An excellent restaurant with fresh, lovingly prepared dishes. Everything is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. Absolutely worth a visit!

The food was good, but expensive. There was no bill, and they wanted cash payment.

Two years after our last visit. Still the best garlic soup south of the Alps. The service is too perfect for a more attentive experience. The atmosphere is inviting, and the terrace is fantastic—you have to love it.

This is the third time we've eaten here during our vacation, and as always, it's delicious. They serve truly excellent Italian cuisine, from the starter plate to the main course, and everything is highly recommended. Our recommendation is the Tagliatelle Michelangelo 😋 Everything else is also highly recommended.

Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience: Based on a recommendation, we went to this restaurant and wanted to enjoy a couple of coffees there and possibly have something to eat later. We were immediately told that, despite numerous empty tables inside and outside, there was no room for us. The reason: two coffees would result in less revenue. We actually wanted to return later after our walk and perhaps have something to eat. If the food had been good, we would have made reservations for a party, but this behavior is incredibly disrespectful. Therefore, based on personal experience: I would not recommend this restaurant for this poor atmosphere. Unfortunately, I couldn't follow my parents' recommendation. Too snobbish.

The Ristorante Pane e Vino in Werder is well located, right at the entrance to Havel Island. Delicious food, but due to the poor service and the sometimes unprofessional treatment of guests, this restaurant cannot be recommended. Visit/Stay: Dinner during a short break in Werder an der Havel Location: Central and very good location, right at the entrance to Havel Island Staff: The staff were overly friendly, almost overly friendly, and at times not authentic. Tables are probably assigned based on face. Supposedly reserved tables were still free after two hours. After asking to pay, we were repeatedly ignored. The guests at the next table were given preferential treatment. Overall, poor service and unprofessional treatment of guests. Restaurant: Typical Italian cuisine; the dishes were delicious and well presented. Parking: Parking for cars and bicycles is available directly in front of the restaurant. Price/performance: Prices reasonable and in line with the quality of the food. Conclusion: 2 out of 5 Based on our experience, we will not be visiting this restaurant again; we cannot recommend it. We wish the team at Ristorante Pane e Vino all the best and much success, and hope that this review might at least serve as an incentive to improve the quality of service.

The food is delicious. The pizza is large and the crust is nice and crispy. At first, the staff was very attentive, and the food came out quickly. But then we sat for at least 30 minutes with empty glasses, even though the restaurant was emptying.

Very professional, very attentive, very fast, and very friendly service. The waitresses were very nice. The mixed starter arrived quickly and was very plentiful, with high-quality antipasti, seafood 🍤, and vitello tonnato. The baguette 🥖 was fresh and delicious. The pizzas 🍕 also arrived quickly and were delicious. The spaghetti carbonara (made according to an Italian recipe) was fantastic. Amazing 👍 Absolutely top-notch value for money! Highly recommended. We were on a bike ride along the Elbe River – and then we detoured to the Havel River especially for this restaurant! For me, it's the best Italian restaurant I know. And I don't mean in Werder, but anywhere. It can easily compete with many top restaurants in Berlin, Cologne, or Munich. Everything is just perfect. From the top-quality olive oil to the impeccable service to the food. Gracie!!!

One thing in advance: I was in the restaurant with the family on April 26, 2025. There was a big folk festival in the city. The restaurant was extremely busy. We had reserved. We received a very warm welcome and the service staff responded to us quickly. To put it mildly, “all hell was breaking loose” in the restaurant, and yet the staff and management were always smiling. Highly professional. Big compliments to the staff. I'll be brief about the dishes: antipasti, pasta scampi, medallions with cream sauce. Everything was 10 out of 10. Really, we eat out a lot, but the wait staff and kitchen staff offered such great service despite the really stressful situation. Wow. I'm rarely impressed when it comes to gastronomy. But you did it. Great.

This is the first Italian restaurant in Germany that doesn't serve wine by the glass, except for fancy Italian restaurants. Otherwise, it's okay. The chairs are uncomfortable, so you can't sit on them for long. And now, the prices—honestly, for such a small town, they're ridiculously expensive. We only picked up the pizza, but I didn't expect it to be this good. The crust was perfect, and the salami too! A really good pizza after the thermal baths. The guys were nice too!
