Ristorante Isabella in Harrislee

It's now a must-stop on our route to Denmark. It's super delicious, and the service is excellent. Thank you so much.

As expected, it was quite busy on a holiday. The restaurant's own parking spaces were no longer sufficient, but we still found a parking space nearby. The wait for the appetizer (approx. 45 minutes) and main course was exceptionally long. No one believed in the desserts anymore. The service in general could have been improved. Drinks were only available upon request, and even then, there was a long wait. The food was okay! I expected better service at this price point. The ambiance is debatable. It didn't impress me.

Online reservations worked without any problems. Ordering drinks and food involved a normal wait time. Ordering more drinks proved difficult because no one came to the table. When asked about dessert, they just pointed to the tray on the table. We paid at the counter because no one came to take the cash. Very expensive. A glass of white wine was €9.50, and red wine was €7.50. We won't be back.

Unfortunately, the price of the food doesn't match what you get on your plate. I'd say everything is €3 to €5 too expensive.

We had a wonderful meal here! There's also a tablet on the table so you can place your own order, which is ideal.

The food is okay, but it's usually quite crowded and rather loud. The tiramisu wasn't a highlight.

Overall, the food is fantastic, very tasty. However, it's difficult to get your food on time on a Friday. We waited almost an hour, while the table next door waited 1.5 hours for four pizzas. That's unacceptable. But we've been here many times, and it's not always like this, hence the good rating nonetheless. The food is simply amazing.

Delicious food - and fast: main course and dessert in an hour. When ordering online you can indicate if you are coming for a special occasion. On 2 visits we have written the child's birthday. Nothing further happened on the visit, so I don't know why you can indicate that.

Super delicious, the flank steak is especially recommended. We also ordered a rump steak and sent it back because it wasn't medium. Unfortunately, the second one wasn't medium either. They didn't charge for dessert. Still, highly recommended...

Insanely cozy place, we found it completely by chance, but will definitely return if we are in the area again, the place was completely full inside and out when we were there, the food came quickly and tasted really good, maybe a little on the pricey side but will happily come back again

The food was okay. The service was condescending. The shock came with the bill. I would have liked a salad with fish. I was told I could order the fish dish. And the gratin was to be replaced with salad. Instead, I got the salad and just the fish. No spinach. Nothing else. The fish itself was dry and overcooked. Everything was fine. But they charged me for both. 33 euros for what was essentially three "fish fingers" and 9 euros for the salad. When I asked, the answer was simply "fish would be expensive." Never again Isabella

We hired Isabella to cater our company party. What can I say? It was fantastic. A fantastic selection of antipasti, delicious smoked meats and salmon, a great selection from the fire pit, fantastic vegetarian dishes, and a delicious dessert. Everyone was incredibly happy and satisfied. The two employees were super friendly and welcoming. We would definitely go back. We highly recommend it.

We're completely satisfied every time. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the food is always perfect. They also offer a great lunch menu with a wide selection and a regularly changing daily special.

Disappointing BBQ buffet – chaotic, poorly organized, and no longer recommended We visited Restaurant Isabella again yesterday for the BBQ buffet (€40 per person) – unfortunately, the experience was thoroughly disappointing. Last year, we were thrilled with the buffet: the meat and side dish stations were separated, with well-coordinated time slots, so everything ran smoothly and pleasantly. This time, however, the opposite was the case: meat and side dishes were offered at a single counter, resulting in long lines – waits of 20 to 40 minutes were the norm. Furthermore, the meat was almost always cold, which severely detracted from the dining experience. The antipasti side dishes were very oily. Unfortunately, eating together as a group was out of the question, as everyone was constantly waiting at different times. Even more incomprehensible was the seating of some guests on the terrace – supposedly the weather was too bad for the barbecue buffet in the courtyard, but apparently it was "good enough" for the guests outside? The barbecue was outside anyway, but it was used anyway – the excuse that the buffet had been planned differently, or that the weather was just too bad, was obviously a false excuse. Many of the employees seemed clueless, unfriendly, and unable to provide clear answers. The highlight of the service: A waitress asked how we liked the food – but simply disappeared before we could say anything. All in all, the impression was that the aim was simply to squeeze in as many people as possible – at the expense of quality, service, and atmosphere. We have always been very satisfied with the Isabella, but this experience was unacceptable. Poorly organized, overcrowded, and with a noticeable loss of quality – the BBQ buffet is definitely no longer recommended in this form.

There were five of us dining and we had pasta and pizza dishes. The pasta was rather average, but the pizza was a bit better. Neither pasta nor pizza had the "wow" factor that one would have hoped for at these prices. Plus points for the fact that the food arrived hot and quickly. The service was very brief, except for the tip. In summary: Good food for the price of delicious food. - You should know

Delicious food and good service, we will definitely come back

In our opinion, the best Italian restaurant in the Schleswig-Flensburg area. Very attentive staff, truly excellent food, and a lovely atmosphere – it can get loud, depending on how loud people are talking at neighboring tables – although we've been "lucky" the last few times and everyone in the room has been quiet. For us, that's no reason not to visit this unbeatable restaurant!

First impression: noisy station concourse. The food selection was rather German and limited. The food was quite good. Good value for money at lunch. Everything else... You can go.

First of all, we were all very pleased with our experience at Isabella. The men and I shared a flank steak. It was beautifully presented, very hot, and not too much clutter. The women had the Diavolo and the Pasta Al Forno, also rated 5/5. The only downside was that the pizza knife was too blunt. All in all, a very pleasant stay and a true experience for any meat lover.

We visit this restaurant once or twice a year on our way to Scandinavia. The food is consistently good: delicious pizza and pasta dishes, excellent meat quality, and friendly, professional service from long-standing employees always impress! Hopefully, this restaurant will stay with us for a long time to come! We're already looking forward to our next visit to Flensburg!

I think the restaurant is great and the food is also very good. However, I don't like the atmosphere in the restaurant; it feels like a train station concourse. It's very noisy, and everyone is looking at everyone else at the table.

Are here very regularly. Ido & team always manage to make us feel totally comfortable and eat great, both when meeting friends and family and alone as a couple. The atmosphere feels both chic, familiar and cozy. The Bruscetta is highly recommended, but the changing starters on the current menu are always interesting, and the meat and vegetarian dishes are also delicious. The sole and the scampi or the spagetti made from parmesa with fillet tips are also wonderful... There is a beautiful, Mediterranean flair on the terrace in summer, even without a sea view. Be sure to start the evening with a “Garden Spritz”! The current daily recommendations are explained on the board at the table. Always very happy!

Super tasty food and good service. The service tablets on the tables are a great technical addition to the real service if you want to order drinks or dessert. The parmesan wheel pasta was delicious. The daily menu also had delicious additions to the otherwise good selection.

Funny that such fine food is served in the middle of an industrial district. We have visited the place 4-5 times now and the food has been delicious each time.

Last week I had dinner at Isabella with five friends. Unfortunately, we had to wait almost 40 minutes for food and drinks to arrive, which I found to be quite long. Maybe it would be better to order drinks via the tablet, but that also took quite a long time towards the end of the evening and didn't convince me. The food tastes good, the portions are quite small for the price/performance ratio. I had the pasta from the parmesan wheel (16,-) and actually (as a woman) I wasn't full and couldn't wait for dessert. The creme brulee I chose was good and also reasonably priced at 6.50,-. The ambience only gets 3 stars because it's nice to sit, but the background noise is so loud that you have to talk very loudly to get anywhere. Conclusion: Food is good, portions too small for the price, service not that attentive that evening. I'll definitely try it again

I've eaten there regularly in the past, the menu is very good and the staff is great. The prices are reasonable for the quality. Unfortunately, this is marred by the bad atmosphere: it is far too loud, the dining room is more like a canteen in terms of noise level. This problem can definitely be counteracted through additional sound-absorbing furnishings and, if necessary, structural adjustments.

Seven of us were at Isabella on Christmas Day. It was packed and loud. The restaurant is spacious and dark. Not very festive...reminiscent of a hotel lobby. The staff tried hard but often seemed overwhelmed. The food has always had a good reputation and is on the higher end. This time I was disappointed: Parmesan pearls on arugula for 11 euros as a starter was outrageous. Three leaves of arugula with fried instant cheese balls and a few drops of basil syrup. The main course, ear noodles with fillet tips in tomato sauce, was floury and mushy with minimal meat, but al dente nonetheless. The beer was poured just under the gauge line, but then compensated for with an extra swig in the second glass. Overall, we thought: we won't be dining here again anytime soon...The price/performance ratio was not at all right.

After some years at the source, it's not easy to be satisfied abroad, but they managed to serve us an amazing filet paiered with a great primitivo and very delicious grana spaghetti 🍝 🥩

When my wife and I moved to the North Sea coast, Isabella was highly recommended to us. That was 4 years ago and we have been regular guests ever since and love being pampered with such culinary delights. We then drive home blissfully.

Fast, uncomplicated operation, partly digital from the table

This time I was unfortunately disappointed. The pasta was too salty and was commented on with irony. Two of the other guests, whose food was also oversalted, were offered coffee. For me it was the last visit.

I was invited to Isabella - and this huge, undivided room almost overwhelmed me at the beginning. It looked like a train station hall, only more exclusively furnished. Everything was open and the conversations of the other guests could be heard. But it was early, so it wasn't quite as tragic. Otherwise, an overall nice atmosphere that - if it were less large or open - I would have appreciated more. The table had actually been reserved - even on site just a few days before. Name, phone number - everything had been written down. Unfortunately, the reservation could not be found that evening. What was requested and promised was a quiet table in a corner because of the two dogs... Unfortunately that didn't happen! (Something like that doesn't work!) We were still given a table on the edge. which offered enough space and we just wanted to eat and not linger... The service was friendly and polite... you wouldn't expect anything more. The pizza was AMAZING though! I don't think I've ever eaten such indescribably delicious pizza. Hugely large and filled exactly as it should be. Not too little, not too much... the base is wafer-thin, the edge is crispy... simply delicious! Yes, almost divine! Price-performance is also completely okay. That made up for a lot. I therefore unreservedly recommend Isabella for pizza fans (just know that if you want something other than pizza, you'll have to dig deep into your pockets...)

A restaurant where there is neither anything to complain about nor anything to improve. Everything is perfect at Restaurante Isabella and it couldn't be better. Lots of free parking spaces right in front of the restaurant. Super friendly welcome and a very inviting atmosphere. The drinks are well-themed and the food is beautifully presented and tasted very good to me and my beautiful companion. The restaurant is a bit out of the way in Harrislee, but a visit is 100% worth it and you will remember the lovely stay in this restaurant for a long time. So always very happy.

Pleasant atmosphere and very good food. We were a small group with food ranging from pizza to saltimbocca. Everything was very good and large pizza with generous toppings, the saltimbocca was very well topped with bacon and fried deliciously. There was plenty of staff with quick service. We'd love to come back. Otherwise, the restaurant is a bit out of the way in the commercial area. This at least prevents you from drinking a lot of alcohol.

We have been coming to Restaurant Isabella for ages and have never been disappointed. Food very tasty, large portions and reasonable prices. The only things that are a bit annoying are the increased drink prices and the increased noise level when the house is busy, but the food and the always friendly staff skilfully compensate for this.

The food was world class. Excellent. Good cook! Only the mayo and ketchup were delivered in cheap plastic containers from the discount store. Fat minus. Waiters were also mediocre to bad. Loveless outside area. The interior was very nicely done. Prices rather high. 5 people 165€ 33€/p.p. Not an eye-catcher from outside either. Overall just ok. Price/performance so-so. Were there with 13 people (pre-booked). Food delicious, but very expensive! The long waiting times between the starter, main course and dessert were catastrophic; in total we were there for 3 hours! The dishes also didn't arrive at the same time and were sometimes incomplete! The price/performance ratio doesn't fit when I quote prices like that!

Was here with the entire family. Food & desserts were good, fresh, and service was fast and friendly. The only downside was that I did not expect the lasagna to be buried under this heavy creamy liquid. It muted all flavor of the meat and sauce and flavor-wise it was too heavy.

Always worth a visit. Friendly service, good service and a first-class selection of Italian dishes. Update 2024-04-30: After a long time, I was back at Isabella within a short time. With mixed “results”. Unfortunately the service forgot our drinks and they came with the starter. On the 2nd visit the service was as it should be. Therefore 3 stars for the service. The food and the menu have been "spruced up" a bit - the tuna rolls are great as a starter! In general it became a bit more modern. Unfortunately, the ambience only gets 3 stars. The restaurant was well attended on both visits. However, it is also quite loud - the mood and ambience has something of Halle about it. It seems loud and conversations across the table are difficult to hold. It would be great if "dividers" or sound absorbers could divide the large room if necessary. Update 2018-12-20: Reduced to 4 stars. Unfortunately, the dishes rarely or never change. The monthly menu is okay, but the menu needs to be updated every now and then.

Update 04/2024 - unfortunately the mousse is no longer super creamy, but rather a powder mousse. A pity. I don't think the new rule that you can only stay there for a limited time depending on the number of participants is customer-friendly. Eating out in comfort is different. The fillet steak was perfect, the mousse was a dream. Only the bruschetta was a bit tasteless. Drinks can be ordered quickly using the tablet at the table. Very tasty but also somewhat expensive cocktails. Unfortunately a bit loud when the place is full. Unfortunately the second time we waited an hour for food. The LavaChokoCake was dry like stale bread. The lady who serves is not that attentive and quite unfriendly. The other waitresses are mostly friendly and attentive.

We have been there for the third time now and have been thrilled every time. The atmosphere is very cozy and pleasant, the service is humorous and attentive at the same time. The food is incredible, today we had the dry aged rib-eye steak and it was amazing. Simply delicious. Definitely my favorite restaurant in the Flensburg area. Will probably be my new regular restaurant 🤗

Very great restaurant, super good food and great staff. When all the tables are occupied it just gets a bit noisy. I think it's great that you can take your dog with you.

They claim to be an Italian restaurent. But the pizzas served, had the same taste, and appearance as the cheapest from Lidl freezer... Its an direct insult to call it pizza.. And when i informed staff about it, they just looked at me, as i was stupid . 36€ wasted... Your better off going anywhere else..

My absolute favorite restaurant for many years!!! The service is absolutely great and the selection is very good, even though I usually order the same thing because it is just that good. The parmesan pasta with beef fillet tips is highly recommended! After dinner, have one of the delicious desserts or a hot drink and the evening is a success. Clear recommendation for this store!

Updated: You can eat very well here in the Flensburg area. Somewhat upscale ambience, interesting selection of food. We ate flank steak here, carved at the table and grilled on hot lava stone at the table: very tasty 😋 The restaurant seems to be in high demand, so you should make a reservation. However, the loveless, upscale ambience of a “hall in an industrial area” remains. Old: Good service at fair prices; appears to be of high quality with the possibility of eating outside. Nice ambience. One point deducted for the location in the industrial area between halls and truck stops.

The older gentleman in service was simply unfriendly and anything but professional! There were raw thirds of garlic cloves in my salad, which I unfortunately noticed far too late. There is NOTHING about garlic on the menu! When the gentleman asked if everything was okay, I answered honestly. He didn't seem to care because he walked away while I was still talking. At the next table a large steak was brought to the table on some kind of stone. Looked delicious. The problem is that now I not only smell garlic coming out of my mouth, but my clothes smell like grilling! Never again! After paying the full price, I said again that there was no need to ask how it was if it was irrelevant anyway. Then the Lord called me and said: You finished eating and continued wiping his table!
