Sensational Italian cuisine in the heart of Dresden

Food and service were great! We were able to spontaneously get a table and our dog was allowed in too! Appetizer platter also highly recommended! We'll definitely come back!

We were looking for an authentic Italian restaurant around dresden and saw the raving reviews of this place. Although we made a last-minute booking and it was still pending confirmation, the waitor was quick on his feet to think and help us find an in-between slot/table. We enjoyed our pastas and ravioli. The Queen of the beef with pasta was really tender and delicious. Also enjoyed that each table had a help-yourself-to-a-variety-of-sauces set-up. P.s try the olive oil with garlic. The services from the servers were all great and helpful. They were polite and friendly!

We were immediately impressed by the menu. Since the restaurant was very full, we had to wait a bit - with an aperitif on the house. The first impression was exceeded in terms of food quality: Vitello Tonnato and Pasta Salmone were excellent. When we are back in Dresden we will definitely go there again. Mille Gracie

Worst and most incompetent service in a long time. You seem to be filtered based on your face and skillfully ignored.

Wonderful service, even better food. We didn't make a reservation and the waiter was very attentive to ask us to wait and get a seat. Very worth the visit.

Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant yesterday was a disappointment. The atmosphere was simple and seemed rather poor. The ambience doesn't match the prices on the menu at all. Perhaps the owner wanted to create a feeling of romantic Italian tradition, but the impression was more of a "poor wanderer" who saved money everywhere - especially on the toilet. The service also left a lot to be desired. Our food was served but they forgot to bring us cutlery. The cleanliness of the place was also questionable. The pasta may have been homemade, but the sauces tasted like pre-made products. The wine we ordered was of questionable quality. All in all: a waste of time and money.

Very nice and open-minded service! The meals were very tasty. With our group we were in a smaller room where there were other guests at other tables. Hopefully our fun didn't bother the other guests too much...

The food was absolutely delicious. Fortunately, the problem with the reservation was resolved personally and we were able to spend a very nice evening there with friends. We were all very happy with our delicious food (there was also a vegetarian among us). Highly recommended. If I come back to Dresden, I will certainly like to go to Mamma Mia 😊

The pasta is really delicious. There is a lot of pasta. It was nice that there was a kids menu, and there was a lot of pasta on the kids menu. The second floor was a little hot. There was a small lamp on the table, so it was really comfortable. So I was satisfied because the service was really fast. I intend to visit again.

A pasta restaurant with the feel of a modern local restaurant in Dresden. The quality of the raw noodles is comparable to that of the pasta I tasted in Florence and Rome, Italy. From 11:00 to 15:00, you can eat salad-like antipasti, pasta, beer or wine, and a glass of soft drink for 13 or 17 euros depending on the type of pasta. I highly recommend the truffle cream tagliatelle with nuts and basil.

Telephone reservation for Friday evening failed because no one answered the phone. When asked in person on site, the online reservation was abruptly referred to. Online request Friday evening 10.30 p.m., confirmation received on Saturday at 5.30 p.m. Unfortunately, the antipasti plate only contained sausage and cheese, and no trace of the other items on the menu. Vitello served too thick with sauce for my taste. For 2x starters, 1x pasta, 1 dessert and a few drinks we lost €100. I'm happy to pay, but there are still a few things missing here. Tables too narrow, too warm and overall very loud, but staff were super friendly and very attentive. My companion thought it was great, I don't need it again.

I stopped by spontaneously around 3:20 p.m. and was warmly welcomed. The homemade tomato soup was served on an Italian board. See photo. Plus the olive bread with a very good tasting olive oil. Price performance is fair. The tea is from Althaus! For dessert, pistachio cream tiramisu in a cup is a fantastic finale. The espresso makes the short trip to Italy 🇮🇹 complete. I would love to come back with my husband or friends. Of course only with reservation, because everything here is fully booked from 7 p.m. Thanks

Very good food, waiter is called via button on the table, which doesn't always work well. On the evening we were there there were two birthday parties there and Happy Birthday was played loudly twice, preventing any further conversation. Really annoying.

Was there on a school trip 2 years ago. Was there twice. To this day I'm still looking for a restaurant near me that offers such good pasta. You simply won't find this self-made taste near me. That was really great pasta.

First of all: The food is good and tasty. But there are a few things that made my first visit probably my last. - extreme marketing (online shop, supposed “deals”) - after making an online reservation I received 5(!) emails with different “offers”. - you are pressured into expensive additional options in the restaurant (e.g. extra Grana Padano +3€) - poor table planning (we were moved after we already had drinks) - inauthentic service, is obviously German and says “Buon Appetito” twice every time you visit the table, everyone has rehearsed that. - very high prices for the quality (paid over €60 for two people. Conclusion: The food is fresh and good, but the general conditions and the desperate marketing seem so superficial to me that I would rather eat Italian somewhere else. I feel like people are trying to take money out of my pocket here.

Only recommended. Great service and super delicious food. We'll be back.

A small click of the cube on the table causes a service to appear immediately after choosing the food or any other request (or paying). The starter plate was terrific, the “Feuerkuss” dish was so spicy, it was awesome! The truffle ravioli were also delicious ❤️. Food is very good, although not necessarily a bargain. When it comes to service, something is still missing from the 5th star, unfortunately we already had one or two waiting times. Ambiance is okay, but not 5 stars either.

It was our first time at Mamma Mia and we were very excited. The food and wine were very tasty, although it could have had a bit more kick but that is a matter of interpretation. Portions are large and very filling, but prices are slightly higher. The ambience itself was very nice and the service was on point and courteous. Unfortunately, the volume was negative (music was set very loud), conversations were difficult to hold.

We had dinner on a Friday evening. The store was very full, but we still managed to get a seat after a short wait. We were given a small drink to tide us over. The food was top notch, as were the drinks. The two of us were completely satisfied from start to finish. Keep it up!

Starting with an excellent carpaccio and antipasti “Tutto, per Tutti” followed by the best pasta of my life! Spaghetti Mare Nero out of this world! Ravioli Indulgenza al Tartufo also exceptional.

before any of our meals were served, we were given burnt bread. at first, we thought it was intentional for the bread to look like that, but when we saw the normal-looking bread served to other tables, it was clear that ours was burnt. for our starter, we had Bufala E Parma, which was good. the prices at this restaurant are on the higher end, and i felt that the food didn’t quite meet the value for the price. we ordered the Spaghetti Mare Nero and Pasta MammaMia. the spaghetti was thick and too heavy for my taste. it might also be too salty for some, though for me it was fine. as for the Pasta MammaMia, the beef was too tough to chew; if it were a steak, it would be considered well-done. the sauce was tomato-based but didn’t taste exceptional; it was just okay. very good service and nice ambience, though a bit packed.
