Ristorante La Stella in Duisburg

Great Italian in Duisburg Buchholz. Very easy to reach by public transport or car. The restaurant has its own parking spaces and there is a park and ride parking lot directly opposite. The menu is typically Italian and consists of great pasta dishes, pizza, as well as fish and meat dishes. In addition, there are always daily specials with pasta made from parmesan cheese, which we highly recommend (see photo). All dishes taste very good, are well seasoned and come to the table hot and freshly prepared. Prices are absolutely reasonable considering the good ingredients. La Stella exudes cozy Italian charm. It's particularly good to sit at the back of the restaurant. The service is on point and very friendly. There was some bread with butter and antipasti on the house beforehand and at the end we were offered an Italian liqueur. Card payment only works with EC cards. We have been there three times now and would love to come back.

Last night, on the occasion of a friend of ours' birthday, we had dinner there and we were able to enjoy delicious fish dishes and excellent desserts. Everything was accompanied by the courtesy, helpfulness and kindness of the owner and his staff. Thanks again for the welcome and for making us feel at ease.

This was actually our favorite restaurant so far, but there seem to be serious changes, especially in the kitchen. In January 2025 we ate here twice and twice there was no sage available for the common dish Saltimbocca a la Romana. The first time the dish was served with basil and the second time with rosemary and thyme, although I specifically pointed this out. The service should know that sage is not available and remove the dish from the menu or inform the guest that the alternative with rosemary and thyme is available. In addition, the meat was dry, lukewarm and definitely not freshly prepared. The other dishes also didn't have the quality we know. Unfortunately not what we are used to from the restaurant. Very unfortunate. 4 years ago: Very tasty food, good portions. Price/performance very good. Very attentive staff. The Risotto Frutti di Mare, on the special menu today, is highly recommended. Add a good white wine and the evening is perfect. We sat in the newly designed outdoor area at the back

Stylish, tasteful and absolutely authentic! The price-performance ratio is on point – there is nothing to complain about here. I wish more restaurants would follow this example and implement it in the same way.

In den Anfangsjahren sah das Lokal noch einigermaßen gepflegt aus. Leider trifft das heute nicht mehr zu. Es sieht von außen schon ziemlich verwahrlost aus. Die Speisekarte ist auch nicht mehr so abwechslungsreich wie früher. Es gibt fast immer nur das gleiche. Aber die Preise wurden drastisch erhöht. Mal sehen wo die Reise noch hingeht. Schaun mer mal. Das Personal ist aber immer noch sehr aufmerksam und höflich, deshalb gehen wir trotzdem noch gerne hin.

I've been eating there 2-3 times every month for a long time and have never been disappointed. The food is always freshly prepared and tastes excellent. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. All in all, I feel comfortable and always in good hands at La Stella. highly recommended. Uwe upgrade: it is still just as tasty and there is still the friendly service from everyone as described about 1/2 year ago. I will continue to indulge in the food there this year (almost once every week now). Uwe Allen a happy new year 2025

A table for 5 people was reserved, a table right next to the toilets, the door to the toilet was permanently open with a wedge, there was a nuisance smell, we declined. We got a table for four and then had to squeeze the three of us on the long side. The fifth person wasn't even set up again! Only after several questions did we finally get the 5th place setting! After a very long wait for 5 people. a plate with a mini ball of herb butter, the bread sliced ​​so thin that the cook actually eats all of it. Fingers must have been injured! Curiously enough, the table next door served 4 people. 2 plates with herb butter! After about 1.5 hours the main course finally arrived. And last but not least, Marsala or Grappa? The alternative request for an espresso for the driver was initially rejected and only after we complained about this poor service did he come. The fact that nothing is even offered for children when paying is also a tragedy! I thought Italians were more child-friendly! It's a shame, the Stella is unfortunately no longer what it used to be!

Were there for the first time and we thought it was delicious. My tip: Be sure to try Marsala, it's better if you come without a car ;-)

Wir hatten als Gruppe leider an einem Samstagabend etwas Pech: sehr voll und der Service im Stress. Aber dennoch war das Essen excellent, gute unaufdringliche Weinberatung, sogar Tee wurde aus der Küche gezaubert. Die Pizzen sind riesig und lecker, allerdings ist Calzone oder Capricciosa hier etwas anders als üblich! Besonders empfehlenswert sind Gnocchi mit Trüffel und das Risotto. Wir waren so satt, dass keine Nachspeise mehr reinging. Unser Tipp: nbedingt reservieren udn lieber an einem Tag in der Woche kommen.

Food was quite good. We were not informed about the wine prices. A little surprised, we were recommended the brand new, great wine. Taste was good. Without receiving any further details we took a bottle...it cost €38. That SHOULD have been said. Too bad. We won't come back.

The food is good and plentiful, we were satisfied with the service, and the prices are reasonable. Only the Aperol Spritz was a bit flimsy for the price (and that was from an Italian restaurant). The ambience/decor is a bit dated. But overall recommended.

I've always eaten well in the restaurant, but if you sit in the back room and the heating isn't on, it becomes very uncomfortable and the boss ignores that, so I won't be entering this restaurant again. My birthday party is now taking place in a different house. It's a shame that it turned out this way, but I want my guests to feel comfortable and not freeze.

I've eaten here a few times and can fully recommend this restaurant. All dishes, but especially the mixed starters/antipasti platter, are fresh and of very high quality. The portions are reasonable and even the most hungry can be satisfied here. Despite the portion size and the high quality of the food, the prices are very fair. In short: the price-performance ratio is great. Also worth noting is the friendly and quick service, which on the one hand takes time for each guest but on the other hand also manages to take orders attentively and quickly and bring the food. This means there are no long waiting times. I look forward to eating there many more times.

Service and friendliness are out of place here. Reservations will be ignored and people with walking difficulties will be left standing. I made the reservation on site and stated when making the reservation that we wanted to celebrate a birthday and that we would have a person with walking difficulties with us. A table was also reserved outside. We arrived on time. Only when we asked did we receive the answer that there was no table available and it would take 2 minutes. After 10 minutes I was asked again. Again the same, this time unfriendly answer. We were allowed to spend the waiting time outside on the restaurant stairs while the waiters walked past us. We had to organize a chair ourselves for my father, who has walking difficulties. At 7:15 p.m. I asked again and was told it wasn't that bad, the few minutes of waiting. A la “We shouldn’t behave like that”. Ultimately we were offered a table inside, but in a tone that we preferred to leave. According to the reviews, this is not an isolated case. We definitely won't come back.

Despite having a reservation, we had to wait for our table at the bar table. There was no apology, let alone a few drinks served as a small recompense. But what I thought was “best” was that four waiters walked past us 15 times and no one had the idea to at least offer my father-in-law, who has walking difficulties, a chair. When you ask when you can expect your reserved table, you are then contacted: "Don't act like that, it's only 20 minutes etc..." To top it all off, whenever we got it, the table would still have been inside. The reservation was for outside. As I said, "Don't act like that!" Unbelievable, there is a lack of manners here and probably also a lack of education.

Sehr lecker Nudeln (Trüffelnudeln aus einem Parmesanleib und Hummerravioli) und eine Vorspeisen-Platte gegessen. Die Bedienung war auch sehr zuvorkommend undfreundlich.

The portion size is also reasonable, the dessert is definitely recommended and a must when visiting the restaurant. The service is very courteous and friendly! There's really nothing to complain about, we'd be happy to come back at any time. If you want to be on the safe side, you should reserve a spot, as it is busy even during the week. Update 4 years later: La Stella is and remains the Italian restaurant I trust! Great service, friendly staff and great food at top prices. An enrichment for the south of Duisburg! 👌🏻

If you like to wait for your food and want to be insulted by the waiter when you ask what's going on with your food, you're in good hands here. The dishes aren't that bad, but they're nothing special either. The ambience, we sat outside, it felt like you were in a parking lot. When you look at it all together it's a "better" chip shop. Only the prices here are the finest, so you can expect more.

Dieses Ristorante besticht nicht durch das inzwischen leicht 'runtergekommene ,z. T.marode Ambiente,ziemlich konfuse Innendeko und Verwahrlosung Beete/Blumenkästen sondern durch die guten Pastagerichte u. Antipasti. Wenn man allerdings Rindefilet bestellt kann auch schon mal ein durchwachsenes Nackenstück in der Soße liegen. Starker Anfang vor Jahren,nun etwas auf dem absteigenden Ast. ,hoffentlich bald wieder besser innen wie außen.

We had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant for a communion party and I have to say we were impressed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with an elegant yet cozy feel. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was very tasty and I can only recommend it! The food quality was excellent. Every dish we ordered was freshly prepared and full of flavor. The selection of food was varied and there was something to suit every taste. Therefore I can only recommend it. 🤩

Nice pizzeria with great pasta. The main problem is the absolutely poor service. The food takes 1.5-2 hours to arrive. I also ordered a pizza to take away which arrived completely cold after an hour. We just threw it away at home.

Based on the ambience and the really nice service, I would say that it is a really nice Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, I have eaten a very neutral tasting meal twice now, where the whole Italian flair and the fireworks of taste that Italian cuisine offers were completely missing. We'll definitely come back again and then I'll ask the chef what he likes most about being with his mother ;-)

Unfortunately, we couldn't try the food even though we wanted to eat here based on a recommendation, but despite making a reservation we didn't get a table after waiting half an hour and were then treated as if it had been our fault. Very impolite.

Das Essen hat uns rundherum gut geschmeckt. Ambiente ist toll. Leider bekamen war nach dem Hauptgericht keine Getränke mehr, es wurde nicht gefragt und als wir einen Kellner Ansprachen und eine Bestellung aufgaben, kam es zwar auf die Rechnung jedoch nie zum Tisch. Es gibt vorab ein Amuse-Bouche, allerdings waren wir mit mehreren Personen und haben auch nur einen Teller bekommen, wie jeder 2er Tisch auch, da wir uns nicht um die 6 Oliven und 3 getrockneten Tomaten prügeln wollten, ging der Teller unberührt zurück. Für das Einpacken der Reste wurde uns nichts berechnet! Resümee: wir gehen wieder hin, da Essen gut, leider passt aber der Service nicht zu dem gehobenen Ambiente!

Delicious Pizza Capricciosa🍕😋, cozy restaurant, nice conditions

We visited Ristorante La Stella on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was busy for a weekday, including several groups. The food was delicious, we tried both the pizza and the ravioli with salmon, gambas and vegetables. The only remark I have is that it was not possible to pay with maestro or visa... apparently, we needed a German bank card, which, of course, we didn't have...

Leider gibt es zwischen der Bewertungsskala befriedigend und sehr gut kein gut, also geht die Tendenz eher zu befriedigend. Sehr netter & flinker Service. Der Gruß vom Haus, eine kleine Antipasti Kostprobe und eine Margarinekugel, welche wir persönlich nicht so lecker fanden. Der Vorspeisenteller war klasse, ein gemischtes Potpourri, frisch & lecker. Die Pizza fanden wir sehr gut belegt , groß genug zum satt werden, allerdings hat uns der Teig nicht so gut geschmeckt, aber da gehen ja bekanntlich auch die Geschmäcker auseinander. Der Wein war sehr gut, da hatten wir uns den Primitivo empfehlen lassen und nicht in die Karte geschaut, 9,50 pro Glas , das ist natürlich ein stolzer Preis und fanden wir doch zu überteuert. Da wir die Pizza nicht ganz geschafft haben, baten wir um Mitnahme des Restes. Da wurde dann noch 1,40 für den Pizzakarton berechnet. Sehr befremdlich, haben wir noch nie erlebt. Also, als Tipp, bisschen Alufolie oder Tupperdose mitnehmen ;), man ist ja seinem Geld nicht böse. Das ergab dann doch einen bitteren Beigeschmack, die eigentlich guten Preis/Leistungs Preise der Speisen mit überteuerten Getränkepreisen und Pizzakartons wieder wett zu machen . Schade

Tolles Restaurant. Es stimmt fast alles. Freundliches Personal, super Essen. Das Mahl könnte etwas üppiger ausfallen denn ich wurde nicht satt. Offensichtlich wird auch an den Heizkosten gespart. In den hinteren Räumlickeiten war unangenehm kühl. Leider werden Hunde 🐕 hineingelassen. Zu unserem Erscheinen fand sich auch jemand mit einem Hund ein. Das Tier hatte dauerhaft Blähungen. Der üble Geruch zog ständig zu uns hinüber und verdarb uns den Appetit. Wir ließen daher die Hälfte der leckeren Speisen stehen. Hunde gehören nicht in solch ein tolles Ambiente.

Essen absolut lecker gewesen und die Kellner auch aufmerksam. Es ist leider sehr voll gewesen, so das unser Tischplattz nicht so gut ausgefallen ist. Aber ich werde auf jeden Fall noch einmal reinschauen.

Das Essen und der Service ist immer super! Besser reservieren, da es manchmal sehr voll ist. Große Auswahlmöglichkeiten an leckeren Gerichten. Kleiner Parkplatz hinter dem Restaurant vorhanden, aber sonst kann an der Straße geparkt werden.

Reservierter Tisch war vorhanden Leider nicht vorne im Lokal sondern hinten Geräuschkulisse sehr stark Bestellte Gerichte nicht korrekt u Auswahlmöglichkeiten knapp Bestellte Nudeln fürs Kleinkind nicht bekommen trotz Nachfrage usw usw Nicht empfehlenswert

Super gemütliches italienisches Restaurant, sehr familiär, top Service und richtig gutes Essen zu angemessenen Preisen und ordentliche Größe der Portion. Antipastiteller mit toller Auswahl. Nudeln mit Käse direkt im Käserad zubereitet, das sieht man selten. Tiramisu, Zabaione, Pannacotta und Creme Brulee alles super lecker und selbstgemacht. Unser Hund durfte auch mit und hat sogar ein getreidefreies Snacki bekommen. Da gehen wir sehr gerne wieder hin!

Leider schmeckt das Essen überhaupt nicht mehr so gut wie es zu den Anfangszeiten von La Stella war. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt damit auch nicht mehr. Da ich dieses Restaurant jedoch sehr hübsch finde gehe ich hin und wieder hin und bin jedesmal vom Essen enttäuscht, egal ob Pizza, Pasta, Fisch oder Risotto. Ich bin überrascht das es noch so gut besucht wird. Ich kann es nicht mehr empfehlen und werde dort in Zukunft nicht mehr speisen.

Trotz Reservierung halbe Stunde auf unseren Tisch gewartet. Kein Getränk aufs Haus angeboten bekommen. Kellner war nicht in der Lage die Tageskarte an den Tisch zu bringen und hat das auch unfreundlich und fast unverschämt kommuniziert. Essen war gut. Immerhin. Hatten schon bessere Abende dort.

War mit meinen Arbeitskolleginen das erste und letzte mal dort Essen. Geschmacklich hat es uns allen ( 4 Personen) überhaupt nicht geschmeckt, obwohl jeder ein anderes Gericht hatte. Vom Service brauche ich garnicht erst anzufangen, so einen unfreundlichen Kellner hatten wir noch nie. Hat sich dann selbst am Ende Trinkgeld genommen, weil er nicht wechseln konnte, sowas geht garnicht.

Mein lieblings Restaurant! Wohlfühlfaktor, nette Bedienungen, super tolles Essen! Ja, es ist je nach Wochentag sehr voll, aber das ist doch ein gutes Zeichen! Egal ob zu zweit oder mit der Familie, es war und ist immer sehr schön. Ich kann nur empfehlen vorher zu reservieren, ist deutlich entspannter für beide Seiten.

Wer ein gutes Restaurant sucht, sollte unbedingt La Stella besuchen. Eine klare 1A-Bewertung! Zudem ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hier absolut TOP.
