Ristorante "Mamma Mia" in Dresden

Rating: 3/5 stars Because of the very good reviews, we were excited about the food - especially the homemade pasta. In terms of taste, everything was okay, but unfortunately not exceptional or particularly refined. The dishes were solid, but the “wow” factor was missing. It is advertised at the table that whoever gets a great rating gets a little extra. Hence, in my opinion, the very high score on Google. The overall concept was smart, but it didn't grab us and we didn't feel like we were in Bella Italia.

Delicious traditional food, wonderfull atmosphere, utmost friendly and helpful staff ( thanx Wael ). We will come back tomorrow 😀 and then again all the time we will be in Dresden.

Wir haben den 70. Geburtstag in diesem wunderbaren italienischen Restaurant gefeiert und hätten es uns nicht schöner vorstellen können. Kellner Luca hat uns herzlich empfangen und rundum verwöhnt. Das Essen war hervorragend, der Service aufmerksam und freundlich – wir haben uns einfach rundum wohlgefühlt. Vielen Dank für einen unvergesslichen Abend!

Wir waren Ostersonntag Abend im Mamma Mia. Leider waren mehrere Gerichte schon aus. Die Lasagne und die Ravioli waren gut, aber nichts besonderes und dafür recht hochpreisig. Dieses Restaurant wird überbewertet.

Even though I can understand the rush due to the excessive rating, it is difficult to agree with the taste of the food. It would be difficult to make seafood pasta this smooth. Although it is raw noodles, it has the tasteless texture of noodle soup.

It was a wonderful meal with a great birthday surprise.

Oh my gosh! The food was amazing! We ordered Burrata, Ravioli and tomato soup! Btw; their tomato soup is the best I have ever tasted! The staff was welcoming and immediately attends to you if you need anything! Please make sure you reserve a table, the place easily gets packed!

We made a reservation based on the positive reviews. The menu reads more exciting than other Italian restaurants. The result didn't completely convince us. The price-performance ratio wasn't quite right. We would try a different Italian restaurant next time. There were five adults in the party.

Cozy atmosphere, very warmly prepared plates (pans). Very tasty food, taste explosion of flavors. The service was attentive and sometimes the food was served at the table. It was a lovely dining experience. We were very satisfied and would happily recommend it to others.

We were there with great expectations and with the advertising slogan "Best Italian with its own pasta production" and were unfortunately disappointed. We sat on the upper gallery. It was extremely stuffy there. There was no typical Italian beer on the menu. It wasn't available. We only got bread on the table when we asked. Unfortunately the olive oil was not of high quality. The salt on the table was empty. The drinks came very late and we saw our food being held back and then the drinks being served. So the food was lukewarm. At the table the truffle was rubbed sparingly over the dish. The noodles were sticky and had no special taste. The pep and the loving presentation of the dishes were missing. The table lamp system was very successful. This meant you could draw attention to yourself with a visual light signal. There were displays spread out on the tables on which the wish was expressed that people rate the location on Google and show it to the waiter and then receive a gift in return. Perhaps this is why many recessions are narrow and disproportionately positive... The waitress had a nice uniform outfit and was friendly but visibly stressed. When we left the restaurant we realized how extremely stuffy the air there was.

Delicious homemade pasta, great menu and it's hard to decide!

An excellent restaurant! The service is very friendly and doesn't take long to arrive. Despite the restaurant being full, the food was ready quickly. The food itself was excellent. Very tasty, well prepared, fresh - everything you want! Thank you very much, only recommended.

Except for a few very salty dishes, everything was great.

We found out about good restaurants in advance for a city trip to Dresden. We came across Mamma Mia. We reserved online a week in advance. The Mamma Mia is located on a side street, easy to reach on foot. It makes a great impression and the concept is very coherent. The waitress is dressed in typical Italian style and greets you in Italian. So far so good. The dishes are delicious and authentic. However, the price-performance ratio is a bit questionable as the prices are relatively high. Unfortunately, the service left something to be desired, which somewhat spoils the overall impression. A bottle of cola was accidentally spilled across the table and some of it ended up in the food. The waiter didn't even apologize and disappeared without saying a word. Another waitress noticed this and got a rag and another Coke. No words of apology. We then cleaned the table ourselves. The dirty rag was simply left on the table. After we pointed it out to the waitress after minutes, it was removed. When we paid we still left a large tip, but no words of thanks here. It doesn't work that way. Tipping shouldn't be a given these days! Nevertheless, I would probably visit the restaurant again because of the good food, but with certain expectations of the service.

Excellent! Rarely have I had such good salmon noodles. Went there with the family and everyone really enjoyed it. Prices are worth it.

We're just blown away. The best noodles I have ever eaten. Everything is incredibly delicious. Well prepared and served. Large portions. Super nice service. 100% recommend. 😋😍🥰

A fine dining experience. The giant tortelloni were awesome. The Bolognese a poem. Junior (11) had spaghetti Bolognese and he ate it all. He was thrilled. Then to see how the giant tortelloni are prepared, just great. Thank you for the very, very tasty food and the friendly service.

It was a fantastic experience, first watching people make pasta and then having a delicious meal.

We were there on a Tuesday lunchtime because we couldn't get a table on Monday evening without a reservation. At lunchtime the menu seems to be more limited, at least we didn't get a pizza menu. We had a tomato soup that was very tasty and well prepared. We also had lunch twice. Pasta with drink and mini salad for €12. The pasta is freshly homemade. We had pasta with walnuts, pecorino, pepper and cream sauce (very salty) and green tagliatelle with ham cream sauce. Delicious. We would go again.

My husband and I spontaneously ate at Mamma Mia this evening. Got a table straight away. The food is of really good quality and tastes very good. You can get good Italian pasta here. We also really enjoyed the appetizer platter. There is a good selection of delicious delicacies here. If we have the pleasure of traveling to DD again, we would love to come here to eat.

We wanted to make a table reservation by phone for this evening. However, this was not possible and we were directed to make an online reservation, which we promptly made. The desired time was still available and we were told by email to wait for the reply email. We waited and waited......when the desired time had already passed and we still hadn't heard anything, we of course made other arrangements. It's a shame (or not). We wanted to rent the entire restaurant for a large company event and test the food and of course the service today. Due to the current circumstances, we will or have of course decided otherwise.

The store is completely overrated.

A restaurant with incredibly good Italian cuisine. Delicious, homemade pasta. Perfect flavor balance. Not a very extensive menu, which is a big plus. The portion is large. You leave with a really full stomach. It was very nice to receive an appetizer - fresh, still warm bread with olive oil. It is worth booking a table in advance, as the restaurant is very busy. It's easy to do this via the restaurant's website. The service is always on the move and very polite. If there were 6 stars I would give them.

The friendly and non-intrusive Saleria in particular served our small group of 6 people very well.

huge disappointment. pasta 30 euros, this is a huge amount of the pasta itself in your frying pan with mediocre tomato sauce and a couple of pieces of beef that is impossible to live on. ravioli with truffle and a couple of pieces of salmon were undercooked and stuck together. we waited for quite a while and were so hungry that we did not want to wait again. silently ate what was possible to live on, paid the bill and left. you know, it seems to me that service and service in restaurants every year forgets that waiters do not work just to write down your order, bring food, then take away the dishes, condescendingly look up at you and calculate, hinting that you should also leave a tip. service is people who introduce you to the cuisine of this restaurant, it is about the concept and history of the restaurant, it is about communication. We heard how some people nearby were also not particularly happy with the taste. What a shame

While walking around the streets of Dresden, we decided to eat a small snack in this place, and we chose beef carpaccio. The meat was first class, along with good ripening cheese and arugula, we immediately liked it.

Best pasta I've eaten outside of Italy

The restaurant is nicely decorated and the food is high quality and very good. That speaks for the restaurant. Unfortunately, during our visit there were very long waiting times between the starter and the main course (approx. 70 minutes), the staff was visibly overwhelmed and the dishes were not served as they should have been (a wheel of cheese was ordered, sauce was delivered in a pot). Overall, the evening was quite disappointing for this price/performance ratio.

We were already guests at Mamma Mia on our previous visit to Dresden. The concept and the selection of dishes are very good. Perhaps one or two classic Italian pasta dishes could be added for more conservative guests. We were able to take our dog with us, which was very pleasant. The prices are okay for the homemade pasta. You could watch a lady making the pasta. This created an authentic atmosphere. One negative point is that there were unfortunately a lot of bones in the green pasta with salmon. Of course, salmon is a natural product, but for a more upscale atmosphere there should be no bones in the fish. That was actually very disturbing. We also asked for parmesan cheese with this dish. The waiter who was at the table at the time was very surprised. He said he would never recommend this with the dish - it is of course understandable that the waiter would make a recommendation. However, he said it quite unkindly and ultimately didn't fulfill our wish. After a recommendation, the customer's wishes should be responded to in a friendly manner. Another younger gentleman who otherwise served at the table was very friendly and accommodating. Overall, we would visit the restaurant again and hope that the small points of criticism will improve.

The food was good, but unfortunately lacked seasoning. The service was very attentive. Otherwise, unfortunately, there was a feeling of "mass processing." The couple at the next table treated themselves to the romantic dinner, but unfortunately, it was anything but romantic. Overall, it was a good average.

The best homemade pasta I've ever eaten! Great atmosphere!

Mamma Mia is really a recommendation for everyone who sees Italian cuisine as more than just pizza. The staff, atmosphere and food were to our complete satisfaction! We were very happy to have discovered this pasta restaurant. The location is very central and therefore it is very busy here, so reservations are recommended. With a little luck, you'll only have a short waiting time if you drop by spontaneously.

Unfortunately, this dish has nothing to do with lasagna. I would not recommend this restaurant under any circumstances. It's overpriced and the food is very bad. The lasagna tastes like pasta with tomato sauce. I occasionally found a smattering of meat, but there was unfortunately no trace of béchamel sauce, carrots, or other vegetable sauces that would be appropriate for a ragù. The wait times were also very long. Please find another Italian restaurant that actually deserves the name.

The restaurant has flair and a great atmosphere. The service is friendly, warm-hearted and accommodating. The food tastes first-class and the wine and homemade limoncello are highly recommended. This restaurant greatly enriched my visit to Dresden. I'll be back. Thanks.

The food was very good. I treated myself to the Wednesday menu partner menu with a friend. Some of the spice was missing. We weren't served any bread for the starter. The service was very bad. We sat for 2.5 hours. We were served at the table next to us and we were ignored, and the birthday guests were also given priority. Food delicious but service leaves a lot to be desired.

Great restaurant with super delicious food

Cozy restaurant, we had dinner upstairs, the menu includes appetizers and first courses. We ate veal carpaccio and veal with tuna sauce accompanied by a very good bread with olives, pappardelle with truffles and pappardelle with strips of meat. Everything was super good. The girl who served us was very good, friendly and spoke Italian. The owner is Neapolitan and the waiters are Sicilian and Neapolitan, so it feels like being in Italy.

The food was way too salty. Sad, because otherwise it would have been good!
