Our favorite Italian - for years. The taste, quality and service are perfect here. But we also really like the Italian lifestyle here.

I ate one of the best Milanese ossobuco in my life (and I live in Milan) The staff is very friendly, excellent service. Highly recommended for those who want to rediscover good Italian food in Germany.

Delicious food at a fair price, there is also a good selection of vegetarian dishes.

Nice staff, attentive and the dishes are well made. Surprisingly good pizza for a restaurant in Bergisch Gladbach. Only downside: The free breadrolls for the appetizer wete terrible. Chewy, bland, sticky moist dough from the inside. But all other dishes were good!

It's unbelievable that this cozy restaurant is also perfect when it comes to party service. Even at our large event with over 100 guests, everything went perfectly - thanks to the excellent quality of the food and technical equipment. Many thanks to Ristorante Italia

The food tastes good. Service arrogant. I have no idea when you'll become a regular customer and be greeted with a smile. But there are differences here. We were there a few times. The waiters were always curt and made you feel unwelcome and even annoying. That's why I like to stay away from Italia.

The restaurant is recommended! The ambience, service and food are simply great! If you are looking for traditional dishes, but also culinary innovations, you will find what you are looking for here! I'll definitely come back here! P.S. The white wine is a MUST! (Don Bruno!)

Went there for lunch with my wife today, August 14th, despite the power outage. Pepper shaker wheat glass dingy. Window sills unclean! Cutlery and spoons were brought by hand and therefore not hygienic. Not even the path to the toilets had emergency lighting and was therefore unusable. Very unprofessional.

Been there for the first (and last) time. Food very tasty, seating comfortable, service blasé and unfriendly. It's a shame, we had hoped for more.

I have never been greeted so unfriendly in a restaurant before. I couldn't bring myself to eat something there and left again. Nobody can do anything about the construction site in front of the door, but we can work on the friendliness of the employees. Very unfortunate 😕

Very cozy restaurant with very tasty food at fair prices. The service seemed a bit lackluster. If you want to sit outside when the weather is nice, you should make a reservation in advance.

As a single person, we could only have sat inside at 30 degrees, even though there were several free tables for two outside. It's a shame, I probably won't go there again. Whatever, it's not that good!

Really nice atmosphere with very nice service and a wide selection of specialties. The salads are highly recommended; if you are very hungry you can also have a meat dish, as they are really huge. We also recommend the always new daily menu, which also impresses with a lot of selection. The taste is really A+, everyone will be full here. Always my pleasure!!

We ordered a pizza and three pasta dishes. The pizza dough was half raw and therefore soft. Unfortunately not edible. There was also a lot of cheese on it. The pasta dishes were full of cream. We like to eat Italian, unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the food here. The service was friendly. Overall ok…

It was a grind and nothing more. The lasagna was swimming in oil, the pizza was just salty and the waitress needed 3 attempts to get all 5 people drinks. People who have no idea about food give positive reviews here. I didn't like it like I said.

We had dinner here last night. The waitresses were friendly and really on the ball. Drinks and food were brought really quickly. The food was a dream, incredibly delicious! We'd love to come back. The only drawback is the construction site in Bensberg, if you sit outside it's not that nice, but no one can do anything about it and if it really bothers you, I recommend finding a place inside.

My first and unfortunately also last visit. The food was okay - neither particularly outstanding nor bad, absolutely average. Unfortunately the service was subpar. Already at the entrance I was harshly approached by one of the waitresses who asked me about my reservation, to which I replied that the other waitress at the counter was already taking care of me. No, she would do that now - in a completely inappropriate tone. We were able to place our order quite quickly, but then there was no service staff in sight. Only when the plates were cleared was there an opportunity to order something more; There were no questions from the service as to whether there was anything else that could be done the whole evening. The bill was simply placed on the table and the person in charge disappeared straight away without charging us. After several minutes we asked if someone with a wallet could come and collect money for us. Were we expected to just put any amount of money on the table and leave? I didn't feel welcome throughout the entire evening. At least there was bread before the meal and we were offered a schnapps by the person who finally cashed in on us. But that doesn't even begin to solve it. The ambience is a bit old, but okay. Unfortunately for me there is no alternative to other Italian restaurants in the area.

The truffle bacon pizza and the lovely white wine are very! to recommend! And the service - fantastic :) attentive, friendly and competent!

On May 25, 2024, I visited the restaurant in the evening with someone. The service was very poor from the start, the waitresses were consistently unfriendly and impolite. We had to ask several times to order and receive the invoice. We were deprived of a board with current dishes, but other guests, as we later discovered, were not. The drinks and the bowls with the food were carelessly distributed on the table, the actual food was edible, it in no way corresponds to Italian tradition. A re-ordered glass of wine was placed at the edge of the table with the waiter's long face. It was my last visit to this restaurant.

Catastrophe!!!! I've known Italia (at Mimmo) for years. At some point my wife and I decided not to eat there anymore because we didn't like it anymore. However, based on an invitation, we visited the restaurant again. The food was worse than ever. Pasta was more than al dente. Salmon and liver not cooked through, everything covered in sauce, dishes sometimes over-seasoned or not at all. At the end of the celebration at home, except for two people, everyone felt like they were tied up, so the evening came to an early end. You can only avoid the restaurant.

The food was very good, the service was not very attentive and the rooms were rustic. However, far too loud for my taste.

We absolutely don't understand the 4.4 star rating to be honest. We ordered a rumpsteak and angus filet pepe verde. The structure of the Angus filet was good, but the rumpsteak was too dry. The peppersauce wasn't fresh and homemade as we hoped for. The sides (potatoes and mixed veggies) were drowned in way too much olive oil and lost its taste because of it. We were served only one drink a person and weren't asked if we needed any more drinks. At last we had to wait a long time to be able to order desert. This took too long, so we ordered the bill and looked elsewhere for desert!

For over a year now, I've been enjoying going to Valentino, who doesn't just say "good day and goodbye" to his guests, but also likes to have a little chat. Always a good meal without long waiting times and special requests are easily possible. I can recommend him with a clear conscience, because the price/performance is also right.👍🏻👌🏻

We ate in the large room, which was quite noisy. The atmosphere is a bit “dusty” - I didn't like it that much. The food was good, we had something from the daily menu, the standard menu is not very creative and just offers the standards of an Italian restaurant. I don't know if I'll come back again.

The ambience is a bit old, but Ristorante Italia has a large selection of delicious Italian dishes and friendly and attentive service, so deducting one star for the ambience does not detract from the overall rating!

My favorite Italian, it always tastes fresh and delicious like at mom's home! A piece of Italy in Bensberg! Everyone is super friendly and you feel like you're at home. We love being there often and very much. Whether you take it with you or eat it on site, it always tastes good. We also celebrated our civil wedding there, all of our guests were satisfied, every wish was fulfilled! Thank you for existing <3

Essen ist in Ordnung, Bedienung unterirdisch. 1 Getränk in 1 Stunde, keine Nachfrage. Wenn mann Personal fragt verweisen die immer an ein Kollege. Und das während die 2/3 deren Zeit mit leere Hände rumlaufen

Der Besuch ist ein wenig wie Lotto spielen. Man gewinnt oder verliert Richtig gute Speisen inkl.gutem Service gibt es, jedoch nur bei jedem 3.-5.Besuch. Und dann muss die Platzwahl genau bedacht sein . Es stimmt aber der relativ hohe Preis nicht mit dem zunehmend schlechterem Service überein.

Eine Seltenheit, aber es gibt sie noch. ECHTE Italiener mit hauseigener Küche. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Very good food, Service wasn’t the best

Wir haben einen Tisch zu mehreren Personen reserviert. Der Kellner war zwar freundlich aber hat mich falsch verstanden, so das meine Suppe zu spät kam als Hauptgang. Über eine Stunde später kam dann meine Hauptspeise. Wo ich schon nicht mehr mit gerechnet hatte und so mit auch keinen Hunger mehr hatte. Zudem war meine Gnocci mit Gorgonzola leider kein Gorgonzola sondern Mozzarella.. Ein zweites mal werde ich wohl nicht kommen.

Sehr gutes Essen, interessante Karte, ich werde bestommt wiederkommen.

Die Einrichtung hätte vor 20 Jahren mal erneuert werden sollen, vor allem der vordere Bereich ist ziemlich altbacken. Schade. Aber. Und das ist viel wichtiger, das Essen und der Service sind seit vielen Jahren top. Wir kommen gerne wieder und wieder und wieder. Die Antipastiplatte sucht ihresgleichen, fabelhaft!

Essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Ambiente finde ich ist in den 90 er stehen geblieben und viel zu dunkel. Aber dass ist ja eher Nebensache

Das Essen sah mega lecker aus. Es wäre viel besser gewesen wenn der Pizzaboden nicht so MEGA hart gewesen wäre. Der war kaum zu schneiden und zu kauen...

Immer wieder toll hier. Als Vorspeise muss man unbedingt die gratinierten Jakobsmuscheln probieren. Ein Gedicht 🤤 Man kann im Sommer schön draußen sitzen. Der Innenraum ist eher rustikal aber schön eingerichtet. Es gibt immer eine Kreidetafel, wo wechselnde Gerichte ausgewählt werden können. Bisher war alles sehr gut!

Meine Eltern haben im Ristorante Italia vor 40 Jahren ihre standesamtliche Hochzeit gefeiert. Zur Feier des Tages, sind wir dieses Jahr nochmals im Lokal essen gewesen. Das Essen war super lecker, der Service nett und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns alle gut aufgehoben und bewirtet gefühlt. Wir kommen auch ohne Hochzeitstag gerne wieder vorbei 🥰 Buon cibo, buona gente, buona serata!

Tolle Qualität, ehrlich, lecker, freundlich aber unaufdringlich, schnell, aufmerksam. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Das Essen war für uns alle sehr gut. Getrübt wurde der Abend durch den recht unfreundlichen Service. Wir fühlten uns leider nicht als Gast willkommen. Schade, da die Qualität des essen wirklich gepasst hat.

Quando sono a Colonia e dintorni vado sempre al Ristorante Italia. È un ritorno al passato per la mia mente e una goduria per il mio palato. Più passa il tempo e ancor più lo chef Valentino continua a meravigliarmi e a stupirmi. Che sia pizza, antipasto, prima o seconda portata, dessert, lui riesce sempre a dare il massimo e a trasferire il suo amore e la sua passione per la cucina nei suoi piatti. Ein guter Durchschnittsitaliener in netter Gesellschaft. Immer gut besucht und gutem Service. Das Carpaccio di Manzo war etwas sehnig, die Paste vom Vitello Tonnato schmeckte nicht selbstgemacht. Die Dorade war etwas trocken, die Pasta (arrabiata) nicht scharf. Aber gute Pizzen. Offene Weine ok.

Das Restaurant ist unscheinbar und eher nichts wo man schick essen gehen möchte. Allerdings ist das Essen frisch und sehr lecker
