If we don't feel like making ourselves something to eat in the evening, we just look at each other and then we're told to make a reservation at La Stella!!!!😉The entire staff, including the manager, really make an effort to make you feel comfortable and are always happy to have a friendly remark. But one thing you should know: pre-booking is recommended. It's always hectic there 😉but it's also a good sign that you've come to the right place. We're already looking forward to next time.

There were seven of us at La Stelle and we were overall very satisfied. We were served fresh bread, butter, and vegetables beforehand, all very tasty and well prepared. The starters and main courses (meat, fish, pasta) arrived promptly, were flavorful, and generously portioned. The menu is varied but not overwhelming. The service was friendly, attentive, and professional. One positive aspect: the bill was even slightly rounded down for convenience. A pleasant, authentic Italian restaurant serving delicious Italian food.

What can I say? It was perfect. From the ambiance to the service to the food. Absolutely first-class. We dined there with a large group on a Saturday, even though the restaurant was fully booked. Both the service and the food were very good. No one had to wait long for their order, whether it was for drinks, special requests, or anything else. Almost everything tasted great. I had veal liver with rosemary potatoes and vegetables; all the ingredients were excellent, but the liver was very tough in some places. My advice to the chef: take your time and remove the tendons more carefully. The same goes for the side salad. A flavorless Dutch vine tomato, small, 0/8/15 olives from a jar, and cucumbers that were sliced ​​as thick as a finger. You should improve that a bit, then you'll also get a fifth one. ⭐

Basically good, but what else can I describe in detail here!? I have described my personal impressions by December 2024. But Google's algorithm doesn't like that anymore. Even with positive reviews of 4 and 5 stars, it accuses me of saying that my perceptions violate the guidelines and are viewed and prosecuted as slander. For example, the description of a supermarket already comes up: "A wide range of products is offered, the parking lot is quite cramped, the shelves are tightly packed, and at peak times the queues at the checkouts get very long." according to the algorithm into the “defamation” category. And then Google doesn't explain to me exactly what my violations are, especially since such personal assessments haven't been a problem for years. So what else can I write here if Google keeps turning off reviews so vaguely and not answering questions?! How can I do justice to the location, the service provider, the offer or the product. Since there aren't many good Italian restaurants nearby, I can understand the good reviews. But there is still room for improvement here. I rate the dishes as average. My standards are quite high when it comes to Italian cuisine, as I'm a regular in IT and even the simplest restaurants beat the Germans by a world 😉

Very bad service. Had dinner there yesterday. After taking our order, we were given a small appetizer at the restaurant's expense. After less than 5 minutes the service came and cleared away the plates and the knife, even though we were still eating the antipasti. Were there for the first time!! The food was okay, the pizza was even great, but the service was a disaster. We waited over an hour for the food, which is still okay when it's full. But not being served in that time to get drinks is bad service, despite us asking!!!! It was said straight away and 20 minutes later we had to ask again 🤔 so that who would come. It's bad for the customers and, above all, bad for the business, unless of course I don't want to sell drinks to anyone.

Great Italian in Duisburg Buchholz. Very easy to reach by public transport or car. The restaurant has its own parking spaces and there is a park and ride parking lot directly opposite. The menu is typically Italian and consists of great pasta dishes, pizza, as well as fish and meat dishes. In addition, there are always daily specials with pasta made from parmesan cheese, which we highly recommend (see photo). All dishes taste very good, are well seasoned and come to the table hot and freshly prepared. Prices are absolutely reasonable considering the good ingredients. La Stella exudes cozy Italian charm. It's particularly good to sit at the back of the restaurant. The service is on point and very friendly. There was some bread with butter and antipasti on the house beforehand and at the end we were offered an Italian liqueur. Card payment only works with EC cards. We have been there three times now and would love to come back.

Last night, on the occasion of a friend of ours' birthday, we had dinner there and we were able to enjoy delicious fish dishes and excellent desserts. Everything was accompanied by the courtesy, helpfulness and kindness of the owner and his staff. Thanks again for the welcome and for making us feel at ease.

This was actually our favorite restaurant so far, but there seem to be serious changes, especially in the kitchen. In January 2025 we ate here twice and twice there was no sage available for the common dish Saltimbocca a la Romana. The first time the dish was served with basil and the second time with rosemary and thyme, although I specifically pointed this out. The service should know that sage is not available and remove the dish from the menu or inform the guest that the alternative with rosemary and thyme is available. In addition, the meat was dry, lukewarm and definitely not freshly prepared. The other dishes also didn't have the quality we know. Unfortunately not what we are used to from the restaurant. Very unfortunate. 4 years ago: Very tasty food, good portions. Price/performance very good. Very attentive staff. The Risotto Frutti di Mare, on the special menu today, is highly recommended. Add a good white wine and the evening is perfect. We sat in the newly designed outdoor area at the back

Die Speisekarte ist auch nicht mehr so abwechslungsreich wie früher. Es gibt fast immer nur das gleiche. Aber die Preise wurden drastisch erhöht. Mal sehen wo die Reise noch hingeht. Schaun mer mal. Das Personal ist aber immer noch sehr aufmerksam und höflich, deshalb gehen wir trotzdem noch gerne hin.

The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. All in all, I feel comfortable and always in good hands at La Stella. highly recommended. Uwe upgrade: it is still just as tasty and there is still the friendly service from everyone as described about 1/2 year ago. A table for 5 people was reserved, a table right next to the toilets, the door to the toilet was permanently open with a wedge, there was a nuisance smell, we declined. We got a table for four and then had to squeeze the three of us on the long side. The fifth person wasn't even set up again! Only after several questions did we finally get the 5th place setting! After a very long wait for 5 people. a plate with a mini ball of herb butter, the bread sliced ​​so thin that the cook actually eats all of it. Fingers must have been injured! Curiously enough, the table next door served 4 people. 2 plates with herb butter! After about 1.5 hours the main course finally arrived. And last but not least, Marsala or Grappa? The alternative request for an espresso for the driver was initially rejected and only after we complained about this poor service did he come. The fact that nothing is even offered for children when paying is also a tragedy! I thought Italians were more child-friendly! It's a shame, the Stella is unfortunately no longer what it used to be!

Wir hatten als Gruppe leider an einem Samstagabend etwas Pech: sehr voll und der Service im Stress. Aber dennoch war das Essen excellent, gute unaufdringliche Weinberatung, sogar Tee wurde aus der Küche gezaubert. Die Pizzen sind riesig und lecker, allerdings ist Calzone oder Capricciosa hier etwas anders als üblich! Besonders empfehlenswert sind Gnocchi mit Trüffel und das Risotto. Wir waren so satt, dass keine Nachspeise mehr reinging. Unser Tipp: nbedingt reservieren udn lieber an einem Tag in der Woche kommen.

Service and friendliness are out of place here. Reservations will be ignored and people with walking difficulties will be left standing. I made the reservation on site and stated when making the reservation that we wanted to celebrate a birthday and that we would have a person with walking difficulties with us. A table was also reserved outside. We arrived on time. Only when we asked did we receive the answer that there was no table available and it would take 2 minutes. After 10 minutes I was asked again. Again the same, this time unfriendly answer. We were allowed to spend the waiting time outside on the restaurant stairs while the waiters walked past us. We had to organize a chair ourselves for my father, who has walking difficulties. At 7:15 p.m. I asked again and was told it wasn't that bad, the few minutes of waiting. A la “We shouldn’t behave like that”. Ultimately we were offered a table inside, but in a tone that we preferred to leave. According to the reviews, this is not an isolated case. We definitely won't come back.
