Addendum: We then ordered pizza to be delivered, but unfortunately it couldn't be compared to the one in the restaurant. So I wouldn't recommend it for delivery. Too bad! I have been coming to the Golden Hecht for many years and have always been satisfied with the quality of the food and the service. Highly recommended Italian restaurant.

We ordered pizzas and lasagna. The pizzas were okay, but we had the impression that the restaurant sold different/better pizzas. The lasagna just wasn't good. The “béchamel sauce” was no longer a sauce but rather large solid sour lumps. There was hardly any meat in the Bolognese sauce, and it wasn't particularly tasty either. We won't be ordering from there anymore.

Beautifully decorated restaurant, with a good layout, so the ambience is really pleasant! We got a nice spot for three quite spontaneously and late on Sunday evening, which was really perfect. The service was super friendly and I even got tips for my next trip to Napoli 😄 The food was absolutely fantastic and we can absolutely recommend the whole season menu at this time (August 2024). I was particularly impressed by the Neapolitan fried appetizer 😍 I can also recommend the homemade aperitivo, which is very refreshing, and the open Chardonnay. We will absolutely come back when we visit our friend in Erlangen!

Stayed at Cesare Erlangen today. So I love it, Italian cuisine at its finest, had salmon pasta with asparagus. And the boss of the house is a true Italian, with heart and commitment to his restaurant. In Erlangen I will only feast there 😁😁 many greetings from a happy guest

I ordered 8 pizzas and only 6 were delivered I had already paid via Paypal, otherwise I would have forgone the subsequent delivery When the delivery was made after 1 hour, I had to pay for the pizzas again After a long discussion over the phone with Lieferando Booten, I received my 2 pizzas Bad service was no excuse, I had to justify myself

We were there spontaneously and were once again very satisfied. We sat outside and were served quickly and very friendly. The drinks came quickly and the appetizer (bruschetta) didn't take long to arrive either. Very tasty and crispy. The Vitello Tonnato was very tasty and the Pizza Buffalina was also convincing. The local prices are really reasonable and the seating inside and out is very nice. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately, our experiences were mostly negative, typical classics were over-salted, sauce tasted the same in all dishes, and noodles were soft. Toilets were not lockable. We were disappointed.

The Golden Hecht in Erlangen is an absolute insider tip. Led by a great team led by Cesare, this restaurant stands out for its outstanding service. The staff is always friendly, attentive and strives to provide guests with an unforgettable experience. Particularly noteworthy is Cesare, a fantastic host and brilliant pizza maker. The pizza at Goldener Hecht is simply brilliant. Authentically Neapolitan and prepared in the middle of Erlangen, there is no better pizza in the city - except perhaps in Naples itself. The ambience is rustic and friendly, but still extremely well maintained. The quality of the ingredients is of the highest quality. The Italian Napolitano Soul cuisine is not just cooked here, but prepared with the love and care that is practiced by the grandmothers in Naples. The result is a culinary experience that you should definitely try for yourself. The Golden Hecht not only offers excellent food, but also excellent value for money. I can highly recommend a visit here. Come and see for yourself!

There were 6 of us here for our daughter's birthday. Had previously reserved a table in a corner online. It also worked very well. Very friendly service; However, we forgot to order soup from the kitchen twice. The service lady immediately apologized and otherwise the food was excellent. Rather high price level but reasonable. The ambience could be renewed a bit. Doesn't have the feel of a sophisticated Italian restaurant. By the way: The best place to park is in the Fuchsenwiesen. Theater square is almost always full.

Ordered three pizzas, it took a very long time... We were very happy, then came the big disappointment... The pizzas were topped with champions that were black and brown and smelled very disgusting! I complained afterwards and was then told that the mushrooms had been in the water for a long time. Never, never, ever again!

Food was good to very good. We didn't have to wait long. We ate in the restaurant. There was an aperative at the end. When we wanted to pay, the boss came. We had to tell him what we had and he added everything up Block. (I thought we would get a bill because of the receipt requirement). Then he said 144 euros. I thought that was a bit high but didn't think anything of it at first and gave him 150 euros and said that's true. He thanked me. We went out. I added everything up again because what he charged seemed high to me. It came to 125 euros. I did the math again. Again 125 euros. So I would have paid 130 with a tip. He charged us 20 euros too much. I didn't think it was ok at all. I'll never eat there again because of the rip-off.

At Cesare there is always great Italian dishes, especially fish dishes and delicious daily menus. When I'm in Erlangen, I always stop there.

We ordered three pizzas and dessert. The pizza was terrible. Waited over an hour. Then she was almost cold and mushy. I've never had anything like this before. Dessert was OK.

Edit 2023: tried to have this review deleted, so 0 stars and I certainly won't eat here again. Seems to have slowed down quite a bit in the last few months. The pizza is good, no question about it, but in fact it's only partially proven. The covering starts almost three centimeters lower (see picture). So I got a small sandwich pizza, not what I wanted. Why do you think I order a large pizza? Because I assume there is more coating on it than a small one. Do I order here again? Probably not, because to me that's cheating.

Order placed around 11:15 a.m. with delivery time at 12:00 p.m., pizzas were delivered at 12:50 p.m. and were now completely soaked. This is the second time this has happened. Was the last order there.

Auch am Service gibt es nichts auszusetzen, absolut freundlich, aufmerksam und zügig. Kurzgefasst: Der beste „traditionelle“ Italiener in Erlangen - immer wieder gern!

edit 2023: owner has tried to delete this review by means of a lawyer, claiming I cannot prove I was an actual customer and the review was fake. This is all you need to know really... Pretty average tasting food - dough is done well, sauce was watery but okay. Owner seems to be controlling which leads to miscommunication (we were brought multiple drinks twice despite ordering once, clarified vegetarian substitution to a dish was disregarded and served with meat). Waiting time for the wood was almost one hour. We also didn't pay the waitress, but the owner himself who re-took our whole order again at the end adding everything up.. not sure what's going on there. There were a couple of disturbances during our stay like staff arguing with people passing by. All in all not really a pleasurable experience.

Das ist von guter Qualität. Sehr freundlich zugewandtes Personal. Kleine Unannehmlichkeiten werden umgehend entschuldigt und ausgebessert, ohne Diskussionen. Der Service ist manchmal etwas langsam, bzw. der Koch, aber das Essen ist sehr lecker. Die Preise sind angemessen. Der Gastraum ist ein wenig urig, aber sauber und angenehm. Der Aussenbereich ist ebenfalls sauber und angenehm. Die Sanitäranlagen sind vorhanden und einwandfrei, sauber. Ich kann diese Gastwirtschaft nur empfehlen . Wir kommen jetzt regelmässig hier her.

Wir hatten Lust auf eine Fischplatte und kannten den Goldenen Hecht noch aus den 2000er Jahren. Unser Fazit: Bis darauf, dass der Chef noch derselbe ist, ist der Goldene Hecht zwischenzeitlich ein absolutes No-Go geworden. Mehr als nur schmuddelig um den Pizzaofen herum (Wäre definitiv einen Besuch des Gesundheitsamtes wert), Pippigeruch von den Toiletten ins Restaurant herein, ungepflegte, schmuddelige Köche, die im Innenhof lautstarkt ihre Zigarttenpausen machen; eine völlig gastronomieunerfahrene Servicekraft , völlig inakzeptable Wartezeit (bei nahezu leerem Restaurant; das Geschäft scheint mittlerweile eher auf Take away ausgerichtet zu sein) und zwei winzige, also völlig überteuerte und komplett versalzene und zu Tote gegrillte, also völlig trockene Fisch"platten". Nie mehr wieder.

Perfekt um draußen in der malerischen Gasse zu sitzen und Top süditalienische Küche zu genießen. Familiengeführt, voller Seele und geschmacklich einzigartig.

Schön war es. Die Pizza war grandios. Selten habe ich einen solch knusprigen Pizzateig gegessen. Wirklich empfehlenswert!

Tolle Pizza! Wir waren zum Abendessen im gemütlichen Außenbereich bei sonnigem Septemberwetter. Wir hatten Pizza Schinken Champignon und Pizza Caterina mit Nduja. Der Teig beider Pizzen war absolut top: Aussen leicht knusprig, innen fluffig, grosse Blasen. So geht Pizza! Der Belag der Schinken Champignon war reichlich, die Nduja (scharfe bröselige italienische Wurst) war von top Qualität. Nach dem Essen noch ein nettes Gespräch mit dem Inhaber. Man sieht uns wieder!

Eine zu 100% Geschmackvolle Pizzeria die in der Region ihres gleichen sucht . Ein wirklich exzellenter Geschmack Der Pasta Gerichte , besonders die Rigatoni al forno . Perfekt abgeschmeckte Soßen und die Nudeln perfekt al dente . Die Pizza ist auch Original Neapolitanisch sehr lecker . Die Preise sind total angemessen und fair . Kann diese Pizzeria nur empfehlen . Die Vorspeisenplatte für 6 Leute war einmalig! Ich habe noch nie eine Bessere mit mehr Auswahl gegessen! Auch die Meeresfrüchtepizza war phantastisch! Würde fürs Essen auch gerne mehr Punkte geben! Nicht so gut ist die Bestuhlung draußen: super eng und wenig Platz, aber das Essen macht fast alles wieder wett.

Looks very authentic ! All the service people are Italians and many customers are also Italians ! It means there is no doubt that the place is authentic. 1. Atmosphere: when I entered the place, I feel I am in old Italian osteria located in near coasts. When it comes to mood, almost perfect if you wanna enjoy exotic atmosphere. 2. Food: for me it was a bit salty and sea foods especially shrimps were under cooked. And the pasta in the picture was wrong pasta. We ordered different one but the pasta in the picture was served. But it was okay for me. Fish dish was quite good and well cooked with proper saltiness. 3. Service: all the people were gentle and nice. 4. Price: for me, the prices of foods are quite high. A glass of wine is 6.5 euros with so-so quality and foods are relatively expensive and it was fully not worth in my opinion. Overall, the place is good to visit!
