We were here for lunch. The food was excellent, the portions large, the food very tasty, the authentic, and the service super friendly and fun. A definite must-try for Erlangen. The small alley and the service there almost make you feel like you're in Italy. We'll definitely be back.

Too expensive, and we waited forever for our food. It was just average.

This restaurant has wonderful menu choices, the food is delicious, the service was great and the seating outdoors for the four of us was perfect too! Lasagne was excellent, as well as the special salad for two, mediterranean pizza, minestrone soup, pumpkin stuffed ravioli.

Very polite and attentive service, shared two meals. It went smoothly. Wonderful appetizer platter. Finally, no ham, salami, melon, or artichokes from a jar... but everything vegetable-based (except for the luscious vitello tonnato) and lovingly homemade! Sharing would have been enough. Of course, we had the rest packed up. All in all, a wonderful experience! We'll be back!

For our starter, we had bruschetta – it tasted good, although in our experience, you can't really go wrong with it. For our main course, we both chose grilled calamari. Unfortunately, it was barely seasoned, served lukewarm, and extremely tough, making it very difficult to cut. We really enjoy this dish and have recently had it at two other restaurants – where it was significantly tastier, more tender, and better prepared. We paid €80 for a starter, two main courses, and two drinks. Given the quality, we didn't think it was good value for money.

Nice, but unfortunately, the food for our group (11 people) came in three batches. Some had to wait longer, while the others had already finished eating. It's better to eat in smaller groups. The pasta was a bit too al dente. The leather benches are showing their age, and some tables need a superficial touch-up by the carpenter.

I really like this spicy sauce pizza - pizza caterina I brought different friends here to eat 5 or 6 times, and the homemade hot sauce on the pizza and the burrata cheese were really just right. If the boss could sell this hot sauce, I would buy a separate portion. It seems that one time the boss explained that this is a secret spicy sausage. The tiramisu was very good, and the after-dinner wine was also delicious. It was not alcoholic and overpowering the star anise wine, but sweet. Ich liebe die scharfe Pizza bei Pizza Caterina sehr! Ich habe schon fünf- oder sechsmal verschiedene Freunde hierher mitgebracht. Die hausgemachte scharfe Sauce zusammen mit der Burrata ist einfach perfekt. Wenn der Chef diese Sauce verkaufen würde, würde ich sie sofort einzeln kaufen. The richness of the gut, the digestion of the schmeckt ebenfalls – nicht wie ein starker Anisschnaps, sondern schön süß.

We tried two Pizzas. One with the pistachio creme and the other one with the truffel creme. We wanted to try something different compared to the normal tomato sause. Kudos to the innovation, It tasted good but we would stick to the normal one. The service and ambience was good.

We discovered this restaurant while passing through when we were spontaneously looking for a good Italian restaurant. Parking in the area is difficult, but that has little to do with the actual rating. The restaurant itself is a lovingly restored, typically traditional Franconian restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Subtle, relaxing music in the background creates a pleasant atmosphere. The service is extremely friendly and attentive. The staff regularly asks whether everything is OK without seeming intrusive. Unfortunately there were some defects in the quality of the food. The pizzas were overcooked on the edges while the base was completely soggy. The tuna salad was served with a yogurt dressing, which didn't taste good and didn't seem very Italian. The pizza bread was burnt in places and had to be removed from the black coating. Unfortunately, the tortellini was also overcooked, fell apart and had a mushy consistency. A bright spot was the tiramisu, which was creamy and had a perfectly balanced sweetness. Overall, a really nice location with great service, but the kitchen needs to be improved in a few areas. It's a shame, because the errors could have been avoided and can certainly be improved.

Here you immediately feel welcome and are greeted by the boss himself. The pizza is exactly as it should be: bianco e nero (if you like it less dark, you have to say so). The meat dishes are also very tasty.

The pizza is good, no question about it, but in fact it's only partially proven. The covering starts almost three centimeters lower (see picture). So I got a small sandwich pizza, not what I wanted. Why do you think I order a large pizza? Because I assume there is more coating on it than a small one. Do I order here again? Probably not, because to me that's cheating.

Bei den hohen Preisen hatte ich besseres erwartet. Die Pizza Catarina war als sehr scharf ausgezeichnet. Die Schärfe sollte durch Nduja (scharfe Paprikawurst aus Kalabrien) kommen. Leider war Nduja nur in homöopathischer Dosierung verwendet, war wohl zu teuer im Enkauf. In anderen Lokalen waren die Pizzen mit Nduja wesentlich schärfer (und preiswerter).

On our first visit the service was a disaster. Since everyone has a bad day, we decided to give the store a second chance, but this time too we were extremely disappointed with the service. The orders were taken in a confused manner and we only received the requested plates for our starter after 10 minutes. The starter was now cold. The main courses came at different times which is annoying but still acceptable. We then received the bill with a 15-20 minute delay and we were charged for dessert that we hadn't ordered. We asked for a new invoice which was again incorrect. When we were able to work with the boss to settle the correct drinks and food, he gave us change, which wasn't enough. At first he hesitated then he gave it to us because we looked at him very puzzled. The food is good, but the service is poor. The table arrangement was also very narrow, so that you were almost sitting on your neighbor's lap. The delivery service is said to be quite good. At least something.

Obwohl anfangs wenig, später außer uns gar nichts mehr los war, kam in den 2 Stunden während unseres Aufenthaltes niemand vorbei, um neue Getränke anzubieten. Hatten den Eindruck, dass man darauf wartet, dass wir dann auch gehen (ca. 19.30-21.30). Pizza hatte unten „sehr viel Röstaroma“, teils nicht essbar. Außerdem war die Bedienung schusselig, so dass es zu einer Überschwemmung am Tisch kam. In einem guten Restaurant erwarte ich dann, dass Ersatzgetränke aufs Haus gehen… war leider nicht der Fall.Es wurde alles berechnet. Außerdem finde ich es sehr dreist von Seiten der Bedienung, beim Kassieren ein Trinkgeld vorzuschlagen, mit der Begründung, das ginge mit dem EC-Cash-Gerät einfacher per Zusatztaste! Frech! Wer Trinkgeld will, sollte Service bieten. Ohne mich in Zukunft.

All dishes were excellently arranged - the eye eats with us :-) the service was super friendly, the boss personally also recommended the house that wasn't on the menu. It's just a shame that they didn't ask for more drinks because our table was very thirsty. So the empty glasses stood for three quarters of an hour :-/

Ordered pizza for the first time even though we only live 2 minutes away... The pickup went very well and the pizza was very good and tasty.... Only the salad didn't have any dressing or there was just a splash of balsamic vinegar... We'll definitely order again

Once and never again!😡 The pizza arrived cold and with hard cheese, tasted like it was 3 days old!!! Our request for Tabasco and garlic was simply ignored😤 The edge is soggy and tomato sauce was saved, but there was an excess of DRY cheese. Not recommended (at least not for ordering).
