vera cucina italiana, ottime portate a base di pesce, carne e le gustosissime pinse. Devo dire che da buona italiana mi sono sentita a casa. Sehr leckere Pinsa! Die Speisekarte verspricht klassische italienische Küche mit einem modernen Touch, hier hätten wir uns noch ein bisschen mehr Auswahl an "moderneren"/ausgefalleneren Varianten gewünscht. Die Tageskarte sah diesbezüglich aber bereits vielversprechend aus in Ansätzen, vielleicht kommt hier ja noch mehr, das Restaurant ist ja noch neu :) Gewünscht hätten wir uns in jedem Fall kreativere und abwechslungsreichere Desserts und auch etwas mehr Auswahl an Nachspeisen :) Der Service war in Ordnung, freundlich - neutral. Auch hier wäre noch auf "einen Touch mehr" nach der Startphase des Restaurants zu hoffen. Das Ambiente ist sehr urig (es ist ein altes, vorher offenbar deutsches Restaurant mit Schießanlage im Keller, offenbar der Treffpunkt eines Schützenvereins vorher). Es ist durchaus gemütlich, auf Dauer kommt vielleicht noch ein von bisschen mehr italienisches Flair in die Deko (das muss ja auch gar nicht teuer sein, schon das Abnehmen der 50er-Jahre-Deko von den Wänden und des Gewehrs über dem "Stammtisch" würde viel bringen. Dazu ein paar nette Tischdecken und Kerzen/Blümchen würde hier enorm viel aufwerten). Die Parkplatzsituation ist top und die Lage an Wald sehr angenehm ruhig und mit schönem Blick in die Natur. Wir werden sicher wieder kommen.

Sehr zu empfehlen Pizza mal anders

Essen ist lecker und es wurde mal Zeit, dass Pinsa auch in Weiden angeboten wird. Ich hatte Ravioli, die auch gut waren. Kleine konstruktive Kritik: zur Suppe und zum Hauptspeisensalat sollte man vielleicht ein bisschen Brot reichen. Außerdem finde ich die Außenbestuhlung unbequem (evtl Sitzkissen anschaffen?). Zum Ambiente innen kann ich nichts sagen. Essen aber wie gesagt gut und würde auch wieder kommen. :)

Sehr leckeres Essen. Tatsächlich ist eine Pinsa leichter verdaulich als eine Pizza. Der Biergarten ist wunderbar, und von der Schießanlage hört man höchstens mal ein "Plopp"; da stört nichts. Sehr empfehlenswert!
